During the first anniversary stream for Persona 5: The Phantom X, it was announced that the game will appear on Steam. It’s likely that when the game appears in English outside of regions like China, we will be able to it via Steam as well.

The information comes near the end of the stream, at around the 58:50 minute mark. The stream did not mention whether the game would be compatible with the Steam Deck. As for the rest of the stream, Perfect World discussed topics such as anniversary rewards, as well as what players can expect to see in the patch, Version 4.0.

Atlus Sound Team and Lyn also released a new song for Persona 5: The Phantom X. It’s called “Show Stealer” and it will serve as the new opening for the game. You can watch it here:

Persona 5: The Phantom X is a Chinese free-to-play gacha spin-off of Atlus’s Persona 5. Like P5, it’s a combination between social simulation and a turn-based RPG dungeon crawler. Though a closed beta for the game appeared in Japan, there’s no information on when the game will come out for regions outside of China.

The Animax Cafe + will hold a Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5: The Phantom X collaboration event from January 24, 2025 to February 26, 2025. More information on the menu items and exclusive merchandise will appear at a later date.

The promotional image for the Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5: The Phantom X Sweets Paradise cafe shows ten characters in total. From Royal, we have: Joker, Morgana, Ryuji, Ann, and Yusuke. Meanwhile, from The Phantom X, there’s: Wonder, Ruferu, Motoha, Shun, and Riko. They’re wearing their school uniforms and Phantom Thief outfits, though. Sometimes, Sweets Paradise collaborations feature the characters in different clothing than they usually appear in.

Sweets Paradise collaboration cafes usually have special food and drinks based on various characters from the respective intellectual properties. As well, you’ll be able to purchase goods like acrylic standees or bromides. Even if you don’t want to pay for something, Sweets Paradise normally gives customers an exclusive coaster if they decide to order a drink. So if you go, you should be able to return with an item to the visit by.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is a gacha spin-off of Persona 5 by Perfect World Entertainment. The Japanese beta test for it ran until December 5, 2024. There’s no information on when testing will begin for the global English community.

Atlus and Perfect World Entertainment announced that a new Persona 5: The Phantom X live announcement program will be broadcast on December 20, 2024 at 8pm JST. The companies will share the results of the recent Japanese closed beta test survey and future plans for the game. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Persona 5: The Phantom X Chief Producer Yosuke Uda will appear alongside other development as part of the new live broadcast, and Neki Matsuzawa will be the host. The rest of the developers appearing in the Persona 5: The Phantom X broadcast are Main Scenario Planner Yusuke Nitta, Development Producer Jun Matsunaga, and Sega Operations Director on P5X Yuta Sakai.

The developers are also accepting questions that will be answered during the livestream, via X (Twitter) and Discord. Additionally, a merchandise goods giveaway campaign will be held on the Japanese official X (Twitter) the day of the broadcast.

Atlus and Perfect World have posted some guidelines regarding fan content and gameplay s for Persona 5: The Phantom X. You can read both guidelines on the official website for the game.

Both guidelines are very similar to ones for other games, such as the streaming rules and restrictions for Persona 5 Royal. When ing content, you should make sure that you’re not posting anything with spoilers, since this could rob other people’s opportunity to enjoy the story on their own. Atlus and Perfect World also restrict ing music and voice clips of the game for the express purpose of simply listening to them. You can’t anything that may infringe on other companies’ copyrights, slander or insult others, or cause damage to Atlus and Perfect World’s reputations. Finally, you can’t mod gameplay.

The following guidelines for fan content only apply to Japan. Outside of ones dealing with money, they’re common sense rules that are pretty universal in fandoms though. You can’t make anything socially inappropriate, or anything that insults or distresses others. Like with the above rules for social media s, you can’t post anything damaging to the companies’ reputation, or anything implying mod usage. Finally, you can’t post or sell anything that uses content directly from the game.

Hotta Studio announced a new game called Neverness to Everness, with pre-registration available now. Several trailers and a website are also online, though a release date has yet to be announced for the PC, mobile, and "console" game.

