Kotobukiya opened pre-orders for its new figure featuring Elaine Auclair from Nihon Falcom's The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak. It will release the figure in September 2025 with a tax-inclusive MSRP of 22,000 yen (~$145.05).

The company will depict the Calvard bracer with her knight sword unsheathed. The figure will have an overall height of around 22 cm (~8.66 inches) with a scale of 1/8. The package will also include a circular base pedestal with a design that fits the character.

Kotobukiya will also offer an alternate head part that shows Elaine smiling as an exclusive bonus for orders made on its Kotobukiya Online Shop, although it can only deliver the products inside Japan. People residing outside the country can alternatively place orders on Amiami. But while the latter also offers a discounted price tag of 20,900 yen (~$137.80), it does not include the aforementioned bonus part.

Elaine will not be the only character from Trails Through Daybreak to have a figure, as Kotobukiya is also working on another figure modeled after Shizuna Rem Misurugi. The same company has also produced figures of characters from other Trails series entries, such as Estelle Bright, Tio Plato, and Crow Armbrust.

Kotobukiya is working on even more figures based on characters from Nihon Falcom's Trails series. The company published an unpainted prototype image of the figure based on Elaine Auclair from Trails through Daybreak. The Japanese blog post also included a brief interview with the company's CEO Toshihiro Kondo, who also wants to see characters and monsters from Falcom's earlier titles reproduced with more modern figure technology.

In addition, Kotobukiya revealed on its X that it is also working on another figure based on Shizuna Rem Misurugi. The company has also shared two images showing parts of the unpainted prototype, although it has yet to publish the full image.

Kotobukiya's article also re-introduced the 1/7 scale figure of Dana Iclucia from Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, which the company will release in April 2025. Pre-orders for this figure are still available until November 12, 2024.

The company has also since finished painting the prototype figure of Joshua Bright from Trails in the Sky SC and put it up for pre-orders at 25,080 yen (~$162.55). The pre-order window for Joshua's figure will close on December 3, 2024, and Kotobukiya will ship the finished figures in May 2025.

The Trails through Daybreak figures of Elaine Auclair and Shizuna Rem Misurugi are still under development, and it will take more time until they are available for pre-order.

Clouded Leopard Entertainment will make its first appearance at Taipei Game Show 2024. Its booth will feature demos of Japanese video games, such as Nihon Falcom's Ys X -Nordics- and D3 Publisher's Earth Defense Force 6. The company will also host a live event starring Nihon Falcom CEO Toshihiro Kondo at the venue.

Clouded Leopard revealed via its Japanese press release that Nihon Falcom titles will dominate its booth. It will feature photo spots and cosplayers modeled after Ys X -Nordics- and The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki—the latter is also known in the West as Trails through Daybreak. The booth will also include a shop selling merchandise related to Falcom's games.

Taipei Game Show 2024 will take place at the Nangang Exhibition Center on January 25-28, 2024. Clouded Leopard will run the special stage event starring Nihon Falcom's Toshihiro Kondo on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 2 PM local time (GMT+8) / 3 PM JST / 1 AM ET.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak is being localized in English for the Western market following its initial release in Japan. As a part of the Trails series, the story will follow the events of both Trails of Cold Steel 4 and Trails into Reverie.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak will be released on the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC outside Japan in Summer 2024. It is also available now in Japan as Kuro no Kiseki on the PS4, PS5, and PC.

The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki will appear outside Japan as Trails through Daybreak. NIS America and Nihon Falcom revealed it will bring the RPG to the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC. We already saw the game appear on the PS4, PS5, and PC in Japan. It follows the events of both Trails of Cold Steel 4 and Trails into Reverie. It will appear in Summer 2024.

In this newest The Legend of Heroes games, we’ll head to a whole new region. This time, we’ll follow ARKRIDE Solutions Office Spriggan Van Arkride. He’s basically is a mercenary of sorts who can fight or investigate issues in Calvard. The story begins when a young woman named Agnes heads to Van to get his help on a new “case.” 

This entry also features a morality system. As you play, you’ll be able to make decisions that shift the scales from lawful to neutral and chaotic. This determines the course of the story.

Nihon Falcom selected publisher NIS America as its partner for more than just English localization. NIS America (or NISA) has officially released The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki on PC edition in Japanese. The announcement went out through its PR channels and publicly via the official NIS America social media s. The game is available on Steam.

It should be emphasized that this is the Japanese-language edition of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki on PC. It does not have for any other language. Overall the situation is similar to that of NIS America's publishing of The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails on PC, where the Japanese edition will come out first, with the English localization patched in when it's ready.

