Imagineer announced that it will hold a new wave of the Zoids crossover event in Medabots S. The re-run with additional new units will take place for roughly a month from December 12, 2024, then end in January 2025.

The new wave will have three new Medabots inspired by Zoids that did not appear previously. The Zoids in question will be Storm Sworder, Death Stinger, and Gojulas. Each unit will be available to obtain via an exclusive gacha banner.

As a reminder, Imagineer held the first crossover wave in late 2023. It added five new Medabots modeled after the Blade Liger, Shield Liger, Command Wolf, Geno Saurer, and Death Saurer. Players who missed the first event will have another chance to get all of the five returning units in the re-run.

In addition, Imagineer will add a new costume inspired by Zoids: Chaotic Century's Irvine for the Medabots S character Ikki. The company will also bring back Van's attire for Azuma and Raven's costume for Kohaku that appeared in the first wave.

A new Medabots S crossover event will add content inspired by Mega Man X. Imagineer revealed that the special event will appear in the mobile game on February 22, 2024. Players will be able to obtain exclusive Medabots modeled after characters like X, Zero, Sigma, and Vile. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Here is the full list of the Mega Man X-themed Medabots, along with the methods to obtain each of them:

• Hunter X - based on Mega Man X - available from clearing the special Robattle event
• Full Armor X - based on X's armor set from the first game - available from the gacha banner on February 22, 2024
• Vava Pride - based on Vile - available from the gacha banner on February 22, 2024
• Elite Zero - based on Zero - available from the gacha banner on February 29, 2024
• Fixer Sigma - based on Sigma - available from the gacha banner on March 7, 2024

The collaboration will also add more Mega Man X-themed content other than new Medabots. A limited Medarotter gacha banner will give players chances to obtain an Iris costume for Anis and an Alia costume for Kirara. The special Robattle event that rewards Hunter X will also come with a Mega Man X BGM set that contains "," "Vile 1," and "Sigma Stage 1~4". Imagineer will also sell more tracks from the Mega Man X series at the in-game shop during the event period.

Mega Man X will be the second series from Capcom's Mega Man franchise to appear in Medabots S. Imagineer had previously held a crossover event with Mega Man Battle Network in 2021. The collaboration proved to be so popular that Imagineer and Capcom added two more event waves in 2022 and 2023.

Medabots S is available on Android and iOS mobile devices exclusively in Japan. The Mega Man X crossover event will run from February 22, 2024, to March 21, 2024.

Imagineer will hold a new Medabots S collaboration with the Zoids franchise on October 5, 2023. The new crossover event will primarily convert five Zoids into playable Medabots. They will be the Blade Liger, Shield Liger, Command Wolf, Geno Saurer, and Death Saurer. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Players will be able to obtain the Shield Liger by playing an event battle that runs until November 26, 2023. The remaining units will be available from rotating gacha banners. The crossover will also feature custom skins colored after the Lightning Saix, Blade Liger Mirage, Bloody Death Saurer, and Geno Breaker.

Imagineer has also ed a new trailer showcasing the Zoids collaboration on the Medabots S YouTube channel.

Imagineer has been holding numerous collaborations for Medabots S, which started a year after its 2020 launch. It has notably collaborated multiple times with Capcom's Mega Man Battle Network series. The mobile game also had crossovers with Evangelion, Digimon, and Full Metal Panic.

While the franchise originally known in Japan as Medarot is still thriving in its home country, Imagineer neglected the overseas market long enough for its European trademark to expire and be claimed by another entity. The Japanese company is on track to reclaim the trademark after winning a new trial at the Spanish Commercial Courts of Alicante in September 2023.

Medabots S is immediately available as a free-to-play game on iOS and Android mobile devices in Japan. The Zoids crossover content will appear on October 5, 2023.

Medabot S will feature a third collaboration event with Mega Man Battle Network, and it will add Dark MegaMan.EXE as a Medabot character. The crossover event will appear in the mobile game starting on April 6, 2023 in Japan. The event will also include new costumes based on MMBN human characters. In addition to adding a Medabot character based on Dark MegaMan.EXE, the game will also offer seven costumes based on human characters from the Mega Man Battle Network series. These will be a Lan Hikari costume for Ikki, a Mayl Sakurai costume for Arika, a Eugene costume for Koji, a Yai Ayanokoji costume for Karin, a Tamako Shiraizumi costume for Samantha, a Higsby costume for Spike, and a Dex Oyama costume for Sloan.

Medabot S: Unlimited Nova released in Japan on January 23, 2020 for Android and iOS devices. This is the third crossover event with this series. The previous two events added several Mega Man Battle Network characters, including MegaMan.EXE, Roll.EXE, Bass.EXE, and Protoman.EXE. Other crossover events for Medabot S included an August 2022 event with Full Metal Panic, and most recently a January 2023 event with Evangelion.

The Medabot S x Mega Man Battle Network collaboration event will appear from April 6, 2023. The game is available in Japan for Android and iOS devices. In addition, the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection releases for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC on April 14, 2023.

