Good Smile Company will re-run the scale figure of Ann Takamaki as she appears in Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight. Pre-orders are open until July 31, 2024.

Those in Japan will have to pay 19,800 JPY for her, and she’ll come out in December 2024. Meanwhile, the North American store actually has her in stock, so there’s no need to wait. This will be a final sale though, and you won’t be able to refund or cancel it. Those who want to buy it from the North American store will have to pay $116.99. As a reminder, Good Smile Company only ships to Canada and the United States due to geographical licensing restrictions.

The Ann Takamaki Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight figure is a 1/7 scale that stands at approximately 210 millimeters in height. She originally came out in 2022. This version of Ann looks like a street dancer. She’s wearing a cap, a short skirt, fishnet stockings, fingerless gloves, and a crop top sweater. Her stand will also depict the logo of the game. Unlike in the normal version, she has some red highlights in her hair.

Sega announced that the figure of Morgana from Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight will return, and will be available as a prize at various Sega Plaza locations throughout Japan. The figure will start appearing in stores from the second week of April 2024. [Thanks, Dengeki Hobby!]

The figure depicts Morgana in his Metaverse appearance, while wearing the dancing clothes he sports in the P5D rhythm game spin-off alongside a golden crown. It is approximately 10cm wide and 16cm tall. The figure originally released in 2019 and it is returning as a prize after being unavailable for a long period of time.

A similar mini figure of Morgana also appears as part of one of the two Persona 5 Kotobukiya figures of Joker from Persona 5 and P5D that will be re-released in May and June 2024. Additionally, Good Smile Company recently opened pre-orders for the new Persona 5 Nendoroid figure of Joker in his Shujin Academy outfit.

Atlus announced that the Persona 5 series has hit a major milestone after selling 10 million units worldwide. To celebrate the occasion, series character designer Shigenori Soejima drew a new piece of art depicting Joker and Morgana thanking fans for their .

To continue the celebration of the Persona 5 series shipping over 10 million units, Atlus also shared a new series of Persona winter commercials featuring Japanese actors Haruna Kawaguchi and Jun Shison as the official brand ambassadors.

The first commercial shows the actors walking across various urban scenarios while the songs “Aria of the Soul,” “Rivers in the Desert” from Persona 5, and "Throw Away Your Mask" from Persona 5 Royal play in the background.

The various commercials use the slogan “Persona is Another Me” and aim to promote Persona 5 Royal, the recently released Persona 5 Tactica, and the Persona 3 Reload remake of the original PS2 title.

The P5 series started with the original Persona 5, which was released on September 15, 2016, in Japan and overseas on April 4, 2017, for the PS3 and PS4. The franchise continued with the rhythm spin-off Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight and the critically acclaimed Persona 5 Royal remake in 2019.

Finally, the series recently got two sequel spin-offs with Persona 5 Strikers in 2020 and 2023's Persona 5 Tactica, available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Kotobukiya and Atlus announced two ARTFX J Persona 5 Joker figures by Kotobukiya will be reproduced in Japan. The first is a protagonist scale figure featuring Joker in his Phantom Thief outfit, and the second is of him in his Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight attire. Pre-orders for the first are available now until November 21, 2023. That figure will be released in May 2024. It will cost 15,950 yen ($106.46). Pre-orders for the second will last until December 14, 2023. The planned release window is June 2024. It costs 18,150 yen ($121.13). Both of them are available on the Kotobukiya online store.

The ARTFX J Persona 5 Protagonist Joker scale figure is a 1/8 reproduction of the main character in a running pose. In the figure, Joker can hold both his mask as well as his handgun. It also features a base that resembles cracked glass.

Persona is a series that's done super well for Atlus over the years. Basically, a Shin Megami Tensei spin-off turned into an IP that is more recognizable to some than the original RPGs that spawned it. This does mean it might seem a bit overwhelming to hop into the series. Especially since there are numbered installments and spin-offs. However, it's all really quite approachable, and it isn't too difficult to jump in if you're wondering how to start playing through the Persona games.

How to Play the Mainline Persona Games in Order 1d4f3o

First, here is the full list of Persona games. Only certain entries really should be played in order.

You should play Revelations: Persona/SMT Persona before Persona 2: Innocent Sin, then Innocent Sin before Eternal Punishment. There are overarching elements that all tie together here, as well as recurring characters.

With the later Persona games, it’s best to start with a Persona 3 entry, then move on to Persona 4 and 5. However, all three are completely self-contained, so you don’t have to play them all in order or worry about losing context if you only choose to go through one.

• Persona 2: Innocent Sin (PSX, PSP) - The PSX version only appeared in Japan.

• Persona 4 (PS2) or Persona 4 Golden (PS4, Switch, Vita, Xbox One, XSX, PC) - Go with Persona 4 Golden here, as it is the easiest to find and features the most lore and gameplay.
• Persona 5 (PS3, PS4) or Persona 5 Royal (PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, XSX, PC) - Persona 5 Royal is the smart choice here, as it’s available on more platforms and includes additional story elements.