Set in the city of Hethereau, Neverness to Everness is billed as a supernatural open-world RPG. While details are sparse on the official site, Hotta Studio released a gameplay trailer that shows action combat that will be familiar to anyone who played Tower of Fantasy, the studio's previous game. Drivable and customizable vehicles seem to also play a large part. At one point the player appears to purchase property from an estate group, which may suggest player housing will be in the game.

There is currently no indication regarding which consoles the game will launch on, though the site mentions PCs and mobile devices. Hotta Studio released Tower of Fantasy on the PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. To pre- for the game, click the "Book Now! Reserve Now!" poster on the official site.

Hotta Studio's previous game Tower of Fantasy is currently running on multiple platforms and receiving regular updates. This includes a collaboration event with the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise in 2024, which featured a playable version of Rei Ayanami wielding a hi-tech bow and arrow.

Neverness to Everness pre-registration is open for PCs, consoles, and mobile devices, however no release date has been revealed as of yet.

The official Tower of Fantasy Twitter (X) has posted a trailer for the game’s collaboration event with Neon Genesis Evangelion, with Rei Ayanami taking the main stage. Rei will appear in the game from March 28, 2024.

In Tower of Fantasy, Rei fights with a bow and can shoot energy arrows, which is not something that she could do in the original Neon Genesis Evangelion. She can also summon her Unit-00 to attack enemies, as well as to activate its AT Field. You can unlock Rei as a simulacra for your characters during the event, much like how you can play as a simulacra version of Asuka.

Hotta Studio first announced its Neon Genesis Evangelion crossover event in early December 2023. During this time, we knew that Shinji, Rei, and Asuka would be prominent characters in the event, and that there would be a limited story, as well as exclusive costumes and mounts. Other items you can get during this event include the hair accessory that all Evangelion candidates wear, Asuka’s eyepatch, and a Pen Pen pet.

Tower of Fantasy is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. The Neon Genesis Evangelion event will end on April 29, 2024.

Perfect World announced the dates for the third closed beta of Persona 5: The Phantom X. Applications are open from January 3 to 12, 2024, and then the test will start on January 16, 2024.

The closed beta test will run from January 16-31, 2024. Players who get in will be able to the client on January 15, 2024. As for the platforms, the game will be available on Android and iOS devices, as well as on Windows PC. Some differences between this test and the previous ones include a playable Morgana. He wasn’t available in the original test, which was in August 2023.

During the second closed beta test, you’ll get a chance to recruit and use Shun Kanou. He had previously appeared as an NPC in the first one. However, you’ll get to actually control him as a Persona this time. You’ll also meet Li Yaoling, who is a mysterious transfer student from China. She is also a Persona , as we can see from her All-Out Attack cut-in. There are also some familiar faces, such as Skull and Mona, in it. As a reminder, the previous cast of Persona 5 will also be in The Phantom X.

You have until August 14, 2023 to apply for the Awakening Test, which will then run from August 18-25, 2023. Perfect World Games will reach out to you on August 17, 2023 to tell you if they accepted you. You will need to have a TapTap UID in order to apply.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is in development for mobile devices. It is unclear if it will appear worldwide. However, seeing as the English Perfect World Games made a Tweet about it, it seems that there is a possibility for a global release.

According to an announcement on Bilibili, a playable demo of Persona 5 X will be available at ChinaJoy 2023. If you pre- for the game, you’ll be able to get free goods of the game, though it’s unclear what they are. There will also be exclusive events at the convention.

Persona 5 X, or Persona 5: The Phantom X, will be a spin-off of Atlus’s Persona 5 series. It’ll feature a new protagonist and party , as well as the idea of Persona II s. Characters from the original series, such as Joker, will also make appearances in Persona 5 X as party . Some more information has come out about Persona 5: The Phantom X, including a second beta test, a new playable character (Shun Kanou), and Wonder’s Japanese voice actor. You will be able to see it all in the new trailer. The second beta test for the game will start in Q3 2023. Pre-registration is open, but it’s still unclear when to expect the final version of the game.

For starters, Koki Uchiyama will voice Wonder, the main protagonist, in Persona 5: The Phantom X. Uchiyama has had a long and prolific career since his childhood. Aside from appearing as Roxas and Ventus in the Kingdom Hearts series, he’s been Tsukishima in Haikyuu, Razor in Genshin Impact, Meruem in Hunter x Hunter, and Shiragaki in My Hero Academia.

