Prime 1 Studio has opened global pre-orders for its new Prisma Wing Glass Edition figure of Ram from Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World. It will release and ship the new figure worldwide in January 2026.

The set will practically have a 1/7 scale figure of Ram sitting on a drinking glass. The overall height will be roughly 24cm (~9.45 inches), which is measured from the base of the glass to the tip of Ram's head. Prime 1 Studio is also offering a Bonus Version that will come with a swappable alternate head part that shows Ram with a very happy facial expression.

The Bonus Version figure will be available worldwide at $190. People who want the figure will only need to pay $19 as a deposit upon placing an order. They will have to pay the remaining $171 with additional shipping costs once Prime 1 Studio has finished producing the figure and is ready to ship the package.

The more recently revealed Ram will complement the similar figures for Rem and Echidna, whom Prime 1 Studio is producing earlier. The studio will release Rem's figure first in July 2025, and Echidna will be the second to arrive in October 2025.

The Prisma Wing Glass Edition figure of Ram from Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World will be available worldwide in January 2026. The third season of the franchise's anime adaptation is still ongoing as of February 2025.

Plus, its almost battle royale-like last-man-standing format works so well. The heights are even greater in Season 2, as the scale grows to a global level.

The return of Dragon Ball is here but in quite the bizarre fashion. Instead of continuing Super, Dragon Ball Daima features the return of young Goku and the rest of the cast, as they are shrunk down amidst a new conspiracy. As the final entry in the series to be worked on by the late, great Akira Toriyama, this is a must-watch for fans of the long-running franchise.

This is the new action series everyone is going to be talking about in the very near future. If you want to be up-to-date with the latest anime trends, this is the new series to watch. It features two leads, Momo and Okarun, who believe in ghosts and aliens, respectively. It is no secret that the return of Re:Zero is a rough one. The opening feature-length premiere episode is a bit too long but it sets up a fascinating new location and story arc for Subaru and the gang. The twists, fantasy action, and countless deaths and revives of Subaru is worth a look for existing fans.

The original Gun Gale Online might be a spin-off, but it is arguably the second-best season of Sword Art Online after Season 3. It takes the most engaging video game from the series, GGO, and makes it less about the stakes and more about the characters. It has a fantastic cast, too, with the likes of lead character Llenn. GGO almost feels like the anime version of Fortnite and the second season is also well worth a look.

Kadokawa and Design Coco announced a trio of Re:Zero Jewel Princess figures of Emilia, Ram, and Rem as fairies. They are expected to launch in Japan in March 2025, and Good Smile Company and AmiAmi started taking pre-orders for all three of them ahead of their debut. They cost 4,290 yen normally, and they are $33.99 each at Good Smile Company and about $28.90 at AmiAmi.

Each of these Re:Zero Emilia, Ram, and Rem figures are 1/7 scale ones. They are all wearing matching white and gold outfits. Their accessories and wings feature their signature colors. So in the case of Emilia, her color scheme is white and purple, while Ram is pink and white and Rem is blue and white. Emilia is the tallest of the lot at just over 9 inches (233mm). Due to the poses, Ram and Rem are slightly shorter at just around 8 inches (209mm).

The Design Coco Re:Zero Jewel Princess Emilia, Ram, and Rem fairy figures will debut in Japan in March 2025, and pre-orders are open at various retailers now. Re:Zero Season 3 had its world premiere at Anime Expo 2024. The first episode of the third season debuted at the convention with a feature-length first episode. Given how impressive the initial episode of the series felt and how solid The Frozen Bond movie was, I looked forward to this lengthier episode. However, it fell flat for the most part.

The Re:Zero Season 3 premiere is the anime equivalent of “this could’ve been an email.” Without diving too much into spoilers, it starts off with a quick catchup with the main characters. We see a little bit of the aftermath of Season 2 and the return of some fan-favorite characters. For the most part, it feels like light recap material, though.

The real problem with this episode comes from how it feels like filler. The characters gather together and then go on a trip to a faraway city they’ve never been to. So much of the story focuses on the city itself and how interesting it seems, giving off these serious filler vibes.

There are the occasional worthy moments throughout the episode, especially when it comes to the return of Wilhelm to the plot. That said, they are super few and far between. Outside of a couple of scenes with Wilhelm and the actual very end of the episode, nothing feels too necessary to the plot.