Okay, this isn’t too tricky. Mainly, because only one line of spin-offs actually has a consistent story to it. Even though the Dancing and Q games are considered sequels, there’s no overarching story.

These are essentially Persona takes on the Etrian Odyssey dungeon-mapping formula. Each installment is self-contained. So play the original if you only like the Persona 3 and 4 characters, and go into Persona Q2 if you like the Persona 3, 4 and 5 folks. The sequel does build on mechanics, so you may want to go with that second if you play both.

It will now be easier for people to get the Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight Ann "Panther" Tamaki figure outside of Japan. Good Smile Company announced pre-orders are open for it in its North American storefront. It is part of its Partner Products segment. It costs $152.99 and is expected to ship in November 2023.

As a reminder, Phalaeno is the company behind this Persona 5 Dancing Ann figure. It opened pre-orders in Japan back in December 2022. At the time, it would cost ¥22,000 (~$163) to get.

Since its announcement, a number of other opportunities to get a better look at the figure appeared. For example, AmiAmi shared a video showing off Ann from different angles.

This isn't Ann's default costume in Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight. In-game, you first need to complete the “Last Surprise" song in order to unlock the ability to get it. However in October 2021, a figure of Ann in her default costume did appear. That was released by Good Smile Company proper and is a standard scale figure. There have also been numerous Nendoroids, figmas, and other figures of both her and other of the cast over the years.

Persona 5 Dancing is available for the PS4 and Vita. This new Ann Tamaki Persona 5 figure will appear in North America in November 2023.

Manufacturer Phalaeno's figure of Ann Takamaki from Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight will be available for purchase soon. The company announced that pre-orders will go live on December 16, 2022. With tax, the figure will cost 22,000 yen (about $163).

Prototype images of the in-development figure were first shown back in March 2022. The figure has Ann striking her signature in-game pose while wearing her corset dress outfit. The outfit itself features a red leather corset and shorts with black accents. Size dimensions have not yet been shared.

Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight is a rhythm game originally released in 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game stars the Phantom Thieves of Hearts as they dance their way through locations from the original game. It features 25 fan-favorite songs from Persona 5, including several brand-new remixes.

In other recent P5D news, iam8bit will be bringing the game’s soundtrack to vinyl. It will release alongside vinyl soundtracks for Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 4: Dancing All Night. Each one is available to purchase separately, as is a bundle featuring all three vinyl soundtracks.

Back in 2021, iam8bit released the Persona 25th Anniversary Deluxe LP vinyl set. The new Persona Dancing collection includes remixes and new versions of the familiar tracks found in the original games, created especially for the Persona Dancing rhythm game spin-offs. Persona 4: Dancing All Night originally came out for the PlayStation Vita on September 29, 2015. A PlayStation 4 port released later on December 4, 2018, coinciding with the releases of Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

The Sega Sammy Japanese Annual Integrated Report 2022 appeared, and it included updates on various IPs' performance. Among them is a specific Shin Megami Tensei spin-off series update. When it comes to all Persona 5 games, including spin-offs like Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, the latest sales figures are over 7.22 million.

The Persona 5 games sales figures showed up on page 10 of the report. It noted that the Persona 5, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, and Persona 5 Scramble numbers added up to 7.22 million copies worldwide. This figure didn’t include the new Persona 5 Royal ports available on the Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. It only factored in sales of those four games up until March 2022.

The announcement also offered a window into who purchased the Persona 5 games and spin-offs. It noted only 23% of those sales came from Japan. The other 77% were from other countries.

On page 23 of the report, a general Persona series sales update appeared. It noted that there have been over 15.5 million copies sold so far across every entry. In that section, Shin Megami Tensei was listed as its own series with over 19 million in sales.

As a reminder, there are other Persona 5 “games” coming from Sega Sammy. In September 2022, the Persona 5 Pachislot appeared. There’s also a Persona 5 for Reels slot machine.

Persona 5 Royal is available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC worldwide.

Japanese figure manufacturer Phalaeno shared new images of a prototype Ann Takamaki figure based on her appearance in Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight. The figure is in development, with an unspecified release date and price.

Specifically, the figure is based on Ann's corset dress from Dancing in Starlight. The figure also has Ann in the same pose as she appears in-game. In addition to a detailed leather-like corset and long boots, the figure also features stockings made of realistic fishnet material. While the prototype is unpainted, the final product will likely have her appear in red and black.

Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight was a spin-off rhythm game released for the PS4 and PlayStation Vita in 2018. A new 1/7th Makoto Niijima scale figure is ready to dance into people’s hearts. Literally, as it is a Persona 5 Dancing figure. Amakuni announced that character will be sold through Hobby Japan and ship sometime in either July or August 2021. It’ll cost ¥14,850 (~$142).  [Thanks, Persona Central!]

The final version of the figure isn’t available yet. However, Amakuni released an array of pictures taken of the painted Makoto figure’s prototype. She’s wearing the grey shirt with black paint splotches and tear held together by safety pins and black, grey, and red plaid skirt that is her main costume in Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight. The studded belt and collar are also recreated, and she’s wearing red gloves and crimson boots. The finished figure will be nine inches tall.