Not only will the Medabots get Evangelion colors, but there will also be humans wearing clothing based on the Evangelion characters' outfits. The six Eva Unit themes that you will be able to collect once the collaboration starts are:

You can also get skins for the humans to make them look like characters from Evangelion. For example, Arase (the protagonist) will, fittingly, get a costume that looks like Shinji’s plugsuit. Other outfits you can get include those of Rei, Asuka, Mari, and Kaworu.

Medabots S is a mobile game for the Medabots series, and it is only available in Japan. It has had many collaboration events in the past, with limited attires for both the humans and the Medabots. Examples include an event with Full Metal Panic, as well as one with Mega Man Battle Network.

Medabots S is available on Android and iOS devices, and the Neon Genesis Evangelion collaboration event will start from January 5, 2023.

Medabots S will have more crossover content from Mega Man Battle Network. Imagineer revealed the second collaboration event with Capcom's franchise that will go live in the mobile game on October 13, 2022. It will add four new Medabots designed after NetNavis from the MMBN series.

ProtoMan.EXE, who is alternatively known in Japan as Blues.EXE, will have a Medabots counterpart named SwordBlues. Likewise, the Battle Network 5 debutant Colonel.EXE will become LeaderColonel. GutsMan.EXE will also appear as GutsForce. The extended roster will wrap up with Uranade, a Medabots version of Serenade.EXE, the boss of Battle Network 3's Secret Area.

The first MMBN crossover content for Medabots S appeared in August 2021. The event added Medabots version of MegaMan.EXE, Roll.EXE, and Bass.EXE, which Imagineer named as RockTrans, HeartRoll, and Fortate, respectively. Players who missed the three units previously will have another chance to obtain them in this time-limited event.

Medabots S is available on iOS and Android devices in Japan. The second wave of Mega Man Battle Network crossover content will appear in the mobile game on October 13, 2022. In its press release, Imagineer noted that it will add the new content to help promote Capcom's release of Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2023.

Medabots S will have a new collaboration event with the Full Metal Panic! mecha anime series. Players of the mobile game will be able to obtain the crossover content for a limited time from August 25, 2022.

Imagineer will convert three Arm Slave mechs from Full Metal Panic! into Medabots with different names. It will turn the ARX-7 Arbalest into Kasimlest, the ARX- 8 Laevatein into Urzutein, and the Plan-1055 Belial into Silbelial. Medabots S characters will also receive new attires inspired by Full Metal Panic! characters, such as Sousuke Sagara and Teletha Testarossa.

The company has also ed a trailer promoting the new collaboration on the Medabots series' YouTube channel. It specifically mentioned that the title it collaborated with is Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory, the third and latest mainline season to date that aired in 2018.

Imagineer announced that its mobile game Medabots S will have new collaboration content based on Capcom's Mega Man Battle Network series. The former will create new Medabots inspired by three famous NetNavis. This special event will be available for a limited time from August 5 to 19, 2021. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The three NetNavis featured are MegaMan.EXE, Bass.EXE, and Roll.EXE. The new Medabots, named after their Japanese names, are Rock Trance, Fortate, and Heart Roll.

Rock Trance and Fortate will be available exclusively through gacha. The Medabots collaboration event will also let players collect exclusive points to obtain Heart Roll and four tracks from the Mega Man Battle Network soundtrack.

Capcom is celebrating the Mega Man Battle Network series' 20th anniversary in 2021. While the company has yet to announce any new games or ports, it ed soundtracks from the entire mainline series to digital music platforms like Spotify in April 2021. It also gathered licensing partners to release merchandise related to the series' anniversary.

This collaboration will appear in Medabots S, which is immediately available for Android and iOS devices in Japan. The Mega Man Battle Network event will run from August 5 to 19, 2021. Imagineer and Bandai Namco officially announced a two-way collaboration between Medabots and Digimon. Content from each franchise will appear in the mobile games through collaboration events that run throughout April 2021. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

This tie-up originated as an elaborate April Fools joke first posted on the Japanese Medabots Twitter in 2020. Exactly one year later, Imagineer and Bandai Namco both turned this prank into reality with a legitimate collaboration.

Imagineer has added three new robots inspired by popular Digimon into Medabots S. They are Omega Knights (based on Omegamon/Omnimon), Grey Wars (based on WarGreymon), and Garuru Metal (based on MetalGarurumon). Players can obtain Garuru Metal by collecting data items, while Grey Wars and Omega Knights are exclusively available through gacha.

This event marks the second major collaboration in Medabots S. Previously in February 2021, the game held its first-ever external collaboration with Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045.

Bandai Namco also added crossover content to its Digimon products. The Japanese version of Digimon ReArise received the additions of Metabee, Rokusho, and an original combined Digimon called Omedamon. Bandai is also producing a Medabots DiM Card that can be used with the Digital Monster Vital Bracelet.

Medabots S and Digimon ReArise are both available on Android and iOS mobile devices. Although Bandai Namco released a global version of Digimon ReArise, this collaboration exists only in the separate Japanese server due to licensing restrictions.

