jujutsu kaisen phantom parade

Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade will no longer come out in Spring 2023. According to an official tweet, the development team has had to push back the date. It will still come out in 2023. However, it is now unclear when people can expect to see it. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]

Sumzap says the delay is to improve the overall quality of the game. It will update the new release window on its Twitter and its official website when the development team has a better estimate. As well, it apologizes for how it cannot deliver the game in Spring 2023 as it had promised before. This is the second delay for Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade. The game was originally supposed to come out in 2022, but then Sumzap had to delay it until Spring 2023. The reason back then was also to improve the quality of the game.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade will be a turn-based RPG based on the popular Jujutsu Kaisen anime and manga. For those who have not seen it yet, it is available for streaming on services such as Netflix and Crunchyroll. It will mostly stick to the canon story, though there are characters who are exclusive to the game. So far, we have seen Saki Rindo, Kaito Yuki, and Kensuke Nagino. Promotional materials for the game often show off the special moves that you will be able to use, such as Yuji’s Black Flash.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade will come out in Japan some time within 2023 for mobile devices.

jujutsu kaisen phantom parade

The release of Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade, the mobile game based on Jujutsu Kaisen, will be delayed until Spring 2023. Its original Japanese release date was supposed to fall time within 2022. However, Sumzap updated people by discussing some of the content it is working on, including sharing as a second trailer. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

According to Sumzap’s official Twitter , the reason behind the delay is to improve the overall quality of the game. Sumzap reassured potential players that the development is going smoothly. In the second trailer, you can see a bit more of what the gameplay is like. More specifically, it focused on the special moves of the characters, as well as how key scenes from the anime will look in the mobile game.

You can check out the second trailer here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZY32jnvpHQA

In the video, we can see characters like Fushiguro, Panda, and Inumaki using their signature cursed techniques. At the end, there is also a combination move between Yuji and Todo.

As a reminder, Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade will mostly follow the plot of the show and manga, but it will likely have its own story as well. So far, we know of three original characters will be in the game.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a manga and anime series that was wildly popular when the anime originally aired in 2020. The manga is one of the best-selling manga series of all time, with over 70 million copies as of August 2022. The movie based on the prequel, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, made over 5.8 billion yen during its theatrical run.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade will come out for mobile devices in Japan in Spring 2023.

D_Cide Traumerei

BanG Dream and Love Live publisher Bushiroad is teaming up with social game companies Sumzap and Drecom to launch D_Cide Traumerei, a new multimedia project with a "Cthulhu Mythos" theme and atmosphere. The project will take the form of an anime series and an accompanying mobile game, with both set to launch in Japan in Summer 2021.

The announcement came during a special livestream event aired on March 16, 2021, which also debuted a trailer for the would-be franchise:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuuuE8i10bs

Usually, invoking the Cthulhu mythos tends to call up images of gothic castles or period horror fiction. However, the trailer is more in line with a pop-infused, urban fantasy atmosphere. D_Cide Traumerei takes place in an alternate world populated by strange and unspeakable ancient entities. Though ancient and seemingly unknowable, the beings have the power to "bleed" into normal reality, altering it and granting power to people who are brave, scared, or foolish enough to seek a pact with them.

D_Cide Traumerei takes part of its name from "Träumerei" (German for "dreaming"), the seventh movement of composer Robert Schumann's "Kinderszenen." According to the official website, it's set on the fictional island of Yura, where the weird often intersects with the real. Ordinary teen Rando Furukata is pulled into the other side of reality by getting involved in a horrific and unnatural murder. From there, he's chosen as a "Knocker Up," a combination of dream investigator and ghostbuster who travels between the weird world of dreams and reality to confront the nightmares populating the other side. The game will combine adventure-style storytelling with relationship-based progression where players will deepen their bonds with their friends and the island's residents to solve mysteries. Some of those mysteries will involve combat, and players will control their parties in a JRPG-style turn-based battle system.

More was revealed about the anime, titled D_Cide Traumerei The Animation. Rather than Yura island, the anime series is based in Shibuya, Tokyo and stars Ryuhei, a high-schooler with a talent for kickboxing. Ryuhei is one day bitten by a strange creature, Tris, and the encounter causes his perception of reality to shift for the weirder. The series will be produced by studio Sanzigen, which made shows like the BanG Dream anime, the anime continuation of 2020's Sakura Wars, and a series based on Hatsune Miku spin-off character Black Rock Shooter.

D_Cide Traumerei and its anime series companion are set to debut in Japan in Summer 2021. The game will be available on mobile devices, and pre-registration is open now. No international release plans were detailed. BanG Dream, another Bushiroad mobile game, is making the leap to Nintendo Switch in 2021.