Makoto is one of many Persona 5 Dancing figures that have been announced or appeared since the game’s 2018 debut. The first came from Kotobukiya, which released a figure of Joker with Morgana in June 2019. Good Smile Company’s Ann Takamaki figure will appear in October 2021. 

Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight is available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita worldwide. The Makoto Persona 5 Dancing figure will debut in Japan sometime between July and August 2021, with pre-orders available until December 15, 2020.

One of the Persona 5 Ann figures we last saw way back at Wonder Festival 2020 Winter finally has a release date. The Animaru Persona 5 Dancing Ann figure from Phat! Company and Good Smile Company will show up in October 2021 in Japan and November 2021 in North America. Pre-orders are open for it at Good Smile Company’s store until November 25, 2020.

This Ann figure is a 1/7th scale model and costs $175.99. She’s wearing her default costume from Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, and she even has real fabric fishnets on. She’s also a little bit customizable. While you can’t change her pose, her hat is removable and you can take it off when you have her displayed. The red, translucent base for the figure has Morgana and the game’s logo on it.

The pose should look familiar. It’s based on the key visual for Ann for the game. It even appeared in the Japan Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight trailer introducing her.

The Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight soundtracks will be released on June 24, 2020. There will be two editions fans can get their hands on. Now with a noticeable difference between the two versions, you must be wondering why that is? The Advanced CD Collector's Box not only comes with both the Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight soundtracks, but it also includes a special blu-ray. This special blu-ray disc is the recorded performance of the “History’s Strongest Fight Between Sisters” event. Additionally, the Collector's Box will come with the four disc soundtrack that was included with the limited editions of Dancing in Moonlight and Dancing in Starlight.

For fans interested in the standard Advanced CD version, this edition will only come with two discs. However, it will include the full versions of both opening songs. Additionally, remixes of the games songs will be included as well. All of this is of course included in the Advanced CD Collector's Box version.

Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight are rhythm games that are set in the Persona universe. Remixes of favorite songs are available for fans to listen to as they play through the game. Similarly to the mainline titles, players can deepen their bond with respective characters with the "Social" feature. The North American and European release of this game also features dual audio.

Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight are currently available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

When Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight were released in Japan, they were accompanied by an array of accessories, costumes, and extra songs. These add-ons will be available in batches, with the European release dates set for December 4, 2018 and December 11, 2018. Since there is a lot to go through and many specifics, Atlus released an official update to go through various bundle options and what people need to know before purchasing certain sets of DLC.

On December 4, 2018, people will be able to get songs and accessories. The announcement noted that the Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight Songs Bundles and Accessories Bundles will each be available then. Every Song Season will be $24.99/€24.99, while each Accessory Season will be $19.99/€24.99. When it comes to Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, people have options. They could grab the PlayStation Vita versions of the games and enjoy the games anywhere they want. They could get the PlayStation 4 versions and sit and enjoy them at home. Both are fun rhythm games, even if they are a bit more rudimentary than Persona 4: Dancing All Night, and each one has benefits that might make them a better fit for certain people.

Yes, you might have better speakers with your big screen and the characters’ performances may seem better, but it is evident that the Persona Dancing series was created with the PlayStation Vita in mind. Persona 4: Dancing All Night showed it. And the layout of the indicators and inclusion of scratch notes shows it. The PlayStation 4 version gives you options with these games, letting you hit scratch notes with the analog sticks, touchpad, or trigger buttons, but it feels more natural and easier to do so with the PlayStation Vita’s touchscreen. There is less stretching and it is easier to perform the swipes needed while hitting notes.

The presentation is also easier to appreciate in the Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight PlayStation Vita versions. Things are tidy and right in front of your face. Think of it as being similar to playing a Hatsune Miku game on the handheld, as opposed to the PlayStation 4. It works on both, but there is a luxury that comes from having it in your hands. Especially since you can pop on headphones and easily get into the beat and focus on what is in front of you.

Don’t take this to mean that the PlayStation 4 version is somehow subpar. Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight look amazing on a big screen. I feel like you can really appreciate the movements and the more elaborate videos present in some of the songs. The DualShock 4 is more comfortable to hold and use for the standard inputs, and someone can easily unlock the custom mode that lets you have the game automatically hit those otherwise troublesome scratch notes for you.

The PlayStation 4 versions of Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight also tend to be a bit more novel. I’m speaking about the PlayStation VR . You can look at characters dressed up in their outfits. It is a neat little option for folks who have the peripheral. Also, it can be much easier to capture screenshots, share them on social media, and record your performances with that Share functionality.

No matter which platform you choose for Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight or Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, there are things Persona fans will enjoy. Also, there is cross-save , which means you could get both versions of the game and still carry over your progress. Each game is basically the same, with the classic Persona 3 and Persona 5 songs and the characters you know and possibly love. Each one will offer something to enjoy.
