Capcom has revealed a new collection of rubber keychains modeled after the Mettaur from its Mega Man Battle Network game series. The company will gradually put the keychains up for sale in Japan between late January 2025 and early February 2025.

The miniature Mettaur will stand at around 32 mm (~1.26 in) tall in five color variants. In addition to the regular yellow version, Capcom will also feature the red Mettaur2, the blue Mettaur3, the gray MettaurSP, and the green MettaurEX as they appear in the original GBA games. As a reminder, All six mainline entries of the series are available in the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Before the keychains appear in capsule toy vending machines in February 2025, Capcom will sell them first in its physical and online storefronts with an alternate claw clasp on January 31, 2025. While the capsule toys will cost 500 yen per pull, the store editions will cost more at 770 yen apiece, and Capcom will also hand out the item randomly to emulate the vending machines. The company has also confirmed plans to release a 5-in-1 complete box, although it has still yet to inform the price tag for such a box.

The Mega Man Battle Network Mettaur rubber keychains will be available first in Capcom's Japanese physical and online stores on January 31, 2025. The company will also release the items via capsule toy vending machines in early February 2025.

Infolens has revealed a new lineup of merchandise featuring characters from Capcom's Ghost Trick, Mega Man Battle Network, and Ace Attorney series. The company will gradually put these items up for sale from early February 2025.

The items originally appeared at the physical Tokyo Game Show 2024 venue in Chiba, Japan, in September 2024. Infolens will thus make the items available for sale more widely. Pre-orders for the items are immediately available on Infolens Geek Shop. The company will also later put the same items up on Amazon Japan.

The lineup's highlight is the collection of plush keychains that encom all three featured franchises. It features Sissel, Ray, Lynne, and Kamila from Ghost Trick, as well as Lan Hikari, MegaMan.EXE, Eugene Chaud, ProtoMan.EXE, and the Mettaur from the Battle Network series. Meanwhile, the Ace Attorney series is represented by Phoenix Wright (in lawyer and hobo attires), Miles Edgeworth (with and without glasses), Apollo Justice, Trucy Wright, and Klavier Gavin.

Kotobukiya has shared images of the prototype for its Mega Man Battle Network model kit of Bass.EXE. The company will showcase the prototype at the All Japan Model & Hobby Show 2024, which will take place at Tokyo Big Sight on October 12-13, 2024.

The company has also provided more details about the production of the new model kit on its website. It noted that specific attention will be placed on the body pattern, the chest's scars, and the iconic cloak.

When Kotobukiya first announced plans to produce the Bass.EXE model kit in February 2024, it only provided Capcom's 2D artwork of the character. The company has since made major progress in the model kit's production, as it has shared images of the fully-painted prototype.

Bass.EXE will be the third main NetNavi from the Battle Network series to have a model kit released by Kotobukiya. The company has previously released kits based on MegaMan.EXE (along with his Dark MegaMan alter ego) and Roll.EXE.

The Mega Man Battle Network model kit of Bass.EXE is still under production. Kotobukiya will inform the pre-order and release windows of the kit in the near future.

Capcom has launched a new Cap Kuji Online lottery that features merchandise from the Mega Man Battle Network series. People can purchase lottery tickets that cost 880 yen (~$6.15) each for a definite chance to win a random item based on the game series.

The grand prizes of this lottery will be the big Capcorom plushes of Hub Style and Dark MegaMan.EXE. With a size of around 30 cm (~11.81 inches), these plushes will be larger than the ones available for purchase in Capcom's Japanese physical stores.

Here is the complete list of prizes in this Kuji lottery, along with the winning probability for each tier. The chance to get an exact item will have to be divided even further based on the tier's probability and the number of item varieties in the same tier.

Kotobukiya has revealed a new version of its MegaMan.EXE plastic model kit. This kit will have the new moniker " Charge Shot Ver." and it will be available in December 2024 at 7,480 yen (~$51.20).

This will not be the first kit to feature the moniker, though. Kotobukiya had previously released a Charge Shot Version of the Mega Man X model kit in 2019. The company applies pearlescent or iridescent to the main model to add light-reflective effects while also changing the colors of attack effect parts.

" Charge Shot" is a bit of a misnomer for the new version of MegaMan.EXE model kit though, as the set will not include a shooting effect from his Buster. Kotobukiya will instead change the colors of the Life Sword and its attack effects from clear green to iridescent green.

Here are the direct comparison images showing the color differences. The left one is from the original version that came out in 2022, and the right one shows the new Charge Shot version.

