The original version of Resident Evil 3 will release for PC through GoG. It will be available on September 25, 2024, with consumers available to purchase it individually or as part of GoG's Resident Evil bundle. GoG hasn't listed a price for individual purchase, but the Resident Evil bundle is available for $24.99, and includes the original versions of the first game and it's sequel, Resident Evil 2.

The PC version that will appear on GoG will English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Japanese text options, but will only be available with English audio. Like all games released through GoG, it will come DRM free.

Mercenaries Mode will be available in this version of the game, it will include new rendering options improved video subtitles, issue-less task switching, and full compatibility with Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis originally released in June 2000 for the PlayStation. It then appeared on PC, and subsequently the Sega Dreamcast and Nintendo GameCube. The game stars Jill Valentine, a former member of S.T.A.R.S., who must escape the nightmarish hordes of zombies and the imposing Nemesis while uncovering Umbrella's involvement in the Raccoon City incident.

The original Resident Evil 3 will release on PC through GoG on September 25, 2024.

A Resident Evil bundle is now available on GOG. It contains the first three games, though the second and third will come out later.

All three games are compatible on Windows 10 and 11. You’ll be able to use a controller to play, and there will be in six different language. While the bundle makes you pay for all three games, Resident Evil 2 and 3 won’t come out until later in 2024. But if you purchased the bundle, you’ll automatically see them in your library after they come out. If you don’t know if you want to buy them, you can also purchase the first game on its own.

Resident Evil to Resident Evil 3: Nemesis were on the original PlayStation console before Resident Evil 4 (the next mainline title, but not the next title in the series) appeared on the GameCube. Not only was 4 on a different console, but it was also drastically different when it came to the gameplay. Instead of a fixed camera, there was a dynamic over-the-shoulder one. It also emphasized action more, such as in the usage of quick-time events. While 2 and 3 have more modern remakes that make use of polished graphics and controls, some people may want to experience the original game and GOG has made it easier to do so.

The Resident Evil bundle is available on GOG for Windows PC. Resident Evil 2 and 3 will appear later in 2024.

The Resident Evil X (Twitter) has shared some artwork of Yoshihiro Togashi’s take on Jill and Nemesis in an old Resident Evil 3 official guidebook. This was in response to Togashi sharing art on the first Resident Evil game.

On May 27, 2024, Togashi ed a picture he did of the main characters from Resident Evil. From left to right, we can see Jill, Chris, Barry, and Rebecca. There’s also a zombie in the background. In response, the Resident Evil Twitter QRT-ed Togashi with a picture that he did in the Resident Evil 3 guidebook.

In the picture, he celebrates Jill’s return. Underneath it, he jokes that two options might not be enough to change a fate (as a reference to how Resident Evil 3: Nemesis had different endings depending on your choices). In the Nemesis speech bubble, Togashi had Nemesis say that he was happy to see a familiar face since he liked the first game more than the second.

He also added that he can’t help but chase after her because of her mini-skirt. On the side of it, Togashi comments on how the dodge mechanic could be very effective depending on how you use it. He wonders if it’s possible to clear the game without using too many bullets, thanks to dodge.

Finally, in the bubble next to Jill, Togashi reminds players to take a good look at the Game Over screen without resetting immediately. This is because Jill might be using the last moments of her life to give “fanservice,” with her miniskirt being a hint as to what Togashi means. He then calls himself terrible in the corner of the speech bubble.

Yoshihiro Togashi is a manga artist known for his work on Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter.

Microsoft announced the latest Xbox Game games for February 2024, and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and the Resident Evil 3 remake are among them. This comes as a free Shantae costume arrives in 1.5 for Bloodstained.

Ahead of the PS5 and Xbox Series X ports of some Resident Evil games, Capcom’s been sharing art and details about the titles on social media. One of the latest pictures involves one of the series’ more famous B.O.W. Tyrants. Four pieces of concept art from Resident Evil 3 show Nemesis over the course of the character’s life.

There are four pieces of Nemesis concept art combined into a single Resident Evil 3 image. Many of them show the Tyrant as a work in progress at Umbrella’s labs. In one case, there’s evidence of an incident in which people working on the project were injured. In the final picture, people see Nemesis meeting Jill Valentine in Raccoon City.

As a reminder, people who the PS5 or Xbox Series X version of Resident Evil 3 won’t start from scratch. Capcom confirmed that save files for the remake, as well as for Resident Evil 2 and 7, will carry over. So someone who played Resident Evil 3 on the PS4 will be able to use that save on the PS5, for example.

The Resident Evil 3 remake is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. It will show up on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X later in 2022. The original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis appeared on the Dreamcast, GameCube, PlayStation, and PC.

Capcom announced sales for the Resident Evil 3 remake have sured 5 million copies worldwide. The sales figure was announced through the official Japanese Resident Evil Twitter . The developer also thanked those who have continued to the Resident Evil series. In April 2020, Capcom revealed that worldwide sales for the Resident Evil 3 remake had sured 2 million copies just five days after its release. It appears as though the remake continues to sell, albeit far slower than other recent entries in the series.

That said, the remake has well sured the amount of total copies shipped for the original release of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis sold roughly 3.5 million units during its lifetime. However, the Resident Evil series has recently seen a resurgence. For example, Resident Evil 7 has sold over 10 million units worldwide since its January 2017 release. The most recent entry, Resident Evil Village, has sold approximately 5.7 million units as of February 2022.

