Season 2 of the supernatural comedy and mystery anime series Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun will air in January 2025 in Japan. Furthermore, a four-episode-long sequel to the spin-off series After-School Hanako-kun will premiere on October 7, 2024.

Animation studio Lerche will return to produce both series. In addition to the announcement of the anime releases, teaser trailers for both the second season of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun and the sequel to After-School Hanako-kun also appeared.

The first season of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun has 12 episodes and it originally released between January 10 and March 27, 2020. There is no information on how many episodes the new season will have. Production for both Hanako-kun anime series was announced back in November 2023, with an estimated release date of Fall 2024 for the After-School Hanako-kun sequel.

Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2 will release in Japan on January 2025. The first season is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Funimation, and the original After School Hanako-kun anime is also available on Crunchyroll. Yen Press handles the release of the manga in North America.

TBS Animation shared a new trailer for The Quintessential Quintuplets movie. Additionally, merchandise that can be purchased alongside the theater release of the film was revealed. TBS Animation has also made the theme song of the The Quintessential Quintuplets movie, “Quintuple Paths," available to listen to through streaming services like Spotify. However, access to the song will be limited by region.

As mentioned previously, there will be items available to purchase alongside the release of the film. These includes Sanrio crossover products, like acrylic standees, mugs, washi tape, flake stickers, badges, and 5 different clear cards. The clear cards will be distributed at random.

However, consumers will also be able to purchase special theater pamphlets. Two versions are available. A luxury version of the pamphlet will be available and cost 3,000 yen ($23), whereas a standard version is available for 1,200 yen ($10). The standard pamphlet will be 44 pages, while the luxury version will be 80 pages. They will include interviews with of the staff and creator Negi Haruba.

Capcom Cafe is collaborating with the anime series The Quintessential Quintuplets. The collaboration will start on May 20, 2022, the same day as the release of the movie. The Quintessential Quintuplets follows Futaro Uesugi, a high school student hired to tutor the quintuplet Nakano sisters. At the beginning of the story, it's revealed that Uesugi will eventually marry one of the five sisters. The series originally began serialization in 2017 and ended in 2020. It later received an anime adaptation in 2019, with the second season airing in 2021. Initially planned as the anime's third season, the feature film will follow the events of the anime series.

Participating Capcom Cafe stores include the Ikebukuro cafe and Aeon Laketown cafe locations. The announcement website features a key visual of all five Nakano sisters. Additionally, the collaboration website provides a link to reserve a seat at both locations. As with other Capcom Cafe collaborations, it will feature special collaboration menu items as well as merchandise.

This isn't the first time Capcom and The Quintessential Quintuplets have collaborated. Back in February 2022, the Ikebukuro cafe hosted a collaboration featuring the five sisters in maid outfits. Other past collaborations include series such as Sengoku Basara and Evangelion.

The Quintessential Quintuplets Capcom Cafe collaboration will run from May 20 to July 8, 2022. Reservations for the Ikebukuro and Aeon Laketown locations are currently open. The Quintessential Quintuplets movie will also debut on May 20, 2022.

The conclusion of The Quintessential Quintuplets is coming in feature film form, and TBS Animation shared a second "wedding" trailer for the movie ahead of its May 20, 2022 release date. The trailer comes as part of the Anime Japan 2022 event, an industry affair promoting new series and productions. It features new footage and voice acting from the final release.

The trailer begins by teasing images of the Nakano sisters in wedding dresses, before moving to a montage of the girls interacting with Futaro. Playing in the background is a the theme song for the Quintessential Quintuplets film, "Quintuple Paths." The song is performed by Ayana Taketatsu, Ayane Sakura, Inori Minase, Kana Hanazawa, and Miku Ito, who play the Nakano quintuplets.

Based on creator Negi Haruba's original manga, The Quintessential Quintuplets film closes out the story of Futaro Uesugi and the Nakano sisters. Futaro is hired to tutor the quintuplets, who happen to be his classmates. They're also infamous for their troublemaking and poor grades, making the first hurdle in his tutoring gig just gaining their trust. Similar to live-action series like How I Met Your Mother, The Quintessential Quintuplets reveals early on the Futaro marries one of the sisters, but hides the wedding and just whom he tied the knot with. The film will show this, though the manga story concluded in back in 2020. The film was originally planned as a third season of the anime (its first two seasons aired in 2019 and 2021). TBS Animation announced the decision to move from series to feature film in April 2021.

The Quintessential Quintuplets feature film will debut in Japan on May 20, 2022. The anime series streamed on Crunchyroll in North America and Europe. A second game adaptation from Mages, The Quintessential Quintuplets: The Five Memories Spent With You, goes on sale in Japan for PS4 and Switch on June 2, 2022.

TBS Animation unveiled the third key visual for the  The Quintessential Quintuplets movie. The new image features all five sisters huddled together, surrounded by cherry blossoms. Additionally, TBS Animation will host a special stage for the movie as part of the Anime Japan 2022 event on March 27, 2022. The movie itself will debut in Japanese theaters on May 20, 2022. Following the second season, the movie will serve as a conclusion to the anime series as a whole. The series follows Futaro Uesugi, a high school student who works as a private tutor for five identical quintuplets. The beginning of the story reveals that Uesugi will marry one of the five sisters, but does not reveal who it will be. The movie will follow the characters as they prepare for graduation in their third year of high school and, ultimately, reveal who Uesugi will end up marrying.

Fitting for graduation season, the five sisters appear surrounded by cherry blossoms in the new key visual. The previous key visual showcased the sisters enjoying a summer vacation in swimsuits. Before that, the five sisters also appeared in bridal attire.

Back in October 2021, a tentative "early summer 2022" window was offered for the The Quintessential Quintuplets movie release date. Now, it's been pinned down. On May 20, 2022, the film will open in Japan. There's also a new trailer for it. It hints at some of the events people will see, while also showing off how all five sisters will look in the movie.

First, here's the new The Quintessential Quintuplets movie trailer. It first shows all five of the Nakano sisters as children. Then, we get better looks at each of them as they are now. First, we see Itsuki. Then, Yotsuba appears. After that is Nino. Ichika shows up after that. Finally, Miku appears.

The official website also shared a new key visual for the film. It features a picture of each of the sisters. Each one is set at night.

As a reminder, this movie is appearing in place of a new season of the show. Back in April 2021, we learned it would act as season 3 of The Quintessential Quintuplets.

The Quintessential Quintuplets movie release date for Japan is May 20, 2022. There's no word regarding a worldwide debut yet. People can watch the first and second seasons of the anime on both Crunchyroll and Funimation. Kodansha's US branch handles the English localization of the manga.
