Bandai Namco announced that it has recorded over 4 million units of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 sold worldwide. The company celebrates the milestone by revealing several new projects related to the game developed by Koei Tecmo's Omega Force that originally came out in 2020. One of them is a most wanted character poll, where the winners will appear as new DLC playable characters for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4.

The company has also set up a survey page for the poll. However, it requires people to have a Bandai Namco ID ed before they can access the page. Once logged in, they will be able to choose 3 characters they want the most out of the 23 figures listed.

The 23 characters available in the poll are as follows. As a side note, Nefertari Vivi and her pet duck Karoo are counted in a single character slot.

• World Government and the Marines - Sengoku, Ryokugyu, Kaku, S-Hawk, or Sentomaru
• Female characters - Nefertari Vivi & Karoo, Koala, Baby 5, Monet, or Perona
• Wano Country - King, Queen, Ulti, Kyoshiro, or Scratchmen Apoo
• Movie characters - Shiki, Zephyr, Gild Tesoro, or Douglas Bullet
• Past adversaries - Enel, Gecko Moria, Magellan, or Foxy

The One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 most wanted character poll will close on Friday, February 28, 2025. After closing the poll, Bandai Namco will select several of the top-ranked winners for the new DLC set.

This poll also shows Bandai Namco's commitment to continuously add more content to One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 in a similar fashion to Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2. The game's was initially thought to have concluded with the Wano Country character Kozuki Oden in 2020. However, the company later revealed new DLC for the game and added characters like Gear 5 Luffy and Monkey D. Garp throughout 2023 and 2024.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Even though the PS4 and Xbox One versions are also readily playable on the PS5 and Xbox Series X via backward compatibility, Bandai Namco has also announced plans to release new native versions for the newer consoles.

The final characters for the One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 Character Pack 6 DLC are Monkey D Garp and Silvers Rayleigh. They’ll appear alongside Gold Roger in the Legend Dawn Pack on March 28, 2024. 

This announcement was accompanied by two brief trailers showing the characters fighting. The first showed Rayleigh using his sword to attack a horde of enemies. The combo then ended with all of the stunned foes dropped in front of him.

With the Garp segment, it showed how he attacks with his bare fists. The combo highlighted here constantly moves him forward, then ends with him knocking back opponents.

This is the last of the Character 2 additions. The first pack was The Battle of Onigashima, and the second was One Piece Film: Red. Each one added three new characters to use. The bonus for buying all the packs together in the also offered a Trafalgar D Water Law costume inspired by his Onigashima Battle appearance.

The next One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 Character 2 DLC character will be Gold Roger. Bandai Namco shared an initial teaser trailer confirming his appearance in Character Pack 6.

Gold Roger is the Pirate King in the series, and the reason people like Luffy and Shanks even embarked on their dream to become pirates. The One Piece series begins with him about to be executed by the World Government and revealing that he’s hid his treasure for people to find. So instead of putting a stop to all pirates, it inspires more to follow in his footsteps. 

Here’s the teaser that appeared on social media. It only briefly shows Gold Roger in One Piece Pirate Warriors 4. Teasers for the other characters appear after him.

This means we’re coming closer to knowing all the characters appearing in One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 Character 2. The first add-on was called The Battle of Onigashima Pack. That brought Gear 5 Luffy to the game. It also meant people got access to the Onigashima Battle version of Kaido, as well as Yamato. When 2024 began, the One Piece Film: Red Pack launched. That added three more characters from the movie. People could pick up and play as Uta, Koby, and Shanks. 

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 is available for the PS4, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, and there’s no release window for Gold Roger yet.

Bandai Namco updated details about the next One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 Character 2 additions, noting DLC 5 will be a Film: Red pack that includes Shanks and Koby. They will alongside Uta on January 11, 2024. 

As the Film: Red name of the pack suggests, it will depict characters that appeared in the One Piece movie. We already knew Uta, one of the stars of that film, and a song pack with tracks from the film would appear for the Musou game.

Here’s a gallery showing Koby and Shanks in One Piece Pirate Warriors 4, with art and screenshots from the official social media . 

Two brief trailers also appeared online. First, here’s Koby attacking alongside some marines he summoned.

Next, here’s Shanks slashing through opponents.

The official Japanese website also updated to include all three characters. Both Koby and Shanks are Speed type characters. Meanwhile, Uta is classified as a Technique type. 

Finally, there's a new commercial in Japan, which features Uta discussing the add-on. Some gameplay footage of all three characters appears.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 is available for the PS4, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Koby, Shanks, and Uta will appear in the next  Film: Red DLC pack on January 11, 2024.

Bandai Namco offered a better look at Uta, the first of the One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 DLC 5characters. A new trailer showed briefly what players can expect from her in-game.

The trailer begins with Uta’s pixel-art logo. Then, there’s the official reveal that the One Piece Film Red heroine will be ing in Character Pack DLC 5. She’s one of three new units that will be playable. The official art there shows her with her distinctive headphones and wings. After that, we see footage of her normal character model in-game as she goes, “Let’s go!” After that, she transforms to don her armor and says “New Genesis,” which is the name of her single.

After that, the trailer confirms there will be a One Piece Film Red Anime Song Pack DLC in addition to the addition of Uta. It includes songs from the film, like her “New Genesis” single. Here’s the full list of tracks included, which can be used as background music in the game if purchased.

Bandai Namco revealed new One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 DLC characters with screenshots. When it announced Character 2, it only showed Gear 5 Luffy and showed silhouettes of other characters like Uta. But we knew two more would in The Battle of Onigashima Pack. Now we know Kaido and Yamato will be the other two ing One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 when that add-on drops in September 2023.

First, here's a look at Yamato in One Piece Pirate Warriors 4. Two screenshots showed various attacks. In one of them, he is wearing his mask as he attacks.

We already got a rather good look at what Gear 5 Luffy will be capable of when he comes to One Piece Pirate Warriors 4. Bandai Namco actually shared some video clips showing his attacks. They showed the transformation into Gear 5, as well as him hitting some groups of enemies.

Back at the end of July 2023, Bandai Namco revealed One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 DLC would be on the way, with Gear 5 Luffy teased. Now there’s initial footage showing that transformation in-game. It shows what it might be like to fight as him when using those abilities in this Musou installment that pits a player against dozens of enemies.

Here’s the Gear 5 Luffy One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 footage. We don’t actually get to see the effect the attack has on the group of foes ahead of him. Rather, we see him change into that version of himself, laugh, then hop in the air as more opponents appear.

This was actually one of three pieces of footage teased over the past few days. First, the following footage of Luffy using Gum-Gum Red Roc appeared.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 is readily available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Character 2 pre-orders are open and will bring three new add-ons to the game. The DLC will include nine characters and a Onigashima Battle costume for Trafalgar D. Water Law. The anime is streaming on Crunchyroll, and the manga is available via Viz Media.

On One Piece Day 2023 (July 22), information about new DLC characters for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 will come out. Neither the tweet itself nor the image accompanying it has any hints as to who else might the roster. The DLC characters will be announced during the stage event for One Piece Day, which will also be streamed.

Previous DLC characters for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 include Charlotte Katakuri, Vinsmoke Judge, X Drake, and O-Kiku. The thing about these character packs is that they came out during 2020, around when the game initially launched. So the DLC characters will be the first ones after about three years of inactivity from Bandai Namco for this intellectual property. Previous DLC characters came out in themed packs. For example, Vinsmoke Judge was part of the Whole Cake Island Pack, which featured characters from the eponymous Whole Cake Island Arc.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 came out in 2020 as the sequel to One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3. Like several other Omega Force games, it is a musou-like action game. It takes place after the Wano Arc from One Piece and features an original story. It has a roster of over 50 characters, including DLC ones. In 2022, Bandai Namco announced that it shipped over 2 million units of the game since launch.

Bandai Namco announced that it had shipped over 2 million units of One Piece Pirate Warriors 4. This number combines physical shipments with digital sales on all available platforms.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 launched worldwide in late March 2020. The action game featured a new moveset system where all playable characters can launch aerial combos. Bandai Namco added nine DLC characters for the game's post-release . The content additions ended in December 2020 with the inclusions of Kin'emon, Okiku, and Kozuki Oden from Wano Country.

Bandai Namco previously announced a 1 million shipments milestone for One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 in mid-December 2020. It is the quickest record to date in the Pirate Warriors series, as the latest entry reached the number in less than nine months. It took around a year and eight months for the game to gain another million for its lifetime shipment number.

The new milestone puts Pirate Warriors 4 above Koei Tecmo's mainline Warriors games. The company had shipped over 1 million units for each of Dynasty Warriors 3, 4, and 5, as well as the first Samurai Warriors. The only entry that stands above One Piece—and the entire Warriors series including crossover titles—is Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. The Nintendo Switch-exclusive game had over 3 million units shipped during its launch week in November 2020, and the lifetime number increased to 4 million in January 2022.

Kozuki Oden will be the final DLC character for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. Bandai Namco shared a new trailer showcasing his speedy Two-Sword Style.

Oden was the Great Daimyo of Wano Country's Kuri region. He was a member of both the Whitebeard Pirates and the Roger Pirates. He was a freewheeling spirit, loved by many; however, in the end, Kozuki Oden was executed by the Animal Kingdom Pirates.

