Bandai Spirits has revealed its showcase lineup for the All Japan Model & Hobby Show 2024. The company will show various model kits ranging from RG (Real Grade) Gunpla to the 30 Minutes series.

The main highlights of the lineup will be the two RG Gunpla kits of the Shining Gundam—Domon Kasshu's starting Mobile Fighter in G Gundam—and the Sword Impulse Gundam Spec II from Gundam SEED Freedom. Bandai Spirits will also release more HG (High Grade) Gunpla kits based on Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance exclusively via Bandai.

The company's showcase will not only consist of Gundam model kits. It will also show HG kits of the Scopedog Turbo Custom from Votoms and the Ashsaviour from Super Robot Wars: Original Generations. In addition, it will include a Figure-rise Standard Amplified kit of Obelisk the Tormentor from Yu-Gi-Oh and a 30 Minutes Sisters kit of Fuyuko Mayuzumi, one of the idols appearing in The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors.

The new B-Komachi idols from Oshi no Ko will appear again in The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors in a new crossover. Bandai Namco revealed in a new live stream that it will launch a collaboration event for a limited time throughout August 2024.

The company had added the Hololive Vtuber Hoshimachi Suisei crossover to The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls - Starlight Stage in March 2024. However, the collaboration between Shiny Colors and Oshi no Ko had run even earlier in July 2023. This will be the second time the company will feature the external franchise in the browser game.

The first event in 2023 featured Ruby, Kana, and MEMcho as produce-able idols. A revival gacha banner that launches on August 3, 2024, will give players another chance to obtain these characters.

Bandai Namco will also add more new character cards in the following weeks. The new B-Komachi idols will have new gacha cards that feature different costumes. It will also add a new card featuring a younger Ruby with Ai looking after her. In addition, there will be a new crossover scenario that will reward a card starring Akane upon completing its missions.

The company has also ed a new commercial trailer that shows MEMcho giving a quick rundown of the new crossover content:

As a reminder, this crossover content will not be available in Song For Prism, the mobile and PC app game featuring 3D character models. Bandai Namco will only stage the collaboration in the original Shiny Colors game which has Live2D characters on its own Enza platform. Players can directly access the game from mobile and PC browsers without having to install a dedicated app, although the latter is also available to .

The new Oshi no Ko crossover content will be available in the Enza browser game The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors for a limited time from August 3 until 30, 2024.

The Idolmaster Shiny Colors roster of performers continues to expand. With the game's third anniversary, another name was added to the list: SHHis. SHHis (pronounced like "She's")  is the latest idol unit added to the playable cast and is the seventh playable idol unit in the game. It's also the first duo unit in Shiny Colors. The new Idolmaster Shiny Colors duo unit is described with the key words "Shining, Sequins, and Chandeliers" and is designed as a spicy, feminine pair focused on dance-pop music. It consists of two girls: Nichika Nanakusa and Mikoto Aketa.

Nichika is the younger sister of Hazuki Nanakusa, The Idolmaster Shiny Colors assistant character. Nichika is described as "everyone's little sister" and has a willful personality, with a talent for getting people to treat her nicely. She ires idols and is highly competitive, refusing any kind of compromise. Meanwhile, Mikoto is focused on her dream of becoming an idol that can move people, be it through song, dance, or performance. She's so focused, in fact, that sometimes she forgets to eat and sleep.

SHHis has have special "Commu" scenes in the ongoing PicNic Basket event rerun to help players get to know them. New songs from the two will debut in the game's Idolmaster Shiny Colors L@YERED WING series of album CDs. Their disc, L@YERED WING 08, will go on sale on November 10, 2021.

The Idolmaster Shiny Colors is immediately available on Android devices, iOS devices, and browsers in Japan. No English localization has been announced as of yet. The next console-based game in the franchise, The Idolmaster: Starlit Season, was delayed to a late 2021 release.

Bandai Namco has launched a temporary fun training app in collaboration with Astellas Pharma in Japan. Pac-Man Squat Challenge is available to play on mobile device browsers for up to 4 weeks after the launch today, on January 26, 2021. This project also collaborates with Bandai Namco's other IPs, such as The Idolmaster. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

Although this may sound similar to Nintendo's Jump Rope Challenge, the only device needed to play Pac-Man Squat Challenge is a mobile device with the latest version of Chrome/Safari browser and an OS version of at least Android 6.0 or iOS 10.

To participate, you will need to open the game app on a compatible mobile device, choose the team you want to and then squat while physically holding the device within the allotted time. The browser app will then add your score to the team tally, which lasts until the weekly quiz period ends.

For the first week's topic, which lasts until February 2, 2021, the project collaborates with of Hokago Climax Girls from The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors. In a quiz that asks which squatting situation defines adolescence better, participants can choose whether to agree with Chiyoko and Juri in squatting in the middle of an athletic club activity or Kaho, Rinze, and Natsuha in squatting during their free idol practice sessions.

Pac-Man Squat Challenge is available to play on Android and iOS mobile browsers until February 23, 2021.

According to a tweet posted via the official Bandai Namco Entertainment Southeast Asia Twitter , fans of Idolmaster will be able to tune into the “Songs of Tokyo Festival 2020,” to view a live-streamed performance featuring Idolmaster characters.

The Songs of Tokyo festival is an annual event presented by the broadcaster, NHK World-Japan, to showcase music from Japan. It seems a suitable venue to air performances of songs from a series all about pop idols achieving extraordinary success through their music.

This year will feature performances from across five different Idolmaster brands, with a total of fifteen characters taking to the stage. The characters being represented are from The Idolmaster, The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, The Idolmaster Million Live!, The Idolmaster SideM, and The Idolmaster Shiny Colors. This will be the first time all these characters have come together to perform.

Idolmaster’s presence in The Songs of Tokyo festival might come as a relief for fans of the franchise who have been dealing with recent delays as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The title, The Idolmaster: Starlit Season was officially moved back from a 2020 release window to a 2021 release window just earlier this month.

People interested in viewing the performance can tune into the Songs of Tokyo festival via the NHK World-Japan app for Android and iPhone. The full broadcast schedule for the invent, including the full lineup, can be found on the Songs of Tokyo webpage.
