The Pokemon Center in Japan released the new collection of cute and useful home items to spruce up your domicile. These items were originally announced on April 18, 2025. Now they're in store online, ahead of a larger debut. Some of the more notable items include a Bulbasaur planter, a Geodude hanger, and a Trubbish garbage can.

You can now purchase these items via the online Pokemon Center store. If you want to get them from the physical locations, you’ll have to wait until April 26, 2025. Items range from house slippers to bookends. So, like past collections such as the Pikachu Everyday Fun Kitchen line, they’re good for the older Pokemon fan who still want to communicate their love for the series through their furniture.

Here are the various items in this new collection:

  • Bulbasaur miniature planter: 4,400 JPY (~$31)
  • Cubchoo tissue case: 2,970 JPY (~$21)
  • Gardevoir and Gallade bookends: 3,960 JPY (~$28)
  • Geodude hanger: 2,420 JPY (~$17)
  • Maushold wall clock: 4,950 JPY (~$35)
  • Mimikyu stand mirror: 3,960 JPY (~$28)
  • Psyduck room slippers: 3,960 JPY (~$28)
  • Snorunt fridge deodorizer: 2,750 JPY ($20)
  • Sprigatito aroma stone diff: 3,850 JPY ($27)
  • Trubbish garbage can: 3,300 JPY ($23)

And here's a closer look at all of the different items in this collection.

As a note, products that require another item to work will not come with said item. For example, you’ll need to provide the batteries for the Maushold clock yourself, as well as find the deodorant for the Snorunt fridge deodorant yourself. To use the aroma stone diff, you’ll need to use a few droplets of essential oil on the stone flowers on the plate. The Sprigatito is sitting next to it, as if it’s guarding the stones. The scent of the essential oil you used will waft up in the air after that.

The Pokemon domestic home items are available on the online Pokemon Center stores in Japan. They’ll appear in physical locations around the country from April 26, 2025.

pokemon center fukuoka

A new Pokemon Center store will open up in the Hakata Marui, which is in the Fukuoka Prefecture. The new logo for the Pokemon Center Fukuoka branch depicts Pikachu riding on a Latias, while a Latios floats behind them.

Currently, the Pokemon Center in Fukuoka is in the Hakata AMU Plaza Building. However, it will close down on May 12, 2025 to focus on building the new store. When the new store reopens in Hakata Marui, it will have a larger space to accommodate for more customers at a time. The large amount of tourists that Japan sees every year, as well as the worldwide popularity and appeal of Pokemon, likely contribute to the need for more space. The Fukuoka store will re-open up in Summer 2025, with more details to appear later.

Incidentally, when the store re-opens, it will mark the second Pokemon Center in a Marui building. The other one is in Yokohama.

As for why Latios and Latias adorn the new logo, this is likely due to them being legendary Pokemon from the Hoenn region. GameFreak drew inspiration from the Kyushu region when deg Hoenn, and Fukuoka is the largest city in Kyushu. Hoenn’s generation mascot legendaries are Kyogre and Groudon, but the Pokemon Center likely chose Latios and Latias instead due to their “cuter” designs.

The Pokemon Center in Fukuoka will temporarily close down on May 12, 2025 and the new store will open in Hakata Marui some time in Summer 2025. The next Pokemon game to come out is Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which will come out in Fall 2025 for the Nintendo Switch.

pokemon pikachu flower arrangements

For Mother’s Day 2025, the Pokemon Center in Japan will let you show your appreciation for your mom with Pikachu flower arrangements. You can choose either fresh flowers or preserved ones.

Both arrangements feature a flower Pikachu surrounded by pink, red, and white. Decals on the yellow pom pom mum are what makes it look like the Pokemon. So you can’t keep the Pikachu itself forever. However, the pot that the fresh arrangement comes in can be reused as decoration, as it’s a wooden planter with a laser-printed Pikachu design on it. The preserved flowers have a card instead, and can last a year. You should avoid placing it in direct sunlight or in humid places, though. Since they're flowers, The Pokemon Center will only accept domestic orders.

Pre-orders will end on May 1, 2025, and the flowers will ship out from May 7, 2025. The fresh flowers cost 7260 JPY ($48.50), and use carnations and baby’s breath. Meanwhile, the preserved flower arrangement costs 8910 JPY ($59.55), and use carnations, roses, and hydrangea. Aside from differences in the planter, the fresh flowers are much larger, standing at 18 cm. The preserved flower arrangement is only around 11 cm tall.

The newest entry in the Pokemon game series, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, will come out for the Nintendo Switch in Fall 2025.

Pokemon Center Maintenance

The Pokemon Company has announced that the Japanese Pokemon Center Online service will undergo indefinite maintenance. All services provided by the Japanese Pokemon Center Online will be unavailable during this period. The Pokemon Company will share more information as to when the service will resume in the future.

There has been no specific reason as to why the service has been taken down, only that planned maintenance had occurred, and was intended to end on February 28, 2025 at 10AM JST. As mentioned previously, consumers cannot access the Japanese Pokemon Center Online while it is currently undergoing indefinite maintenance. This means consumers cannot purchase or even browse products.

As to when the service will resume, there is no specific time or date. But information will appear on the official Japanese Pokemon Center Online website once things have been sorted. This is also exclusive to the Japanese storefront, as the North American storefront is still active.

The Pokemon Center Online has allowed for consumers to purchase products from Pokemon Center locations online. This, of course, includes Pokemon themed merchandise, like plushes, cutlery, and even gardening tools.

