Once again, MegaHouse will release a collection of Sanrio Kaitai Puzzle Fantasy figures that shows the skeletons of the features characters, and this time the four in the collection will feature two My Melody designs and two Kuromi options. These launch at the end of June 2025 in honor of the characters’ anniversaries. (My Melody is turning 50, and Kuromi is 20.) As with past entries in this line, this will be a blind box collection, with a single one costing 1,210円 (~$8). So you won’t know which character or color you’ll get. Big Bad Toy Store is selling a full set of four, which is how they appear packaged on shelves, for $63.99. 

How it works is all of these Sanrio Kaitai Puzzle Fantasy Kuromi and My Melody figures is a figure you assemble by constructing the skeleton, then adding a layer showing part of the character on top of it. So you’ll start with the back half of the skeleton and pieces representing the heart and brain. Then, you put the “front” of the skeleton on. The puzzle is finished when you put on half of the character’s body so you can see their normal self on their right side and their skeleton still on their left. For this collection, the two Kuromi variants feature her with either a purple and white or black and white color scheme, and there are decorations on her ears. With My Melody, both options are pink and white, but her ears are either up or in a lop ear pose with decorations on them. Each one is 65mm (two and a half inches) tall.

We’ve seen these twice before. In 2023, models of Cinnamoroll, Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and My Melody showed up. Those variants only involved a pink and white My Melody and purple and white Kuromi. Another round returned in 2024, with Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, My Melody, and Pompompurin once again part of it. The run released in December 2024 in Japan included Hangyodon, Hello Kitty, another Kuromi variant, and Pochacco. Ones also appeared based on Justice League heroes and Delicious in Dungeon ones.

MegaHouse announced that 2B from NieR: Automata will become a Desktop Army figure. She’ll launch in the second half of October 2025 in Japan. She’ll cost 9,900円 (~$68). At time of writing, it seems the only store with worldwide shipping carrying it is AmiAmi, which is selling it for about $58.46.

The trademark of the Desktop Army line is that all of the characters are about 80mm (three inches) tall, and the figures are articulated, come with accessories, and are compatible with all past armor and accessories with other characters. This figure includes both 2B and Pod 042. You also get two swords with her, which are Virtuous Contract and Virtuous Treaty. These can be held in her hand or attached to her back.

Desktop Army is an established MegaHouse line of original figures that included plenty of crossovers prior to the 2B NieR: Automata announcement. For example, Persona 3’s Aigis ed the collection in 2021. One set brought Evangelion’s Shinji and Kaworu into the fold. There were also ones based on Fate/Stay Night characters, Princess Connect heroines, and Alice Gear units.

This isn’t the only recent NieR: Automata merchandise to appear. Square Enix shared a Black Box rubber tray with glow-in-the-dark elements as part of a new collection headed to Japan. 

MegaHouse’s NieR: Automata 2B Desktop Army figure will debut in Japan in late October 2025. The gamecan be found on the Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The NieR: Automata anime is streaming on Crunchyroll.

Megahouse teased two new Hatsune Miku x Gundam collaboration Lucrea figures inspired by the anime franchise. These are being created for the 45th anniversary of the Bandai Namco series. So far, the company has only shown the two key visuals for the figures, and there is no release date in sight.

While Bandai Namco and Megahouse have yet to offer a release window, the official website estimates that pre-orders will open sometime in 2025. The first of the two figures is inspired by the Wing Gundam Zero mech from the Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz film. The key visual shows Hatsune Miku wearing a white military uniform with white wings that combines Mobile Suit motifs with the image of an orchestra conductor. The illustration was created by Japanese artist neco.

Meanwhile, the second figure is inspired by the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 anime. The illustration shows Miku sitting on top of a pile of TVs showing the logos of the Celestial Being, the Advanced European Union, and the Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations from the Gundam 00 series. The TVs are sitting on a bed of flowers and Miku is holding a Haro robot that uses her color scheme. Artist Ixy was responsible for this design.

As a reminder, Good Smile Company recently announced a special Nendoroid to celebrate the 100th release of Hatsune Miku Nendoroid figures throughout the years.

