Phillip “MowtenDoo” Fortunat, chief marketing officer at VShojo and one of its co-founder, announced he would leave the company. He started the organization alongside CEO Justin “Gunrun” Ignacio and COO Daniel “Apek” Sanders in November 2020. In the official notice, he stated the reason involved an opportunity to “explore new creative endeavors.”

In the announcement, Fortunat noted this is a voluntary decision. He also noted he was proud of the work with the company and working alongside individuals. He also called this a chance “to embark on a new chapter of creative fulfillment.” The statement also closed with the phrase, “See you soon.” This could suggest that, while MowtenDoo is leaving VShojo, he could remain in the streaming or gaming industry.

This is the second VShojo departure in May 2025, as Vtuber Matara Kan left on May 5, 2025. She is still streaming and performing under that identity. Even so, she’s still collaborated with people from the company since then. On May 10, 2025, she played World of Warcraftwith VShojo’s Geega, Henya, and Zentraya. 

VShojo will celebrate its fifth anniversary on November 24, 2025.

VShojo announced on social media that Vtuber Matara Kan will no longer be a part of the company starting on May 5, 2025. Matara also shared a statement immediately after, in which she said the decision came on March 6, 2025, and that she will continue to stream under that identity using that IP after May 5, 2025.

In the announcement Matara Kan made, she specifically phrased it as “VShojo made the decision to part ways with me on March 6th, effective May 5th” when discussing the situation. 

Back on March 6, 2025, Matara made a vague statement on social media. In it, she said, “Today is the day. Momo’s send me your energy! I need it.” She didn’t elaborate on circumstances at the time. She also took off the week of April 20, 2025, then promised a stream on April 28, 2025. One of her last streams was back on April 8, 2025, when she did a chatting and Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 stream. 

Matara Kan first debut as a VShojo Vtuber back on October 15, 2023. Unlike some who the company with prior identities, such as Ironmouse or AmaLee, she launched with the group. While she said she will stream on April 28, 2025, she hasn’t set a time for it yet as of time of writing.

Vtuber Daiya Fortuna is the latest member of PixelLink to become an independent performer. She announced on social media that, with the help of Vshojo Vtuber Zentreya, she was able to purchase the IP rights from the company in order to continue to work under the name.

PixelLink, a Vtuber talent agency that started operating in November 2022, announced that the company would cease operation on March 31, 2025. This is due to the health issues of its CEO. As a result, every Vtuber the company represented would graduate. PixelLink stated that certain Vtubers, like Kanna Yanagi, Raki Kazuki and Chiaki Katsumi, would be able to continue using their IPs after the closure of PixelLink. Kanna Yanagi had her IP released from PixelLink on February 22, 2025, and the others are still finalizing the details of their release.

Daiya Fortuna was originally slated to graduate and begin streaming under a different identity, but thanks to Zentreya, she was able to gain the rights to her Vtuber IP. She announced her circumstances and went into further detail about everything in a YouTube stream on February 27, 2025. As a result of Daiya now being the sole owner of her IP, every piece of income and merchandise sales resulting from it will be going directly to Daiya Fortuna and her merchandise partners.

As for Zentreya, she is known for her outreach and assistance to other Vyubers. She expressed interest in helping fund a new Vtuber's debut back in July of 2024

As of now, PixelLink has not made any further comments about the negotiations with their other talent who are still negotiating the final release of their IPs. Graduation events will be held for all of the graduating talent until March 16th.

Sanrio has teased the performances of Vshojo Vtubers Ironmouse and Kson in the Sanrio Virtual Festival 2025. The company posted two videos of the artists rehearsing on social media alongside the dates of their performances.

Ironmouse will perform on 2 timeslots at the Sanrio Virtual Festival 2025, slated for February 23, 2025 set for at 10:30pm and 6:30pm Japan Standard Time (JST,) with another performance scheduled for March 9 at 1:30pm JST. Her Time Shift performance is set for March 17 at 7:30am JST. Additionally, Ironmouse’s rehearsal video features the artist performing “Sour Taste” while wearing an outfit featuring a Cinnamoroll head accessory. You can check out the video here:

Similarly, Kson’s performances on February 23, 2025 will happen at 11pm and 7pm JST. Her March 9 performance is scheduled for 2pm JST, while her March 17 Time Shift performance will happen at 8am JST. Meanwhile, the Kson rehearsal video for Sanrio Virtual Festival 2025 shows her performing a cover of Kenshi Yonezu’s Vocaloid song “Matryoshka,” released under his Hachi alias. The Sanrio Virtual Festival is running until March 9, 2025. Ironmouse and Kson will perform on February 23 and March 9, 2025 at different timeslots, and Time Shift broadcasts are set for March 17, 2025.

