Shimamura stores in Japan will sell pouches and dolls containing chocolate, with the items shaped like iconic characters such as Kirby. You’ll be able to get designs featuring popular anime and game characters, or mascots in January and February 2025. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

The chocolate dolls and pouches from Shimamura are available for pre-order from January 8-18, 2025. They’ll ship out some time between late January and early February 2025. Shimamura doesn’t offer international shipping, so people who live overseas may need to use a proxy service. There are only limited amounts in stock for each item, so if you’re interested in purchasing one, you may need to act fast.

Prices range between 350 JPY ($2.20) and 1490 JPY ($9.45). Aside from pouches and plushes, you can also get a more normal tin or jar full of chocolates. Franchises you can get goods for include Haikyuu, Cardcaptor Sakura, Kirby, and Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel. You can also get pouches of Kuromi, My Melody, and Cinnamoroll. The only plush dolls with chocolate are Kirby and Tsuburana Hitomi no Namagaki.

Since these chocolates come inside cute tins or pouches, you can purchase them for yourself as a collector’s item. However, the timing of when they’ll ship out means you can also buy them as a Valentine’s gift. Other character-focused Valentine’s chocolates from Japan include Pikmin and Animal Crossing chocolates from Godiva.

The chocolate pouches and dolls from Shimamura will be available for pre-order from January 8 until January 18, 2025.

Shimamura will release new bedding and blankets inspired by Bleach Gotei 13 uniforms in Japan on October 30, 2024. The collection includes pillowcases, mattress pads, duvet covers, and blankets, featuring designs the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime. Characters like Ichigo Kurosaki and Uryu Ishida also appear.

Bleach-themed blankets are available in standard (590 yen / $4) and alternate designs (690 yen / $4.60) at 43x63 cm. Duvet covers are 1,990 yen ($13.40) or 2,189 yen ($14.70) for the alternate, with those measuring at 150x210 cm. Single-size mat pads are also 1,990 yen ($13.40) or 2,189 yen ($14.70) for the alternate at 100x205 cm. Additional mats come in 70x100 cm sizes, priced at 990 yen ($6.70) or 1,089 yen ($7.30) for the alternative art. Hooded mats of the same size cost 1,490 yen ($10) or 1,629 yen ($11). Designs feature individual characters and group artwork focused around Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.

More Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War merchandise is on the way, though it will take longer to arrive. Good Smile Company opened pre-orders for the Toshiro Hitsugaya Pop Up Parade figure worldwide. It is inspired by his appearance in the latest anime adaptation.

The Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War merchandise will be available on Shimamura's online store starting October 30, 2024. The anime is streaming on Disney+ and Hulu. Viz Media handles the manga outside Japan.

As a note, all of the clothing items are mens’ sizes. So when you’re buying them, if you don’t normally wear clothing for men, you might need to buy a size smaller than your usual.

Some of these items have been around in the past. The Morgana parka in particular must be a very popular item. This marks the third time Avail and Shimamura have offered it during a Persona 5 or Persona 5 Royal collaboration.

Though the game came out in 2019 for Japan, it remains very popular today. Kotobukiya recently announced a re-run of a scale figure of Kasumi Yoshizawa in her Phantom Thief outfit, with this figure’s initial release being in 2020. Meanwhile, NetEase is currently re-running its Persona 5 crossover event in Identity V.

Persona 5 Royal is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch.

If you want the strongest baby in the world, Shimamura has got your back, as it has opened up pre-orders for Dragon Ball baby clothes. It also sells men's t-shirts too. [Thanks, Inside Games!]

Pre-orders are open until April 14, 2024 in Japan. There are several variations of shirts that you can purchase. For the babies, you can get a T-shirt, a short-sleeved onesie that looks like Goku’s training outfit, and pajamas. Adults have a wider range of designs to choose from. Instead of only being able to look like Goku, you can also buy shirts with Korin or Frieza on them.

As for the prizes, the baby shirts cost 990 JPY ($6.50) and the onesie costs 1490 JPY ($9.75).  As for the adults, the t-shirts cost 990 JPY as well. However, if the normal sizes are a bit too small for you, you can get a larger size for 1090 JPY ($7.15). Shimamura does not directly offer international shipping. So if you want to purchase these specific pieces of clothing, you’ll need to use a proxy service of some kind.

The Dragon Ball Super t-shirts and baby clothes from Shimamura will be available for pre-order until April 14, 2024. Dragon Ball Super is readily available on streaming services like Crunchyroll.

A new line of Super Mario Bros apparel and housewear for men and kids will be available at Shimamura stores throughout Japan from March 23, 2024. Some items in the new collection are limited to some Shimamura retail stores and some to the online store.

The kid clothes are available in sizes 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, and 160cm. Meanwhile, the kid pyjamas are only available in sizes 120, 130, and 140cm. The men t-shirts are available in sizes M, L, and XL.

Shimamura’s Avail announced the release of a new line of Persona 5 apparel that includes clothing items inspired by the game, as well as a headband shaped like Morgana. The new clothing line will go on sale on January 20, 2024.

