Studio Orange finally shared an update on the Trigun Stargaze anime, the series that will follow the Trigun Stampede reboot, and it involves a tentative release window. We won’t see the new show until 2026. However, the studio and Crunchyroll already both confirmed that the show will be streaming on the service, just like its predecessor.

The announcement included a few other details. For example, there’s new key art from Kiyotaka Oshiyama. We also know Kazuyuki Fudeyasu will write its scripts, Kouji Tajima is the character designer, and Masako Sato will direct it.

While we were waiting for this latest anime news, a lot of merchandise appeared. Kotobukiya announced new figures based on this adaptation. In addition to one of Vash the Stampede, a Nicholas D. Wolfwood one is in the works. The last update on that from January 2025 involved Kotobukiya sharing an unpainted prototype. SuperGroupies also released a number of clothing items like wallets and coats based on characters from the series.

Trigun Stargaze will begin airing worldwide in 2026, with Crunchyroll handling streaming of the anime outside of Japan. Trigun Stampede is available now. Dark Horse Manga handled the manga.

A number of figure updates appeared at Kotobukiya Collection 2025, and that meant we got a chance to see how the Trigun Stampede Nicholas D Wolfwood figure is looking. As it’s still early in development, the scale figure only appeared in an unpainted prototype form. As is obvious from the design, it’s based on the newest anime series.

In this figure, the character is designed to look like he’s about to enter a fight. The priest’s eyes are covered by his sunglasses. his left hand holds a cigarette with smoke coming off of it. His Punisher gun, which is shaped like a cross, is on his right shoulder. 

Here are the two Trigun Stampede Nicholas D Wolfwood prototype figure photos Kotobukiya shared. In one of them, he appears alongside the finished Vash the Stampede figure. This is designed to give us a sense of scale, as well as show how the two would look if displayed together.

That Vash figure first came up at Kotobukiya Collection 2023. It showed up as an unpainted prototype at that event. It later launched in 2024.

There’s no release date yet for the Trigun Stampede Nicholas D Wolfwood  figure. Both Trigun and Trigun Stampede are streaming on Crunchyroll. Dark Horse handled the manga localizations.

The follow up to the Trigun Stampede anime won’t be a second cour, as Studio Orange revealed Trigun Stargaze at Anime Expo 2024. It will continue the story following the cliffhanger that appeared in “High Noon at July” in 2023. 

Here’s the teaser for the new anime. It only shows the logo for the next show.

To celebrate the announcement, Studio Orange released three pieces of Trigun official art of Vash, Wolfwood, and Knives. All three are High Noon at July images of the characters. Here’s how those designs look:

In addition to the new Trigun Stargaze anime art, Studio Orange also shared more insight into the series’ lore. At Anime Expo 2024, Takehiko Okishi and Yoshihisa Ueda shared insights into how Plants work in the series. Plants are what people on Gunsmoke use to survive and get energy. 

Ahead of that, people will be able to catch up on the series with physical copies. Crunchyroll announced it will begin selling the Blu-ray and DVD packaged version on September 10, 2024. Pre-orders are already open.

The Trigun Stampede anime will be on Blu-ray and DVD on September 10, 2024. It is streaming on Crunchyroll now, and the Trigun Stargaze anime will air there in 2025. The original anime based on the series is also streaming on the service. Dark Horse Comics handles the manga outside Japan.

Producer Yoshihiro Watanabe teased that the Orange Studio Unveiling showcase at Anime Expo 2024 may include updates on the Trigun Stampede and Beastars anime series. The event will take place at the Petree Hall room on July 4, 2024, and it begins at 11am PT for attendees.

The is set to showcase the studio's work as well as anime series Leviathan, which is based on the books by Scott Westerfeld. Watanabe, who is set to speak at the , stated that it would also include "follow up" on the featured series which could include new updates on the second season of Trigun Stampede and/or the third season of Beastars. Watanabe is set to be ed by fellow producers Kiyotaka Waki and Justin Leach.

Earlier in June 2024, it was announced that the Blu-ray and DVD releases of Trigun Stampede would arrive in September 2024. Beastars, meanwhile, was also present at last year's Netflix at Anime Expo 2023.

Updates on Trigun Stampede and Beastars are expected at the Orange Studio Unveiling event at Anime Expo Los Angeles on July 4, 2024. The Trigun Stampede and Beastars anime are available to watch on Crunchyroll and Netflix respectively.

Crunchyroll announced that its September 2024 anime Blu-ray and DVD releases includes Trigun Stampede. Both standard and limited editions of the show will be available on September 10, 2024. 

The standard version of Trigun Stampede, which only gives you the Blu-ray, is $52.49 at Crunchyroll. That nets you the 12 episodes of the show and some special features like commercials, textless openings and closings, a making-of video, promos, and interviews with Akihiko Orisaka, Kenji Muto, Kiyotaka Waki, and Yoshihiro Watanabe. 

If someone goes for the $67.49 limited edition, you get some physical bonus items. There are three art cards with images of Vash the Stampede, Nicholas D. Wolfwood, and Millions Knives. There’s a Project Seeds patch. You can get a set of two Jeneora Rock coasters. Plus, there’s a Bernardelli Times replica.

We may be hearing more about a second cour or season of the Trigun Stampede anime soon. Orange discussed it first back in March 2023. As part of its Anime Expo 2024 lineup, Crunchyroll announced a July 4, 2024 with the developer that will involve some announcements as well.

SuperGroupies announced a second line of Trigun Stampede apparel merchandise that includes a new Vash black coat, as well as other items inspired by Wolfwood and Knives. The collection is now available for pre-order from the SuperGroupies North American and Japanese storefronts.

Pre-orders will close on June 9, 2024, and the items are set to release in Japan on late September 2024 and the US in late November 2024. Here is the full list of Trigun Stampede items available as part of the the new line of SuperGroupies apparel:

Vash’s new black coat is inspired by its appearance at the end of the first cour of episodes of Trigun Stampede. The coat features a patch with the Project SEEDS logo on the front, and the inside pouch imitates the synchronization display between Vash and Knives adorned by geranium petals. Meanwhile, Wolfwood’s jacket is inspired by the priest’s own look. A neck label features his iconic Punisher weapon, and the inner pouch features a blue patch imitating the Skulls brand of tobacco he smokes in the anime. In addition, Wolfwood’s wallet also features the Punisher. As for Knives’ wallet, the outside features a knife inspired pattern, and the inside includes a cyan pouch, as well as a motif depicting him and Vash playing the piano as children.

The first line of Trigun Stampede SuperGroupies apparel appeared in mid-March 2023, and it included the new version of Vash’s iconic red coat, as well as other items inspired by Nicholas D. Wolfwood and Vash’s brother and antagonist Million Knives. Most recently, the two SuperGroupies Bloodborne watches received a re-release in the US and Japanese stores, and they are currently in stock.

The second Trigun Stampede SuperGroupies collection featuring new Vash, Wolfwood, and Knives merchandise is now available for pre-order, and will release around late September 2024 in Japan and late November 2024 in the US.

Super Groupies announced on social media that items from its Trigun Stampede collection returned, including the red Vash the Stampede coat. In particular, the Vash jacket, Nicholas D. Wolfwood backpack, and Wolfwood watch are all back in stock on the official site. Worldwide shipping is available via WorldShopping.

The company first announced this collection back in March 2023. In addition to the iconic red Vash coat from Trigun Stampede, it also included Wolfwood and Millions Knives items. While there was a jacket, bag, and watch inspired by Vash, there were only bags and watches based on Knives and Wolfwood. 

Here is a list of the three items that are now back at Super Groupies. In the case of the Vash Trigun coat, it is only available in sizes M-XL at the moment. The XXL version is sold out.

As for Trigun Stampede itself, we are still awaiting news on the second cour. A Final Phase was announced at AnimeJapan 2023. Studio Orange worked on the first part, which appeared on Crunchyroll and ended on a cliffhanger. 

However, we do have a date for the return of the manga. Dark Horse Comics confirmed it would be bringing back Trigun and Trigun Maximum for a reprint. Trigun Deluxe Edition will show up in December 2023.

