Good Smile Company started taking orders for the Pop Up Parade L figure of Morgana from Persona 5 Tactica. It is going to appear in Japan in July 2025, and it is expected to appear in North America in Q4 2025. It will cost ¥8,800/$57.99, which is more than the typical $40 Pop Up Parade collectible due to its increased size.

This version of the Morgana figure is 175mm, which is just under seven inches. However, the Persona 5 mascot himself is much smaller, with the majority of the size stemming from the stand with game logo on the bottom. While this is a Persona 5 Tactica item, Morgana looks exactly like he does in other games like Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Strikers. The base also has the Latin phrase “Si vis pacem, te ipsum vince” from Erina’s polearm on it.

Here’s a closer look at ow the Persona 5 Tactica Morgana Pop Up Parade L figure turned out:

We actually saw another Persona 5 Tactica figure of the character pop up not long ago. However, Good Smile Company wasn’t behind it. Youtooz created ones of Morgana, Joker, and Erina. Those launched in September 2024. Morgana’s pose is more active there, as he’s wielding his slingshot.

The Persona 5 Tactica Pop Up Parade L figure will launch in July 2025 in Japan and Q4 2025 worldwide, and pre-orders close on March 5, 2025. The game is on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

persona 5 tactica keychains

Sun-Star, a stationery brand, and Atlus have teamed up to release keychains of the characters from Persona 5 Tactica. You have until December 1, 2024 to pre-order them and then they’ll ship out in late February 2025.

Each keychain costs 880 JPY after tax, which would convert to $5.75. There are twelve variations, letting you get the Phantom Thief outfits for everyone. The keychain shows them posing while their codename appears next to them. Exceptions are Erina (Elle) and Toshiro, who just appear in their normal outfits.

As a note, you cannot choose which keychain you get. This is like a lottery blind box in which you can purchase a random keyholder, or ten random keyholders to improve your chances of getting who you want. The Persona 5 Tactica keychains are also available via Bandai, which means that you need to be in Japan in order to access the site and order from it. Those outside of Japan may want to use a proxy service of some kind, as this might also guarantee you getting exactly who you want.

Persona 5 Tactica is the spin-off game of the widely popular Persona 5. It takes place within the story of the original game, but the Phantom Thieves have to save an alternate world from war and oppression. Unlike the original’s turn-based RPG elements, Tactica is an SRPG in the vein of the Fire Emblem series or Triangle Strategy.

Persona 5 Tactica is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Bushiroad to produce Palverse figures of Persona 3 hero Yukari and Junpei

Characters from Atlus' Persona 3 and 5 series will get new chibi figures courtesy of Bushiroad. The latter has announced that it will produce new PalVerse and PalVerse Pale figures based on Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica.

Bushiroad made the announcement via its Japanese X dedicated to hobby products. The company first revealed the plans to produce PalVerse figures of Persona 3 Reload characters. This lineup will consist of the game's nameable protagonist, Yukari Takeba, Junpei Iori, Akihiko Sanada, Mitsuru Kirijo, and Aigis.

The company also made a separate announcement for the PalVerse Pale figure of Persona 3 Reload's protagonist. While the above regular PalVerse figures will simply appear on their own, PalVerse Pale will add a palette-shaped base with paint effects.

https://twitter.com/bushi_hobby_jp/status/1808788087436366064

In addition, Bushiroad also revealed plans to produce PalVerse Pales for the Persona 5 Tactica version of Joker, as well as the title debutant Erina—who is alternatively known in Japan as Elle.

There have been many chibi figures modeled after characters from the Persona series—especially the third, fourth, and fifth mainline entries. Good Smile Company had earlier released Nendoroids of Persona 5 characters. The company also revealed QSet+ figures featuring protagonists of the three aforementioned entries.

The PalVerse and PalVerse Pale figures of characters from Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica are under production. Bushiroad will announce the release dates for the figures at a later time.

