Kotobukiya announced it will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Bishoujo figure line with a new exhibition that will include merchandise inspired by Juri from Street Fighter and Hsien-Ko from Darkstalkers. They are two of multiple characters who will be featured at the event, which starts on May 27, 2025.

The exhibition aims to celebrate the work of artist Shunya Yamashita, who is responsible for the designs behind the Kotobukiya Bishoujo series. It will be held between May 27, 2025 and June 1, 2025 at the Namba Marui store in Osaka, Japan. The merchandise available at the exhibition focuses on the Street Fighter and Darkstalker series, with Cammy, Chun-Li, and Juri being predominantly featured for the former, and Felicia, Morrigan, Lilith, and Hsien-Ko for the latter.

Edition88 will produce some of the aforementioned Shunya Yamashita prints, which will also include illustrations from SNK characters and Tekken characters that are now available from the Edition88 online store. The previously announced Street Fighter Ichiban Kuji merchandise lottery is now available in Japan, and Bandai Spirits revealed that the last prize is a figure of Chun-Li in her pink recolor doing her Street Fighter 2 victory pose. Each entry in the lottery costs 880 yen (~$5.90.)

Artist Akiman has illustrated Street Fighter 2's Ryu for the pharmacy prescription notebook for the Momochihama Dispensing Pharmacy in Fukuoka, Japan. This artwork, officially licensed by Capcom, was announced alongside an illustration of Chun-Li, which was also created for this series of the pharmacy's medicine notebooks. Akiman shared updates for both illustrations on his personal social media .

 Akiman's design of Chun-Li from Street Fighter 2 was the first installment in this collaboration, and it received positive from fans and customers alike. The additional illustration of Ryu, one of the main characters from the Street Fighter series, adds a dynamic touch to the pharmacy's prescription book, making it more engaging for patients.

Additionally, Collectibles Studio has announced that Ryu will be the next character in its Street Fighter Powerlifting figure line, ing previous 1/4 scale (12 inch) figures of Cammy and Chun-Li. This release features standard and evil variants of Ryu, with three different versions available, each representing various appearances from the game. 

Street Fighter 6 is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Collectibles Studio announced the third character in its Street Fighter Powerlifting figure line involves standard and evil versions of Ryu. As with Cammy and Chun-Li, there are three different variants and each one is of a different rarity. Pre-orders open on August 15, 2024, though some stores like Big Bad Toy Store are already taking pre-orders for $749.99 each.

Each one is based on different variants and game appearances. All of them are 1/4 scale figures that stand at 21 inches tall. The standard Battle Silver Ex Ryu is based on his Street Fighter 6 look. As such, he’s wearing white shorts, has a red bandana on, is unshaven, the weights he’s lifting are black, and there’s a matching white gym bag at his feet. Only 150 of those will be made, and it is the most exclusive of the three options.

The Classic is a larger release at 250 units. It based on his original appearances in the series. this means he is clean-shaven, has a red bandana, shorts, gloves, weights, and a black gym bag.

Finally, there will be 250 Evil Ryu variants made. That's based on the Street Fighter IV appearance, since both his hair and eyes are red. His hairstyle is different, his gloves are yellow, his trunks are red and blue, his weights are blue, and his gym bag is blue.

There’s no official release window for these figures yet. The Big Bad Toy Store listings suggest all of them will appear in Q2 2025. To compare, the Cammy version arrives in Q4 2024, and the Chun-Li one is expected to ship between August and October 2024.

The Street Fighter Cammy Powerlifting figure is in development, with pre-orders open direct via Collectibles Studio on August 15, 2024. The most recent game in the series is Street Fighter 6, and it is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Capcom and FREEing announced the release of a new Street Fighter figure of Chun-Li in a bunny girl outfit that is almost 19 inches tall. The figure costs 38,500 yen (or approximately $265.03,) it is now available for pre-order via the Union Creative online store and will release in Japan on March 2025.