Two new Hatsune Miku x Gundam Lucrea figures are currently in development. More information will appear in the future, and pre-orders will open sometime in 2025.

Megahouse has opened pre-orders for a new batch of the Precious G.E.M. Series figure featuring Ling Yao and Greed from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The company primarily set up the listing on the geo-locked Bandai website. However, Dengeki Hobby Web added that the figure is also available to order via AmiAmi, which s worldwide shipping. This figure depicts Ling Yao, who is being possessed by the homunculus Greed. The non-scale figure set has a total height of around 25 cm (~9.84 inches), with approximately 4 cm for the base and 21 cm for the actual figure.

Megahouse originally released the figure in October 2021 at 18,700 yen. The new restocked batch will appear in late June 2025 with a higher price tag of 22,000 yen (~$139.25).

The price tag for this restocked figure is still lower than several other Fullmetal Alchemist figures revealed in recent years, though. Proof released figure sets of Edward and Alphonse priced at 39,600 yen or almost $300 in 2023, as well as Roy and Maes that costed 61,600 yen or almost $400 in 2024.

The Precious G.E.M. Series figure of Ling Yao and Greed from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood will be available again in late June 2025.

Megahouse announced a re-release of the Persona 5 Royal Lucrea figure of Joker. The figure costs 24,200 yen (or approximately $153.19) and will release in Japan on late June 2025. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

Additionally, pre-orders for the figure will open on January 10, 2025 at 1pm JST. This version of the Joker figure will include a special acrylic stand inspired by the “Showtime” move that was introduced in P5R. Additionally, the new acrylic pedestal allows Joker to be posed alongside the Lucrea figure of Crow (Loki version.)

The static figure features Joker in a dynamic pose holding a knife backwards on his right hand. Extra parts are included with the figure, such as a hand part that allows Joker to hold a gun, and his Phantom Thief mask.

The original figure was revealed on January 2022 with a release date set for August of the same year. Other P5R Lucrea figures have appeared, such as a figure of Makoto Niijima and Futaba Sakura in their Phantom Thieves outfits.

The Persona 5 Royal Lucrea figure of Joker costs 24,200 yen (~$153.19.) Pre-orders open on January 10, 2025 in Japan, and its expected release date is late June 2025. Persona 5 Royal is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC.

MegaHouse announced another Naruto figure, and this time it is a Sakura Haruno one that is part of the GO line. She’ll arrive in June 2025 in Japan, followed by a worldwide release, and will cost 8,800円 (~$56). 

All of the characters in this line feature the characters from the Naruto series as children. (This is similar to the company’s One Piece Run Run Run collection.) So for this take on Sakura, she looks younger than she did even at the beginning of the series. Since she hasn’t officially started training as a ninja, she has a bow in her hair instead of her traditional headband. However, she still wears a similar red top.

Sakura isn’t the only character in this line. She’s the third Naruto GO one to show up. The first was Naruto Uzumaki himself. He’s set to appear in January 2025 in Japan. A Sasuke Uchiha one will launch in May 2025. Megahouse even shared a photo of the Sakura and Sasuke prototypes displayed together, to show how their poses could suggest they’d work together as a set.

The GEM Series Sakura Haruno GO Naruto figure will ship in June 2025, and it will be available worldwide. The Naruto and Boruto anime series are streaming on Crunchyroll, while Viz Media handles the manga series outside of Japan.

At Jump Festa 2025, MegaHouse displayed a life-size figure of Kakashi Hatake from Naruto Shippuden. The 1:1 statue’s design was based on the GEM Series Palm-size version of the character set to debut in 2025. 

This version of Kakashi was designated as a photo spot. He was posed at a kotatsu, and MegaHouse posed other figures from the series on top of the table. For example, in the one social media promotional image, a Look Up Naruto figure appeared there. In the actual photo spot image, the company had cups, oranges, and Nyaruto cats based on Naruto and Kakashi there.

While the 1:1, life-size Kakashi Hatake figure was on display, the palm-size version of the Naruto Shippuden is available to purchase and will launch worldwide. It will debut in Japan in late February 2025 for 7,920円 (~$50). AmiAmi, which ships worldwide, has a listing up for it for 6,730円 (~$43).

