Sony and Lego are teaming up to release the first playset based on Lego Horizon Adventures. The playset, which is called Aloy & Varl vs Shell-Walker & Sawtooth, is set to release on March 1, 2025. The playset is currently available to pre-order from the official Lego site. It will cost $44.99.

The new Lego Horizon Adventures playset features two machines, which are the Shell-Walker and Sawtooth. The Shell-Walker is a crab-like machine that is used to transport materials around. It’s recognizable for its prominent shell container and shield. The Sawtooth is a machine similar to a big cat that is one of Horizon’s more aggressive machines. It was first seen in Horizon Zero Dawn when the player is taught how to use a Tripcaster. The playset also comes with minifigs of Horizon protagonist Aloy and Varl, a fellow Nora tribesman who assists Aloy on her adventures.

The PlayStation Blog features a video discussing the process of deg the Lego Horizon Adventures playset, as designers from both Lego and Guerrilla collaborated to make the machines work in Lego form. They explain that the machines were chosen as they were favorites of the designers.

The set is primarily based on the Lego Horizon Adventures game, which released in 2024 and featured a more family-friendly take on Horizon Zero Dawn. However, this was not the first time Sony and Lego collaborated on a project. A Tallneck was previously released as an adult set. That is still available now.

During the Summer Game Fest on June 7, 2024, a trailer for Lego Horizon Adventures came out. This will be available on not only the PlayStation 5, but also the Nintendo Switch and PC.

This will be a crossover title between Lego and the Horizon Zero Dawn franchise .In the trailer, we saw a Lego version of Aloy roaming around, exploring, and defeating enemies. It seems like there’s some sort of multiplayer function in the game, as you can attack your friends. However, it seems that the multiplayer is limited to you and a friend. There’s also a build function where you can set up your own base.

You can watch the trailer here. It includes references to Horizon Zero Dawn, as well as Forbidden West. A number of returning enemies, as well as some of Aloy's allies, all show up during it in Lego form.

Lego Horizon Adventures will come out during the holiday season 2024 for the PS5, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch.
