Kotobukiya will re-release its figure of Lio Fotia from Promare. It’ll cost 16,500 JPY ($107.75), and it’ll come out some time in October 2024. [Thanks, Figure Times!]

The Promare Lio figure from Kotobukiya first came out in October 2020. That was around less than a year after the movie’s initial release. The figure is available in the Kotobukiya Online Shop, which only offers delivery within Japan. Those outside of Japan may want to purchase it from stores like AmiAmi. Incidentally, you can save almost 3000 JPY if you order it from AmiAmi. It’s offering the figure for around 13,860 JPY, which is approximately $90.70.

The figure shows Lio holding his Burnish fire in his hand, with flames around his feet as the base as well. It’s a 1/7 scale figure and stands at approximately 247 millimeters tall. Because of the way that his hair is around his head, it can be a little hard to see his eyes. You might be able to adjust this based on how you position the figure in your display.

Promare came out in 2019, with Studio Trigger and XFLAG producing it. Hiroyuki Imaishi directed it. The movie focuses on Galo, a firefighter from Burning Rescue, and Lio, who is the leader of the Burnish terrorist group, Mad Burnish. Burnish are humans who developed pyrokinetic abilities after a mass spontaneous human combustion event, the Great World Blaze.

The Promare Lio Fotia figure re-release is open for pre-order and it’ll come out in October 2024.

HoYoVerse teased a Honkai Impact 3rd Promare event. It won't appear until sometime in September 2023, but there's already initial art. It is also unknown if there will be exclusive battlesuits or events, or if there will just be themed skins for existing characters' battlesuits to change how they look.

Here’s the teaser image for the crossover. It features Kiana Kaslana in the background. It also seems to suggest there could be a battlesuit or skin of Kiana Kaslana as Lio Fotia. There’s no hint as to who Galo Thymos could be.

Meanwhile, the film Promare is currently streaming on Max. It is available with the English dub or Japanese voice acting with English subtitles.

One of the last Honkai Impact 3rd crossover events involved HoYoVerse's own characters, People could get Fischl, from Genshin Impact, in the game. She remained a lighting-type character and also used a bow, just like she does in her original game.

Honkai Impact 3rd is available on the PC and mobile devices. Its Promare crossover will arrive in September 2023.

Good Smile Company has opened up pre-orders for monochrome Pop Up Parade figures of Galo Thymos and Lio Fotia from Promare. As opposed to the distinctive vibrant hues from the movie, the figures have muted coloring. They will ship out in November 2021 for Japanese customers, and January 2022 for North American customers. Pre-orders close on August 5, 2021.

Galo's Pop Up Parade figure has a confident expression. Since he is not wearing a shirt, you can see the medical sleeve on his arm. He holds the staff weapon that his Matoi Tech wields, and is in his Burning Rescue uniform. In the monochrome version, the brightest parts of him are his hair and pants. Galo will cost 3900 JPY/$38.99.

In contrast, the Lio Pop Up Parade figure has a more serious expression. His entire body, including his hair, are grey and black. The only color comes from the fire in his hand. Like in the movie, the Burnish flame is a pale pink and blue. Similar to Galo, Lio will cost 3900 JPY/$38.99.

Promare first premiered in theaters in 2019, with some movie theaters bringing it back from time to time due to its popularity. GKIDS Films previously announced that Promare, along with other movies such as Lupin III: The First, will return to select American theaters from June 2021 to September 2021. The English dub of Promare will air on September 16, 2021 and the Japanese version will air on September 19, 2021.

The Promare Galo and Lio Monochrome Pop Up Parade figures are open for pre-order and will ship out in November 2021 for those who live in Japan. For those who live in North America, they will ship out in January 2022.

In commemoration of Promare’s second anniversary, an event to exhibit Hiroyuki Imaishi’s works will take place from May 29 to June 27, 2021. In addition, the event includes an encore showing of Promare. "The World of Hiroyuki Imaishi" is a collaboration between Studio TRIGGER and Good Smile Company, and will feature a variety of merchandise from Imaishi’s numerous works. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Tickets cost 2600 JPY. Pre-orders were open from April 30 to May 5, and normal tickets are available to purchase from May 15, 2021. If you wish to obtain a canvas bearing the event's key visual, tickets will cost 5600 JPY. Three of Studio TRIGGER's top creatives will be at the event for a talk show. The guests will be director Hiroyuki Imaishi, character designer Shigeto Koyama, and creative director Hiromi Wakabayashi.

GKIDS Films has announced that it will be bringing back Children of the Sea, Weathering With You, Lupin III: The First, and Promare to select theatres. Each movie will be available in Japanese with subtitles, as well as English dub. Tickets will go on sale from May 14, 2021. You can also sign up for updates through the GKIDS official announcement page.

The screenings, in collaboration with Fathom Events, will run from June 2021 to September 2021. Weathering With You, Lupin III: The First, and Promare will be shown in 4DX in select theatres. Additionally, Promare's screening will also include the SIDE: GALO and SIDE: LIO prequel shorts.

On January 4, 2021, GKIDS Films, a publishing house that frequently distributes Studio Ghibli projects, revealed a new lineup of six titles set to release on HBO Max this month. As of January 12, 2021 these titles, which include Promare, are now available to stream on the platform.

