Nintendo updated its Nintendo Music app by adding tracks from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. People who can access the app can now listen to music tracks from the game that launched on Nintendo Switch in 2022. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

A total of 23 tracks from the game are now available on the app. The list of tracks added includes the likes of "Welcome to the New World!" and "Ready to Go!"

Physical editions of the game's original soundtrack have been available since late 2024. In the digital Nintendo Music app, however, s can extend the tracks' durations up to 60 minutes. The mobile app will then use pretty much the same loop points as the ones used in the actual games.

Nintendo has been gradually adding soundtracks from its first-party games on the app. Prior to Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the company added tracks from titles like Splatoon 2, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus to Nintendo Music. However, access to the app is strictly limited to people who have a Nintendo with an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is readily available worldwide on Nintendo Switch. The game's original soundtrack is also available in physical and digital formats; the latter accessible via the Nintendo Music app on Android and iOS mobile devices.

Nintendo added the Super Mario Bros 3 game soundtrack to the Nintendo Music app. Like all the other soundtracks available for the mobile jukebox application, accessing it requires a Nintendo Switch Online .

The Nintendo Music app features 42 songs from the Super Mario Bros 3 soundtrack, all presented in their original chiptune style. As a NES title, it’s one of the shorter soundtracks at only 30 minutes, as most of these tracks are short jingles such as the level clear theme. However, certain tracks can be extended, if the 30 minutes isn’t enough.

Nintendo has also grouped these tracks into shorter playlists, to make it easier to listen to specific songs you might like. If we choose the Top Tracks list, that will remove most of the short jingles and leave behind just the main level and world map themes. A playlist called Mushroom World condenses this further into just the songs that appeared on maps.

Nintendo launched the Nintendo Music app in October 2024. It allows Nintendo Switch Online subscribers to listen to a collection of music from various Nintendo games. It launched with the likes of Metroid Prime, Donkey Kong Country and Splatoon 3, but more soundtracks have been added over time. Since launch, games such as Splatoon 2, Pokemon Legends Arceus and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword have all been added. Super Mario Bros 3 is the latest update to the service. Age doesn't matter, as we've seen soundtracks from games ranging from NES releases to ones that made their debut on the Switch.

Super Mario Bros 3 originally released for the Famicom in Japan 1988, followed by a release in North America for the NES in 1990. It can currently be played as part of the Nintendo Switch Online service. Its soundtrack is now available on Nintendo Music.

The Pokemon Company revealed that Nintendo has added the original soundtrack of Pokemon Legends Arceus to its Nintendo Music mobile app. People who have access to the app can now listen to music tracks from the open-world Pokemon game that has been available on Nintendo Switch since 2022.

Nintendo has been regularly adding soundtracks from its first-party titles to Nintendo Music ever since it launched the app on October 31, 2024. A new title s the ever-growing list almost every week, except for the 2025 New Year holidays.

Earlier in January 2025, Nintendo added tracks from Super Mario Kart on January 21, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on January 14, and Super Donkey Kong 3 on January 7. In December 2024, it also added soundtracks from titles like Splatoon 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

The Nintendo Music app also has some of the tracks a Length Change feature, where the can listen to the same track with a game-like seamless loop for a prolonged duration up to 60 minutes. However, people can only access the app with a Nintendo that also has a valid and active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

Pokemon Legends Arceus, which is readily available worldwide on Nintendo Switch, now has its soundtrack available on the Android and iOS app Nintendo Music.

Nintendo has added the The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword soundtrack to its Nintendo Music app. In order to access it, you’ll need to have an active Nintendo Switch Online .

There are 186 tracks in total. Listening to them all will take almost 5 hours and 30 minutes. Nintendo has already prepared some playlists for you if you don’t want to look for a specific track. The playlists include ones for battle, dungeons, and the overworld, as well as one that has extended versions of all the music. Top tracks from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword you can listen to on Nintendo Music include: “The Ballad of the Goddess,” “Fi’s Theme,” and “Islands in the Sky.”

Music from Splatoon 2 are now in the Nintendo Music app. You can listen to them or add them to the playlist if you have a Nintendo Switch Online .

The official X (formerly Twitter) for Splatoon has posted a sample of some of the tracks and you can check them out there if you wish. In total, the Nintendo Music app carries 105 tracks from Splatoon 2, including songs like “Ebb and Flow,” “Inkoming!,” and “Tidal Rush.” If you want to listen to all of the tracks, it’ll take over three hours. As a note, the entire game’s soundtrack is not in the app. Some of the top replies in the Twitter post have requested that Nintendo add their missing favorites, but it’s unknown if Nintendo will update the playlist in the future.

Nintendo released the Nintendo Music app back in late October 2024. To access it and use its features, you need to have a Nintendo Switch Online though. With Nintendo Music, you can and stream songs from various Nintendo games, as well as form your own personal playlist. There’s also a loop and in-built extension function. So if there’s a particular track you want to listen for hours on end, you can do so with this app.

Splatoon 2 is readily available on the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo announced it fixed an Android issue with the Nintendo Music app available on mobile devices, allowing more people access to its game songs. The update is live worldwide as of the evening of November 7, 2024. As such, anyone with an Android phone or tablet should be able to , start, and use the app without issue.

The problem in question only affected the Android version of Nintendo Music, and it kept people who should be able to use the app from even starting it. Even though it would and install properly, someone couldn’t actually even open it. Initially, Nintendo pinned the problem down to the SD card, and it recommended people check that to see if something was awry there. But now, people can get the 1.0.1 patch to remedy the problem. There are no patch notes for it, beyond Nintendo noting, “This issue was fixed in version 1.0.1, released on November 7th.”

As a reminder, all Nintendo Switch Online can use the Nintendo Music app on their mobile devices if they subscribe to the service. You just , and then you can access a growing library of songs from first-party Nintendo games. While we can’t access all songs yet, more are being added at a regular pace. For example, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Questappeared at the beginning of November 2024. 

Nintendo Music is available on Android and Apple iOS devices.