For this reason, I was left wondering why this episode was essentially the length of a movie. It very well could have been a typical 23-minute anime episode and landed much better overall. The pacing, more emotional moments, and new character introductions would’ve felt more interesting this way.

Instead, my mind started to wander quite a bit throughout the movie. This especially happened when it came to the new songstress character in the city and her particular storyline. Subaru and the others stumble upon her in the midst of her singing in the streets. It all feels so non-canon anime movie style and it drags on much longer than necessary.

This plethora of comedic moments overwhelm and overshadow the more heartfelt and darker scenes in the film. Overall, I’d say there is a huge disconnect in the tone of the first episode of Season 3. This problem largely comes from the drawn out length of everything.

It might be fine if this was the first time checking out this series but this is the third season and we mostly know where Subaru’s battle against the Witch’s Cult is going. So, when it finally gets to that point, it almost feels like an afterthought instead of the main event it should be.

Fortunately, the ending is as abrupt and horrifying as you might come to expect from the series. It holds nothing back and once again provides some neat gruesome action for shock value. From here, it looks like Season 3 might get pretty interesting, but it shouldn’t have taken that long to arrive at that destination. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until the Fall 2024 anime season to see the series continue on Crunchyroll.

Kadokawa announced a release window for Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World: Witch's Re:surrection, and the new mobile game will be available in Summer 2024. It is only confirmed for Japan at the moment. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The company has also published some of the gameplay features for the new mobile game on its official website. Witch's Re:surrection will play like a regular RPG where the player will control the party leader to traverse fields while clearing quests and fighting monsters in turn-based battles.

The mobile RPG will have the following eight main party ; each having their own specialty roles. Kadokawa also teased that it will add many other characters as ing characters.

1. Subaru - Defensive tank
2. Emilia - Attacker with healing capabilities
3. Rem - Dedicated healer
4. Ram - Magic er with ally buff and enemy debuff spells
5. Wilhelm - Sword-wielding physical attacker
6. Crusch - All-around (physical & magical) attacker
7. Julius - Swordfighter who focuses on
8. Garfiel - Tank who can also heal allies

The renowned Japanese singer Konomi Suzuki will perform the game's theme song, which is titled "Resurrection." Kadokawa has ed a new trailer featuring the theme song on YouTube:

Kadokawa revealed the first teaser trailer for Witch's Re:surrection in March 2023. It took more than a year since then until the company confirmed a release window for the new mobile game.

A new external franchise crossover is coming to Goddess of Victory: NIKKE for a crossover, and there is a high probability that the title will be Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-. NIKKE's official Japanese X shared a new tweet that teases the new event.

The tweet included a short synopsis that acts as one of the hints for the new crossover. It said that dwellers from another world have appeared suddenly in NIKKE's universe.

A couple of elements in the teaser image strongly hint that the new franchise in question will be Re:Zero. The alternating usage of bold text in the subtitle (まもなく始まる新コラボ) very closely resembles Re:Zero's Japanese title (Re:ゼロから始める異世界生活). The purple color scheme in this image also matches that of the franchise's title and its primary heroine Emilia.

Regardless of whether the franchise will be Re:Zero or not, it will be a new major external franchise to contribute crossover content for Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. Shift Up has previously held collaborations with NieR:Automata and Chainsaw Man in 2023.

Good Smile Company announced it will be selling the Sega S-Fire Re:Zero Emilia and Ram figures. Both are a part of a line that involves characters from the series carrying versions of themselves as children. Both are apparently heading to Japan in October 2023. They’ll then show up in North America in Q4 2023. Each one will be ¥22,000/$154.99.

Both Emilia and Ram are 1/7th scale figures. Emilia is slightly taller, as she’s about 240mm, which is about 9 and a half inches. Ram stands at 230mm, and that makes her about nine inches tall. Each one features outfits inspired by their adult selves in the series for the older versions of the character, while the child versions of Emilia and Ram wear outfits they’d worn as kids in Re:Zero.

Good Smile Company's Harmonia humming line involves ball-ted dolls. Each one's eyes, wig, and outfit can be swapped and changed. Both the Ram and Rem dolls both come in their matching maid outfits. Each one wears a wig that matches their style from the Re:Zero series.