Two documentaries about Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki are available, as well. They are the 2013 film The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness and Never-Ending Man: Hayao Miyazaki. The last three titles rounding out the new selection are the animated features Weathering with You, Ride Your Wave, and The Night is Short, Walk on Girl.

The official Twitter for GKIDS Films went on to mention that Weathering With You on HBO Max has a “strange issue” with audio and subtitles. “Some s have said that by selecting the Spanish language option in the main film menu, you can access the Japanese language version with English subtitles,” said the company.

Studio Trigger’s Promare only recently became available in North America after two limited-run theatrical releases and its physical version’s debut. A collector’s edition that included a CD soundtrack, the film’s script, decals, and a poster was also released. Those interested in the anime who are looking to express their love for the series during Zoom meetings can also Promare backgrounds shared by the distributor near the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Publishing house GKIDS Films has announced its plans for releasing a special version of theatrical anime hit Promare. The company announced via Twitter that a Promare collector's edition will be released on August 4, 2020. Preorders are not live yet, but the GKIDS Films social media noted that it will have that information soon. In the meantime, a preliminary bonus feature list has been revealed, which includes a CD soundtrack.

Promare was previously made available on digital formats on April 21, 2020, and the standard edition of the DVD and Blu Ray will be released later this month on May 19, 2020. The Promare collector's edition will include a CD soundtrack from composer Hiroyuki Sawano, a copy of the film's script (in English), a mini-poster, and a decal sticker. That's all in addition to the features included on the standard edition.

The latest effort from Studio Trigger and Gurren Lagann and Panty & Stocking director Hiroyuki Imaishi, Promare saw a limited theatrical release in North America in September 2019. It was so well-received it came back to theaters for another limited run later in the year. A third run was planned for April 2020, alongside two new prequel short films. Unfortunately, that run was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the COVID-19 pandemic keeping people at home, more people are using telecommuting meeting software like Zoom to connect with other people and participate in “face-to-face” meetings. In response to this, official Promare and Final Fantasy Zoom backgrounds have been released by both GKids and Square Enix. All of the options give people a chance to head to Promepolis or Midgar.

The Promare Zoom backgrounds all feature scenes from the Studio Trigger movie. In one of the images, you can even have Galo and Lio going head to head, literally, behind you.

All four of the Final Fantasy Zoom backgrounds are from Final Fantasy VII Remake. People can make it look like they are visiting Aerith’s church, 7th Heaven, Wall Market, or Midgar in general.

With Zoom, people can background images to replace the room or scene behind you when you are in a meeting or chatting with friends. You just go to Room Management, then Zoom Rooms, then choose a background image for Zoom under Settings. As long as the image is under 5mb and is at least 960px, you can use it as a background under Zoom Rooms in Room Management. A physical green screen isn’t necessary, though it is recommended.

Promare was supposed to return to theaters in North America in April 2020 for a “Complete” showing. Final Fantasy VII Remake will come to the PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020.

While Promare has appeared in theaters worldwide multiple times, merchandise might not have been as easy for people to find worldwide. A Galo Nendoroid did appear in January 2020, but now it seems more Promare Nendoroids are on the way. Good Smile Company has announced a rerun of the Galo Thymos figure for October 2020 that will appear alongside the new standard and Complete Combustion versions of Lio Fotia.

The Galo Nendoroid is up for preorder until June 3, 2020 and will cost $52.99. The Burning Rescue fireman has his standard and screaming faces, and he comes with both his Gaen and Matoi Gear.

As for the Lio Promare Nendoroids, people get a few more options. The basic version of Lio will be $43.99. Lio has normal and smiling faces, a Burnish sword, a Burnish Flare, and Ice Bullet handcuffs. The Complete Combustion version heats things up for $55.99 with a few extra parts. This involves a face plate with a more innocent expression, an extra shirtless torso, sitting legs, and a Flaming Throne seat.

All three of these Promare Nendoroids will be available in October 2020, with Good Smile Company store preorders ending June 3, 2020. Also, licensing restrictions mean they can only be shipped to Japan, the U.S., and Canada. Promare was supposed to appear in theaters in North America again in April 2020 with extra content, but that will very likely be delayed by the pandemic.

Studio Trigger’s Promare is once again going to appear in North American theaters. Yet another Fathom event has been announced via GKIDS Films’ Twitter. This time, there will be showings on April 7 and 8, 2020 and the showing will be called Promare (Complete).

The “complete” part of that refers to the extra content that will accompany each showing. Every presentation will have Side: Galo and Side: Lio animated shorts that offer insight into what was going on with both of these lead characters ahead of the events of the movie. The presentation will also be accompanied by a recorded message from Hiroyuki Imaishi, the film’s director. (He’s one of the Studio Trigger co-founders and has worked on shows like Neon Genesis Evangelion, FLCL, Gurren Lagann, and Kill la Kill.)

As for the showings, which day someone would want to go depends on whether they prefer Japanese audio with subtitles or an English dub. The April 7, 2020 showing will be a subtitled one, while the April 8, 2020 one will be subtitled.

People who won’t be able to attend a showing will have to wait until May to bring Promare home. Digital copies and streams will be available on May 5, 2020 in English. Physical Blu-ray and DVD copies will appear starting on May 19, 2020, with both standard and steelbook editions available.
