Kawada announced it is working with Bandai Namco to release two Tamagotchi Nanoblock sets based on the original virtual pet. Each one is set to arrive on July 12, 2025 in Japan. They will cost 1,760円 (~$12) each. While US listings aren’t live yet, Amazon already has one placeholder for the white variant.

Each Tamagotchi set ends up building both one replica of the virtual pet as well as an additional item. Each one is based on the first generation model, with one being white with black buttons and the other blue with a clock design and yellow buttons and accents. They are just about two inches tall (58mm) and come with a ball-chain keychain like the toys did. The white kit includes enough pieces to build a baby black Tamagotchi character, and the blue one comes with an egg. Each one features stickers to place over the LCD screen “face” with different designs. Both are only two-star difficulty kits with 200 to 220 pieces.

While this is a replica of the Tamagotchi virtual pet, a new model is on the way in July 2025. Tamagotchi Paradise will involve different types of ecosystems. It also features a crank that lets us zoom in and zoom out on characters.

The Tamagotchi Nanoblock sets will arrive in Japan on July 12, 2025, and it looks like we’ll also see them appear worldwide sometime around that launch.

Aniplex Plus has announced the release of a new line of Demon Slayer Nanoblock figures. Only a limited number of figures will be available. This new collection of figures features eight Demon Slayer characters in the midst of fighting. Each figure costs ¥1,980 yen (or about $13), and they are scheduled to release on late October 2023. Pre-orders are now available from the Aniplex Plus online store.

The characters included in the new lineup are the Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, Kyojuro Rengoku, Tengen Uzui, Muichiro Tokito, and Mitsuri Kanroji.

Each figure stands at approximately 5mm tall and 4mm wide and long. Despite their small size, the figures depict each character performing one of their signature techniques from the anime and manga series.

Back in November 2022, Nanoblock released a different line of figures featuring characters from the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series. Other recent Demon Slayer merchandise includes a figure of Nezuko Kamado from the Mugen Train movie, as well as a Nendoroid of Tanjiro that includes kimono and pants made out of real fabric.

Nanoblock announced a Jujutsu Kaisen collection is in the works. In May 2023, four sets will appear. The US Twitter announced the items, confirming a worldwide release. People will be able to build Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, Megumi Fushiguro, and Satoru Gojo.

The four Jujutsu Kaisen Nanoblock sets will each let a person create a rather dynamic figure. Every one of them features a person in the midst of a fight. For example, with Nobara she is about to use the Straw Doll technique. She’s holding a nail in her left hand and her hammer in her right.

The announcement included some additional details about each one. Like most Nanoblock sets, they will be $12 each. They will create figures under three inches tall. However, it didn’t mention any difficulty levels for the characters. Each one will include 140-170 multicolor blocks.

Here's a closer look at all four of the sets. None of the characters appear to come with any kind of "base" to help them stand up and stay balanced.

Anime Nanoblock crossovers are quite common. For example, a Spy x Family collection of smaller, blind box sets will appear in January 2023. Neon Genesis Evangelion EVAs also were recreated in Nanoblock-form.

The Jujutsu Kaisen Yuji, Nobara, Megumi, and Satoru Nanoblock sets will debut in May 2023.

The Forger clan is ing the Nanoblock lineup. A new set of Spy x Family Nanoblock figures will appear in the United States and go on sale in January 2023. Part of the Mininano line, the set consists of six characters in total. Loid, Anya, and Yor Forger will each get two variants.

Each Spy x Family Nanoblock pack is sold individually for $6 USD each and contains one figure to build. The Mininano line is sold via a "blind box" system. Purchasers of individual packs won't know which figure is inside until they open it. However, a full box contains six packs, one for each figure, so that's a way to get the full set in a single bulk purchase.

Each figure stands about 1.59" tall (about 4cm) and needs to be assembled from the included blocks. The of the Forger family appear in color patterns designed to resemble their work and casual outfits. Loid wears his green suit and red tie, and his casual variant wears khakis and a blue shirt. Meanwhile, Anya wears the Eden Academy uniform, and an orange dress with a red skirt. Lastly, Yor wears a blue sweater and dress in her casual incarnation (with the head blocks colored different to represent her hair band), while her "work" variant reflects her evening dress-like assassin outfit, with protruding pieces to represent her pointy headdress.

The Spy x Family Nanoblock packs go on sale in January 2023 in North America. Other brands with a Nanoblock presence include Pokémon, Kirby, and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Kawada will release Nanoblock toys of Sinnoh Pokemon from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. They will come out on January 22, 2022. Each one will cost around 1045 JPY, which is around $9. The Pokemon that you will be able to buy Nanoblock kits of are Lucario, Garchomp, Glaceon, Leafeon, Piplup, Chimchar, and Turtwig. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

To be more precise, only the starter Pokemon (Chimchar, Piplup, Turtwig) will cost 1045 JPY. The other four will cost 1210 JPY ($10.45) each. These Nanoblock Pokemon are small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Because the beads are clear, you can shine a light through them to make them sparkle.

These seven Pokemon are some of the more iconic ones from Generation IV. Aside from the three starter Pokemon and the two new Eevee evolutions, Lucario is popular enough to appear in Super Smash Bros. and get its own movie. Meanwhile, Garchomp is a powerful Pokemon that many players use in the competitive scene.