Haru Is Best Girl in Persona 5 Tactica 1

All of the characters in the Persona 5 games are pretty great in their own ways, and in the past I’d always considered folks like Makoto and Goro to be my favorites. However, as I went through Persona 5 Tactica, I kept coming back to Haru and realized how in so many situations, she was the absolute best.

Simply put, the range of abilities Haru possesses makes her one of the best characters in Persona 5 Tactica. In so many ways, Haru shows herself to be an absolutely exemplary party member. To start, her guns have a fantastic area of effect attack due to them being grenade launchers. (This is the same type she uses in the mainline games.) So when she’s hitting foes, she has the potential to deal a substantial amount of damage to a whole horde.

This is further bolstered by the buff she provides to the team when she’s around. She’s one of the folks who provides an attack boost. She has an additional two upgrades to this in her tree, making her and everyone else around more devastating.

Pair this with Milady’s Psi attacks, which have the Hypno effect, and it really makes Haru one of the most valuable team . Investing heavily in the Mapsi line is great, since the status effect forces a group of foes out of cover and closer together. While that might not line up a One More for her, it does set things up well for her allies. All combined, it means she’s a fantastic person for any map where the goal is to defeat every enemy. Her Voltage attack with her Persona also features this same sort of ability, even with the lowest level Noble Lady’s Invitation.

But it isn’t just the fact that she’s good at dealing damage to a group, potentially getting lots of enemies out of cover at once, and increasing all allies’ damage just by existing. She’s one of the party who can heal others. The first healing skill you can unlock is Diamrita, which is a substantial heal and cleanse for a single ally. While it isn’t going to hit a group, it’s a perfect saving grace in many situations.

There’s only one way in which Haru fell behind the other Phantom Thieves. Her movement is one of the lowest in the game. She’s set at four, just behind Ann with five. Considering others tend to have six, it’s a noticeable weakness! However, it’s really only a problem in the case of maps involving reaching a specific point by X number of turns. That lower movement speed gets a bit frustrating there unless you can work out One-Mores, and it’s easy enough to just… let her sit that fight out. Not to mention she does have a Lightning Speed ive that will boost that by two squares when she’s in a Charged state. Plus if you upgrade so she gets the Spring Storm ive, that increases her ranged attack’s range to help mitigate that too.

Haru is just a fantastic character for players to use in Persona 5 Tactica, and she’s one of the best allies. She works in pretty much any party. She’s also great in most situations. As long as you don’t need to get her from one end of a map to another fast, it feels like she should be a staple.

Persona 5 Tactica is available for the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Persona 5 Tactica SRPG

In a recent interview, the developers of Persona 5 Tactica talked about adapting the series to the SRPG genre. They also discussed the reason for choosing that genre and their experience developing the Atlus title. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Persona 5 Tactica is the first strategy RPG in the Persona series. Composer Toshiki Konishi also noted that it is the first Atlus simultaneous worldwide release on multiple platforms. Director Naoya Maeda said that the development of Persona 5 Tactica lasted approximately four years.

Business Producer Atsushi Nomura said that the developers wanted to focus on showing the Phantom Thieves acting as a team when they started the project. The developers then concluded that the most appropriate genre to deliver the feeling would be a strategy RPG.

Since some of the development team weren’t fans of strategy RPGs due to their perceived high difficulty and the time-consuming element of leveling and managing so many different units, Maeda revealed that a lot of effort went into streamlining some of the game's most challenging elements, while maintaining the sense of progressing and growing each playable unit.

Maeda added that a turning point in the development of Persona 5 Tactica to make the game feel different from other SRPGs and emphasize elements of the Persona series was the implementation of the Triple Threat mechanic. Another cited element was the inclusion of free-form movement of the playable characters during their turn instead of selecting units and tiles for movement.

When asked about composing for an SRPG, composer Toshiki Konishi said that it was drastically different from composing for a more traditional RPG. Furthermore, they added variations to the tracks for each battle stage because they wanted to adapt to the player’s emotions as the game's story progressed.

Persona 5 Tactica is now available for the Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