While the Pokemon Center Online service is down, this doesn't mean that consumers can't purchase Pokemon merchandise through other means. For North American consumers, Build-a-Bear has restocked Vaporeon plushes to celebrate Pokemon Day 2025.

pokemon vivillon plushes

The Pokemon Center Japanese Twitter (X) revealed that there will be plushes of Vivillon from Pokemon Generation VI. There will be twenty different variations of Vivillon, to match with the twenty different types of wing patterns there are in the game.

https://twitter.com/pokemoncenterPR/status/1800724738467148028

These Vivillon plushes are part of the Pokemon Fit line of toys. They’re called “Pokemon Fit” because they’re small enough to fit in your hand, and it features Pokemon from all of the different regions. Each push costs 1980 JPY, which would convert to around $17.30. You’ll be able to stat ordering them from the Pokemon Center store from June 13, 2024. However, the North American version of the store does not carry them.

Vivillon first debuted in Pokemon X and Y as the Butterfree clone of that generation. Its wing pattern depends on the real-world geographic location you spawn the Pokemon in. For example, those in Taiwan or Hong Kong would get a Monsoon pattern on their Vivillon. Meanwhile, those in most of Japan would get Elegant. This was likely to encourage trading, especially since as a 3DS game, X and Y could take advantage of services like Street even when you’re abroad.

Pokemon X and Y was on the Nintendo 3DS. The latest mainline entry in the Pokemon series is Scarlet and Violet, which is readily available on the Nintendo Switch. The only type of Vivillon in Scarlet and Violet is the Fancy Pattern unless you send a postcard from Pokemon Go.

paldea pokemon dolls

Four plushes based on Pokemon from the Paldea region will appear in the Pokemon Center in Japan. These dolls are only available in the Japan store.

You’ll be able to get Pokemon plushes based on Charcadet, Grafaiai, Tinkatink, and Palafin (Hero Form). Each doll costs 1650 JPY, which is around $11.60. The Japanese Pokemon Center does not directly offer international shipping though.

So overseas customers will have to use a proxy service of some kind to purchase them. Though they’re now available on the online storefront, you can also get them from brick-and-mortar stores. However, you’ll have to wait until December 23, 2023, for them to appear on the shelves.

These toys are part of the Pokemon Dolls line. They’re soft plushes ranging from 5 to 8 inches, making them easy to hold onto or display. Pokemon Dolls in the Japanese Pokemon Center are different from the ones in the North American one. For example, though both storefronts offer keychain mascots of the Paldean starters, they use different materials for the tag part, as well as different designs.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch. You can also now the paid DLC expansion, The Indigo Disk.

To celebrate the new year, the Pokemon Center Online released Pokemon Year of the Dragon merchandise that features Rayquaza, Horsea, and Pikachu. These ceramic Pokemon figures and ornaments are crafted in collaboration with Yakushigama, best known as a ceramic ware brand produced by Chugai Toen.

The Rayquaza and Pikachu ceramic figurine comes with a pedestal and gold folding screen. Rayquaza is shown holding a small Pikachu in their arms while resting atop clouds. The Rayquaza and Pikachu figurine costs ¥2,860 (~$18 USD) and is currently sold out on the Pokemon Center Online website. The website notes that this latest item in their Pokemon merchandise line is not a bell, so it is not recommended to be shaken.

The Pikachu and Horsea ceramic ornament comes with a red string so it can be hung up, either on a tree or some sort of hook. Pikachu is shown hugging a Horsea in his arms. Inside of the ornament is a small bell which can be gently shaken to make a soft sound. The Pikachu and Horsea ornament costs ¥1,540 (~$10 USD) and is also currently sold out on the Pokemon Center Online website.

This Pokemon Year of the Dragon merchandise designed in collaboration with Yakushigama will be available at the Pokemon Center storefronts in Japan starting December 2, 2023. Each store will have a different process for obtaining one of these ceramic Pokemon items.

Recently, Pokemon collaborated with Tiffany and Co. to release a brand new line of luxury Pokemon jewelry which also featured a Poke Ball design for for the jewelry cases. Takara Tomy is producing a giant Clodsire plush. Pokemon fans can also purchase a reclining chair in the shape of Sizzlipede from the official store. The Pokemon Center online website also just revealed the “1, 2, and… Poof!” toy line featuring 10 different Pokemon as they forget a move.

Pokemon toys 1 2 and poof header

The Pokemon Center in Japan will release a new series of Pokemon toys. The name of the series “1, 2, and... Poof!” is a reference to the text that appears when you make a Pokemon forget a move. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

There are ten variations of “1, 2, and... Poof!” Pokemon toys in total. They cost 990 JPY ($6.75) each. These are only available in the Japan store, as the toys do not appear on the USA version of the Pokemon Center website. The Pokemon that are part of the series are:

  • Bidoof
  • Fuecoco
  • Goomy
  • Lotad
  • Munchlax
  • Pikachu
  • Psyduck
  • Quagsire
  • Slowpoke
  • Wooper (Paldean)

The Pokemon toys all have a blank expression with their mouths open as if they’re surprised. This design is likely meant to evoke the impression that they’re shocked and have forgotten something but can’t what. Despite the series' name, Pokemon in the games do not actually react when you make them forget or learn a move.

These are not the only new pieces of merchandise for the Pokemon series. You can also buy a reclining chair in the shape of Sizzlipede from the official store or a giant Clodsire plush (along with Paldean Wooper dolls) from Takara Tomy. Though jewelry, The Pokemon Company has also recently partnered with Tiffany and Co. to release various necklaces. These will come in a special Tiffany blue Poke Ball box.

The Pokemon "1, 2, and... Poof!" toys are available to order from the Pokemon Center website in Japan.
