Bandai Namco announced its new Tamagotchi Paradise model, and the virtual pet will debut in Japan on July 12, 2025. It will appear worldwide as well, though the English site says the release date will vary. The device will be a part of a World Tamagotchi Tour that includes appearances at MCM London between May 23-25, 2025, followed by additional appearances at events like San Diego Comic Con, Japan Expo in Paris, Tokyo Toy Show, and CCXP Mexico. The US branch of Amazon doesn’t have listings for it live yet, but Amazon Japan shows the Blue Water, Pink Land, and Purple Sky variants already.

Early comics and reports noted the unique points this time would involve a view of a whole planet, a crank that lets you zoom in on characters in places, and the ability to shape evolution based on where the creature grows up in addition to what they eat. The other details confirmed there are 12 species types and over 50 characters total divided into them. Breeding remains a gameplay element, which affects how characters look when grown up as they take traits from both parents, and the new devices can connect to each other by taking the lid off the top to try and get different pets to marry and produce a new egg.

Bandai Namco also mentioned the Tamagotchi Paradise virtual pet will interact with Lab Tamas at stores and use Tama Lab Stickers. The stickers include Tama Cell details. The Lab Tamas let people connect a device for items or just play minigames.

Here’s how the devices and Japanese packaging look:

As for the World Tamagotchi Tour, that will involve opportunities to test out and see devices. Bandai Namco also mentioned it will sell new virtual pets and collectibles at these events, like the Original Tamagotchi Mametchi Robot variant, but availability will depend on launch dates and other factors. For the new model, there will be an exclusive Tama Lab eight-digit lab code and sticker for Mongatchi.

The Tamagotchi Paradise will debut in Japan on July 12, 2025, and the new virtual pet will appear worldwide in 2025 as well.

Peanuts Tamagotchi Nano Makes Snoopy Into Your Pet Dog

Bandai Namco announced another Tamagotchi Nano model based on an existing series, and this time it is a Peanuts one that lets people raise Charlie Brown’s pet dog Snoopy. It will debut in Japan on July 12, 2025. There’s no US release date for it. It will cost 4,400円 (~$30).

When people get this version of the Tamagotchi, they are getting both the unit on a keychain and a case to protect it. In this instance, that accessory is shaped like Snoopy’s red doghouse, which the virtual pet can be placed inside. The keychain portion will go through a hole in the roof.

As for characters, initial photos and information note that this Tamagotchi Nano will let you raise the famous dog when playing with the virtual pet, with Woodstock the bird also appearing. (It also mentioned Harriet, another bird that comes up during Beagle Scouts.) Since this model is more limited, there will only be three minigames and it doesn’t feature a colored screen. It will, however, feature other Peanuts characters like Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Schroder during event segments and certain scenes. This is common, as we saw similar interactions in the Star Wars and Spy x Family models.

Here are the first photos and images Bandai Namco shared for the Peanuts Snoopy Tamagotchi Nano, which highlight the dog and ways we can care for the virtual pet. No Snoopy evolutions were shown yet, so we don’t know if Joe Cool or the Flying Ace will appear as options depending on how well we care for the character.

Bandai Namco will release the Peanuts Snoopy Tamagotchi Nano in Japan on July 12, 2025.

Free Tamagotchi Paradise Comic Hints at New Characters and Model

During Free Comic Book Day 2025, Bandai Namco shared a Tamagotchi Paradise Episode 0 comic that teased new characters and a new model. The new system will resemble the existing one, however it will have a crank on the upper right side that allows someone to zoom in to look at characters. As for the newcomers, six were confirmed so far. Part of the comic can be viewed online now, with the next part coming on May 16, 2025.

The new system shows up on the front cover of the comic, as do the new characters. The focus of the new model shown in Tamagotchi Paradise 0 is on new Tamagotchi Planet itself. Turning the crank on it will let someone zoom in and see the characters living in a certain area. The comic focuses on a new baby that hatched and is being watched by someone zooming in on the device. We then see the progression of three possible outcomes for the character. It seems care and biome affects development, since one in the water could grow fins, one on land eating meat could get legs, and one in the sky eating chicken grows wings.

The ensuing pages showed the new Tamagotchi characters. Those three babies followed earlier into the comic turn into the Land Roar Soecies Meowtchi, the Water Glide Species Irukatchi, and the Sky Flap Species Horhotchi. Bandai Namco also used the comic to break down some other characters who will appear in those biomes. The two additional land-types are returning characters Mametchi and Mimitchi, which are both Land Toddle Species. Irukatchi is ed by two new characters called Axolopatchi and Kawazutchi, which are both Water Leap Species. The other two sky types shown are the new Mongatchi Sky Flap Species, which looks like a flying squirrel, and the returning Kuchipatchi as a Sky Chirp Species.
Here are some photos of the comic. One shows additional new characters, but those aren’t named yet.

There’s no word yet on when we’ll see the new Tamagotchi model showcased in the Free Comic Book Day 2025 comic. The last variant was the Tamagotchi Uni.

Darth Vader Tamagotchi packaging

Bandai Namco opened pre-orders for a new Star Wars Tamagotchi Nano featuring Darth Vader, which comes with a silicone case shaped like the Sith Lord's iconic helmet and lets people raise the character from the series with the virtual pet. Pre-orders are currently available from Amazon at $29.99, with the release date listed as March 11, 2025.

With a black design patterned after Vader's suit controls, the actual Star Wars Tamagotchi nano virtual pet can be inserted or removed from the helmet case as desired and also comes with two LR44 batteries included. The game itself features five minigames, 12 recreations of scenes from the movies, and 10 different versions of Vader that can appear as you play. Owners will also be able to feed their Vader Tamagotchi and meet other Star Wars characters. However, as this is only a Tamagotchi nano model, there is no interactivity with others. So it can not connect to the other Star Wars Tamagotchi produced by Bandai Namco like Grogu and R2D2.

You can get a look at the Darth Vader Tamagotchi Nano via the gallery below:

Earlier in January 2025, Bandai announced three unique original designs available from Lawson stores in Japan. Meanwhile, back in December 2024, Disney Japan began releasing anime shorts on Instagram featuring Grogu from The Mandalorian.

Pre-orders for the Darth Vader Tamagotchi Nano are available via Amazon with a release date of March 11, 2025.

Tamagotchi Chogokin Robot transformable action figure

Bandai Spirits opened global pre-orders for a new Chogokin Tamagotchi Robo action figure. This crossover robot action figure will also come with an Original Tamagotchi that is also actually playable. The price for this set will be 9,900 yen (~$64.85).

The owner will be able to attach or detach the Tamagotchi from the die-cast robot figure. In addition, they can also configure the robot to have it transform into a UFO. The figure's UFO mode will also have wheels set up to let the owner move it on the floor.

But while Chogokin (Super Alloy) figures are known for using die-cast metal, that will only apply to the robot figure. The actual Tamagotchi in the set will only come with a gold plating to emulate the alloy metal feel.

Bandai Spirits has also ed a new trailer featuring the crossover action figure on its YouTube channel:

This product will specifically appear to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Chogokin die-cast figures, which appeared first in 1974. While Tamagotchi also had a 20th anniversary celebration in 2024, that was intended for the Tamagotchi Connection lineup that Bandai launched in 2004. The original Tamagotchi launched in late 1996, so it will have its 30th anniversary in 2026.

The Chogokin Tamagotchi Robo action figure set will be available worldwide in May 2025.

Tamagotchi Angel will return worldwide

Bandai revealed that it will re-release the Tamagotchi Angel worldwide at the 2024 New York Comic Con, starting in North America in December 1, 2024. Amazon product pages already opened for Dreamy Angel and Lovely Angel designs. It will come to Japan in early 2025. People will once again be able to raise an evolvable angel in this digital toy.

The company has also released successor models like Tamagotchi Uni Angel Festival, but this one will bring back the original Tamagotchi Angel model. The new release will be available worldwide, but the Japanese webpage has the most information.

Even though the product had also appeared in Japan as Tenshicchi no Tamagotchi, Bandai will base the new releases on the yellow-colored Original Tamagotchi Lovely Angel and the blue Dreamy Angel that originally came out in Europe and the Americas. That is also the official English name for the two designs.

