Poncle announced its first Vampire Survivors crossover with a Square Enix game, as a free SaGa Emerald Beyond DLC pack called Emerald Diorama that is based on the JRPG is available on all platforms now. It appeared alongside a free The Coop update to the base game and two more Adventurers. All of this is available now on all consoles, PCs, and the standard Android and iOS versions. Apple Arcade isn’t getting the SaGa add-on. 

The SaGa Emerald Beyond Emerald Diorama DLC for Vampire Survivors includes characters, weapons, a stage, and mechanics based on the game. Over 12 characters ranging from heroes, ing cast , and bosses are available to play as. Some of the specifically referenced ones are Ameya Aisling, Bonnie Blair, Formina Franklyn, Diva No 5, Siugnas, and Tsunanori Mido. Over 16 weapons also appear, with the Fleuret, Hecaton Machine Gun, Hyperion Bazooka, and Pressure Point named. These will also feature the Glimmer mechanic from SaGa that lets you unlock new abilities or types of attacks by using them. SaGa characters can also use a Showstopper attack when health is low. The new stage also references the different worlds we traverse in the JRPG.

In addition to the Square Enix crossover, there are also original base game additions. If you update the title, The Coop and two new Adventures will appear. In the case of The Coop, you can go through a new stage, earn a new character, find a new weapon, acquire a new Relic, and get a new Darkana. You can also earn new achievements/trophies. With the Adventures, one is available to all and the other requires DLC first. “To End an Ice Age” can be accessed by everyone. We can only play “Tides of the Foscari” if we own the add-on of the same name, though.

Vampire Survivors is available for the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and its SaGa Emerald Beyond Emerald Diorama DLC is out now for free.

Poncle announced a second Vampire Survivors crossover with Konami, this time being the Ode to Castlevania DLC. It will debut on Halloween 2024, adding characters and the largest map so far. It will be on the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices for $3.99 on October 31, 2024.

As this is a Castlevania add-on with no vampires, it means other iconic characters from the series will be playable instead. Poncle confirmed over 20 will be available. It noted that many of them will be from the Belmont and Belnades families.

As a reminder, the Vampire Survivors Konami crossover prior to the Castlevania DLC involved Contra. Characters and stages from that game showed up in the Operation Guns add-on.

Poncle announced that the new, free Vampire Survivors Darkasso 1.11.1 update is live, alongside patch notes going over additions and bug fixes. It’s on all existing platforms now, and those who pick up the PS4 and PS5 versions will have access to the patch when those ports launch.

The Vampire Survivors update adds a new gameplay element called Darkanas, unlocked by a Darkasso Relic, as well as a new stage and skins. If you find the Darkasso relic, you can enable and select a Darkana during a run. These Darkanas can do things like alter your existing abilities or spawn more bosses. The new stage is one of the challenge ones. As for the two character skins, once unlocked they change what the characters start with when used.

Vampire Survivors, the roguelike time-survival bullet hell about surviving the undead and supernatural monsters, finally has a PS4 and PS5 release date. It will show up on both consoles on August 29, 2024, and a trailer highlighted what we can expect from the release.

The trailer showcases the game's shoot-em-up, monster-fighting action alongside touted features like "at least 13.5 hours of gameplay" and "500,000 texture mapped garlic balls." Every update released for other versions of the game, to date, will be available when it releases.

Originally released in 2021, Poncle, the game's development studio, announced in April 2024 that the game would be coming to Playstation consoles. In 2023, the game made its way to the Nintendo Switch as well, leaving the PS4 and PS5 as the only consoles without Vampire Survivors, until now.

In the time since its release, Poncle won a BAFTA award for Best Game, alongside a British Academy Games Award for Game Design in 2023 for Vampire Survivors. In addition, the game continues to be updated, with the newest content in the game being a collaboration with historic shoot-em-up series Contra in the Operation Guns expansion. That launched in May 2024. It, and all other DLC, will appear alongside the PlayStation versions.

Vampire Survivors is available now on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, and the PS4 and PS5 release date is August 29, 2024.

Vampire Survivors is coming to PlayStation, Poncle has confirmed, and a collaboration with Contra is on the way. The announcement was made as part of the Triple-i Initiative 2024 showcase.