The kit will be exclusively available on the Kotobukiya Online Shop in Japan with guaranteed stocks for people who have pre-ordered by September 17, 2024. The company suggests those who reside in other countries local partner retailers for the kit's availability.

Kotobukiya will release the MegaMan.EXE Charge Shot Version model kit in December 2024.

Capcom has revealed two new Capcorom plushies inspired by MegaMan.EXE from the Mega Man Battle Network series. The company will start selling these new plushies in Japan in late August 2024.

Capcom will specifically model the two new plushies after the alternate forms of MegaMan.EXE. One of them will be based on the Hub Style, which is also alternatively known in Japan as the Saito Style Rockman.EXE. The other will be inspired by Dark MegaMan.EXE, complete with the red eyes.

Each plush will be available for purchase for 1,100 yen (~$7.60) at Capcom stores in Tokyo and Osaka on August 30, 2024. Capcom will add the same items to its online crane game Capcom Net Catcher on August 31, 2024. The latter will give chances for people who live elsewhere in Japan and cannot easily visit the stores to get the plushies.

The new Mega Man Battle Network MegaMan.EXE Capcorom plushies will be available in Japan on August 30, 2024. The items will be modeled after the grid-based battle RPG series that originally appeared on the Game Boy Advance in the 2000s. People can now play all mainline entries of the series again with Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Kotobukiya shared more prototype images for its Mega Man X, Axl, Sigma, and Bass model kits from Capcom's Mega Man metaseries. All of them appeared at the 62nd Shizuoka Hobby Show held in May 2024.

The first two kits revealed are the Mega Man X7 debutant Axl and an enhanced version of Mega Man X. Axl will appear in his default attire, while X will don the Max Armor from Mega Man X3 while using the Triad Thunder special weapon.

The prototypes for both kits have been fully painted, and Kotobukiya will gradually open pre-orders for each of them in the coming days.

At the same time, Kotobukiya also published unpainted prototypes of Sigma and the Battle Network character Bass.EXE. The company has made progress on both characters' model kits ever since it made the initial announcements in February 2024. However, these kits will take more time until release since their prototypes have not been painted yet.

The Reploids X, Axl, and Sigma appear in the Mega Man X series, while Bass.EXE is a NetNavi who appeared in the Mega Man Battle Network series. Capcom has released Legacy Collections for both series on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC worldwide. The Mega Man X Legacy Collection is also available on Xbox One.

Kotobukiya will produce and release even more plastic model kits modeled after Capcom's Mega Man metaseries. The company newly revealed at Kotobukiya Collection 2024 that it will produce new model kits of Sigma from the Mega Man X series and Bass.EXE from the Battle Network series. The Mega Man franchise kits of Sigma and Bass.EXE are still in a very early development phase, so Kotobukiya has yet to share any prototype samples for either character. It instead published unpainted prototypes of the weapon variant Mega Men.

Two of them are the Scramble Thunder and Pile Driver, both of which came from Mega Man 11. In the original game, Mega Man would obtain the weapons by defeating Fuse Man and Impact Man, respectively. The other unpainted prototype features Mega Man X in Max Armor with the Triad Thunder weapon obtained from destroying Volt Catfish in Mega Man X3. A painted prototype of Black Zero, who debuted in Mega Man X4, completes the new lineup.

People who reside in Tokyo, Japan, can visit the plastic model kit exhibition on the 5th floor of Kotobukiya's Akihabara store to take a direct look at the new Mega Man model kit prototypes. The exhibition also includes kits that have been already announced or even released, such as the regular Mega Man from Mega Man 11 and MegaMan.EXE, and Roll.EXE from Battle Network. The Kotobukiya Collection 2024 event will run until February 4, 2024.

A Mega Man Battle Network theme will appear at Capcom Cafe in early 2024. Capcom announced that it will change the theme starting on January 26, 2024, and that it will run until March 25, 2024. It will be available at both of the cafe's active outlets on the 3rd floor of Grandscape Ikebukuro in Tokyo and the 13th floor of Daimaru Umeda in Osaka.

Capcom has also shared a key visual for the special cafe theme. It hints that the collaboration will focus on the NetNavis MegaMan.EXE, ProtoMan.EXE, Bass.EXE, Colonel.EXE, and SearchMan.EXE. The cafe's collaboration themes usually come with merchandise based on the featured characters and a food and beverage menu inspired by the franchise. However, Capcom has still yet to reveal the details of this theme. It will make another announcement in the near future.