The Japanese page also shows more details on the toy screens. It shows the list of available menu icons that range from feeding and taking care of the angel to playing a Jumping Star minigame. It also has an almost complete evolution tree. However, the angel can and will leave the player if they do not take good care of it.

The product will cost 3,080 yen (~$20.55) when it launches in Japan. Bandai will hold early sales for the product in the Tamagotchi 28th Birthday event at Oshi Base Harajuku in Tokyo, Japan, on November 2-28, 2024. However, it will only allow each buyer to get one of the two models.

Original Tamagotchi Lovely Angel and Dreamy Angel will be available worldwide, with the Japanese formal release date set for January 25, 2025. Bandai will open public pre-orders for the product in Japan on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

Tamagotchi Uni Angel Festival Reminds Me of the Tamagotchi Angel virtual pet

Back when I was a kid, I loved the original Tamagotchi virtual pets. Like so much so, I’d either sneak one with me when I went to school or have my mom care for mine while I was at class. But one of my absolute favorites was the Tamagotchi Angel model! I loved being able to “save” it from danger by tapping the screen, and I felt better about it possibly dying since, well, the character was already dead. (I was a sensitive kid!) While the Tamagotchi Uni Angel Festival doesn’t include the same mechanics, I appreciate how this new unit and location pays tribute to that original model in certain ways.

The big “way” it calls back is by adding heavenly elements to the Tamagotchi characters and worlds. With the original Tamagotchi Angel, there were basically about 15 angelic characters that appeared depending on how well you cared for the pet. Here, we have six unique pets that take a familiar Tamagotchi, like Kuchipachi, Mametchi, Violetchi, or Yumemitchi, and they get ethereal elements like wings or other designs.

Like the Sanrio Characters variant, these different evolutions are tied to the items acquired at the Angel Festival location. So whether you buy a whole new unit or just pick up the $6 Tamaverse Ticket, getting something like a Mame-el or Yumemittie character is as easy as feeding a boy baby lots of Bell Brioche or girl one Ribbon Bread.

The cosmetic changes are the most obvious fun “nod” to the original Tamagotchi Angel, but the Tamagotchi Uni Angel Festival location proper is what really made me appreciate this release. That’s because it really is pulling in those elements I ed from the original model. They’re all back as callbacks! One of the major characters you could unlock in that first game was the Chestnut Angel. It appears as an accessory for your pet to wear, lives in the town square, and is the character you control in the Angel Festival location minigame.

Many of the other angels you could raise in that older virtual pet show up when you visit different Tamaverse spots too. At a glance, I ed seeing the former Japan-exclusive Cactus Angel, the Ginjirotchi one I used to often get when I first started playing, and even the Oyajitchi Angel. It honestly made heading to the Square more entertaining than usual, as it got me feeling all nostalgic.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnhVPaqNrrQ

The only downside is, I haven’t seen some of my favorite original Tamagotchi Angel represented. I being able to unlock the Shogun Angel and Twin Angels in the past, and I didn’t catch any reference to either one of them here. It would have been great to see those also make cameo appearances in the Square location. Or, in the case of the Ascension Hat that has two small angels with a ing resemblance to the Takotchi one, instead have the Twin Angels there.

I just appreciate the effort Bandai put into ensuring the Tamagotchi Uni Angel Festival Tamaverse and elements go above and beyond. It taps into the series’ history in a fun way. Meanwhile, the new aesthetic for familiar icons really suits them well. It really honors the old virtual pet in a fun way.

The Tamagotchi Uni Angel Festival model is available now.

Usada Pekora Tamagotchi

Bandai will release a new batch of Human Rabbitality Project: Pekoratchi, the Usada Pekora Tamagotchi. The company started accepting applications for purchasing the Vtuber Tamagotchi on the Japanese Bandai website. Unlike the first batch, Bandai will employ a lottery system to determine which people get to buy the item. [Thanks, Inside Games!]

