The Pokemon Company International announced that there are two more Pokemon Home shiny Pokemon giveaways, and this time we can earn Keldeo and Meltan. Both are available to collect as of February 12, 2025. You need to finish the Pokemon Sword or Shield Pokedex for Galar to get Keldeo. Meanwhile, Meltan is tied to Kanto Pokedex completion for either Let’s Go, Pikachu or Eevee.

Both the shiny Keldeo and Meltan will arrive at level 50 if you manage to earn them. The Keldeo will know Aqua Tail, Double Kick, Quick Guard, and Sacred Sword. Meanwhile, the Meltan will arrive with a moveset that includes Acid Armor, Flash Cannon, Headbutt, and Thunder Wave.

This is the third Pokemon Home Shiny Pokemon giveaway event tied to game completion. The first giveaway started in October 2024. That stars a Shiny Meloetta. It requires you to play Pokemon Scarlet or Violet and potentially its DLC to complete the Paldea, Blueberry, and Kitakami Pokedexes. If you do all that, it ends up being sent to your collection in the app.

The second giveaway happened more recently. In January 2025, Shiny Enamorus and Manaphy appeared in the app. To get Manaphy, you need to complete the Pokedex in either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl. Meanwhile, that Enamorus is tied to the Hisuian Pokedex in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Let’s Go, Eevee, as well as Pokemon Sword and Shield, are available on the Nintendo Switch. Pokemon Home is available on the Switch and mobile devices now, and the shiny Keldeo and Meltan promotions are live in that app.

Check out how they compare below:

  • (2011) Dark Souls  – 279,567 [PS3]
  • (2014) Dark Souls II261,147 [PS3-255,197|X360-5,950]

  • (2018) Super Robot Wars X 143,301 [PS4-89,259|PSV-54,042]
  • (2019) Super Robot Wars T – 132,144 [PS4-88,093|Switch-44,051]

Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! debuted with the Switch version at #4 with 28,509 units sold and the PS4 version at #6 with 21,041 units sold, combining for 49,550 units between the two.   The latest Atelier game released with Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland for PlayStation 4 at #5 with 27,734 units sold and for Switch at #13 with 12,473 units sold in its debut for a total of 40,207 units sold between the two. It’s the first rise in opening sales for the main entry since Atelier Sophie in 2015, so it’ll be crucial for Gust and Koei Tecmo to ride the momentum going into the next Atelier game. You can check out some of the previous Atelier game debuts below:

  • (2013) Atelier Escha & Logy – 57,550 [PS3]
  • (2014) Atelier Shallie – 43,744 [PS3]

Lastly, we have Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet at #11 with 12,958 units sold on PS4 and at #20 with 7,075 units sold on Switch to combine for 20,033 units. The original Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 sold 44,723 units with Fortune on PS4 and 21,959 units with Venus on PS Vita to combine for 66,682 units.   In hardware sales, the PlayStation 4 system sold 27,061 units and an additional 7,834 units of PS4 Pros for a total of 34,895 units between the two. Samurai Warriors 4 DX charted at #15 with 5,330 units sold on PS4 and at #17 with 4,704 units sold for Switch to combine for 10,034 units between the two. Lastly, Kenka Bancho Otome 2nd Rumble!! debuted at #18 with 4,014 units sold on PS Vita.   We also need to give a shout out to Judgment which wasn’t even in the top-50 the week prior but managed to get up to #9 as a result of Sega stopping its physical and digital sales following the arrest of Pierre Taki. The game has been topping the charts in Japan but we’ll get more into detail on that in a later report.   In hardware sales, the PlayStation 4 sold 25,015 units plus an additional 7,206 units from PS4 Pros to total 32,221 units sold in the week. The Nintendo Switch dropped by about 13k from the week before, but it sold 56,954 units to be the best-selling console of the week with about 59.4% of all hardware sales. Going by Media Create’s figures, the Nintendo Switch is currently at 7,693,756 units sold in Japan since its launch in March 3, 2017.   The top-20 chart of the week is as follows:
