The cavalcade of June game showcases continued with the PC Gaming Show 2024 games, with the presentation hosted by Sean "Day9" Plott and Mica Burton. The showcase focused entirely on games available for the PC, though some are or will be available on other platforms too.

Some standouts include Southfield, a farming game that seems to be channeling a bit of the Totally Accurate series by adding wonky physics. We also saw a look at goofy, magical XCOM-like Tactical Breach Wizards and the anime-inspired rhythm adventure game UNBEATABLE. RTS fans were well served too, as both Stormgate and Battle Aces had sections devoted to gameplay features and even a new faction.

PC Gamer presented their its PC Gaming Show for November 2023, and showcase centered around the most wanted, new PC games, voted for by a of content creators and developers. There were also a few new announcements woven in with the countdown.

The most wanted entries included a range of games, although few of them featured new announcements. In some cases such as Avowed, Grand Theft Auto 6 and Tekken 8, the discussed why people are excited for these games but shared no new info. Some games did get new updates, however, including Path of Exile 2, Homeworld 3, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The Ken trailer for Persona 3 Reload also made an appearance.

Persona 4 Golden, the enhanced PlayStation Vita version of Atlus’ role-playing game, has been ported to PC. The game was announced in the PC Gaming Show presentation and immediately released on Steam on June 13, 2020.

This surprise release of Persona 4 Golden marks the first time any core Persona game has been playable on a non-PlayStation platform. It's also the franchise’s first appearance of any sort on PC. The standard edition is available for $19.99 / €19.99, while a “deluxe edition” including a digital soundtrack and art book is $24.99 / €24.99.

Atlus describes this Persona 4 Golden Steam port as “an HD experience,” with an unlocked frame rate and multiple resolution options. It includes full keyboard and mouse controls, though gamepad play is still ed. Players can choose from Japanese and English audio options, and text is available in Japanese, English, Korean and Traditional Chinese. The Steam-exclusive release also includes achievements and trading cards.

Originally released on PlayStation 2 in 2008, Persona 4 follows a group of high school students as they encounter social situations during the day and face combat at night. Persona 4 Golden, this enhanced edition originally released exclusively for Vita in 2012, adds new features and story elements.

The 2020 edition of PC Gaming Show, originally scheduled for June 6, was delayed one week to June 13 “to make space for those speaking out and demonstrating about how to end the systemic oppression and police brutality experienced by black people.”

Now that the PC Gaming Show 2020 has a newly set air date, a list of some of the companies that will be showing off new PC games has appeared. Most notably, a few companies that specialize in Japanese titles are all on the docket to appear. To be more specific, there will be some sort of XSEED, Sega, and Atlus games presence at the event.

The PC Gaming Show 2020 is going to involve a video showcase that will be about two hours long and involve announcements and interviews. (There will also be “gaming celebrity cameos” and “influencer commentary” with this year’s show.) Of the companies released so far, only Atlus, Sega, and XSEED tend to be involved with the publishing of Japanese games in English. No teases have been offered, but Sega does have Yakuza: Like a Dragon heading to PCs.

Two more broadcasts are being pushed back in order to allow the ongoing protests in the United States to receive more attention. Future US’ annual PC Gaming Show 2020 installment and new Future Games Show have both been delayed. Instead of occurring on June 6, 2020, they will each be held on June 13, 2020.

The official statements were posted by PC Gamer and GamesRadar+, the two sites tied to the events. Each showcase will be a video presentation, with the PC Gaming Show involving announcements and the Future Games Show confirmed to have over 30 games appearing. In each case, the briefings will be pushed back a week.

Like you, we have found it hard over the last week to focus on anything other than the demands for justice and the justifiable anger that millions of Americans are expressing. Right now, we want to make space for those speaking out and demonstrating about how to end the systemic oppression and police brutality experienced by black people.

In of that movement, we are postponing the broadcast of this year's PC Gaming Show by a week to Saturday, June 13. This year's event represents the collective work of hundreds of ionate, committed, supremely talented developers whose vision we're excited to help share.

The Future Games Show will now take place at the later date of Saturday, June 13 in of the protests demanding justice and change over the death of George Floyd at the hands of the police.

While we regret to announce that we'll be moving the date, it's right that other voices are heard at this time. Our sister site PC Gamer has also announced that the PC Gaming Show will also be postponed until Saturday, June 13.

Both shows were originally due to take place on Saturday, June 6. We remain excited to share the exclusive reveals, deep-dives on the future of gaming, developer interviews, and roundtables with many of gaming's biggest and brightest talents.

Daniel Dawkins, Content Director of Games and Film at GamesRadar+, says: "While we're all excited to bring you our first Future Games Show, we feel it's important to leave space for more important conversations right now. This is a time for our industry to stand together with the Black Lives Matter movement, and we're proud to do so."

Other postponed events include the Capcom Pro Tour Online, IGN Summer of Gaming, and the PlayStation 5 game reveal event.