Bandai originally revealed the special Tamagotchi in July 2023 with a release window in December 2023. The company opened the first pre-order batch on a first-come-first-served basis on July 17, 2023. However, it instantly sold out in just a day, and not even fellow Hololive Vtuber Hakui Koyori could manage to place an order for the product. The company opted to use a lottery sales system for the new batch so that more people have an opportunity to get the items.

As a refresher, Pekoratchi is a unique Tamagotchi themed after Usada Pekora. Bandai alters some of the gameplay elements to suit the Vtuber. For example, she can eat almonds and drink cow milk when the player feeds her. Pekora can also change her attire based on the player's manner of raising her. The virtual toy is available in two colors: Usada White and Usada Blue, and each of them will also come with a chibi plushie of the Vtuber.

Bandai will close applications for the lottery sales of Human Rabbitality Project: Pekoratchi on August 2, 2024. The company will announce the winners at a later date in August 2024.

Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Nano Gives Characters Brushes With Fame

As part of the Hello Kitty anniversary celebrations, Bandai Namco refreshed the Tamagotchi Nano model that debuted in 2020. The concept is still the same and it is still $19.99 as usual, though there’s a new apple minigame and different forms of characters to collect. But one thing remains: I am desperately seeking Hello Kitty’s approval.

As this is a Tamagotchi Nano, the general pet raising process remains streamlined. You go straight from the baby form to an adult, depending on the level of care. You can’t actually check stats to see how happy or unhappy, as well as how full or hungry, the character is. You need to listen for alerts to see if they are sulking or left some poop. However, as is common for these crossover models, it brings in a character from another series into the spotlight. While some involve directly raising those people or animals, this involves standard Tamagotchi characters and Hello Kitty making cameo appearances.

The baby form even looks like a little apple!

Basically, it ends up like Hello Kitty is perhaps helping you raise the Tamagotchi with this Tamagotchi Nano variant. You’re feeding it Hello Kitty’s favorite foods, which are apple pie and milk. How do you think you got that? Hm? When you play minigames like the one with the piano, she’s playing for or with you. If you take poor care of it, Hello Kitty mourns its ing.

She’s a very involved virtual friend, clearly.

At the same time, I also felt like I was trying to earn the approval of Hello Kitty as I raised characters in the Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Nano. She will work with her mouse friend Joey to help clean up poop on-screen. In the apple catching minigame, we’re basically collecting the fruit for her. If we do a good job, she’s happy. A bad job? She’s sad. The additional evolution for the adult forms involves Hello Kitty basically giving the character a bow. Even the “good” ending of a run with a character involves them going off with Hello Kitty. Like she thought we did such a good job raising the character, she deems them worthy of traveling together.

I honestly felt like as I was playing with the Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Nano, I was attempting to please Hello Kitty and make her proud. It isn’t like the Chopper one, where I’m playing with a friend, or the Anya one that left me left me wanting to play dress-up. I definitely felt like I needed to achieve and earn that Hello Kitty bow. Maybe it resulted in a little more pressure on my part, but it was still quite fun.

The Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Nano will release on July 9, 2024

Tamagotchi Uni Angel Festival and Monster Carnival Announced

Bandai Namco announced new Tamagotchi Uni Angel Festival and Monster Carnival devices will launch worldwide for $59.99 each on July 13, 2024. The Amazon product pages for each one are already live, while the Tamaverse Ticket Shop will eventually sell tickets for the new DL areas for existing Uni owners.

Like all Tamagotchi Uni variants, these two both come with a plastic holder that allows someone to wear them like a smart watch. Each of them will have six unique characters available. So in the Angel Festival variant, Flowerdite, Mametchiel, Pegasupatchi, Sebirecupit, Unimarcorn, and Yumemitie will appear. Monster Carnival includes Akiramenatchi, Gobupyon, Mamegon, Meduupa, Onimarutchi, and Slimy patch. Each one also has an exclusive minigame, items, accessories, furniture, and rooms. People who buy the tickets for the DL areas will also get access to those areas, characters, and items while their DL area is set to that location.

Here are the first photos of the new devices Bandai Namco shared with us:

There are also two infographics that show the six new characters appearing in each device.

Ahead of these two Uni models, another one will arrive. Bandai Namco already confirmed the Tamagotchi Uni Sanrio Characters variant is on the way in July 2024.