Both VShojo and AmaLee announced she is part of the company, and she has a new Mafia Monarch Vtuber model to celebrate. She already held her first stream with the company on Twitch. There is also an official merchandise collection to celebrate her arrival at the VShojo storefront.

AmaLee started her January 26, 2025 stream with MiSide and her chibi model. At about the three hour mark in the stream, she took a break and returned with her Mafia Monarch model and the office background. This is the same location VShojo teased in all of the videos leading up to the announcement. During this part of the stream, she talked about her ing the company. She confirmed this didn’t happen because of the English auditions opened up in 2024. She also took to social media to make a statement about that. She mentioned her ing “has been in the works for almost a year and a half.”

Ironmouse will be one of the Vtubers appearing to perform at Sanrio Virtual Festival 2025. The VShojo Vtuber will appear twice at the virtual event, which will run throughout February and March 2025.

Sanrio has put up a webpage dedicated to Ironmouse on the event's official site, and it is also available in English. The page also includes a comment from the Vtuber, whose favorite Sanrio character is Cinnamoroll. The latter is arguably the most famous Sanrio mascot in recent years, as he has won the Sanrio Ranking Contest for five consecutive years from 2020 to 2024.

Ironmouse will not be the only one from renowned Vtuber groups to appear at the Sanrio Virtual Festival. The virtual event will also feature the appearances of Nijisanji's Higuchi Kaede and Tsukino Mito, Hololive Indonesia's Moona Hoshinova, and JKT48V—the Vtuber unit of AKB48's Jakarta-based branch JKT48.

Sanrio Virtual Festival will run from February 9, 2025, until March 9, 2025. Ironmouse will appear twice at the virtual event on February 23, 2025, and March 9, 2025. A Time Shift broadcast for the archives will also be available on March 17, 2025.

VShojo Vtuber Kson shared a message from the automated social media StreamerBans that announced she has been banned from streaming on Twitch. If we check her Twitch page, you only see the typical message that reads, “This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch's Community Guidelines or of Service.”

Kson didn’t explain what might be going on. When she shared the notice, her only comment was “Nooooo.” You can see that below:

While Kson does stream on Twitch, you can also find the Vshojo Vtuber on YouTube, so we should still see new streams from her even though she’s been banned. Her last one aired on January 8, 2025. It was a collab in which she played Monster Hunter Portable 3rd with Tomari Mari, Tenkai Tsukasa, and Coromin. 

Kson isn’t the only Vshojo Vtuber dealing with Twitch issues recently. Back in September 2024, when the company started cracking down on these types of performers, Zentreya ended up getting a warning for “sexual themes.” When that happened, she explained that it had to do with her swimsuit outfit.

Twitch and Kson didn’t note when her ban on the platform will end. You can see her as a ing character in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Zentreya, a Vtuber with VShojo, unveiled a Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Nihilister cosplay model for her seventh anniversary and showed an updated version of her Nendoroid. She also announced a new Agent Ink merchandise collection that includes two types of dakimakura pillow cases and an esports jersey. 

To start the stream, Zentreya showed off the Nihilister NIKKE cosplay model. In the game, the character is a member of the Heretic squad that is an attacker and sniper. She has a similar hairstyle and look compared to Zentreya. Shift Up and VShojo management spoke to get approval for her new look, so the cosplay design was done with the company’s full approval.

In the case of the Zentreya Nendoroid, she shared an updated, in-progress photo of the unpainted prototype. She confirmed that the final version of the figure will include a Gekko accessory, a sword for her to wield, and multiple face plates.