The new Chun-Li figure is 1:4 scale or roughly 19 inches (480mm) tall. It depicts the beloved Street Fighter character performing a high kick while wearing a bunny girl outfit with golden accents similar to her classic outfit. The Interpol agent is also wearing a pair of matching bunny ears, fishnet tights, and a pair of high heels.

Back in September 2023, Collectibles Studio announced the release of a realistic 1:1 scale bust of Chun-Li that costs $4,000. Additionally, Good Smile Company recently revealed a new version of the Pop Up Parade figure of Chun-Li in an alternate pink costume.

Capcom and Sushiro formally revealed the Street Fighter collaboration campaigns that will take place in the latter's sushi restaurants. The tie-up will run at Sushiro's Japanese outlets from late July 2024 and throughout August 2024.

This collaboration will consist of two separate campaigns based on Street Fighter II and Street Fighter 6. The former will have people order Avocado Red Spice sushi with Salmon or Longfin Tuna that will come with a random Street Fighter II character pick. The back side of this pick will have a QR code that people can scan to play a Street Fighter II-themed minigame on their smartphones.

The other campaign will involve the Setouchi Lemon Brulee Cheesecake. Those who order this cake will receive a random sticker featuring Street Fighter 6 characters. The back side of this sticker will contain a serial code that people can input to enter a sweepstake. The latter will reward a set of three sushi plates decorated with Street Fighter 6 versions of Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li to 150 lucky winners.

Street Fighter is not the only game franchise by Capcom to have a collaboration campaign with Sushiro. The Japanese sushi restaurant chain had previously held a Monster Hunter campaign in March-April 2024. It also held a tie-up with HoYoverse's Genshin Impact earlier in February-March 2024.

The Street Fighter collaboration campaign in Sushiro outlets across Japan will run from July 24, 2024, until September 1, 2024. The event in each outlet may end earlier if it has run out of bonus item stock.

Ahead of Smile Fest 2024 Tokyo and Osaka, Good Smile Company revealed a limited edition Chun-Li Pop Up Parade Street Fighter figure of her in a pink costume. She will cost ￥5,000 (~$32) at the event and when sold online.

This Chun-Li Pop Up Parade figure should look familiar, as the Street Fighter heroine ed the line back in 2022 alongside Cammy. This 2024 figure is based on that exact collectible. The only difference is her dress is pink instead of blue. Her hair accessories, wrist bands, tights, and shoes are all the same color. This will be a limited edition release. However, Good Smile Company didn’t clarify how “limited” it will be.

While this figure isn’t available yet, Good Smile Company already shared final photos of it with us. 

To compare it to the original, here are the two versions of Chun-Li side-by-side.

This will mark the third version of the fighter in the Pop Up Parade line. One based on her Street Fighter 6 appearance ended up being announced at the end of 2023.

The Street Fighter Chun-Li Pink Pop Up Parade figure variant will be sold at Smile Fest 2024 Tokyo, with online sales appearing alongside that. Good Smile Company will hold Smile Fest 2024 Tokyo on June 22-23, 2024, followed by the Osaka event on August 3-4, 2024.

Capcom has revealed a new apparel brand named And Chips (&CHIPS). The company will release apparel based on its game franchises with this new brand. Capcom has opened the brand's official website, which is also available in English.

The brand will consist of multiple collections. The first one to come out will be the 83 Collection, which has a focus on Capcom's retro games.

The lineup will include a Mega Man-branded T-shirt with Western-style artwork inspired by the first game and a Rockman-branded shirt that features the original key art of Mega Man 4. A Street Fighter II T-shirt will complete the initial lineup.

Capcom has also been working with other companies like Amazon to release apparel for its games. However, this new brand will allow the company to work with individual designers. The 83 Collection director ROKU will produce his own designs for the following 06 Collection, while NIKO24 will separately work on the 24 Collection.

The first wave of And Chips apparel from Capcom, which features Street Fighter II and Mega Man T-shirts, will appear on July 13, 2024. The shirts will be available at physical Capcom stores in Tokyo and Osaka. The English website indicates that people outside Japan will be able to place orders on the Online Parco web store, which s international shipping via Buyee.