The PlayStation release of Vampire Survivors has been a long time coming, with the game already enjoying success on PC, Switch and Xbox. No confirmed release date has been announced for the PlayStation version, but it is coming in summer 2024. It will be released for both PS4 and PS5.

In addition, a special collaboration with a Konami franchise is also on the way for Vampire Survivors. However, despite the obvious Castlevania influence, it's Contra that will be part of the collaboration. This will bring 10 playable characters from the franchise to the game, including classic heroes Bill Rizer and Lance Bean, as well as Ariana from the latest game, Operation Galuga. The DLC releases on May 9, 2024 for all existing platforms.

Vampire Survivors is out now for PC, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It will be released for PS4 and PS5 in summer 2024.

Poncle released both a free Vampire Survivors Space54 update for all players, as well as a new teaser trailer inspired by FFVII. The update adds a new stage, as well as characters and weapons.

As usual, the new characters are tied to the new weapons. Bat Robbert comes with Pako Battiliar, a weapon that can counter when health is lost. That character also has a health recovery mechanic whenever health gets below 20%. Space Dude is the other character, which comes with a Phas3r. The Phas3r fires a laser beam through a straight area damaging anything it touches. Meanwhile, Space Dude fires all weapons even if they are on cooldown at set intervals. The new stage is the space-themed Space54, while the relic lets you randomly level up items instead of picking.

Poncle announced that there will be a Vampire Survivors Among Us DLC pack called Emergency Meeting. It will debut on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on December 18, 2023 for $2.49/€2.49/£1.99, followed by a PC and mobile one.

As suggested by the name, all of the new content will be based on Among Us. This means there will be nine playable characters based on crewmates. Songs from the game will appear. So will 15 weapons inspired by the game and its kills. This also means the new characters and old ones can visit a Polus Replica-inspired map to uncover its secrets and face its enemies.

Here’s the full trailer for the Vampire Survivors Emergency Meeting DLC. It begins with an animated segment featuring some of the various playable characters we’ve already seen in the game. While facing a boss, they are teleported to another area. This is Polus, and the crewmates then appear before them. The animation then continues with a brief clip of gameplay footage suggesting some of the crewmate playable characters could be a ghost and an imposter.

While Vampire Survivors is getting an Among Us crossover, Among Us just got an update with other games. It now has an Indie Cosmicube for people to buy with Beans. If they do, equip it, and play the game, then they can earn cosmetics based on other titles like Celeste, Undertale, and Untitled Goose Game. Things based on seven other games will appear there.

Vampire Survivors is available for the Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. The Emergency Meeting DLC will bring various Among Us items to the Xbox and PC versions of the game on December 18, 2023, with the Switch and mobile ones arriving eventually as well.

Poncle announced that a Vampire Survivors Adventures Mode will be released soon, as the feature was revealed in a trailer on the studio's official YouTube channel. The story campaign will debut in the v1.8.0 Deeplorable Update.

At the time of writing, Poncle has not given a release date for the Deeplorable Update. However, on social media the Indie developer stated that the patch would be "coming soon in a few weeks." According to the trailer, the Vampire Survivors Adventures Mode is essentially a mini story campaign and will feature side quests and deep lore to flesh out the game's plot.

The Adventures Mode will be released with a handful of story chapters, with more sections being added in future updates. Interestingly, Poncle revealed that players can jump into the Vampire Survivors story mode fresh without "losing any unlocks" or characters. So it appears that even those who have entirely completed the game will be able to jump into the mode as a brand new story.

Although it doesn't seem like the update will add new maps, the Adventures Mode looks to give players a new experience by remixing previous levels into an actual story campaign. In the trailer, for example, we get a glimpse of Chapter 3 being titled "Legacy of the Moonspell," starring the character Miang.

The Vampire Survivors Adventures Mode has been announced and will launch with the Version 1.8 Deeplorable Update releasing in November 2023. The game is now available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.

