Good Smile Company started pre-orders for the next new Fire Emblem: Three Houses figure, which is a figma of the female version of Byleth. She’ll debut in June 2026 in Japan, followed by a worldwide release. This one costs ¥12,800/$90.99.

As this is a figma, Byleth will be about six inches tall, be fully articulated. She will come with accessories from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. There will be three face plates representing a neutral expression, a smiling one, and one in which she is angrily shouting. She comes with one weapon, which is the Sword of the Creator, though there is also an additional effect part to show the fiery whip form of it. Multiple pairs of hands are also included for different poses.

Here’s how the Fire Emblem: Three Houses Byleth figma will look when it debuts next year.

We’ve seen quite a few Fire Emblem Byleth figures from Good Smile Company, and they represent both the male and female avatars. For example, Pop Up Parade versions of each one showed up in the more affordable, static, non-scale line.

The Fire Emblem: Three Houses female Byleth figma will launch in Japan in June 2026, with a worldwide release following after that. Pre-orders are open until July 9, 2025. Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes are both available on the Switch worldwide.

Uniqlo Pokemon Trading Card Game Shirts Arrive in August

Uniqlo announced it will sell shirts based on Pokemon Trading Card Game and Pokemon TCG Pocket, with both adult and kids styles appearing in August 2025. The official Japanese site updated showing the nine men’s designs, which are unisex items, and the eight kids options.

The adult Uniqlo Pokemon Trading Card Game and TCG Pocket designs are divided into five t-shirts and four sweatshirts. In each case, they’ll be available in sizes XS (extra small) through XXXXL. Each shirt is ¥1,500 (~$11), and the sweatshirts are ¥2,990 (~$21). Designs feature characters like Gardevoir, Gengar, Kabuto, Magikarp, Mewtwo Omanyte, Pikachu, Slowpoke, Snorlax, Unown. In the case of the Gardevoir shirt and the Gengar and Mewtwo sweatshirts, the design is on the back.

Here’s how all of those look:

As for the kids styles, there are four t-shirts and four sweatshirts. They can be found in children’s sizes 3-4y (100) to 13y (160). The shirts cost ¥990 (~$7) each, while the sweatshirts are ¥1,990 (~$14). In some cases, they feature designs similar to the adult options, such as with Pikachu and Mewtwo. However, the Charizard, Eevee, Lucario, Lapras, Mew, and Mimikyu styles are only available in the kids collection.

These are the initial pictures of all eight of them.

The US Uniqlo site isn’t showing any of these new shirts yet. However, it does show some of the other Pokemon Sketch style items already available. Since these types of collections do tend to show up everywhere, it might launch at or around the same time.

The Uniqlo Pokemon Trading Card Game and TCG Pocket shirts will show up in Japan in August 2025. It is unknown when we might start to see the designs appear in-stores and online worldwide. Pokemon TCG Pocket is available on mobile devices.

Mario Kart World Developers Explain Why Cow Is a Character

In Nintendo’s latest Ask the Developer interview series, Mario Kart World Producer Kosuke Yabuki and other of the development team like Atsuko Asahi, Kenta Sato, Masaaki Ishikawa, and Shintaro Jikumaru explained how Cow ended up being a playable character and ushered in other NPC drivers. It all started when a developer, who Ishikawa didn’t name, drew a sketch of the cow in the background driving a truck. As a result, options opened up in the new entry in the series.

Both Yabuki and Ishikawa cited the “for fun” sketch of Cow driving a truck, which seemed to be made during brainstorming new possible racers. Ishikawa said, “Each new Mario Kart game features new characters to race with, but since we added so many to the previous game, we wondered where we could go from there. And then one of the designers came up with that silly sketch of Cow cruising along, and I thought to myself, ‘This is it!’” This led to a prototype of that character, and then other NPC drivers like Cheep Cheep and Pokey ended up being broached as well. Yabuki also noted, “It's pretty funny to see a four-legged Cow holding onto motorcycle handlebars with her front hooves.”

