Bandai Namco set the US release dates for the new mainline Tamagotchi Paradise and the spin-off Peanuts Nano virtual pet starring Snoopy. Both debut on August 1, 2025. The mainline, color system with a crank costs $44.99, and Amazon pre-orders are open for all three colors. The Nano with a silicone case shaped like a doghouse is $32.99, with Amazon also taking pre-orders for it.

This does mean there’s about a one month gap between the Japanese and US releases for all of these devices. The Peanuts Tamagotchi Nano with Snoopy debuts in Japan on July 12, 2025, as do the three Paradise models. 

In the case of the Nano, this is a barebones variant of the virtual pet. There’s no color screen. You can’t connect to the internet. It is only about 4cm tall. You raise Snoopy, which can evolve into different variants of the character based on your care. Others will appear as cameos. The three minigames in it are Beagle Scouts, Snoopy’s Suppertime, and Write the Great American Novel.

With the new mainline models, they’re much larger at over 3in. The idea is you can turn the crank to zoom in and out on a world. 12 species of character are present, with 50 characters to start, and you can breed them in your device or by connecting with someone else’s to create variants by mixing genes. There are more varied minigames and experiences in it than in a Nano model.

Here’s how the three Paradise visual pet variants look:

Both the Peanuts Tamagotchi Nano starring Snoopy and the three Paradise variants will launch in the US on August 1, 2025, with Bandai Namco’s Amazon storefront being the first outlet with pre-orders open.

Hanshin Electric Railway published the exclusive merchandise that’ll be at the Magical Christmas Night 2024 Snoopy concert in December 2024. Performances will take place in Hyogo, Hokkaido, and Tokyo. [Thanks, PR Times!]

These goods are only available at the concert hall. This means that, unlike with goods like figures and such, overseas fans won't be able to purchase them. Granted, Japanese fans won't be able to either unless they go to the concert. The merchandise for the Snoopy Christmas concert are:

• Acrylic keyholders: 1300 JPY each (4 variations)
• Cloth bag: 1700 JPY
• Compact mirror: 1600 JPY
• Miniature towel: 1500 JPY (for two)
• T-shirt: 5800 JPY each
• Tote bag: 3900 JPY

All of the goods feature a similar design to this year’s banner. It depicts Snoopy dancing next to a Christmas tree that resembles a musical score. The tree itself is the score sheet while the ornaments are the notes. Charlie Brown and Schroeder are present as well.

This will be the fifth Billboard Classics and Snoopy concert, which started in 2020 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Peanuts. There will be a different guest artist at each location. Win Morizaki will be at Hyogo, Kimika will be at Hokkiado, and Thelma Aoyama will be at Tokyo. Tickets range between 9000 JPY ($58.30) and 38,000 JPY ($246.20).

The Billboard Classics x Snoopy Magical Christmas Night 2024 concert will take place on December 8 (Hyogo), December 12 (Hokkaido), and December 23 (Tokyo).

Good Smile Company will release a Nendoroid of Snoopy from the Peanuts comic series by Charles M. Schulz. Pre-orders will remain open on the Good Smile Online Shop until October 26, 2023 for the Snoopy Nendoroid. Snoopy costs ¥6,800 from the Good Smile Online Shop and $43.99 USD from the US store. The Peanuts Snoopy Nendoroid will release February 2024 in Japan and target Q3 2024 worldwide.

The Snoopy figure comes with a smiling faceplate, a laughing faceplate, sunglasses, his iconic red roofed doghouse, and other optional parts for posting the figure. Snoopy also comes with his best friend, Woodstock. The small Woodstock toy comes with his own pair of sunglasses.

The Peanuts comic series was created by Schulz in 1950 and would run in the daily newspapers. Eventually it because the Sunday comic strip feature and ran through until 2000 when Schulz ed away. The Peanuts comics follow a circle of young children dealing with a variety of humorous, quirky situations and was filled with philosophical, psychological, and sociological concepts. Iconic characters from the series include Charlie Brown and Snoopy, and the series has been adapted to animated shows, films, and stage plays.

Good Smile Company made other Nendoroids based on western franchises in the past including How to Train Your Dragon, the Minions from the Despicable Me film franchise, Barbie, and Bendy and the Ink Machine.