Capcom has plans to release DLC for Resident Evil Village. While the company announced Resident Evil Village DLC was in development in June 2021, information regarding the potential DLC content has been scarce. However, in January 2022 it revealed the DLC would arrive sometime within the year.

Resident Evil 3 is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

After quite a bit of work, Darkness Valtier created a massive Resident Evil 3 mod pack that alters the entire cast of the game. Namely, once applied with FluffyQuack’s Fluffy Manager 5000, everyone from The Last of Us: Part 2 is there. The True Ending mod pack pulls together character replacements Darknessvaltier worked on, giving people a chance to play as and see characters like Ellie, Joel, Dina, and Abby.

Here’s what the full cast ends up looking like. The three playable characters end up being Ellie, Joel, and Dina when the mod is applied. Ellie and Dina are both connected to Jill Valentine costumes, while Joel is connected to Carlos Oliveira outfits.

Capcom revised its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2021. Strong sales from Resident Evil 3 and the Monster Hunter series were significant factors behind the upward revision.

Capcom set the previous earnings forecast in August 2020 following its best-ever first quarter in sales and profit. With the continued strong sales of several key titles, the forecast has once again been revised. The previous estimates of 85 billion yen (~$822 million) increased to 92 billion yen (~$890 million). The operating income forecast also increased from 25.5 billion yen (~$247 million) to 30.5 billion (~$295 million). Ordinary income saw a similar increase going from 25.5 billion yen to 30 billion yen.

One of the biggest reasons behind the revision comes from the recent success in digital sales. Capcom noted that Resident Evil 3's strong sales and the long sales cycles from Monster Hunter World: Iceborne as other factors. Furthermore, Monster Hunter Rise is also off to a promising start in pre-orders ahead of its launch this March.

The Monster Hunter series is also finding success beyond console gaming sales. Capcom also noted that the recently launched Monster Hunter: World pachislot has been a bright spot in the Amusement Equipments business segment. In other words, the Monster Hunter: World pachislot game has been popular at parlors across Japan.

On the website where the Control Ultimate Edition Cloud Version appears, people allegedly found an image referring to a Resident Evil 3 Switch Cloud Version. Here’s the exact image that people found suggesting a cloud version of the game is in the works.

This is actually the second time the potential port appeared. Originally, as pointed out by Rely on Horror in March 2020, the Resident Evil 3 demo made mention of the Nintendo Switch in its code when discussing its autosave feature. At the time, Niko Partners Senior Analyst Daniel “ZhugeEX” Ahmad said Capcom was considering a “cloud version.”

Capcom hasn’t said anything about a Resident Evil 3 Switch release.

Resident Evil 3 appeared in April 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It included both a remake of Resident Evil 3 and the 4v1 multiplayer game Resident Evil: Resistance.

Capcom released its financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2020, which saw first-quarter record numbers in net sales and profit.

In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, net sales were 23.72 billion yen, which is about 32.2% year-over-year. The operating income was 10.71 billion yen to put it up 37.9% year-over-year. Net income attributable to owners of the parent was around 7.8 billion yen to be up 44.2% year-over-year. As you can see, the first quarter saw marginal increases across the board.

The earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2021 hasn't changed since we saw the previous financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2020.

The Digital Contents business saw an increase through digital sales growth of major new titles and catalog titles. This helped Capcom achieve its highest net sales and highest levels of all profit items for a first quarter. Resident Evil 3 delivered solid sales which helped boost cumulative sales of the Resident Evil series to 100 million units. Continued growth in sales for titles such as Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and Resident Evil 2 also helped drive profit. Net sales were 21.476 billion yen, about 53.7% more than the previous fiscal year. Operating income was 11.8 billion yen, an increase of 52.6% from the previous year's.

Like all arcade business in Japan, Capcom's arcade operations took a heavy blow from stores being forced to close due to the impact of COVID-19. While business subsequently resumed, it wasn't enough to recover to normal levels. Overall, there was a significant decrease in sales and profit. Net sales, in particular, dropped by about 56.3% from the previous fiscal year with an operating loss of 554 million yen.

The Amusement business segment also saw a big drop because of the closures and suspended operations due to COVID-19. Net sales dropped by 19.4% from the same term in the previous fiscal year. Operating income here was 71 million yen, down 46.7% from the previous fiscal year.

The "Other Businesses" include profit from merchandise, film adaptations using intellectual property, eSports, and more. Net sales were 879 million yen, so that's down 14.2% from the previous fiscal year. Operating income was 511 million yen which was about 20.2% less than the same term in the previous fiscal year.

Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy won’t be playable in Resident Evil 3’s multiplayer mode, but they will certainly be there in spirit soon. In August 2020, Capcom will add Resident Evil Resistance Claire and Leon costumes. These will be paid DLC and are based on the appearances of the characters in the Resident Evil 2 remake.

This costume pack also means people will get a chance to see Jill Valentine in Claire’s outfit. She was added as a Resident Evil Resistance character back in April 2020.

That same tweet also confirmed the Resident Evil 3 remake will be getting the same sort of unlock DLC as the Resident Evil 2 remake. The previous game allowed people to pay a small fee for an add-on that unlocked things like extra costumes and modes. The same will be offered here, with the tweet suggesting that will arrive in August 2020 too.

Resident Evil Resistance is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and comes with copies of Resident Evil 3.
