Atlus announced that a collaboration between Seven Knights Idle Adventure and Persona 3 Reload started on September 9, 2024 and will run until September 23, 2024. During the event, you’ll be able to obtain Yuki Makoto (the protagonist), Takeba Yukari, Aigis, and Kirijo Mitsuru.

While the Persona 3 Reload event is live in Seven Knights Idle Adventure, you can obtain a special bonus award. As well, there is a new Challenge available for you to try and get either Yukari or Mitsuru. Koromaru is also in the crossover as a pet, though you’ll need to clear the Tartaros-themed collaboration dungeon in order to get him as an award. Finally, a new Legend Costume for Aigis will appear in the gacha.

https://twitter.com/skia_jp/status/1833088533109588459

All of the Persona 3 Reload characters will have their default Personas with them. However, they’re wearing modified versions of their usual uniforms. The Challenge for Yukari will start from September 9, 2024 and the one for Mitsuru will be from September 16, 2024. The Legend Costume gacha for Aigis will start from September 16, 2024 as well. It features her in her Gekkoukan High School uniform.

Seven Knights Idle Adventure is a spin-off of Netmarble’s other game, SevenKnights, but an idle game. You can get rewards from battles and such even when you’re not actively in the game. As an idle game, all phones should be able to handle it and it’s easy to pick up and play. It focuses a lot more on collecting and raising the heroes from SevenKnights.

Persona 3 Reload is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Seven Knights Idle Adventure is on mobile devices and the Persona 3 Reload crossover event will run until September 23, 2024.

The Seven Deadly Sins Idle Adventure

Netmarble has confirmed the Japanese release date for The Seven Deadly Sins: Idle Adventure. The company will launch the new mobile game in Japan—where it is known by a different subtitle Little Chronicle—on August 13, 2024. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

This mobile game will be available worldwide in multiple languages, including English. As the English subtitle implies, this game will also have an idle mode. Players will be able to invest earnings into a tavern that will generate more in-game income the better its enhancements are. Meanwhile, the Japanese subtitle Little Chronicle alludes to the fact that this game will depict the series' characters with chibi proportions.

The same company already has another The Seven Deadly Sins mobile game in Grand Cross, which has been running in East Asia since June 2019 and worldwide since 2020. The new release of Idle Adventure will not have any immediate effects on the former. In fact, Netmarble even promoted both games by holding a cross-promotion campaign in Grand Cross when it opened pre-registrations for Idle Adventure in May 2024.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Idle Adventure will be available worldwide for Android and iOS mobile devices. The mobile game will appear in Japan on August 13, 2024.

The King of Fighters Allstar

Netmarble has announced that it will shut down The King of Fighters Allstar simultaneously worldwide at the end of October 2024. The mobile game will no longer be available in Japan on October 31, 2024, at 11 AM JST, and in the Americas on October 30, 2024, at 7 PM PDT / 10 PM EDT. [Thanks, 4Gamer.]

The company launched the mobile game first in Japan in July 2018. It later released the game globally in English in October 2019. The King of Fighters Allstar will have a total lifespan of around six years and four months from its initial Japanese release.

The game's development team published a note explaining the decision to shut down the online-exclusive title. It cited a difficulty in maintaining gameplay balance for the numerous characters available in the game, which include crossover characters from other franchises.

Netmarble had previously added many crossover characters from external titles like Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, Dead or Alive, and Gintama. It had even included real-world WWE wrestlers, such as John Cena and The Undertaker.

The King of Fighters Allstar is available worldwide on Android and iOS mobile devices until October 30 or 31, 2024, depending on the regions' time zones.

I’ve played a lot of mobile games in my time, but few carry the level of presentation and style that Solo Leveling: Arise possesses outside of the HoYoVerse games. This 3D action-RPG adapts the original series quite well, capturing the feel of the world in the process.