Jikumaru also noted that the appearance of Cow as the first NPC driver in Mario Kart World also influenced the addition of the Kamek item. The developer noted, “It was thanks to the introduction of various ‘NPC drivers’ that the idea to have Kamek appear as an item was born. When Kamek casts a spell, the racers are transformed into playable NPCs, so one by one they might all turn into Cow mid-race. I think it turned out to be a unique item that has never been seen before. In fact, Cow is a character who's inspired a lot of different ideas, including obstacle characters like Camel and Giraffe.”

Mario Kart World debuts for the Switch 2 on June 5, 2025, appearing alongside the new console as a launch title.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Switch 2 Creator’s Voice

One of the first new The Legend of Zeida series games to come to the Switch 2 will be Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, a new entry in the Warriors spin-offs of Musou action games. To help prepare for that and share insights into its development, a new Nintendo Creator’s Voice video featured Koei Tecmo Producer Ryota Matsushita and AAA Games Studio Head Yosuke Hayashi discussing the title. Both shared a bit about their background before discussing the game, and they confirmed it will both show the Imprisoning War and what life was like for Zelda when she was sent back through time during the events of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

First, Matsushita and Hayashi discussed how Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment won’t just focus on the one versus 1,000 battles during the war against the original version of Ganondorf in the Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom games, but also the life of Zelda in that time period and her experiences with the four Masked Sages. However, the two also emphasized that the new hardware meant it will be possible for many more enemies to appear on the field at once, increase frame rates, and add to “realism.”

Metroid: Other M Samus Figma Figures Return After Over 10 Years

Good Smile Company announced it will rerelease both the Samus Aran Zero Suit and standard figma figures based on the character’s Metroid: Other M opinions. The two initially launched over 10 years ago, with the standard Power Suit option debuting back in 2012 and the Zero Suit design debuting in 2016. Due to the Trump tariffs, the US site orders aren’t open. Both figures are priced at ¥9,800 (~68) in the Japanese storefront. The Power Suit version will appear in January 2026 in Japan, followed by Zero Suit in February 2026.

In the case of the Power Suit, that doesn’t come with any additional face parts. This is because Samus wears a helmet throughout, of course. Instead, the extra parts are designed to showcase different poses or actions. There are two beam effects to show her firing her gun. You can also make it look like she found and is shooting missiles. One part includes a thumbs up hand for her left hand. You also get a Morph Ball.

Here’s how that one looks:

With the Zero Suit Samus, we get various head parts in addition to other accessories. Smiling and stern face plates are included. You can also swap the hair pieces so she can be displayed with either short hair or a long-haired ponytail. Her right hand thumbs up part is included. So are a gun and replica of Adam’s helmet to hold.

These are all the photos Good Smile Company shared of that version of her.

The Metroid: Other M Samus Aran Power Suit figma will debut in January 2026 in Japan, followed by the Zero Suit figure in February 2026. There’s no word on US release dates yet. Pre-orders close on July 2, 2025. Metroid: Other M appeared on the Wii worldwide.

US Pokemon Center Now Selling Penny’s Eevee Backpack

The US branch of The Pokemon Center announced that the Penny’s Eevee backpack, based on the accessory worn by the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet character, is now in-stock. It can be found online for $69.99. This does mean it qualifies for free shipping, as the tier to clear for that is $20.

This backpack is designed to be an exact replica of the one Penny wears throughout the game. The fluff around the Pokemon’s neck covers the upper parts of the straps and goes over a person’s shoulders. To store items inside the plush, you need to open a zipper on its stomach. It is over a foot tall, at 13 inches, and 11 inches wide. It could also be used for cosplay purposes, in addition to everyday wear.

Here’s a closer look at the Penny’s Eevee plush backpack from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet from various angles, as well as some photos showing it being worn by an individual to provide a better sense of scale.

While this is now available on the US storefront, we actually have seen the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Penny’s Eevee backpack before. The Pokemon Company released it in Japan back in September 2023. When it launched back then, it cost ¥6,930 (~$47).