New Trigun Stampede merchandise will appear as part of an online kuji (lottery) in Japan. The items in the lineup include cushions, t-shirts, pouches, acrylic stands, keychains, and pin badges. Tickets for the lottery cost 770 JPY each (or approximately $5 USD) and will be available for purchase from July 20, 2023. The tier S prize is a cushion with a manga vignette design. There are two versions that can be chosen. One is based on Vash the Stampede and another is based on Nicholas D. Wolfwood. Tier A includes three different T-shirts. The first two are white T-shirts with a Vash and a Wolfwood design, and the third one is a black T-shirt with Vash hanging upside down after falling on a trap.

Tier B offers two multipouches with similar vignette designs. One is red and features Vash, and the other one is blue and features Wolfwood. The tier C prize is a series of acrylic character stands for a variety of characters, including Vash, Wolfwood, Meryl, Knives, and Legato.

The tier D prize involves keychains. There are eight different ones, and they include the same characters as tier C, with the addition of Roberto De Niro, young Wolfwood, and young Livio. For tier E, the prize is a series of pin badges. There are 10 available, with one for every character previously mentioned, except Vash who gets two, and a new pin for Rem Saverem.

As a reminder, a final phase of the Trigun Stampede anime is currently in the making. It was announced back in March 2023, and there is currently no information on when it will appear.

Tickets for the Trigun Stampede online kuji entries cost 770 JPY each (~$5) and the lottery will start on July 20, 2023 in Japan.

Kotobukiya announced a new Trigun Stampede figure of Vash the stampede. The figure stands at 8.66 inches, which is about 22 cm tall. It costs $200/20,000円, and its expected release date is sometime between January and March 2024. Pre-orders for the new Trigun Stampede statue are now open outside of Japan from the Sideshow Toys online store.

The base of the figure resembles a patch of desert and dunes. It also allows for Vash’s sunglasses to be taken off. The statue includes a miniature representation of Jeneora Rock, one of the cities in the planet of Noman’s Land, as well as three moons standing behind Vash. When looked at from the front, the statue creates the illusion of distance between Vash and the city and the three moons.

As a reminder, Dark Horse Comics recently announced that the original Trigun and Trigun Maximum manga will return on December 2023 in a new hardcover deluxe edition.

Good Smile Company opened pre-orders for a figure of Vash from Trigun Stampede. Pre-orders are priced at 4,800 yen/$34.99 and are open until May 25, 2023. The figure is expected to release sometime in August 2023 in Japan and Q4 2023 in North America.

The Vash figure is part of the Pop Up Parade series, which includes figures that are “easy to collect with affordable prices and speedy releases.” It stands approximately 125mm (about 5 inches) tall and features Vash in an action pose. He has one knee on the ground and is looking behind him, his gun at the ready. All the while, his coat is fluttering behind him.

Trigun Stampede is a reboot of the 1990s Trigun anime. It features many of the original series’ characters, with some having been given new designs. The “Final Phase” of Trigun Stampede has been announced, though no release date has been given. Crunchyroll has both series available to stream in full and has confirmed that it will also stream the reboot’s Final Phase when it releases.

The Pop Up Parade figure of Trigun Stampede’s Vash is available for pre-order on Good Smile Company’s website. Pre-orders will close on May 25, 2023, and the figure will release in August 2023 in Japan and Q4 2023 in North America.

There will be more of the Trigun Stampede anime, as a Final Phase came up as part of the AnimeJapan 2023 news. This is also immediately following the twelfth and final episode of the season currently available. There's no release date for it yet, though Crunchyroll confirmed it will offer it. It also didn't clarify if this is a second cour or season 2. The announcement only noted that it is "coming soon." However, there is a brief teaser trailer that focuses on Vash the Stampede and Millions Knives.

First, here's the announcement. It features the familiar wanted poster showing that Vash's bounty is $$60 billion.