Spy x Family Tamagotchi Makes Dres Anya a Delight 4ql6f https://siliconera.voiranime.info/spy-x-family-tamagotchi-makes-dressing-up-anya-a-delight/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=spy-x-family-tamagotchi-makes-dressing-up-anya-a-delight https://siliconera.voiranime.info/spy-x-family-tamagotchi-makes-dressing-up-anya-a-delight/#respond <![CDATA[Jenni Lada]]> Sun, 26 May 2024 13:00:00 +0000 <![CDATA[Anime]]> <![CDATA[Featured]]> <![CDATA[Bandai Namco]]> <![CDATA[Europe]]> <![CDATA[Japan]]> <![CDATA[North America]]> <![CDATA[Playtests]]> <![CDATA[Spy x Family]]> <![CDATA[Tamagotchi]]> https://siliconera.voiranime.info/?p=1030656 <![CDATA[

Spy x Family Tamagotchi Makes Dres Anya a Delight

When it comes to the anime-inspired Tamagotchi Nano models, the goal tends to be about maintaining and improving a specific character’s condition instead of grand evolutions. In the case of the Spy x Family Tamagotchi Nano, it’s about caring for Anya Forger. It’s as entertaining as you’d expect. However, I also find it makes me want some means of regularly dres Anya and ensuring she has the cutest wardrobe ever.

Once you start the Spy x Family Tamagotchi Nano, you immediately start caring for Anya. As this is one of the more stripped-back variants, it isn’t as taxing as other models. You don’t need to constantly check stats. Just pop in every once in a while to feed Anya. Play games with her, of which there are three, or give her sweets to boost her happiness. The main thing to watch for here is that Henry Henderson will sometimes appear, usually accompanied by a sound. You then need to press the A button as soon as possible to make Anya elegantly impress him.

The fun part of this, aside from getting to care from Anya in general, is unlocking outfits. Instead of her evolving or changing form based on how well you are doing or hitting certain milestones, her clothing will change. So if you feed her until she’s full frequently, play and give her treats to ensure she’s happy, and don’t let Henderson catch you off guard, she’ll tend to change her outfit at least once. Twice, if your care is especially good and you’re attentive.

It really made me wish that, well, I could see more outfits and make her even cuter. The level of detail for her standard sprite and clothing options is surprisingly high, given this is only a Tamagotchi Nano. Likewise, when other characters like Loid, Yor, and Damien show up, they all look great too. So it’s really a great motivator to see how certain actions, such as playing a lot of the dodgeball minigame, result in Anya deciding to wear her gym clothes all the time.

The only downside is that the Spy x Family Tamagotchi doesn’t always make it incredibly clear (or easy) to discern what some of its Missions games want to ensure I get to build up Anya’s wardrobe. The easiest is a dodgeball-themed one, which involves using A and B to move her out of the way of balls. Though honestly, I would sometimes forget A is down and B is up. The minigame with Bond involves mashing the A button and is quite easy, but since there’s no explanation that Anya and Bond are on the run, you can fail continually unless you look it up. The S-P-Y slot machine isn’t too difficult, provided you pay attention to the reels to spell S-P-Y. However, I found the fact that you need to do so perfectly to net certain clothing options a tad frustrating.

I suppose the plus side is that my dress-up dream inspired by the Spy x Family Tamagotchi Nano is about to come true, thanks to Spy x Anya. The adventure game, which is already available in Japan, involves helping the young girl create a photo diary for a school assignment. You do things with the Forger family, play minigames, and… play dress-up. So, I suppose this is essentially helping me ease the wait for the other activity involving Anya.

The Spy x Family Tamagotchi Nano is this novelty that leverages the fact that Anya Forger is adorable. It relies on the fact that we think she’s cute to start, and want to care for her to see how much cuter she can get in her extra outfits. The fact that I’ve only seen five in addition to her base ones and not unlocked either of the “special” ones just makes it (and the promise of Spy x Anya’s costumes) more promising.

The Spy x Family Tamagotchi Nano model is available worldwide. Anyatchi Pink and Spy Green case variants are available