The new Persona 5: The Phantom X trailer (which we can watch via Taptap) also focuses on the party member Shun Kanou. Despite his cold looks and brusque attitude, he has his own sense of justice. Due to this personality, he falls into a trap that a more prominent member of society sets. It’s likely that Wonder and the other Phantom Thieves have to rescue him. Some of the scenes from the trailer seemed to also show characters that Perfect World has not shown in previous promotional materials. So it seems like this game will have a larger playable cast than the original Persona 5 games.

Perfect World Games showed off some of the party who will be in Persona 5: The Phantom X. Previously, it revealed three of the main characters, as well as your Velvet Room assistant, Merope. The new party are people who have some sort of notable public-facing identity and use the power of Persona II to fight against Shadows. [Thanks, Persona Central!]

Like Persona 3, these characters’ Personae draw inspiration from Greek mythology. This is in contrast to the three that Perfect World had previously appeared. For reference, the other ones are Jánošík (a Slovakian Robin Hood figure), Rob Roy (Scottish outlaw and folk hero), and Awilda (female pirate). It is unclear what “Persona II” is and how it’s different from normal Personae.

Soejima, who designed the characters for the original Persona 5 games, is the designer for this one as well. Persona 5: The Phantom X appears to be a mobile spin-off of Persona 5, featuring a new cast and development studio. Old V, who is the producer of the game, stated that Perfect World created P5X in order to bring the charm of Persona 5 to more players through a mobile platform.

A short trailer for the Persona: Phantom of the Night mobile game is available on the official Weibo page. If you have a VPN, you must turn it off before accessing it. The page will not load if your VPN is active. The trailer, which is almost four minutes long and available from Weibo or the official site, shows off the main characters and gameplay.

For those who have played Persona 5 or Royal, a lot of the scenes are likely very familiar. It uses the same map of Tokyo, as well as many of the same assets from the game. We can see the main character, a girl named Arai who sits in front of the protagonist (like Ann does), and a strange owl-like creature (like Morgana). The owl’s name is Lufer and, like Morgana, he can transform into a car when they explore Mementos. Iwai will return as the weapons dealer, and there is a quick shot of Takemi walking behind the main character. The story will still center on immoral adults and the Persona s who enter their hearts to rehabilitate them. As well, the battle system will incorporate elements from Royal, such as Baton .

Beta testing for the game has opened up and will last until March 29, 2023. Perfect World, the developer behind Persona: Phantom of the Night, previously announced that it was working on a Persona-based mobile game in April 2021. Perfect World is a Chinese-based company known for its Perfect World series of MMORPGs and, recently, Tower of Fantasy. Persona: Phantom of the Night appears to be one that you can play on its own though.

Perfect World Entertainment announced that it is working on a mobile game known only as Code Name: X for an unspecified JRPG property, however it appears to be part of the Persona series. Specifically, it seems connected to Persona 5 due to environmental assets, character profiles, and music. The game is still in development and only has a confirmed China release date. Though some people on Twitter have expressed their doubts that Code Name X is a Persona mobile game due to Atlus’s silence, Daniel “ZhugeEX” Ahmad did clarify in another Tweet that Perfect World Entertainment confirmed that it is indeed based on Persona. As well, the character profile for "???" uses the terminology "palace of distorted desires."

You can pre- for the game and keep up with new information from the official website. As an aside, the website looks best on mobile. It also does not seem to connect if your VPN is running. So far, there is only information about the two characters from the trailer.

Perfect World Entertainment is a Chinese-based company known for the Perfect World series of MMORPGs. They have also created games for other IPs in the past, such as Neverwinter and Final Fantasy Type-0 Online.

Code Name X is still early in development. Perfect World Entertainment only announced a China release and has not yet officially confirmed on its own channels if this mobile game is based on Persona.

Playing Torchlight 3 on the PS4 with a friend was a very enjoyable experience. I also enjoyed playing the game with a friend before the release date, though that experience was rife with glitches, rather than loot. There’s a nearly identical single-player mode, too, but players can’t use it to level-up their multiplayer character. Playing in that way was, at best, a way to some time. I guess what I’m saying is Torchlight 3 is a bit like a drinking game for me; it’s relatively simple and far less joyous on single-player. Which means the value of the game, as a whole, can vary depending on your preferred method of play.

