Finally, a long awaited Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- Xtend Edition update has appeared. ININ Games, which is now working on the Root Double Switch port with Sekai Project and Regista, “announced” the project again and confirmed news will be coming soon. It’s not detailed, sure, but it’s something.

Here’s ININ Games’ update, which showed up on Twitter on September 2, 2020.

It has been over a year since we heard anything about this port. Sekai Project said it would be bringing it to the platform at E3 2019 and assigned it a Winter 2019 launch window. However, as you probably gathered, that never happened.

When it was originally announced, the Root Double Switch port only had a digital eShop release confirmed. However, ININ Games is known as both a digital and physical game publisher. It also has been rated by the USK.

Here is the E3 2019 trailer.

Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- Xtend Edition is available on the PlayStation Vita and PC worldwide. It follows a group of people in a LABO nuclear research facility where the reactor is shutting down. Your emotional responses determine what will happen.

MissileDancer

MissileDancer, a shoot 'em up that will focus on locking onto enemies and destroying them in one fell swoop with a barrage of missiles, is heading to the Nintendo SwitchMissileDancer originally released on PCs and mobile devices.

The game is a vertical shooter, and while you do have a regular fire button, the main feature of the game comes into play when you hold the shot button to open up a cursor to lock-on. By defeating enemies with missiles rather than regular gunfire, you'll gain more items and points from the enemies. However, make sure to dodge enemy missiles as well!

Check out the trailer below. The Switch version completely revamps the game's graphical style from simplistic to one that is more in line with the shoot 'em ups created during the genre’s golden age.

Here's what the original version looked like before:

Additionally, the Switch version adds in the ability to play two-player couch co-op with friends for an even more thrilling experience. The game s Japanese, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Korean, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

MissileDancer will fire onto Nintendo Switch via the eShop on June 25, 2020.

Earlier this week, Regista announced that they are bringing the on-rails arcade shooter title Assault ChaingunS KM onto Nintendo Switch on February 20, 2020. The game originally released on iOS and Android in 2018.

The game harkens back to the early 3D era of on-rails shooters, and has players taking control of chainguns from an attack helicopter. The premise of the game is that a certain city has been invaded by a mysterious robot force, and so the player is sent in to clean up. The robots will shoot missiles that can hurt you, and you'll get a Game Over if your life reaches 0%, so shoot them all down! You can find more screenshots below:

[gallery columns="2" size="medium" ids="823982,823981,823980,823979,823978,823983" link="file"]

Up to four players can play together at once on the Switch version if each player uses one Joy-Con. Additionally, the Switch version adds in gyro controls to help aim easier. The original smartphone versions just had players firing at wherever they were touching on the touchscreen, and as you might expect, this function will work as well in portable mode for the Switch port.

Finally, there are two new stages that will be exclusive to the Switch version of the game.

Although the game will only be in Japanese, it's not the sort of game where you need to read the text, so Western players should not have any problems playing this title.

Assault ChaingunS KM releases on Nintendo Switch via the eShop on February 20, 2020. The original Assault Chaingun KM is immediately available on iOS and Android.

imageTakumi Nakazawa, Director of Ever17, teamed up with Japanese publisher Yeti and developer Regista to make Root Double: Before Crime * After Days. This sci-fi/suspense adventure game takes place in the near future, September 2030 AD in a gigantic research hub with 180,000 residents.

Research is the heart of the city so it's kept under strict supervision. People living inside cannot interact with those outside without approval by the local government. In exchange for giving up privacy and communication with the outside world, the government provides pristine medical facilities and tax exemptions. Everyone must agree to these before moving in. Researchers in particular consider the environment is like heaven since they can focus on their specific fields.

At the edge of town, there is a large atomic furnace, a huge institute called "LABO," it stands for 6th Laboratory of Atomic and Biological Organization. Rumor has it this place is conducting important research for the government. Root Double: Before Crime * After Days begins when an accident occurs there.

The game has a number of protagonists and two routes. Watase Kasasagi is the protagonist in route A. He is sent in as part of the rescue party for the LABO accident. Due to an unrelated incident Watase does not have his memories. His story begins when he wakes up inside LABO with all of the escape routes closed off. Desperately he tries to escape. Kazami Tachibana, the heroine in this route, takes command, but this is her first rescue mission. They are ed by Jun, another green rescue team member who is good with machines, and Ena who dreams of being a teacher. She was in LABO on the day of the accident.

Route B's lead character is a high school student. Natsuhiko is kind of a loner and his mother, a scientist, spends more time on her research than him. He's in LABO during the day of the accident too. Yuri, Natsuhiko's childhood friend, has been living with the family without care for quite some time. She's rescued early on. Other characters in route B are also classmates Mashiro who cares for Natsuhiko like a girlfriend and Louise the class genius who transfers to Natsuhiko's high school right before the events of the game.

Root Double: Before Crime * After Days is slated for release next year. Yeti have not announced a platform for the game.