The Penny’s Eevee backpack is available via the US Pokemon Center now, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo Today Shares Switch 2 Home Menu Mouse Controls

Leading up to the Switch 2 launch, new Nintendo Today mobile app articles highlighted different features, and the latest looked at the Home Menu and its mouse controls. Someone can use the Joy-Con 2 controllers, the touch screen, or the mouse option to sift through things on the new console.

In case you don’t have Nintendo Today, here are two screenshots I took of the article in the app. That basically highlights how someone can choose different navigation options depending on what they prefer. Then, it looked at a trailer.

And here are some screenshots I took of the video that showed examples of the Switch 2 Home menu and its mouse controls. The segment begins by showing how a person could use mouse controls to navigate the menu. We see the scroll over to the Joy-Con 2 settings. There, we get a brief glimpse at the “How to Use Mouse Controls” tutorial. That also involves a test showing how the analog stick can be used to go through menus. The video ends by showing you can immediately go back to standard controls by turning the controller and using it as normal.

Prior to the May 12, 2025 look at the Switch 2 Home menu, Nintendo used the Nintendo Todayapp to highlight box art for the system’s games. That focused on a closer look at the Mario Kart World design. The gallery there allowed us to see how it would look in different regions.

The Switch 2 debuts on June 5, 2025.

The Louvre New Nintendo 3DS Audio Guide Service Ending

In , people who visit The Louvre museum can pay to use a New NIntendo 3DS system as an audio guide to the exhibits and attractions. However, there’s now an end date for that service. The official site for it noted the program ends in September 2025. However, an exact cut-off date wasn’t revealed by the staff.

As experienced firsthand by Siliconera in December 2013, the New Nintendo 3DS Louvre audio guide begins with a tutorial, than offers an opportunity to go through guided tours through the museum. It will take people through exhibits with 3D photos of the art, in-character guides, curator explanations, and opportunities to go off the set path to learn more about the art and exhibits.

To use one of these systems at the Louvre, people would need to pay an additional €6 (~$7) fee. This would grant access to all the guides available on the 3DS model, as well as access to use it for your entire visit. It featured these insights in Chinese, English, French (standard and sign language), German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. In addition to the guides, it also functions as a map to help find where you are and where to go in the museum.

Part of this could be due to the fact that Nintendo cut off for the handheld for years. Production ended in Japan in September 2020.

The Louvre New Nintendo 3DS audio guide feature will end in September 2025, and it is unknown what will happen to those systems with the tour software on them.

New Lego Animal Crossing and Super Mario Sets Leak

While Lego and Nintendo didn’t officially reveal the new Animal Crossing and Super Mario sets, leaks online via Reddit and Wario64 resulted images of the apparent August 2025 sets appearing online. There are nine new Nintendo sets total, and among them are ones with Wario, Captain Toad, and Blather’s museum.

Since only images appeared, we don’t have exact prices for things. However, the photos that appeared online do show the box art and the finished sets. First, here’s the list of Super Mario Lego sets that include a mix of enemies and Mario Kart builds. There are references to Super Mario Wonder and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker too.

 • 72038: Wario and King Boo (Note: This is a Mario Kart set.)
 • 72039: Bowser’s Castle (Note: This is a Mario Kart set.)
 • 72040: Captain Toad’s Camp
 • 72041: Party at Toad’s House
 • 72042: Prince Florian and Castle Bowser
 • 72043: Interactive Lego Mario and Standard Kart

Here’s the photo that appeared online and showed all of those sets:

As for the three Animal Crossing Lego sets, these all involve buildings like Blather’s museum and help build up a town. The smallest one consists of 149 pieces and the first “small” house, while the set with two houses is biggest at 814 pieces. Here’s the full list:

 • 77056: Blathers’ Museum Collection (Note: The villager included alongside Blathers the owl is Lily the frog.)
 • 77057: Creative Houses: Seasons of Fun (Note: The villagers in this set include Fuchsia the deer, Fang the wolf, and Stitches the bear.)
 • 77058: Lily’s Cozy House

Here's how those three leaks look:

As a note, some of the older Animal Crossing Lego sets are currently on sale at stores like Amazon. Some of the more notable ones include the 77050: Nook’s Cranny and Rosie’s House set for $52.99 instead of $74.99 and the 77052: K.K.’s Concert in the Plaza for $44.19 instead of $79.99.

