VShojo announced on social media that Vtuber Matara Kan will no longer be a part of the company starting on May 5, 2025. Matara also shared a statement immediately after, in which she said the decision came on March 6, 2025, and that she will continue to stream under that identity using that IP after May 5, 2025.

In the announcement Matara Kan made, she specifically phrased it as “VShojo made the decision to part ways with me on March 6th, effective May 5th” when discussing the situation.
Back on March 6, 2025, Matara made a vague statement on social media. In it, she said, “Today is the day. Momo’s send me your energy! I need it.” She didn’t elaborate on circumstances at the time. She also took off the week of April 20, 2025, then promised a stream on April 28, 2025. One of her last streams was back on April 8, 2025, when she did a chatting and Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 stream.
Matara Kan first debut as a VShojo Vtuber back AmaLee, she launched with the group. While she said she will stream on April 28, 2025, she hasn’t set a time for it yet as of time of writing.
