The Overlord series movie Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom is set to release in Japan on September 20, 2024. Crunchyroll previously announced that it will handle the worldwide release, bringing the film to theaters in North America and select international regions, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Specific dates for these releases will be announced at a later time.

Overlord began as a light novel series in 2010 and was adapted into a manga and anime after. The story is set in a futuristic MMORPG and follows Satoru Suzuki, also known as Momonga, the guild master of a prominent guild in the game. When the game’s servers shut down, Suzuki became trapped in the body of his player character. He then reestablishes his guild and embarks on a quest to explore the world, seeking other players who might have experienced the same fate.

The Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom movie picks up after the conclusion of season 4 of the anime. Naoyuki Ito returns as director, with Satoshi Tasaki as the character designer and chief animation director, and Shuji Katayama (Team-MAX) handling the music for the MADHOUSE production.

Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom airs in movie theaters in Japan on September 20, 2024. The first four seasons of the anime series are available to watch on Crunchyroll. Both the manga and light novels are also available in English through Yen Press.

There’s quite a bit of Fate/stay Night Heaven’s Feel headed people’s way. The official Twitter confirmed some news. First in July 2021, Fate/stay Night Heaven’s Feel III. spring song movie will return to theaters. There will be showings on July 18, 2021 and July 20, 2021. Then, on August 17, 2021, the Fate/stay Night Heaven’s Feel III Blu-ray versions will appear.

Details about the next theater showings aren’t available yet. At the moment, all we know is people could purchase tickets on June 18, 2021. The Fathom Events page is open, however, in case people want to sign up to be alerted about more information.

As for the Fate/stay Night Heaven’s Feel III Blu-ray release, we know far more. There will be a $49.98 standard and $89.98 limited edition. (However, RightStuf has them for $39.98 and $69.98.) The standard version will include the movie and bonus items like PVs and commercials for it. The limited edition will also include an art book, Yuki Kajiura’s original soundtrack, a booklet with additional interviews, a Digipak, and a special rigid box. Both will have English and Japanese voice acting options.

Fate/stay Night Heaven’s Feel III. spring song is immediately available digitally via stores like Google Play, the PlayStation Store, and the Microsoft Store. It will appear in theaters July 18 and 20, 2021. The Fate/stay Night Heaven’s Feel III Blu-ray standard and limited editions will appear on August 17, 2021.

The latest Sonic movie box office numbers are in. Sonic the Hedgehog ended up making a little under $210 million worldwide between February 14-25, 2020. During that period of time, it ended up making $107,704,000 in the United States and $102,268,213 in other regions. This comes after the reveal that it made about $100 million during its opening weekend.

There’s an interesting element to consider when it comes to the Sonic movie box office success so far. It hasn’t been released in every region yet. Currently, people can see Sonic the Hedgehog in places like North America and Europe. However, the movie hasn’t launched in Japan or China yet. Its current Japanese launch date is March 27, 2020. However, its Chinese debut has been delayed due to the coronavirus.

While a release date for physical copies hasn’t been announced yet, a Steelbook version that gives people a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and digital copy has been confirmed. Stores like Best Buy are already taking preorders for the $34.99 film.

People in North America and Europe can catch the Sonic movie in theaters now. It will come to Japan on March 27, 2020. Paramount has not revealed when it will bring up a new Chinese release date.
