Synergenex Toys Will Tie Zoids and Transformers With Many IPs 2a6af

Takara Tomy has revealed a new toy brand named Synergenex. The new brand, which will be under T-Spark, will have a focus on crossover items. The company will use this brand to release new collaborations between Zoids, Transformers, and Diaclone—the three mecha IPs Takara Tomy owns in Japan—and many other franchises.

The first item revealed is a transformable figure of the Shield-D-Prime that will also act as an in-house three-way crossover between Zoids, Transformers, and Diaclone. However, this product will be available in 2025.

Takara Tomy also revealed other crossover toys in the same brand that will appear earlier. The Spider Zoids Spider-Man Special toy will be available first in red and black color sets in September 2024. It will also release the Transformers-Godzilla crossover toys Optimus Prime Type MFS-3 Kiryu and Megatron Type Godzilla in November 2024.

At the same time, the company published teasers for more toys in the brand. It will release new Transformers crossover toys with Macross 7 and Monster Hunter. And while there are already Zoids crossover products with Patlabor and Monster Hunter, Takara Tomy will also release new items from this brand, as it focuses on pre-assembled action figures instead of model kits.

Fortnite Miles Morales and Spiderman 2099 Across the Spiderverse Skins Shown 6f4o26

Epic Games revealed two new Fortnite skins related to Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse. As part of its crossover, Miles Morales and Miguel O’Hara (aka Spider-Man 2099) will appear. These new skins a series of appearances available based on the iconic web-slinger. In addition, there will be an in-game event commemorating the movie’s release.

The teaser shows Miles jumping out of a building, with Miguel shortly appearing after him. It seems he's apparently pursuing him. This follows the Across the Spiderverse movie storyline, where Miles seems to be escaping from all the other heroes from different realities. More information about these in-game skins will be revealed at a later date.

It’s worth noting that Fortnite is currently running the Web Battles event, during which where players fight in teams on behalf of Miles or Miguel. Depending on which team earns the most points, players will receive either Miguel’s glare emoticon or Miles’ shocked emoticon. When we to the game, we can also claim the Spidey 2099 logo spray. Players also get a Spider-Ham’s mallet pickaxe if their team reaches 40 points at the end of the event.

Previously Fortnite released many skins based on Spider-Man characters including the MCU version, the Green Goblin, and even Spider-Gwen. In general, crossovers are common. For example, skins based on anime series often appear. One was of Eren Yaeger from Attack on Titan.

Fortnite is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, and mobile devices. The Web Battles event is ongoing until May 22, 2023. Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse will release in theaters worldwide on June 1, 2023.

Addressing Spider 38u71 Man Game Quality Concerns

"Our Spider-Man games have sucked for the last five years," Activision CEO Bobby Kotick itted to Game Informer in a recent issue of the magazine, addressing quality concerns. "They are bad games. They were poorly rated because they were bad games."

"We went away from what is Spider-Man," he continued. "It's about web-slinging. If you don't do web-slinging, what is the fantasy of Spider-Man?"

Kotick's "We went away from what is Spider-Man" sentiments are interesting because they echo how Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Joe Quesada felt about the character until last year. Unfortunately, Quesada's approach to taking Peter back to his roots involved retconning his marriage to Mary Jane in exchange for a deal with the devil (Mephisto) to save his Aunt's life (again). It was an utterly bizarre concept, even by Marvel standards, a complete cop-out after the events of Civil War, and the reason I finally stopped following their comics altogether.

Because, hey, if you're going to undo a character's life at the height of his evolution, count me out.

With regard to the games, however, Bobby Kotick is probably right. The last Spider-Man game I can say I really enjoyed was the Neversoft game on PS1. The movie games were decent, but as a longtime fan, I much prefer when they take place in the "comic universe." It gives the developer far more creative freedom, and the potential for fanservice is vast. Levels like the SWAT helicopter chase from Spider-Man on the PS1 still haven't been outdone in my personal opinion.

That isn't to say web-slinging is the only issue that needs to be addressed. Something I'd very much like to see Activision consider is some sort of a dynamic monologue / dialogue system, based on your actions within the game, which emphasizes Peter's personality. I feel like that's at least half the appeal of the character. A story that isn't as outrageous or overused as Web of Shadows would be nice, too. Did we really need another symbiote outbreak?

I'd point to dialogue, characterization and conveying the "feel" of the character himself as great starting points for bringing the games back up to scratch. The PS1 game was great because it looked to the right source (the '90s Fox cartoon) for inspiration. What else can you think of?

Hands on with Spider Man Battle for New York f1i4d

With no movie tie in until next year, Activision continues the Spider-Man video game series with Battle for New York on the DS and GBA. The game has a cartoon style similar to Ultimate Spiderman and gameplay similar to Spider Man 2 for the DS. Players move Spider-Man through 2D side scrolling levels while fighting enemies with the face buttons. Gamers can also use Spider-man’s web powers to entangle enemies. Each punch and kick fills up a meter on the touch screen that lets Spider-Man do super attacks when it is full. In the game players will meet up with villains like Silver Sable and the Green Goblin, who appears as a playable character. The two characters have different stories and different gameplay styles. Spider-Man Battle for New York is shaping up as a game that fans of the series will probably enjoy, but we’re left wondering what else Activision has planned for the touch screen.