SuperGroupies announced a collection of Trigun Stampede merchandise featuring the characters Vash the Stampede, Millions Knives, and Nicholas D Wolfwood. In the case of Knives and Wolfwood, watches and bags are available. However, in the case of Vash, his iconic Trigun red coat will appear alongside a watch and bag.

The replica Trigun Stampede Vash the Stampede jacket is red with a Project SEEDS logo, a print of his transistor radio, and a hood. It will be available in sizes medium through XXL. It will cost $250.00. The watch inspired by him matches his coat color, features his gun, and has bullets at the 1, 3, 7, and 9 spots. The Project SEEDs logo and Trigun Stampede logo are also on it. It will cost $230. Finally, his bag matches his gun holster on the outside and coat on the inside. There’s also a metal plate with his gun on the side and his wanted poster on the inside. It will be $200.

The Knives items involve a bag and watch. The crossbody bag is $130. It is white with a Plant design, and features a metal plate of Vash, Knives, and Rem. There is a blue zipper and blue lining. The watch is $230. It again features the Plant designs set against white to resemble his outfit.

Finally, the Trigun Stampede Wolfwood watch is also $230. It features his Punisher cross gun and bullet holes. Each hour mark is also designed to look like a cigarette. Like the Vash backpack, the Wolfwood one is $200. It is all black, features a cross design on the inside, and has a marking that shows images his name, orphanage and cigarette.

We're right in the midst of the Winter 2023 anime series, and there are some fantastic shows to watch. Old ones keep running, like My Hero Academia and One Piece. New ones pop up. I was really looking forward to the Winter 2023 line-up, because it had so many good and interesting shows. First of all, before I reveal my favorite from the season, I would like to give a shout-out to Buddy Daddies, Trigun Stampede, and Play it Cool, Guys. They’re all really fun shows (please watch Play It Cool, Guys, oh my goodness) but the most fun I have is when I watch Blue Lock.

Yeah, it infuriates me at times, but I love everything from the animation to the music to the characters. They’re all really funny, and it’s such a fun and ridiculous premise that it’s super easy to binge. The pacing of the show is good, too, so it never feels like you’re watching a single game for weeks on end (like Haikyu or Kuroko’s Basketball). I highly recommend watching Blue Lock with a friend because I felt like I was about to explode when I watched it alone. -- Stephanie

I'm still in the process of clearing my Fall season backlog, but Trigun Stampede is my highlight of the season so far. For as much affection as I have for the original show, Orange's production feels like a genuinely fresh take on the character, filled with some of the best you could ask for when it comes to the polarizing subject of CG anime.

Buddy Daddies has also been a treat. Sure, it's basically Spy x Family, but I do the prospect of every demographic eventually getting their own version of Spy x Family. -- Josh

I mean, of course I also have to say, "Watch Trigun Stampede." It is stunning and so much fun. Especially now that Wolfwood is around. I keep meaning to watch A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized too. But I’m really enjoying The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague. I’ve been hoping for a fun shoujo/josei series to follow after only being so-so on I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss, and this fits the bill. The magical realism element is quite fun, especially with the way Himuro’s special abilities influence the world around him. It can sometimes feel like a slice-of-life series too. -- Jenni

One of the Kotobukiya Collection 2023 [Winter] announcements involved an unpainted prototype of a new take on an old character. The company is working on a scale figure of Vash the Stampede from Trigun Stampede. It will be a part of the ARTFX J line. As it is still early in development, there’s no release date yet.

Here’s Kotobukiya’s English tweet announcing the figure, which also showed the unpainted concept. It will be a 1/8th scale one. The official announcement page noted that they wanted it to look as though Vash is in the middle of a fight against enemies, with his gun also on display. Also, to note his desire to protect, the figure’s base makes it look like there’s a town in the background.

Ahead of the Trigun Stampede English dub debut, Crunchyroll confirmed Vash’s voice actor, and now it shared the full cast. Eight major were revealed in the announcement. It also noted 10 people who show up to provide additional voices in the English version of the first episode.

Here is the full Trigun Stampede cast of English voice actors for the dub so far. Johnny Yong Bosch is the only returning member from the 1998 series, as Knives and Meryl were recast.