The Street Fighter Powerlifting figure series, which involves heroines in workout costumes lifting weights, is getting Cammy variants. Collectibles Studio is taking pre-orders for three variants, which will cost $598.50 each.

The three different versions of Cammy are all based on her appearances from past Street Fighter games. So there’s the Classic Silver Ex one based on her default red and black outfit, an Alpha Ex design inspired by Street Fighter Alpha, and a SF6 Ex option that draws from Street Fighter 6. In addition to her outfit and its color scheme changing, her hairstyle can change from one version to another. All three feature a gym bag behind her, with some having a hat on top of it. Cosmetic differences aside, each one will be a 1/4 scale figure that stands at 16.5 inches tall and 21.5 inches wide. Each one will also come with a matching print of the Edwin Huang concept art that inspired it.

This is the second Collectibles Studio’s Street Fighter Powerlifting figure, as the first one to be announced was Chun-Li. Like Cammy, she will be available in three different varieties. At WonHobby 38, Good Smile Company showed off Street Fighter Chun-Li and Jamie figures. Both of them showed up as unpainted prototypes, suggesting it could be a while before they actually appear for sale. 

The Jamie figure is the latest in the Street Fighter 6 Pop Up Parade line. That collection also includes standard Chun-Li and Juri models and Luke and Kimberly ones that only showed up in a collector’s edition. He’s wearing his standard costume and is in a pose that features him possibly walking toward the viewer. As with all Pop Up Parade figures, it will probably only be 17-18 centimeters tall.

Here’s how that one is starting to shape up.

As for the other Street Fighter Chun-Li one, it is going to be a standard scale figure. No particular entry is specified on its announcement page. She is wearing her standard costume and is in a calm pose designed to look like she is on standby waiting for a fight. 

We can see how that might look in the first example picture below:

Street Fighter 6 is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, as well as in arcades. There’s no release window yet for either the Jamie or Chun-Li figures.

Capcom released a new mobile app that lets people explore Kashihara City in Japan's Nara Prefecture with a Street Fighter theme. The Street Fighter x Kashihara Sightseeing Tour app is now available on the Japanese Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

This app features landmark spots in the city, and a navigation map that creates routes to those spots will also play theme songs from the fighting game series. It also has an AR camera where s can spawn Street Fighter characters unleashing their signature moves. A Gallery mode that gradually unlocks character artworks by clearing given quests completes the app.

Kashihara City holds a special connection with Capcom because the company's founder Kenzo Tsujimoto was born there. The Street Fighter collaboration began in earnest in late August 2022, when Capcom signed an agreement with the city to help promote the latter's tourism.

The city then started launching multiple events and building permanent monuments throughout 2023. The first monument is a bronze statue of Ryu, which was unveiled in May 2023 and is located in front of the Kashihara City Tourism Exchange Center. The city's government also held successful crowdfunding to produce utility holes featuring Street Fighter characters and add a Chun-Li bronze statue, both of which are scheduled for completion in February 2024. The city even has plans to add more bronze statues modeled after Edmond Honda and Ken.

Street Fighter x Kashihara Sightseeing Tour is available on Android and iOS mobile devices. The app features content from the fighting game series, of which its latest entry is Street Fighter 6, available immediately on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, PC, and arcades.

Collectibles Studio announced three versions of a Street Fighter Chun-Li powerlifting figure, each priced at $589.50 following a 10% pre-order discount. They all are expected to ship sometime between August and October 2024.

Each of the three Chun-Li figures is a limited edition item and is based on one of the costumes the character wears in Street Fighter games. Each one is 1/4 scale and stands at 14.25 inches tall and 22.25 inches long.  The Classic Ex and Alpha Ex variants are both limited to 250 units each, while only 150 of the Battle Ex version will be released. Each one will also include a print with art based on the figure’s pose. 