MegaHouse shared new photos and a release window for its next Portrait of Pirates One Piece Evolutionary History figure of Nami, which is based on her Egghead Island arc appearance. It will debut in Japan in July 2025. As MegaHouse items end up appearing worldwide, we’re already seeing Big Bad Toy Store also sharing a listing for it with an October 2025 launch window.

As this is a 25cm tall (9.8in) figure, this is one of the more expensive versions of Nami. She costs ¥19,800 (~$129) in Japan. Big Bad Toy Store’s listing has a $189.99 price tag. It is a static figure with no additional face plates or accessories. Nami wears her new outfit from the latest arc, as well as wields a gun.

This is the first in a new Portrait of Pirates Evolutionary History line of figures. We don’t know what the criteria for characters in this line will be or if it will specifically focus on appearances at certain points in the series.

When new One Piece episodes appear, they will sound a bit different. At the beginning of December 2024, we learned Kazuki would be retiring from the role of Franky. We’ll learn who will replace the Straw Hat member at Jump Festa 2025.

The Portrait of Pirates Evolutionary History One Piece Nami figure will debut in July 2025 in Japan. Viz Media handles the manga outside Japan. You can find the anime streaming on Crunchyroll and Netflix. The live-action adaptation is only on Netflix.

The Evangelion Asuka and Rei Look Up figures are available once again via Megahobby. They do not come as a set, so if you want both, you’ll need to purchase them separately.

Each Evangelion Look Up figure costs 4620 JPY (including tax), which would convert to approximately $30.20. They’ll ship out in late May 2025. Megahobby originally released these figures in December 2023, and they shipped out in June 2024 of this year. If you prefer the Evangelion boys, Megahobby also released Look Up figures of Shinji and Kaworu. These are not available right now via Megahobby though, so if you want them, you’ll need to purchase them secondhand or from another store.

Look Up figures are small palm-sized figures from Megahobby showing the character in question looking upwards. They usually have a chibi design, which makes them quite cute. While you can display them at home like a normal figure, their small size and particular pose means that you can also bring them outside and pose them next to something for photos. Some of the pictures on Megahobby’s site has the Look Up figures sitting next to food and drinks.

The Evangelion Asuka and Rei Look Up figures are re-running for a limited time and they’ll come out in late May 2025.

Yet another Bleach heroine is inspiring a figure, and this one is a MegaHouse Melty Princess one of Rukia Kuchiki. She will launch in May 2025 in Japan, though we don’t know when she’ll be available worldwide. She costs 8,800円 (~$58). 

Like other recent Bleach figures of characters like Toshiro Hitsugaya and Orihime Inoue, Rukia is based on her appearance in the recent Thousand-Year Blood War anime adaptation. This means her hair is slightly shorter than it was at the start of the series, she looks as though she’s grown up a bit more, and her uniform looks a bit different. She’ll stand (sit) at 85mm (3in) tall. Like other figures in the line, she’s about the right size to look like she could sit in a person’s hand.

One of the last MegaHouse Bleach figures included one of Rangiku Matsumoto.

The Bleach Rukia Kuchiki Melty Princess figure will launch in Japan in May 2025. There’s no North America release window yet. Pre-orders are open until November 20, 2024. Megahouse will release a Rubik’s Cube based off One Piece. It’ll come out in late March 2025 and cost 5500 JPY ($36.25). [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

The Rubik’s Cube will come in a case that resembles the Gomu Gomu no Mi. So you’ll be able to take it with you everywhere. You can also use the case itself for other objects. There’s even a loop at the side of it for you to fit in a carabinas, which would make it easy to take with you when you’re going outside.

As for the cube itself, it depicts how Luffy looks in his Gear 1 to Gear 5 forms. The whole set will also come with a stand, so once you finish the puzzle, you can put it on display in your home. When it comes out, you’ll be able to purchase it from stores like Bandai, Mugiwara Store, and Jump Characters Store.