Imagineer announced the first-ever collaboration event for Medabots S. The Medabots mobile game will add content inspired by Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045. It will feature original Medabots and costumes based on characters from the sci-fi show. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The collaboration will add three new Medabots inspired by Ghost in the Shell characters. Nine's Leader is based on Motoko Kusanagi, Muscle Borg is modeled after Batou, and Oil Clay bears a resemblance to the Tachikoma. Nine's Leader and Muscle Borg will be available through a limited pick-up gacha pool, while Oil Clay is obtainable by gathering tickets from clearing the event-exclusive Robattle.

Imagineer will also add exclusive costumes based on Motoko and Batou that can be worn by Medabots S characters Hisaki and Arase, respectively. These costumes can be obtained from the ticket exchange and as bonuses.

Medabots S is immediately available on Android and iOS devices in Japan. The game recently celebrated its first anniversary after it launched on January 23, 2020. The Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 collaboration event will be held on February 4-18, 2021.

Although Imagineer also released the Medabots Classics Plus compilation on Nintendo Switch, the franchise never had a localization outside Japan since the 2003 GameCube title Medabots Infinity. The trademark was even left to expire in Europe, that another person eventually claimed it and triggered a lawsuit at the EU Trademark Court.

Late last month, an interview with leader of Imagineer's Medabots team Unohee, was released. He explained just how Medabots S ended up being a smartphone game, and how other options are still open. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Please tell us about how the Medabots S project got started.

Unohee, Medabots team leader: "Firstly, if Imagineer were to find the right timing to make another Medabots, I had the responsibility as the one who closed off the previous Imagineer Medabots age to take the lead. Imagineer has always kept the rights to make another Medabots, and didn't get rid of the copyright either.

I've always said since the [Docomo] i-Mode days that it's better to play Medabots on mobiles. "Wouldn't it be fun if we could play Medabots on Docomo phones?", I said. When mobile games like Gree's took off, and when the iPhone came out, I said, "Shouldn't we release a Medabots app?", but it didn't come to fruition.

And for Medabots S... to put it quite simply, it was just the right timing."

4Gamer: On the other hand, did you ever want to release a Medabots for home consoles?

Unohee: "It's true that I hear "I want Medabots to release on PS4" a lot. Medabots on PS4 definitely would be fun. Medabots R wasn't really bad... except for its long loading times."

4Gamer: True, there was some stress thanks to that.

Unohee: "Right? If you could smoothen that out, it could definitely work as a console game."

4Gamer: Maybe something like a Medabots in VR where you give orders to the Medabots right in front of you...

Unohee: "I think that would work. Actually, I think there are around 3,4000 3D models for the Medabots? There isn't much content out there with so many 3D models of such cool-looking robots, so I hope there will be the opportunity to have someone make one." (laughs)

The smartphone game Medabots S has finally gotten a release date, and players will need to wait until January 23, 2020 in order to play the game.

The game keeps the series' traditional Robattle systems, being command-based with customizable parts. Previously, the game had a Fall/Winter 2019 window, meaning it was pushed back, likely for the usual reasons.

Story-wise, we follow main character Arase Osumi as he finds himself entering a Robattle tournament called the “Medalympics” where the winners can have any wish granted. Throughout the game, he finds out about other organizations, such as evil militants after the prize, who will do anything to get in the way of others.

Medabots S will begin service on iOS and Android on January 23, 2020.

We last heard about the Medabots smartphone game Medabots S back in May. Early registration is now up along with a new trailer from Imagineer that gives us a peek at how the Robattle RPG plays.

Medabots S features a 3v3 battle system that fans of the Medabots series are familiar with. The game features its own original characters along with popular characters from the Medabots series. It is command-based and comes with customizable parts. As for its genre, it’s simply a Robattle game for smartphones.

The main character Arase Osumi finds  himself entering a Robattle tournament called the “Medalympics” where the winners can have any wish granted. As we play through the game we learn more about other organizations, such as evil militants that are also aiming for the prize and will do anything to get in the way of others.

Those interested in trying out the game in Japanese, the official website kicked off early registrations with a campaign going on with the highest goal of 100,000 registrations.

The Robattles are coming to smartphones with a new Medabots game called Medabots S after announcing that a mobile project was in the works back in November. Here’s a first look.

You can watch the full presentation in the above video. The developers say that the full title is actually Medabots S, and the “Unlimited Nova” part is simply a phrase that packs the developers’ feelings of enthusiasm into, but they specifically said that it isn’t a subtitle for the game.

When asked what kind of game it is, the developers say that it is simply a “Robattle” game. The above is a first look at the battle screen that shows a familiar 3v3 set up.

Here’s the main character and his main Medabot buddy. The story starts when the protagonist somehow gets a hold of a Medabot and decides to enter a Robattle tournament called “Medalympics.”

The winner of this tournament will have any wish granted… or so they say. He dreamt of the opportunity to enter this tournament, but it appears that there’s a shady organization of militants that are also aiming for the prize and will get in the way. Will the Robattle beginner protagonist find a way to battle his way to the top through various adversities?