While Oden's action type is power, he specializes in a speedy Two-Sword Style. Moreover, he can use "Ryuo" to unleash extra powerful area of effect attacks in any situation. He'll have powerful abilities in his moveset, like the "Gun Modoki" that launches a multi-hit cross-sword attack to all enemies in front.

Kozuki Oden will the game alongside Kin’emon and Okiku in the Wano Country Pack on December 17, 2020. As a side note, the official One Piece game Twitter issued a clarification on a recent milestone. Weekly Shonen Jump's latest issue stated that One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 had reached a total of one million in sales, but it should be units shipped (plus digital sales), not sold.

Pirate Warriors 4 was released simultaneously worldwide on March 27, 2020, so it reached the milestone in less than nine months. Although Weekly Shonen Jump mentioned that the game had "sold" a total of one million copies, the Japanese official Twitter for One Piece console games corrected it and said that it should have been "shipped" instead.

The latest game in the One Piece: Pirate Warriors series, from Bandai Namco and Koei Tecmo, revamped the action system to add more emphasis on aerial attacks. The Dramatic Log, which retells the story of One Piece, also changed to focus more on specific arcs, including the Whole Cake Island and Wano Country arcs that were not included in Pirate Warriors 3.

Bandai Namco also added a total of nine DLC characters to Pirate Warriors 4 after its release. They are grouped into three packs containing three characters each, although all of them can also be obtained at once with the Character . The first two packs are immediately available. Whole Cake Island Pack added Charlotte Smoothie, Charlotte Cracker, and Vinsmoke Judge. The Worst Generation Pack featured X Drake, Killer, and Urouge. Okiku is a tea house poster girl in Okobore Town, but she's also a formidable self-trained samurai. In One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, she is a speed-type character. As seen in the trailer, she has several moves that freeze enemies in place.  Her playstyle mostly revolves around freezing opponents and following up with different moves. Moreover, Okiku goes into an "iai" stance after using charge attacks. This stance boosts the power of her next attack, so you'll always want to make sure that you land some big hits with it.

Okiku will fellow samurai Kin’emon and the recently revealed Kozuki Oden as part of the Wano Country Pack. The three DLC characters in the Wano Country Pack will be the last additional characters for the game. The DLC pack will become available in Japan for 1,200 yen plus tax starting December 17, 2020.

Bandai Namco also revealed in the magazine that One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 has topped one million units in total sales. This makes it the fastest a One Piece: Pirate Warriors game reached a million copies sold in series history.

Gameplay details for Kozuki Oden are light for now, but he will be a power-type character. He'll have access to moves like "Gun Modoki," which involves powering up his two swords with Ryuo before launching a multi-strike cross-sword attack at all enemies in front of him. He'll also have various special attacks, but we'll get a closer look at those at a later date.

Kozuki Oden will One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 alongside fellow Wano Country samurai Kin'emon and Okiku in the third character pack. The DLC character pack #3 will become available in Japan on December 17, 2020. The price will be 1,200 yen for the three characters. In any case, it shouldn't be long until we get more info in the West about the DLC characters’ debut.

The Wano Country samurai Kin'emon will  One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 as part of its third DLC character pack. Bandai Namco shared a new trailer that gives us a look at Kin'emon in action.

Kin'emon isn't known for being the most prominent fighter out there, but he can hold his own using Foxfire techniques shown in his gameplay trailer. He also has the ability to create clothes using his Devil Fruit powers, but in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 he'll rely mostly on his blazing sword.

His playstyle consists of cloaking his sword in flames to scorch all nearby enemies within range of his attacks. He can also gather up enemies to deal heavy damage while using Full-Force Burst.

Kin’emon will  One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 as part of its unnamed third DLC pack. Okiku will Kin'emon as the DLC pack's second character. We still don't know who the third character is, but it will be another samurai from the Wano Country Arc. The first DLC pack, “Whole Cake Island Pack,” features Vinsmoke Judge, Charlotte Smoothie, and Charlotte Cracker. The second DLC character pack, the “Worst Generation Character Pack,” includes X Drake, Killer, and Urouge.

Okiku hails from Okobore Town in Wano Country's Kuri region. She's a tea house poster girl and a self-trained samurai. She enraged the Sumo champion Urashima after refusing his advances and even chopped off his topknot in the process, but thankfully Luffy was there to save her.

In One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, Okiku is a speed-type fighter specializing in attacks that freeze enemies. She also goes into an "iai" stance after using any charge attacks. This stance boosts her next attack's power, so it's a big part of her playstyle in the game.