The game entered Early Access back in June 2020 and, ittedly, four months isn’t a whole lot of time to respond to player . Those who found the game’s systems too straightforward back then might be disappointed to discover that the optimal builds from Early Access are largely the clear-cut winners today too. It’s rare to find a well-balanced challenge in Torchlight 3, which might be off-putting to challenge-seeking action RPG fans, as the genre is famously saturated with games designed to scratch that itch.

On the other hand, one of Torchlight 3’s greatest strengths is conceivably a byproduct of its simplicity. The most important choice players face comes when they create their players. To do so, they select which one of four classes they’d like to combine with one of five relics. That’s technically twenty potential playstyle options, but a quick glance at the class and relic skill trees is all it takes to chart an optimal course forward. By all means, players can wander down any path they want, but it is going to be pretty difficult to forget that the path less traveled is less traveled for a reason.

The clear-cut routes lead to character growth that can be felt on an almost level-to-level basis. Combined with the intrinsically exciting nature of randomized loot drops, there is enough at play to keep the incremental steps between milestones engaging in their own right. It’s a pace and design that will be familiar to people who have played their share of free-to-play mobile titles and gacha games. It can work, though. The truth is that some of us are just wired to casually open Skinner boxes and chase tasty but evasive stick-mounted carrots with our good buds. Torchlight 3 is more than capable of scratching that particular itch, for sure.

Typically, a well-told story fills this role in games for me. I love when characters open up to one another on the hikes between their story goals. It’s a good thing that gaining levels fills that role in Torchlight 3, because there is scarcely a trace of character growth or plot development across the game’s three acts.

That said, Torchlight 3’s developers have managed to imbue its player classes with an incredible amount of personality. Visually, the world and enemies are moderately interesting, but you’d be forgiven for overlooking the enthusiastic and violent squads of jumping goblins because you were too busy staring at a player character that, at times, can look a lot like some kind of gun-toting potbelly stove in a minecart. That’s not hyperbole and it’s not even Torchlight 3’s coolest character; that award goes to the hammer-swinging Railmaster who battles enemies with the help of his noble companion, a literal train. Even the game’s least interesting class would fare well in comparison to the choices available in most other ARPGs. The game’s least interesting class, by the way, is a wizard who commands a rare combination of holy and unholy energy.

The skill trees in Torchlight 3 are a microcosm of the game in general; it only takes a moment to see its potential. As an RPG, it’s full of options, but there’s never a compelling reason to veer from the railroad. The issue I ran into is that I was eventually able to extrapolate and predict hours of my life, randomly generated items notwithstanding. In of leveling, questing, and shopping, I knew what choices I’d be making far in advance. I did play a five-hour-long session that was mostly salvaged by the fact that I was discovering tons of legendary items while my friend acquired only one, but even that kind of absurd disparity and the boasting it facilitates eventually gives way to monotony.

Before you know it, you might just end up talking about your workday or the news. Which, don’t get me wrong, is a perfectly fine way to spend an evening. Unfortunately for Torchlight 3, talking to friends is something people have managed to do for free for quite a while now.

Torchlight 3 is almost ready to leave Early Access. The game has a release date, and it’ll be almost everywhere on October 13, 2020. That’s when people will see it on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

There’s one version absent from that list, and that’s the Switch one. As noted during the August 2020 Nintendo Indie World video, the game is on the way in Fall 2020. It will even have its own exclusive Fairy pet. It just won’t be out at the same time as the other versions.

Also, to be fair, each version of Torchlight 3 has a fairy pet. There’s just a different cosmetic option in each one. So the Nintendo Switch’s one is an Ashen Glittersprite, as an example, which will gray. Since the PlayStation 4’s is an Azure Glittersprite, it will be blue. (The PC one is Violet and the Xbox One one is Verdant.)

With that final version will come a price bump. At the moment, people can get the Early Access version of the game, which launched back in June 2020, for $29.99. When the full version appears, it will cost $39.99. 

Torchlight 3 will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 13, 2020. The Nintendo Switch version is in development and will launch in 2020 too.