The PC edition of Kuro no Kiseki was developed by NIS America and PH3, the studio founded by famed PC software modder Peter "Durante" Thoman. In a Steam blog, Thoman wrote about some of the features of the port. According to Thoman, PH3 employed a lot of newly established infrastructure to work on the project, including capacity for asset compression and platform handling. He also wrote the b part to explain why the game will appear to use a lot of a player's PC memory. Typically, PC s are trained to see high levels of memory usage in some games as a warning sign of a "memory leak". Memory leaks are bad because they mean that a game or program uses more system resources than it would need to. This inefficiency can lead to instability or poor performance. Thoman explained that Kuro no Kiseki on PC is by default set to use up to 80% of available system memory to speed up loading times. This automatic behavior is intended, though s who dislike it can toggle it off in the settings menu.

Other features include:

• Field of view customization (and automatic FOV scaling)

The Japanese PC edition of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki is available via Steam. The Japanese PS4 edition launched in September 2021. NIS America has not yet announced a release window for the English localization of the game.

A life-size statue of the Grendel from The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki will appear in Japan. Nihon Falcom is producing the statue to help promote Kuro no Kiseki II - Crimson Sin, the sequel to the JRPG. It will place the statue for the first time on the 6th floor of the Yodobashi Camera Multimedia Akiba store in Akihabara on June 21, 2022. Falcom is also planning to showcase the statue at more locations in Japan, although it has yet to finalize the schedule.

Falcom has also shared several close-up portraits of the Grendel statue, which is still undergoing supervision and finishing touches. The life-size statue will have a height of over 2 meters (~6' 6.75") upon its completion.

The Grendel debuted in the first Kuro no Kiseki entry. The title protagonist Van Arkride has the ability to transform into this superhero-like being. The transformation gives Van a massive boost for his combat abilities in the game's battle scenes. The sequel, Kuro no Kiseki II - Crimson Sin, will feature an antagonistic red Grendel known as the Grendel-Zolga.

The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki is available on PlayStation 4 in Japan and Asia. Nihon Falcom will release its sequel Kuro no Kiseki II - Crimson Sin for the PS4 and PS5 in Japan on September 29, 2022.

Nihon Falcom announced that The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki will release for PlayStation 5 in Japan on July 28, 2022. This version of the game will 4K resolution and 60fps, and will have several quality of life features. As mentioned previously, the PlayStation 5 release of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki will feature several quality of life updates. This includes the implementation of a high-speed function. This can be adjusted to change the speed of both battle systems individually. Additionally, players will be able to adjust the size of in-game text. The PlayStation 5 version of the game will also feature an archive and glossary.

Additionally, those who pre-order The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki for PlayStation 5 will receive a total of 33 pieces of DLC. The "Thank You Mega Box Plus" will include the Van and Agnes DLC costumes that were previously exclusive to the Asian release of the game.

Regarding the PC version of the game, it will not feature English or Japanese language . It will, however, have language for Traditional Chinese and Korean. Japanese audio will be available.

The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki is available for PlayStation 4 in Japan, with a PlayStation 5 release scheduled for July 28, 2022. A PC version will release on July 27, 2022.

Nihon Falcom will release The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki original soundtrack in Japan on March 9, 2022. The soundtrack will be available in both physical and digital formats.

The Kuro no Kiseki original soundtrack will consist of 85 tracks, with a total duration of over 210 minutes. The physical album will contain three CDs. The soundtrack will mostly feature tracks from the game, such as the title theme and "Mechanical Syndrome." However, it will also include a Less Vocal version of the theme song "Na mo naki Akumu no Hate" (The End of the Nameless Nightmare) as a bonus.

The physical album will be available for ¥3,740 (~$33). Nihon Falcom will also publish the soundtrack on digital subscription platforms like Spotify and YouTube Music. Alternatively, people will also be able to purchase the digital album on sites like iTunes Store. The digital release will have two versions with varying prices as follows:

• Regular edition - ¥152 (~$1.33) per individual track or ¥3,208 (~$28) for the full album
• High-Resolution edition - ¥254 (~$2.22) individually or ¥3,462 (~$30) for the full album

The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki is immediately available on PlayStation 4 in Japan. Clouded Leopard Entertainment will release the Traditional Chinese and Korean localizations in East Asia on February 10, 2022. Nihon Falcom has released a free prologue version of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki in Japan. Anyone with a Japanese PSN can immediately this free trial and play the title's first ten hours. The company also simultaneously released an update patch for the full release of Kuro no Kiseki, adding an option for a variable frame rate that can go up to 60fps.

The free version contains stories from the Prologue and Chapter 1. It also lets players try out the battle systems, including the Grendel transformation. However, the trial version does not DLC. Players can immediately carry over their save data from the trial to the full game.

Meanwhile, the version 1.10 update patch brings in some quality-of-life improvements other than the variable frame rate option. Nihon Falcom has previously stated that it will not add more new gameplay content with update patches, as it immediately focuses on developing the next Trails title.

Kondo also revealed that Kuro no Kiseki will not have a major title update. The previous entry, Hajimari no Kiseki, received the post-release Beyond the Reverie update in October 2020. The development team will instead move directly towards the next title in the Trails series.