Solo Leveling Arise is a mobile and PC adaptation of the original Korean web novel series from creator Chugong. It takes place in an alternate version of Earth, where gates appear from another dimension and monsters pour out into the world. Hunters fight back against these abominations, venture into dungeons, and keep the world safe. The series focuses on the worst hunter in the world and the surprising events that happen to him. This action-RPG picks up immediately from the beginning of the series, as the main character Sung Jiwoo ventures into a tragic double dungeon.

Though ittedly, the tutorial of this game is by far the most disappointing and annoying part, as it holds the player’s hand through every little thing. If you’ve played a mobile game before, you know what to expect in Solo Leveling: Arise. The game forces you to play several missions in a row, upgrade equipment, draw some characters, and the like. However, this particular tutorial felt like it went on quite a lot longer than others like it. If you get past this issue though, the game opens up quite a bit.

Much of Solo Leveling: Arise takes place in with third-person, behind-the-shoulders perspective. Some missions involve a little bit of exploration, but the bulk of the game centers around its exceptional combat. The speedy gameplay, which has 60 frames per second for those who want it on certain devices, has the usual attacks you'd find in this type of title. In addition, there are extra skills, such as a dodge and various AOEs. These additional abilities involve cooldowns, much like you'd expect. Wait a few seconds after using a skill, then you can use it again. The swift nature of the combat means the player always has something to do. You could be using your skills up one moment, dodging AOEs the next, then following that by charging up for your ultimate move. There are even timed attacks that have a small window of opportunity to activate, but deal tons of damage if you carry them out.

Solo Leveling Arise Review

Needless to say, Solo Leveling Arise offers by far the best action-RPG combat out of any mobile game I’ve played outside of perhaps Genshin Impact. There is plenty of challenge involved in assignments and demands for skillful play there for those who like that aspect. This is especially true if you want to get all three side objectives complete for each mission. Some of these are tough, such as getting two perfect evasions (dodges) in the same fight.

However, not everything about the gameplay is perfect. Unless a patch releases in the future, I highly recommend using a controller when playing on a mobile device or PC. The camera controls are pretty poor in this game for some odd reason. It moves awkwardly, and the lock-on feature doesn’t work well at all. I had a huge issue trying to target enemies and keep them in my view for fights with the touchscreen. The game works much better, in my experience, on PC or with a controller.

Outside of the missions, there is a hub for players to hang out in. This hunter base is home to connecting with other players, drawing new characters, upgrading weapons, and the like. One of the most surprising features in Solo Leveling: Arise is the ability to change job classes a la Final Fantasy XIV. There are various classes tied to the weapon the main character uses.

Each class comes with their own skills, ultimate moves, and the like. I enjoyed experimenting with the various weapon types and classes to find the one that worked best for me in between missions. These missions generally follow the standard progression of the actual Solo Leveling storyline. It has a nice mix of in-engine-style cutscenes and comic book Webtoon-like s. The animations and art look fantastic, so it is a shame the story moves a bit too fast. It lacks much of the character development of the actual web novel or anime versions. As such, this should act mainly as a supplement for the series, not a full-on replacement.

Overall, I would say Solo Leveling: Arise is one of the most impressive mobile games I’ve ever played. Unlike most anime mobile games, it adapts the series smartly in a welcome way. The action RPG combat is lightning fast, requires immense skill, and, most importantly, feels fun to use. Though the story moves a little too fast and it plays awkwardly with a touchscreen, the stellar presentation is leaps and bounds above most mobile games these days. Any fan of the series needs to give this a shot on mobile or PC.

Solo Leveling: Arise will release for Android and iOS devices and PC on May 8, 2024.

Here’s How The Seven Deadly Sins Origin Looks

Back in January 2022, Netmarble announced it was working on The Seven Deadly Sins Origin. This is an open-world game based on the Nakaba Suzuki series of the same name. At GDC 2023, Netmarble offered an extended look at gameplay. An almost three minute long video looks at exploration and fights against enemies.

Things begin with Tristan Liones alongside a fairy. The two head down a hole. He finds a power, which involves with the two finding themselves in.a changed world. As the video goes on, additional characters from the series appear. For example, when showing battle segments, we can see icons and appearances of characters like Howzer and Gilthunder. We also get to see various ways of traveling through the world, such as riding on the back of a monster or diving into water to swim. There’s also some light puzzle solving to reach Bigmoss’ Secret Storeroom.