As for the Agent Ink items, the options vary. The esports jersey is $74.99. When ordering, the company lets you add your gamertag or change the number on the back. The dakimakura is offered in $84.99 standard and $94.99 extra large varieties. It features the dragon version of her on one side and the cyber cyborg version on the other. You also have the option of getting those with stuffing for $209.99 or $244.99, respectively. There is also a bundle for $384.99 that gives you one of each case with stuffing.

VShojo officially revealed its new Vtubers on social media, and it is a four-person of Japanese performers group known as VShojo Nova. The group consists of the previously teased, bilingual streamer Hestia Happiness, as well as apparent newcomers Akatsuki Hotaru, Okamoto Nagi, and Yutori Peke.

First, here’s the full VShojo Nova announcement, which shows art of the four Vtubers ing the company. As expected, they are all Japanese. There’s no notice about a debut date yet, but the social media s and both Twitch and YouTube s for each of them are available.

Here’s the list of where you can find and follow all four of the new performers. No schedules are live on their video s.

So far, Hestia is the only one who seems to be ing with an existing identity. Hotaru, Nagi, and Peke’s s are all new and don’t include any past content. As such, we don’t know if they are complete newcomers or perhaps entertainment veterans. In addition to Hestia posting in English in the past, Hotaru also made two tweets with English in them. 

We still haven’t heard any news about new English-speaking Vtubers for VShojo. The company opened auditions for them in July 2024, not long after putting out a call for folks for the Japanese branch. This means we could see the company grow further either at the end of 2024 or beginning of 2025.

VShojo Nova is on the way, though there is no debut date for the generation yet.

People online analyzing VShojo teasers and hints about the new Vtubers found information that suggests Hestia Happiness may be ing the company. Marleli on the Virtual YouTubers subreddit shared a compilation of images from Michi Mochievee and Projekt Melody streams that includes a “plush” and “ghost” that resembles the character, and the silhouette shared in the November 11, 2024 teaser features her distinctive halo. As a reminder, the teaser images for the new performers have always appeared on both the English and Japanese branch social media s. The Japanese auditions also opened before the English ones.

Hestia Happiness is an independent Vtuber who speaks Japanese and English. She’s been active with a 2D model since April 2024. She can be found on both Twitch and YouTube. In addition to general gaming streams, she’s also performed covers prior to her 2D debut. One was her take on an English version of the Chainsaw Man theme song “Kick Back.”

Hestia announced on social media that she would be taking a break from streaming on November 8, 2024. This happened before the VShojo teases started appearing. Her last stream prior to that was an Earth Defense Force 6 collab.

The Streamer Awards 2024 candidates for Best Vtuber were revealed, and this year VShojo Ironmouse and Zentreya, the indie Vtubers Dokibird, and the AI Vtuber Neuro-sama on Vedal987’s channel are the nominees. Ironmouse previously won the award in 2022 and 2023.

This marks the first time both Dokibird and Zentreya have been nominated for the Best Vtuber category at The Streamer Awards. In the case of Dokibird, it is because she returned to streaming in February 2024 after taking a break in May 2021.

Ironmouse is also nominated in multiple categories this year. She’s up for Best Marathon Stream and The Sapphire Award as well. For the former, it is for her Ironmouse Subathon 2024. The latter category is for Best Female / Marginalized Gender Streamer of the Year. 

As a reminder, people are the ones who vote who will be the nominees in every category for The Streamer Awards each year. Then, ahead of the show, we vote for the nominees on the official site to determine the winners. 

While these are the four nominees for Vtubers in this category, some appear in other categories as well. For example, Onigiri is up for Best Creative Arts Streamer. She was nominated for that category in 2023 as well. VShojo is also up for the Best Content Organization award. 

On December 7, 2024, The Streamer Awards will air and we will learn if Dokibird, Ironmouse, Neuro-sama (Vedal987), or Zentreya will be named Best Vtuber.

Both the VShojo English and Japanese social media s shared an image teasing five possible new Vtubers for the company, and it seems like they could be people from or in Japan. There’s no text alongside it to provide additional hints. It’s only accompanied by the #VShojo hashtag. 

Here is the teaser art. It seems to show Tokyo, with the Rainbow Bridge ahead of Tokyo Tower. There are five portals open in the sky. At the moment, one silhouette for what may be a new Vtuber appears on the far right side of the image. There seems to be enough room for four more to also appear in the foreground alongside that person.