Nihon Falcom will release a free DLC set for The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki for a limited time. Titled "40th Anniversary Great Gratitude Special BOX," it will let players obtain numerous DLC items for free within a month after the game's release.

The main highlights of this limited set will be the 4spg United alternate colors for four of the game's main characters — Van Arkride, Agnès Claudel, Feri Al-Fayed, and Aaron Wei. It will also have special Xipha covers designed to celebrate Falcom's 40th anniversary.

The above DLC items will be exclusively available in the time-limited set, and Nihon Falcom has no plans to sell them in the near future. The set will, however, include more items marked as "temporarily free." These items will be available as paid DLC after the exclusive set is delisted.

The additional DLC will let you attach accessories to all party in Kuro no Kiseki. They range from sun visors branded with Calvard's vehicle marques to animal ears and tails. Van and Agnès will also receive swimsuit costumes with additional options to toggle their outer clothing.

The set will also come with more customization features for the Xipha Orbment devices. Besides more Xipha cover designs, it will also include a DLC where you can have a Hollow Core AI voiced by Renne Bright.

The recurring character from the Trails series will also appear in Kuro no Kiseki. Now 17 years old, Renne Bright is studying in her second year at Aramis High School. Despite being a transfer student from Liberl's Jenis Royal Academy, her ability to understand situations and solve problems made her appointed as the student council president at Aramis.

Renne is also well-acquainted with Agnès Claudel, the title heroine who is a year younger than her. Their dorm rooms are located next to each other so that they can also interact frequently.

Renne moved from Liberl to Calvard in Spring 1208. However, it seems like she has another reason to enter Calvard other than studying at the prestigious Aramis High School.

The popular Trails series character Rixia Mao will appear in the new title taking place in her homeland. However, she will mask her face and assume her professional assassin codename, Yin.

She once again cooperates with Cao Lee's Heiyue syndicate in Kuro no Kiseki. But her true objective is to make sure her hometown receives minimal damage from the confrontation between Heiyue and Almata.

Gerard is the current boss of the mafia organization Almata. A few years ago, he purged the previous leader Enrique and then installed himself as the new boss. He believes that everything can be controlled with fear. Like-minded strong people gather under him, making Almata so menacing that the police, Bracer Guild, and even other organizations like Heiyue grow wary of it.

Tomokazu Seki will become the voice actor for this 34 year old character.

Aged 47 years old, Harwood is one of the Ouroboros , currently positioned as the fourth pillar apostle. Before ing Ouroboros, he used to work in another assassin group. Fellow Ouroboros member Lucrezia Isselee also came from the same group.

Takaya Kuroda will provide Japanese voices for Harwood, who is said to have a mysterious power that can even corrode demons in the purgatory.

Nihon Falcom revealed a new gameplay system in The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki, featuring the protagonist Van Arkride's transformation into the superhero-like Grendel. Van is able to transform with the help of Mare, the special AI installed inside his Xipha device, after ing a certain point in the storyline.

The Grendel transformation will make Van even stronger in Kuro no Kiseki battles. He will be able to act twice in the same turn. Stacking S-Boosts will also allow him to attack multiple times in succession.

Many of his attacks will inflict debuffs on enemies. Even his most basic Quick Blow can reduce an enemy's physical defense. Another attack of his, the Heavy Spike, will reduce the target's magical attack. The player can use the Grendel's double-actions to instantly weaken the enemies.

Despite having transformed into Grendel, Van can still fight with other party . They can still and buff each other while facing strong enemies.

Kuro no Kiseki will feature eight main characters in the player's party. The RPG will also feature many sub-characters, ranging from new debutants like Elaine Auclair to those returning from prior Trails titles, such as Fie Claussell and Cao Lee.

Nihon Falcom has revealed three new characters who will appear in the title, The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki: Cao Lee, Kurogane, and Grimcats the Phantom Thief. Although their appearances in Kuro no Kiseki are new information, most of these characters have appeared in previous Trails titles. Cao Lee, the White Orchid Dragon, is a branch manager of the Heiyue Syndicate and a skilled martial artist. He is highly intelligent and seems to prioritize profits, but actually places a heavy emphasis on human relationships. He debuted in Trails from Zero and his voice actor is Daisuke Hirakawa. Hirakawa previously played Kakyoin in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

Kurogane first appeared in Trails into Reverie. He works for Shizuna. Nihon Falcom first showed off Shizuna, the vice leader of shinobi mercenary group Ikaruga, in July. His body and martial arts are superhuman, and his Hazy Moon hidden-weapon techniques are on par with the Enforcers of Ouroboros. He is voiced by Shuta Morishima, who previously voiced Marius from Falcom’s Ys IX -Monstrum NOX-.

Lastly, Grimcats the Phantom Thief is an actual new character to the series. Her voice actress and age are a secret. Outside of her activities as a Phantom Thief in Calvard for the past few years, there is practically no information on her. Like a typical Phantom Thief, Grimcats steals from the rotten and the rich, which makes her popular with the population.