The Seven Deadly Sins Origin is being developed by Netmarble for unspecified consoles, PCs, and mobile devices. The manga is available outside Japan via Kodansha USA. People can stream the anime on Netflix. Kodansha USA also is releasing the Four Knights of the Apocalypse sequel manga outside Japan, and it will get its own anime adaptation.

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is a mobile entry that mimics the trappings and aesthetics of Studio Ghibli, much like other Level-5-developed titles. A beautiful, animated introduction immediately sets the tone and provides a brief introduction to story elements that will drive the game forward. With some metatextual commentary, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is candid about its identity as an MMORPG. Its players traverse a fantastical online world. The game shows incredible promise. Like NieR Re[in]carnation or Genshin Impact, it demonstrates just what this particular market is capable of. However, it is held back by aggressive monetization and monotonous mechanics.

Players can select from a handful of different classes, each with their own unique specialization. I picked the Swordsman class, which is supposed to have an equal distribution of attack and defense stats. But this feels mostly insignificant due to the “auto-play” functionality. This includes things like auto-running to objectives and auto-combat. You can turn it off, of course. But it ultimately doesn’t change too much about early gameplay. While Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds has immediately recognizable visual design, little actually sets it apart from other mobile games of its ilk. I found myself feeling the same kind of exhaustion that I had when playing Lineage II Revolution, another “MMORPG” style mobile game by Netmarble.

While not completely identical, players can effectively set their phone down and let the game do the work. Which isn’t a bad thing for those who want to grind to acquire materials and levels while busying themselves with more important tasks. It just feels completely uninvolved, with its visuals inspired by Studio Ghibli and Joe Hisashi composed score making it noteworthy in that regard. And honestly, those two things absolutely carry Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds.

Ni no Kuni Cross Worlds

The game looks especially impressive on a PC. The vast environments are truly given the opportunity to shine, with sprawling fields of wheat set against beautiful mountain ranges encapsulating that feeling of whimsy. Areas feel densely populated, even without a plethora of player characters running from objective to objective. And it feels like Netmarble really nailed that level of feeling like you as a character are existing in a mostly organic online world.

However, lower end mobile devices may struggle to run Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds. I experienced several crashes on both Android and iOS. On my Android device, I was unable to get past the initial scripted tutorial area without constant crashes. While the PC version of the game is still in beta, I found it to be the most functional and most enjoyable to watch. Though it is clear the game was wholly intended to play on mobile devices, as the UI is mostly designed to accommodate mobile play. This can make dodging and rolling in combat a bit of a chore. Most of this is alleviated through the auto-play feature I mentioned before.

The character creator in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is fairly limited, with players only able to change their hairstyle, eye color, hair color, and skin color. All options are severely lacking, especially concerning darker skin tones. Only two options are available, with the darkest skin tone looking desaturated. There are also no Black hairstyles in the character creator. Also, the way players can express themselves in game through costumes is fairly limited, with certain costumes only available to obtain through the gacha or by crafting. And Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds has a lot of gacha elements.

There is a Familiar gacha, which players can use to acquire creatures to accompany them in combat. Each of these Familiars has their unique skills and abilities, which can help players progress through story quests or fight Field Bosses. I was lucky to obtain several three-star Familiars, which got me through a lot of the nearly two-hour introductory segment. There is also the mentioned costume gacha, which is purely cosmetic, and a weapon and armor gacha.

Ni no Kuni Cross Worlds

The functionality of these features is mostly the same as other games, with elemental attributes being ascribed to Familiars and weapons. Players will need to rotate between various elements to target the weaknesses of the enemies and bosses they are attacking. Currency is also relatively hard to come by, with a ten pull costing somewhere around $25. And Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds has several shop pages and tabs dedicated to “special offers” for enhancement packs and paid currency.