The new Super Mario and Animal Crossing sets will apparently debut in August 2025.

Street Fighter 6 amiibo Card Set Is a GameStop Exclusive

GameStop started pre-orders for the Street Fighter 6 amiibo Card Starter Set, and the product page confirmed it is exclusive to that store. This is the only exclusive, as the amiibo figures based on Jamie, Kimberly, and Luke are available at places like Best Buy and Walmart. The set will release on June 5, 2025, alongside the Switch 2 and its version of the game.

The Street Fighter 6 amiibo Card Starter Set costs $39.99. This puts the deck at the same price point as an actual amiibo figure of one of the three new characters for this installment. These are NFC cards like the ones released for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. So while they are only a card, they feature all the same functionality as the collectible. 22 cards are packed in the box. This covers all of the base game cast and Year 1 Character fighters. However, only the Jamie, Kimberly, and Luke cards ended up being shown so far.

As a reminder, here are all of the character cards that will be in that pack:

 • A.K.I.
 • Akuma
 • Blanka
 • Cammy
 • Chun-Li
 • Dee Jay
 • Dhalsim
 • E. Honda
 • Ed
 • Guile
 • Jamie
 • JP
 • Juri
 • Ken
 • Kimberly
 • Lily
 • Luke
 • Manon
 • Marisa
 • Ryu

Nintendo of Europe Shared 2 Switch 2 Upgrade Pack Prices

When Nintendo announced the Switch 2, it confirmed there would be upgrade pack options for some existing games that would add additional upgrades or more content for a price. While prices didn’t come up at the time, an update to the Nintendo European site shared prices for four first-party Switch 2 Edition games for the new console. Three free updates also were again confirmed. [Thanks, Resetera!]

Here’s the list of Switch games that will get Switch 2 upgrade pack additions and the price for each one. It seems like ones that include a substantial amount of new content, such as the Star-Crossed World expansion for Kirby and the Forgotten Land or the Jamboree TV extras for Super Mario Party Jamboree, launch at the higher of the two possible price points.

 • Kirby and the Forgotten Land Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World - £16.99/€19.99
 • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Switch 2 Edition - £7.99/€9.99
 • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 Edition - £7.99/€9.99
 • Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV - £16.99/€19.99

While Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is among the games that will get a Switch 2 Edition, the site didn’t note a cost for it yet.

As for the three free Switch 2 upgrades for existing Switch games, those titles came up on the main landing page on the site. It won’t cost anything to get the s for 51 Worldwide Games, which is known Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics in other regions, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, and Super Mario Odyssey.

The Nintendo Switch 2 launches on June 5, 2025.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones Heads to Nintendo Switch Online

In honor of the Fire Emblem series’ 35th anniversary, Nintendo added Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack hip tier. NSO can also access the Fire Emblem Engage soundtrack in the Nintendo Music app on mobile devices as part of the celebration.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones maybe the eighth game, but many people might it as only the first or second one they played. This is because the first worldwide release was Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade for the GBA, released outside Japan as just Fire Emblem, and this was the second. You can go through two storylines, with each campaign following one of the twin siblings Prince Ephraim and Princess Eirika of Renais. Once you get through one, there is also an unlockable Creature Campaign.