Due to its hybrid nature, the Nintendo Switch is a fantastic console for games from multiple genres and of varying lengths. Don’t like a title one way? Play it when docked and use a better controller and bigger screen to see if it helps. Want to play on the go? There are games perfectly suited for the handheld life. Vampire Survivors is such that either docked or undocked on the Switch, it’s just great. It captures what we knew already worked on the Xbox platforms and PC, but also might lend a little more than other portable platforms like the Steam Deck or mobile devices.

For those unfamiliar with it, Vampire Survivors is a roguelike bullet hell game in which your avatar is the source of all bullets. Various opponents come at you in waves. As you level up or find Treasure Chests, you’ll get the opportunity to add more weapons and ive items to increase your damage output and survivability. While there are unlocks for doing things like lasting for X minutes, reaching Y level, getting an evolved form of a weapon, or finding relics. You play until enemies overwhelm your selected character. Then you see a score, get to invest gold into unlocks or upgrades, and go through it all again.

Like the Steam Deck version of Vampire Survivors, the Switch version succeeds and sures the mobile ports because of having actual analog sticks in your hand. This isn’t the most intensive game, to be clear, given the automatic firing of weapons and projectiles. But having a real controller for directing your character makes a big difference, and it’s far more comfortable to play on the Switch than the mobile version on my iPad.

I’d even say the Vampire Survivors Switch port could give the Steam Deck version a run for its money now that co-op is present. Tabletop mode isn’t always ideal for multiplayer games, and the sprites here can get rather small. (Especially if projectiles are involved.) But there’s something I found exceptionally fun about playing it solo, setting up my Switch in handheld mode, ing over a controller, and kicking off a co-op match. It’s convenient and, since this is such an easy game to play, perfect for any audience.

Naturally, it’s also a good fit because Vampire Survivors runs well on the Switch. I didn’t experience the same degree of lag in this version as I did in the mobile one, which is appreciated given how much the game can throw at you. There are still the same hordes I’d expect and see from the other releases. However, it doesn’t have the kind of endgame lag that eventually makes playing it on a phone impossible.

Essentially, Vampire Survivors is the same great game on the Switch as it is on PCs and the Xbox consoles. The difference is this time we have what feels like a more mobile and handheld version that runs better, yet still allows for on-the-go multiplayer. It's a fun way to play for a whole afternoon on its own, or between other Switch games.

Vampire Survivors was released on PC in October 2022 and has since been ported to Xbox consoles and mobile platforms. The game is about surviving waves of enemies with an automatically attacking character. Upgrades can be unlocked by leveling up or spending gold between runs, making it easier to survive with each run. Despite the title, none of the enemies in the game are vampires.

More game news continued to appear ahead of The Game Awards 2022. Vampire Survivors ports showed up for Android and Apple iOS devices. Vampire Survivors is a roguelike that tasks players with surviving against hordes of opponents. The mobile version allows someone to use ads to get double gold or be revived. The Google Play page also noted that it can be played offline.

This is the second recent case of ports appearing for the game. In November 2022, the game appeared on Xbox consoles. Someone with an Xbox One or Xbox Series X could play. It also ed Xbox Game that same day.

Vampire Survivors is available now for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, Android devices, and Apple iOS devices. The game is compatible with the Steam Deck. It is currently on sale on Steam for 20% off, dropping the price to $3.99. On December 15, 2022, $1.99 Legacy of the Moonspell DLC will appear and add new characters, a new stage, more weapons, and more songs for the soundtrack.

Some Vampire Survivors console ports are on the way, as it will debut on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X on November 10, 2022. In addition, people who subscribe to Xbox Game will be able to access the console versions that same day. (The PC version will not be a part of the subscription service.) It will cost $4.99, which is the same price as the original PC release.

In Vampire Survivors, players’ goal is to stay alive while hordes of enemies assault you. It features bullet-hell elements, as you need to do your best to deal with the onslaught of opponents. When you do fall in battle, you’ll be able to use gold you earned to get upgrades that will potentially improve your performance in your next run.

Vampire Survivors first showed up on PCs via itch.io in March 2021. A Steam Early Access debut followed in December 2021. Subsequent updates appeared throughout 2022, until it officially launched on PCs in October 2022. The Xbox version is the first console port so far.

Vampire Survivors is available for PCs now and will come to the Xbox One and Xbox Series X on November 10, 2022.