Back in July 2024, VShojo announced its branch in Japan was looking for new Japanese Vtubers to the company. At the moment, the two main representatives there are Kson and Henya the Genius. Amemiya Nazuna used to be a part of the company, but announced s

However, we could also eventually see new who aren’t tied to that branch. In July 2024, auditions also opened for the English branch. Around that time, Zentreya also announced that she would like to fund a Vtuber debut for a newcomer.

We’ll know more about the new potential VShojo Vtubers in the near future, with both of the social media s being the best way to track updates on reveals and identities.

VShojo Vtuber Ironmouse announced that she voiced a character in the English version of Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising. The character in question is Dormouse, who will appear as Vikala's companion shikigami.

Dormouse is a sentient shikigami shaped like a steel jaw trap. It will appear in some of Vikala's attacks, such as the Skybound Art attack Gilded Heaven Strike. As a side note, Hayden Daviau is performing as the English voice actress for the main character Vikala, who will the Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising roster as the sixth DLC character.

At the same time, Cygames has also published the Japanese voiceover version of the same attack footage. Satomi Koorogi, the voice actress who also voiced May in the Guilty Gear series, is voicing Dormouse in the Japanese Granblue Fantasy releases.

Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising is available worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. Dormouse will accompany Vikala, who will appear as a new DLC character on October 25, 2024. Besides purchasing the DLC, players of the fighting game will also have to apply the version 1.60 update that comes on the same day to gain access to Vikala and Dormouse.

On September 30, 2024, during the Ironmouse Twitch subathon, the VShojo Vtuber hit a new world record for subscribers on the service. She has 2.1 million followers on her channel and 320,728 subs as of 9:50am ET on October 1, 2024. 

As part of her subathon commitment and promotion, Ironmouse said half of all of the money she raised will go to the Immune Deficiency Foundation. The performer has been outspoken about her own health issues and frequently s the charity. In 2024, she held a charity Throne of Heresy Dungeons and Dragonscampaign with fellow VShojo Vtubers and contributed a song to the Compromised: Life Without Immunity documentary put together by it. She took part in a “Meet the Stars of Compromised” as well.

The official Twitch social media shared the news when Ironmouse ed the 306,000 milestone mark. This beat a record previously held by streamer Kai Cenat. 

Ironmouse herself also shared a message and screenshot of the moment on social media. She thanked people for her when commemorating the occasion.

As October 1, 2024 began, Ironmouse also shared her final subathon post. She also committed to sharing a new Halloween costume at the start of the month to celebrate the holiday.

Ironmouse first debuted as a Vtuber in August 2017, and she is one of the founding of the agency VShojo. In addition to ing charity, she’s also done the same for fellow performers. For example, in August 2024 she held a Vtuber Academy show.

VShojo Vtuber Zentreya announced on social media that she received a Twitch warning email for “Content Classification - Sexual Themes” on September 16, 2024. She clarified in the announcement that it seemed for “the equivalent of a one piece swimsuit for less than five minutes.”

Here’s the statement Zentreya made, which also included the screenshot of the Twitch email warning the Vtuber for sexual themes. The email and her didn’t didn’t cite a specific stream. However on September 15, 2024, she wore and showed off the 3D 2.0 Cyber Outfit, which has an option to remove the shorts and jacket and toggle to a swimsuit.

After that statement, Zentreya did clarify in a follow-up tweet that, “Now mind you this isn’t a ban, this is a warning, but if I show the swimsuit toggle for even a minute, I will most likely be banned.” She also went on to clarify that she owned and used that outfit for over two years and never got any sort of warning for using it. 

Zentreya isn’t the only VShojo Vtuber who has had issues with services, though Twitch wasn’t the issue with another performer with the company. Ironmouse used to have a YouTube VOD channel in addition to her Twitch one. That was deleted due to copyright strikes in September 2024.

Zentreya started out as an independent Vtuber back in 2017, before ing VShojo as one of its founding streaming on Twitch in 2020. Her most recent stream aired on September 16, 2024, and it involved her playing Fathom: Woodbury Getaway.