For each figure, Chun-Li is wearing a slightly different outfit and has different hairstyles. The Classic version has white buns with fabrick over them, while those buns are braids with yellow ribbons for the Alpha version. Her hair is long with two braids for the Battle Ex one. The Battle Ex version is also the only one in which she’s wearing shorts instead of pants. All three have her lifting 360lbs, with a drink bottle on the floor in front of her.

NHK has revealed its line-up of games that its TV show Game Genome will cover in season 2. It’ll start airing its episode on Final Fantasy XIV on January 10, 2024. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

There will be ten episodes in total. The list of games that Game Genome will cover is:

Each episode will end with information on the next episode’s release date and guests. While we have the concrete release dates for the first four episodes, it’s a little unclear what the order will be for the last six games on the list. As a note, 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of Earthbound, and Hobonichi and Nintendo have promised many campaigns and events to celebrate it. So they might give some information about the anniversary during the Earthbound episode.

Artist Yoshitaka Amano, who has contributed artwork for the Final Fantasy series over the years, has drawn an illustration for the show. The art represents the many genres of video games, and a genome surrounds the goddess in the middle of the picture. The piece will appear on the set as decoration, and a CG-animated version of it will appear in the opening.

Game Genome started airing in October 2022 on NHK. It offers a deep analysis of famous or beloved games, with the game’s developers appearing on the show to explain what makes their game deep or special. The first season covered games like Dark Souls, Death Stranding, and Life is Strange.

Game Genome season 2 will start airing on NHK on January 10, 2024.

Uniqlo announced the release of new t-shirts inspired by Street Fighter and Tekken as part of the Fighting Game Legends UT collection. The new collection will go on sale in Japan on February 26, 2024. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The new collection will include 3 t-shirts for for each game series. Each t-shirt costs 1,500 yen (or about $10.) There is no word on if the new collection will appear outside of Japan, but Uniqlo usually releases similar collections overseas.

The first Street Fighter Uniqlo t-shirt is a dark gray tee with the franchise logo on the back featuring art of Ryu inside the letters, and Ryu doing a Shoryuken on the front. The second one is a white t-shirt with the Street Fighter 2 logo on the front, and hand drawn development art of the game on the back. The third t-shirt is a navy blue tee with the Street Fighter 6 logo and main character Luke.

As for the Tekken Uniqlo t-shirts, the first one features the original Tekken logo with Kazuya Mishima on it, and various characters from the first entry on the back. The second tee has the Tekken 2 logo alongside character King on the front. The third t-shirt features the Tekken 8 logo on the front, and every Tekken game logo on the back.

The Uniqlo Street Fighter and Tekken t-shirt collection will go on sale on February 26, 2024. Street Fighter 6 is immediately available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The SF6 Arcade Version appeared in Japan on December 14, 2023. Tekken 8 will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on January 26, 2024. A demo is now available on PS5, and will appear for Xbox Series X and PC on December 21, 2023.

Bandai Spirits opened pre-orders for its SH Figuarts figure of Guile from the Street Fighter series. This action figure will depict Guile with his classic Street Fighter II outfit, which is also available to select in Street Fighter 6 as Outfit 2.

The action figure will stand at around 16 cm (~6.3 inches) tall. The package will come with swappable alternate parts for Guile's hands and facial expressions. It will also include a Sonic Boom effect set that lets the owner reproduce one of Guile's signature moves.

The SH Figuarts action figure of Guile will be available at 8,800 yen / $80. The Japanese Tamashii Web site also hinted that the figure will be available for sale in the U.S. via Amazon. While the figure is also available on Amiami, pre-orders on the site had closed in just a few hours after the opening.

Guile will be the third character in Bandai Spirits' current lineup of Street Fighter S.H.Figuarts figures. Previously in September 2023, the company revealed action figures of Ryu and Chun-Li in their iconic classic outfits. The latter two will be available earlier in February 2024.

The SH Figuarts action figure of Guile from the Street Fighter series will be available in May 2024.