Kawada first revealed this collection of Sinnoh Nanoblock Pokemon during the Brilliant Shining Festival in October 2021. Other merchandise that appeared during this event include a giant Garchomp plush, a Psyduck teapot, and various Pokemon-themed snacks. This collaboration was to commemorate the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, which launched less than a month after.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl are readily available worldwide on the Nintendo Switch. The Sinnoh Nanoblock Pokemon toys will become available from January 22, 2022.

Kawada unveiled a new Pokemon Nanoblock set, and it is another model of the Charizard. This version has been dubbed "Pokemon Charizard Deluxe," since the fully assembled kit is larger than normal ones. The model will cost 3,850 JPY (about $38). It will go on sale in November 2021 in Japan. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

According to its description, the blocks used to create this Nanoblock Charizard are larger than normal. This will allow for greater details in its model. The color-coding of its eyes and nails, as well as the shape of the wings and head, will be reproduced in detail.

This isn't the first Charizard set from Kawada. Nanoblock Pokemon set 008 is a smaller version of the character. Sets 057 and 058 let people create small Mega Charizard X and Y characters.

Previous Pokemon Nanoblock kits in the past included opportunities to build Galarian Slowpoke, Galarian Farfetch’d, and Galarian Ponyta from Pokemon Sword and Shield.

The Nanoblock Charizard will go on sale in November 2021 in Japan. Meanwhile, several Pokemon games will release soon. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl will launch on November 19, 2021, while Pokemon Legends: Arceus will launch on January 28, 2022.

A Kirby collection of sets is about to the Nanoblock line of blind bag Mini Nano. In September 2021, Kawada announced they will be released for 660円 (~$6) each. There will be six different models people can get. However, since Mini Nanos are blind bags, people won’t know which design is in the bag until they open it. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

This Kirby Nanoblock Mini Nano collection will have six characters total in it. Three are Kirby variants, while the other three are familiar enemies from the series. There will be a standard Kirby, one in the middle of inhaling, and a floating inflated Kirby. (The flying kirby will have a translucent stand people can build.) As for the enemies, Meta Knight, Kracko, and Waddle Dee appear.

While these are blind bag sets, there is a way to get all six. Each full box will include one of each character. At the moment, the only retailer outside of Japan offering that is Big Bad Toy Store, though this could change closer to the Nanoblock Mini Nano release date. It has the full set for $35.99. Amazon Japan doesn't have a listing for them yet.

There have been plenty of Nanoblock Mini Nano series based on popular characters. For example, sets involving Evangelion, My Hero Academia, Pokemon, Snoopy, and Ultraman characters are all available.

Some new Pokemon Nanoblock sets have been announced. It turns out old and new favorites will both be ing the line of tiny building kits. In September 2020. People in Japan will be able to find both the Galarian Ponyta and Lucario kits at that time. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The Pokemon Nanoblock Galarian Ponyta kit will mark the third Galarian variant in the line. Previously, Galarian Farfetch’d and Slowpoke sets were announced. (Those will launch in August 2020 in Japan.) This will be a three out of five-peg difficulty set with 200 building blocks. It will cost 1,300円 (~$12). This is the first time Ponyta will appear in Nanoblock form.

The Lucario set will also be a three out of five-peg difficulty model. However, it will only have 160 blocks in the kit. Its price is listed at 1,100円 (~$10).

Here are pictures of the two sets and their boxes. While an official worldwide release hasn’t been announced yet, it isn’t uncommon to find Pokemon Nanoblock sets in specialty stores or at places like Kinokuniya.

A new Pokemon Nanoblock set has been announced, and it has a neat twist to it. The Nanoblock Slowpoke comes with enough pieces to depict both of its forms. You can build a standard Slowpoke, which has been around since 1996. Or, if you use the optional pieces, you can build a Galarian Slowpoke, which debuted in 2020 as part of the Pokemon Sword and Shield Isle of Armor expansion. [Thanks, Bellicife!]

A diagram was released showing how this shift works, while the general gallery of Nanoblock Slowpoke pictures offers other customization options. The set includes enough yellow bricks to swap between a normal or Galarian version of the character. You can also put it together in such a way that the Slowpoke’s tail is posed flat or curved up in the air.

In addition to the Slowpoke, a second kit will be available the same day. It’s a Galarian Farfetch’d. However, its kit only comes with what you need to build that form of the character. There are no standard Farfetch’d pieces included. Though, this is likely due to an official kit for that variant having launched back in 2015.

The Nanoblock Slowpoke set will be available in August 2020 and cost 1,300円. It is a 2/5 difficulty level kit. The Nanoblock Galarian Farfetch’d will also be out in August 2020 and cost 1,300円.

A special Neon Genesis Evangelion Nanoblock Unit-02 is available to purchase. Like many recently released Evangelion goods and merchandise, this special Nanoblock Unit-02 was released to commemorate the release of Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0. The Evangelion Nanoblock costs ¥1,800, or roughly $16, and stands 10.8cm tall. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

Once assembled, Neon Genesis Evangelion Nanoblock Unit-02's limbs can be positioned to create more dynamic poses. No weapons are included with this Nanoblock kit. Fans will need to get creative with other kits if they want to add accessories to the Unit-02.

Neon Genesis Evangelion originally began its run in Japan in October 1995. Evangelion: Death (True)2, the edit of 1997’s Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth, appeared in 1998. The End of Evangelion appeared in 1997. The Rebuild of Evangelion films, which offer a different take on the story, began airing in Japan in 2007 with Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone. Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo appeared in 2009 and 2012.

Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 currently has no release date and has been delayed multiple times. It originally had a 2016 release window. A new scheduled release date has not yet been announced.