This isn’t the first time this year that Megahouse released a Rubik’s Cube that’s a collaboration with another company or intellectual property. In May 2024, it released a Hello Kitty Rubik’s Cube to recommend the 50th anniversary of both Hello Kitty and the Rubik’s Cube toy. Technically speaking, you can solve it by placing all of the different Hello Kitty logos and designs in chronological order. But unlike the One Piece one, the Hello Kitty cube didn’t create a coherent picture. So even if you didn’t solve it, it would still look alright.

Megahouse shared new photos of and details about the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War figure of Orihime Inoue ing its Gals line of merchandise. While pre-orders are about to begin at Bandai in Japan on October 4, 2024, we won’t see her launch until February 2025. She’ll cost 26,180円 (~$179). Worldwide orders haven’t opened for her yet.

As this is a figure based on one of the most recent arcs in Bleach, this version of Orihime Inoue may look a bit different than we . She’s in an almost entirely white outfit, which takes more cues from the Hueco Mundo arc in the story. She is also in the midst of using Koten Zanshun to attack for this pose.

Orihime is one of the characters who hasn’t been confirmed for the new Bleach video game yet. While we know Ichigo, Rukia, Uryu, and Chad will appear in the Bleach Rebirth of Souls roster, she hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Orihime Inoue figure will launch in Japan in February 2025, and there’s no expected worldwide release window for it just yet. However, as Megahouse products do appear worldwide, we should see that happen eventually next year. The Bleach anime, including Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, can be found on Disney+ and Hulu. Megahouse has revealed a new figure based on Lacus Clyne with her pilot suit from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom movie. The company will release this figure on the Japanese Bandai web store in March 2025 with a price tag of 24,200 yen (~$169.99). [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

Unlike the SH Figuarts action figure, this one will be completely static with no movable parts. The hair parts will be made to emulate it being blown by the wind. This new Lacus figure will have a total height of around 22 cm (~8.66 inches).

The company first revealed its plans to produce this figure in June 2024. It finally completed a prototype of the figure three months later, and it has also shared new sample images. Megahouse will open the pre-order period on September 13, 2024.

MegaHouse announced that 1.5 versions of Monkey D. Luffy and Boa Hancock will the One Piece Variable Action Heroes figure line in February 2025. He will cost 10,450円 (~$72), while she will be 10,890円 (~$75). 

The two figures both come with multiple faces and extra parts. So Boa has four face plates, while Luffy comes with three. However, Luffy also includes an actual fabric cape people can pose around him and his hat. Since Boa doesn’t have a cape or hat, her additional part is the heart effect like the one that appears when she uses her Love-Love Fruit ability. 

Here are the initial photos of both 1.5 versions of the One Piece Luffy and Boa Hancock figures MegaHouse shared with us. While there are none of the two side-by-side to compare heights, the Luffy one is slightly shorter. He stands at 165mm (~6.5in), while she is 190mm tall (~7.5in).

These aren’t the only 1.5 versions of Variable Action Heroes characters from the series on the way. In June 2024, MegaHouse announced a new version of Shanks. Like Luffy, he comes with a fabric cape.

The MegaHouse Monkey D. Luffy and Boa Hancock will the One Piece Variable Action Heroes figures will appear in Japan in February 2025, and they are expected to launch worldwide after that. Megahouse will release a new toy based on Hanako of the Toilet, a popular Japanese urban legend. It’ll come out in early August 2024.

The toy is called “Dokkiri Hanako of the Toilet,” and it’s quite similar to toys like Pop Up Pirate. Each player will take turns pulling down the lever of the toilet. Depending on your luck, something will pop out of the toilet on your turn. Items that will pop out are a bug, toilet paper, or Hanako herself. This toy will not require any batteries and will cost 3278 JPY ($22.70).

Hanako of the Toilet, or Hanako-san, is a very famous urban legend that pretty much everyone in Japan knows about. There are various backstories for Hanako depending on the version you hear. But in general, she’s a young girl named Hanako who haunts school toilets. Like with Bloody Mary, some children may try to summon Hanako-san as a dare or a game. Because of her popularity and ubiquity, many Japanese properties feature Hanako-san as a character, or base a character off her. Examples include Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun and Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II.

The Hanako of the Toilet toy will come out some time in early August 2024. So it should be out some time soon.