The new Persona 5 clothing line will be sold at a variety of Avail physical stores throughout Japan and will also be available for purchase from the official Avail online store. Here is the full list of the new Persona 5 Avail clothing line, alongside their prices:

Avail previously released another smaller line of clothing based on Persona 5 that included a Morgana parka. As of the time of writing, clicking on the link in the announcement Tweet will take you to the main Shimamura store for Avail. The online store will not have the Hunter x Hunter items until December 9, 2023. Avail does not offer international shipping. So those who don’t plan on being in Japan at the time will need to use a proxy service if they wish to purchase these items.

The shirts use images from the openings and endings and key moments from the show. For example, you can get a shirt with the iconic and memetic Hisoka schwing (from his fight against Gon in Heaven’s Tower).

You can also get a smartphone stand that looks like Gon, Killua, and Hisoka are doing their utmost best to hold onto it (from the dodgeball game in Greed Island). Finally, there is also a card game that looks like a Hunter’s license.

Hunter x Hunter (2011) is readily available on streaming services such as Crunchyroll and Netflix. Those in the US can also watch it via Viz Media's YouTube channel. The Hunter x Hunter collection at Avail will appear in stores starting December 9, 2023.

A new line of Super Mario Bros themed clothing will launch at Shimamura stores across Japan on August 23, 2023. The lineup will consist of three sweatshirt variants and three hoodie styles. The Super Mario sweatshirts and hoodies are in "boys" sizes. The sweatshirts are priced at 1,490 yen ($10.22) each. The hoodies are priced at 1,790 yen ($12.28) each. Purchases can also be made through the Shimamura online store. Some sizes will be exclusive to the Shimamura online store.

The sweatshirts and hoodies feature different designs that have Nintendo's Super Mario Bros characters on them. The three hoodies consist of red, emerald green, and light green color variants. The characters that appear on the hoodies front and center are Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi, respectively. Each hoodie also features a tagline below the represented character.

The red Mario hoodie features one of his many catchphrases, "Here we go!" The emerald green Luigi hoodie reads "reliable brother." The light green Yoshi hoodie reads "from Yoshi's Island." Two of the sweatshirts share the same design of Mario peeking out of a shirt pocket, but they are different colors: blue and dark gray. The third sweatshirt has a different graphic of Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Toad running together as a team with the words "Super Mario" printed underneath it. Its base color is a navy blue.

Shimamura Group’s Avail opened up pre-orders for several Pokemon onesies and kigurumi hats. All of the Pokemon in the line are from the first generation. Pre-orders close on September 3, 2023, and they’ll ship out some time in late September 2023. As a reminder, Avail does not offer international shipping. Pokemon that you will be able to dress yourself as include Psyduck, Pikachu, Slowpoke, Eevee, Charizard, and Charmander. It only comes in one size, which is around 150 cm long and 64 cm wide. The arms are about 57.5 cm long. As for the hats, you can get ones based on Pikachu, Snorlax, Eevee, Gengar, Slowpoke, and Magikarp. Hats cost 2000 JPY, which is around $13.70, and onesies cost 6900 JPY, which approximately converts to $47.30. For some reason, the Magikarp is more expensive, costing 3000 JPY ($20.60).

Avail, which is part of the clothing company Shimamura, has released several collaboration lines in the past. Just earlier in 2023, it released towels and T-shirts based on Persona 5. It also released items such as T-shirts and tote bags based on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable.

The Pokemon pajamas and hats at Avail are available for pre-order until September 3, 2023 in Japan. They’ll ship out in late September 2023.

In total, there are three items to purchase from the Avail Persona 5 clothing line. They are:

There are multiple designs for the Persona 5 face towel and shirt. One of the towels shows the MC in his both his civilian and his Joker form. The other one shows the of the Phantom Thieves using their level-up portraits. The idea of using these icons also appears on one of the T-shirts. The front of it has the Phantom Thieves logo on the front, and the back has the jagged red line and portraits you see after battle when you level up.

As for the parks, wearing it makes you look like Morgana. It comes with a hood that has cat ears and Morgana’s face on it. There is also a tail on the back and a yellow kerchief-like design around the neck. It’s unclear from the pictures if the tail is just a design or if it’s a real one that will dangle from the back.

The Avail Persona 5 apparel line will become available starting on June 24, 2023. Persona 5 Tactica, the newest spin-off of Persona 5, is in development and will come out on November 17, 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Xbox Game , Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam.

Shimamura will start selling new Yu-Gi-Oh and Yu-Gi-Oh Go Rush goods from August 31, 2022. The line-up consists of acrylic stands of various Yu-Gi-Oh characters, as well as cushions that look like the Millennium Puzzle or duel disk In particular, you will be able to put the duel disk cushion on your hand. As for Yu-Gi-Oh Go Rush, you can only get an acrylic stand of Yudias and Galactica Oblivion.

The duel disk design uses the one from Yu-Gi-Oh Go Rush. While the article notes that you can attach it to your arm, there are no pictures to show how it will look like. This is also not the first time that Shimamura has released anime or video game merchandise. In the past, for example, it teamed up with Kirby on items such as socks and boxers.

The Yu-Gi-Oh and Yu-Gi-Oh Go Rush Millennium Puzzle and duel disk cushions, as well as acrylic stands, will be available from Shimamura for pre-order until September 4, 2022. They will ship out in middle to late November 2022. Shimamura does not offer international shipping.