Capcom Cafe has been regularly holding special collaboration themes based on the company's game franchises like Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry, and Sengoku Basara. It also occasionally featured other external anime franchises, such as Evangelion and The Quintessential Quintuplets.

The Mega Man Battle Network theme at Capcom Cafe in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, and Umeda, Osaka, will be available from January 26, 2024, to March 25, 2024. Capcom will base this theme on the chip-based battle RPG series that originally appeared on the Game Boy Advance in the early 2000s. Kotobukiya has opened pre-orders for its plastic model kit of the Mega Man Battle Network NetNavi Roll.EXE. People can now place orders for the kit at 7,920 yen (~$53.65). The set will be officially available in April 2024.

The company has also shared more sample images with new parts that were not seen during the prototype's reveal in late September 2023. The set will come with four face parts that change Roll.EXE's expressions from happy to serious. It will also include the Roll Arrow that the owner can attach to Roll.EXE's hand as her weapon.

Some of the new sample images also feature Roll.EXE posing with MegaMan.EXE. Kotobukiya had previously released the series hero's model kit in late 2022.

The kit may also come with a different bonus item based on where people place the orders. The Japan-exclusive Kotobukiya Online Shop will provide a sheet modeled after the battlefield tiles commonly seen in the Battle Network games. AmiAmi, which s worldwide shipping, will instead offer an acrylic figure stand with Roll.EXE's artwork.

Kotobukiya revealed a painted prototype for a plastic model kit to make a figure of Roll from the Mega Man Battle Network series. The company added a disclaimer that the newly published images may yet represent the final product. It is still awaiting design approval from Capcom as the franchise's licensor.

The non-scale model kit will faithfully reproduce Roll.EXE's appearance on all sides from front to back. The images also revealed that the set will include multiple facial expression plates.

Roll.EXE is a NetNavi owned by Mayl Sakurai, the heroine of Mega Man Battle Network. The series originated as games on the Game Boy Advance. In April 2023, Capcom released Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection which compiles all mainline titles for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.

This Roll figure will the ever-growing list of Mega Man-themed model kits that Kotobukiya made. The company had released model kits of Battle Network's MegaMan.EXE, Dark MegaMan, and Mettaur in 2022. It also previously made kits of the original Mega Man, Mega Man X, and Zero from the Mega Man Zero series.

The Roll plastic model kit is under development by Kotobukiya and supervision by Capcom. The companies have yet to announce the release and pre-order timeframes as of September 2023.

Megahouse announced that pre-orders for the new recolor of the Mega Man Battle Network diorama figure of MegaMan.EXE and Bass.EXE will open in June 9, 2023, and they will close in late July 2023. The figure costs 19,800 JPY (or roughly $141). It is expected to come out in Japan sometime in late November 2023. Pre-orders will be available from the Bandai, AmiAmi, and eCapcom stores. The new Mega Man Battle Network diorama figure is part of the Game Characters Collection DX line of figures. The statue features a fierce battle between MegaMan.EXE and his rival Bass.EXE.

The statue is a rerelease of the figure with a new color scheme. The previous figure featured more toned-down colors, while the new version 1.5 includes a more vibrant palette, alongside golden highlights in places like the diorama base. Additionally, MegaMan.EXE’s battle mask can be removed.

Medabot S will feature a third collaboration event with Mega Man Battle Network, and it will add Dark MegaMan.EXE as a Medabot character. The crossover event will appear in the mobile game starting on April 6, 2023 in Japan. The event will also include new costumes based on MMBN human characters. In addition to adding a Medabot character based on Dark MegaMan.EXE, the game will also offer seven costumes based on human characters from the Mega Man Battle Network series. These will be a Lan Hikari costume for Ikki, a Mayl Sakurai costume for Arika, a Eugene costume for Koji, a Yai Ayanokoji costume for Karin, a Tamako Shiraizumi costume for Samantha, a Higsby costume for Spike, and a Dex Oyama costume for Sloan.

Medabot S: Unlimited Nova released in Japan on January 23, 2020 for Android and iOS devices. This is the third crossover event with this series. The previous two events added several Mega Man Battle Network characters, including MegaMan.EXE, Roll.EXE, Bass.EXE, and Protoman.EXE. Other crossover events for Medabot S included an August 2022 event with Full Metal Panic, and most recently a January 2023 event with Evangelion.

The Medabot S x Mega Man Battle Network collaboration event will appear from April 6, 2023. The game is available in Japan for Android and iOS devices. In addition, the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection releases for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC on April 14, 2023.