Perhaps one of the most glaring issues with Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is the inclusion of crypto currency and the implementation of NFTs within the year. The game functions on the “play to earn” model, with players gaining crypto currency earned through normal activities and PvP. This is a massive deterrent for me. Even if Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds was a more involved and enjoyable game, this alone would make me set it down. There are other games on the market that mechanically do exactly what it does, but without crypto currency and the promise of NFTs looming in the future.

It’s a shame, because Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is a beautiful game. It’s just engaging with it that seems to be the problem. The game is inundated with alerts to spend money on paid currency and other packs. The implementation of crypto currency and NFTs also leave a sour taste in my mouth. Ultimately, it is a game that shows a lot of promise, but is squandered by the constant attempts at monetization and a lack of a truly engaging system.

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is available for PCs, Android devices, and iOS devices.

Ni No Kuni Crypto

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds has launched for PC and mobile platforms globally, following an East Asia launch in 2021. Unfortunately for some players interested in the game, developer NetMarble has opted to include crypto and blockchain integration into Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds. NetMarble also aims to bring NFT functionality to the game later in 2022. [Thanks, Noisy Pixel!]

Text on the game's official website states that Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds "employs a gameplay-based blockchain system," enabling players "to play to earn tokens through gameplay." The team promises to "do [its] best to preserve the token values."

The Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds crypto tokens take the form of "Territe" and "Asterite." Territe is earned through regular activity, while Asterite is earned through PVP activity in the game's arena mode. These currencies also function as resources used for character progression. They can be traded for the crypto tokens (NKT and NKA) that reside on Marblex, the blockchain operated by NetMarble across its games. Players can then trade and sell them to each other or to third parties. They can also trade for MBX, a NetMarble-exclusive cryptocurrency.

According to a content roap, NetMarble plans to add NFT functionality to Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds by "Q4 2022."

NetMarble stated in a post from April 2022 that it intends blockchain and crypto integration for more than Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds. Games like A3: Still Alive and others already feature blockchain functions and MBX trading. These include the generation, sale, and trade of NFT assets and similar items.

NFT, blockchain, and cryptocurrency functions have become hot-button issues in the gaming space as companies jump on the crypto bandwagon. Meanwhile, attempts to cash in on the trend of "play-to-earn" games and NFT sales have generally met with disinterest or even hostility from audiences not already enthusiastic about crypto. Larger players like Ubisoft, Square Enix, and Bandai Namco have also expressed interest in blockchain integration, though, for the most part, those efforts are still in development, such as the Gundam Metaverse.

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is available on Android, iOS, and PC. Previous Ni no Kuni titles have no crypto integration and are available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Seven deadly sins origin

A new game is in development based on The Seven Deadly Sins (a.k.a. Nanatsu no Taizai). It'll be an open-world action RPG. Developed by Netmarble, the operators of Lineage 2, its formal title is The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin

Korean gaming outlet Inven posted the announcement trailer on its Youtube channel.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQJ7lP26G_c&t=1s

The trailer for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin shows off a large-scale, apparently seamless game world. Both above-ground and underwater areas appear. Characters are shown engaging in combat against large monsters as a team. They also fight through variable weather conditions and at different times of the day. Other characters are seen gathering resources and using special abilities to glide through the air. One portion shows Meliodas summoning Diane from a menu for aid in building a stone bridge. Meliodas then ascends the new bridge and climbs up the rock wall to end the trailer on an expansive vista.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin appears to be related to Netmarble's other Seven Deadly Sins game, The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross. That game, which came out in 2020, is a more traditional turn-based RPG. Origin will feature a new original story and star a new protagonist, Tristan. Seven deadly sins origin

A new game is in development based on The Seven Deadly Sins (a.k.a. Nanatsu no Taizai). It'll be an open-world action RPG. Developed by Netmarble, the operators of Lineage 2, its formal title is The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin.  Korean gaming outlet Inven posted the announcement trailer on its Youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQJ7lP26G_c&t=1s The trailer for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin shows off a large-scale, apparently seamless game world. The nature of the game world will allow players to interact and control other characters from the series too. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is in development for mobile platforms, PC, and consoles. Netmarble didn't specify a release date or target platforms.