Here’s the trailer for the Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones NSO release that shows the game running on the Switch.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LmocGJOdZk&ab_channel=NintendoofAmerica

Here’s the official announcement bringing up the Fire Emblem Engage soundtrack coming to the NSO Nintendo Music app. The trailer included clips from the songs “Emblem Engage,” “Engage,” and “On Day Patrol, Divine One.”

https://twitter.com/FE_Heroes_EN/status/1914583534322536847

In addition to these two additions to celebrate the Fire Emblem series 35th anniversary, Intelligent Systems ran events in Fire Emblem Heroes. There have been daily rerun banners with free pulls, campaigns with currencies, bonus items, and banner tickets, special banners, and a new banner that features an Attuned Hero version of Tiki from Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is available on the GBA and on the Switch via Nintendo Switch Online. Fire Emblem Engage is on the Switch. Fire Emblem Heroes is on mobile devices. Nintendo Switch Online is $19.99 for a one-year standard hip and $49.99 for a one-year hip with the Expansion Pack.

Splatoon 3 Water Guns Looks Like a Splat Brella v3x3m https://siliconera.voiranime.info/splatoon-3-water-guns-looks-like-a-splat-brella/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=splatoon-3-water-guns-looks-like-a-splat-brella https://siliconera.voiranime.info/splatoon-3-water-guns-looks-like-a-splat-brella/#respond <![CDATA[Jenni Lada]]> Tue, 22 Apr 2025 17:00:00 +0000 <![CDATA[News]]> <![CDATA[Nintendo Switch]]> <![CDATA[Europe]]> <![CDATA[Japan]]> <![CDATA[Merchandise]]> <![CDATA[Nintendo]]> <![CDATA[North America]]> <![CDATA[Splatoon 3]]> <![CDATA[Sun Art]]> https://siliconera.voiranime.info/?p=1090580 <![CDATA[

Splatoon 3 Water Gun Looks Like a Splat Brella

Sun Art announced that it worked with Nintendo to create two Splatoon 3 water guns, with each of the pistols looking like the Splat Brella from the game. These will be available in blue or yellow color schemes. Each one will cost 3,278円 (~$23).

As in Splatoon 3, these Splat Brella water guns can be used offensively or defensively. They can also be easily transported by folding them up like a regular umbrella. Once unfurled, you can use the umbrella part as coverage to protect yourself from the water other people are shooting. The reservoir of water is stored in a pouch on a ’s back that looks like an Inkling or Octoling ink tank.

Here’s how both of these items look:

This isn’t the only time we’ve seen a Splatoon series weapon turned into a real-world water gun, as water pistols based on the Splatterscope and Splattershot release in Japan. The Nintendo Store itself even sold them. In the US, Jakks also released some like a Splattershot Blaster. We’ve also seen fans make their own real-world relicas.

Splatoon 3 is available on the Nintendo Switch, and the Splat Brella water guns will be sold in Japan at the end of April 2025.

Fire Emblem: Awakening Lucina Figure Can Wear Her Mask

Good Smile Company opened pre-orders for a Fire Emblem: Awakening Lucina figure, and she’ll be able to wear her mask and appear with short hair to put on her Marth disguise. It will cost ¥31,680 (~$223). She’s expected to debut in June 2026 in Japan, with a worldwide release following after that.

Lucina is wearing the her outfit she’s best known for from the game. She also wields the Parallel Falchion. The pose makes it look as though she is about to strike with it. Good Smile Company’s product page mentions she comes with the additional head parts to change her appearance from her standard look with long hair to her Marth disguise. However, it is unknown if this means you could display her with long hair and a mask or short hair and no mask. The only initial photos show her with long hair and no mask or short hair with a mask.

This is how the figure looks when her head part with long hair and no mask is used:

Here’s how the Fire Emblem: Awakening figure looks if you switch to the display option that disguises Lucina as Marth by showing her with short hair and a mask.

This isn’t the only time Good Smile Company released a figure of the character. Lucina is also part of its figma line. It even rereleased it, due to its popularity.

The Fire Emblem: Awakening Lucina figure with optional Marth mask and hairstyle will debut in Japan in June 2026. She’ll appear worldwide after that. Pre-orders are open until July 9, 2025. Fire Emblem: Awakening is available on the 3DS.
