The final chapter of Arc 2 of Fate/Grand Order will appear for the Japanese server in Winter 2025. Lasengle will announce more detailed information on the exact date closer to the season.

Arc 2 encomes the Cosmos in the Lostbelt and Ordeal Call chapters, and started in December 2017. On the global server, it started in 2020. Cosmos in the Lostbelt focuses on the aftermath of defeating Goetia, in which seven of the original Chaldea Masters awaken from cryogenic sleep and work to revert the world to the Age of the Gods. Ordeal Call, which started in 2023, takes place after the destruction of the seventh Lostbelt. It focuses on the Extra Class Servants (Alter Ego, Avenger, Moon Cancer, Foreigner, and Ruler).

Aside from the Arc 2 story winding down, the Japanese server of Fate/Grand Order will also have Grand Duel battles. These battles will allow you to face off against powerful Servants from each class, as well as choose one Servant from the class in question to transform into a Grand Servant. Not only are Grand Servants stronger stat-wise, but you can also equip their Max Bond Craft Essence in a separate slot from the usual. Currently, you can choose a Saber to transform into a Grand Saber. The next Servant you'll be able to transform is Berserker, and the Grand Duel for that Class will start in June 2025.

Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices. The end of Arc 2 will only appear on the Japanese server for now. Meanwhile, the global server will see Ordeal Call starting some time this year.

fate/grand order gallery

Lasengle launched a new update in the Japanese version of Fate/Grand Order that introduces a gallery feature. You can access it from your My Room, and look at past story stills or watch movies.

The gallery only applies to the main story and interlude. So any movies or stills that appeared during events don’t appear in the gallery. As well, like most galleries in other games, you need to actually play said event in the game before they’ll appear there. Since Fate/Grand Order lets you change your Master’s physical appearance at any time, stills that show Ritsuka will show the version you currently have right now. If you go and change your character’s gender, you can return to the gallery and see the alternate version of the artwork.

On April 9, 2025, Lasengle launched a campaign to thank players for 31 million s. This event will run from April 9 to 30, 2025, and you have a chance to pull for the 5-star Pretender, Lady Avalon. Gudaguda Close Call, which debuted in 2021, is also re-running its light version until April 23, 2025. Completing the event will net you the free 4-star Avenger, Mysterious Ranmaru X.

Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices.

fate/grand order dante

Lasengle has released the CBC 2025 Servant on the Japanese server of Fate/Grand Order, and this year, we have Dante Alighieri. He’s a 5-star Pretender.

Dante Alighieri, or Dante, was an Italian poet, writer, and philosopher. He’s best known for the Divine Comedy, which in turn inspired multiple works and games such as Devil May Cry. Kamome Shirahama, the manga artist for Witch Hat Atelier, is the character designer for Dante in Fate/Grand Order. His voice actor is Shoya Chiba. Chiba’s roles include Sethos in Genshin Impact, Akihiko in Wind Breaker, and Kou in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUXxcr0oGsg

In the game, Dante appears as a Pretender because he (the author) is pretending to be Dante (the character). Dante’s second Skill has the unique ability to change the battlefield to either Heaven or Hell. Heaven heals the party every turn, as well as increases Arts performance and critical damage. Meanwhile, Hell charges his own NP gauge every turn, along with increasing the party’s Buster performance and NP damage.

You can watch his Noble Phantasm, Lasciate Ogne Speranza, Vol Ch’Intrate: Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here, here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrWwBjhYcaw&t=1s

As a note, Dante will appear in the story gacha later on. However, you must first complete Ordeal Call IV before he'll appear there, and Ordeal Call IV will debut in Spring 2025. Okada Izo, the 3-star Assassin, is also on Dante's banner. However, Okada will not appear in the Friend Points gacha after. So in a sense, he's a bit more valuable since he's actually limited.

Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices. Dante is currently only on the Japanese server of Fate/Grand Order.

fate/grand order chaldea boys collection 2025 white day

Lasengle announced that the Chaldea Boys Collection, or White Day event, will take place on the Japanese Fate/Grand Order server from March 5, 2025. As per usual, all male Servants will receive a Bond bonus in event quests. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Aside from the standard Bond bonuses, five Servants will also deal more damage when you use them in event quests. They are Jason, James Moriarty (Archer of Shinjuku), Okada Izou, Setanta, and Duryodhana. Lasengle also announced a short Chaldea live stream to take place on the same date as the Fate/Grand Order Chaldea Boys Collection 2025 event. The update will go live after the stream, which will start at 7:00 PM JST.

Valentine’s Day events in Fate/Grand Order usually have the player completing quests to receive points, which they can then exchange for chocolates. After giving these chocolates to Servants, they can watch a short scene with them, as well as receive a special Craft Essence. In contrast, White Day events usually play like a normal story event, though with male Servants as the star of the show. Previous ones include the The Fifteen Bespectacled Intellectuals (which starred Altjuna), and the Holy Grail Phantom Thief Amakusa Shiro and the Slapstick Museum (which starred Amakusa).

Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices. More information on this year’s Chaldea Boys Collection event theme will appear on March 5, 2025, and this particular event is only on the Japanese server of Fate/Grand Order.

fate/grand order space ereshkigal

During the Chaldea Satellite Station 2024-2025 Okayama event, Lasengle revealed the top 10 Servants from 2024 that people raised to Level 100 in Fate/Grand Order, with Space Ereshkigal topping that list. It also announced some details about the current Valentine's Day 2025 event. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

Of the 28 Servants that debuted in Fate/Grand Order in 2024, these are the top 10 Servants that people raised to Level 100:

  1. Space Ereshkigal
  2. Mysterious Executor C.I.E.L.
  3. Aozaki Aoko
  4. Phantasmoon
  5. Louhi
  6. Yamato Takeru
  7. The Count of Monte Cristo
  8. BB Dubai
  9. Miyamoto Iori
  10. Shizuki Soujuro

Space Ereshkigal in Fate/Grand Order is a popular unit not only for her strength, but also for her unique Friendship Level system. Her Noble Phantasm gains different animations and buffs depending on how much she likes her Master. Ereshkigal herself is also just a very popular character. Iori and Soujuro making it onto this list, even if they’re near the bottom, is quite something, considering they were welfare Servants you could get for free from participating in their events.

Lasengle also discussed the new Valentine’s Day 2025 event in Fate/Grand Order. Like in previous years, you can get event rewards to exchange for chocolates, which you can then gift to your Servants. In return, they’ll give you a special Craft Essence in an event. As for the Valentine’s Day Servant this year, we have Sparkling Caster, who is a Quick-oriented unit with a more offensive kit.

Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices, and this Valentine’s Day 2025 event is only on the Japanese server.

fgo miyamoto musashi berserker

For a limited time, the Japanese server of Fate/Grand Order (FGO) will feature a banner re-run with the Berserker form of Miyamoto Musashi. You’ll also have a higher chance of pulling Li Shuwen (Lancer) during this time.

The New Year 2025 gacha in FGO will run until January 15, 2025. Aside from Richard I the Lionheart (the New Year Servant for 2025), you’ll also have a chance to pull seven different limited-time Servants. The banner times for these Servants are very short, giving players only about a day or so. For example, the Aoko Aozaki banner only lasted from January 4 to 6, 2025. This is the last day to pull for Kyokutei Bakin, and players will have until the 8th to pull for Takasugi Shinsaku. Servants who’ll return to FGO for New Year 2025 after Miyamoto Musashi are Sakamoto Ryoma (Lancer), Miss Crane, and Alice Kuonji.

Miyamoto Musashi (Berserker) is a swimsuit Servant who debuted on the Japanese server in 2019 for the Las Vegas Official Bout event. She has one of the highest ATK values among all of the Servants, which can make up for her natural squishiness as a Berserker. Her Noble Phantasm, Ganryu-jima, is an Arts attack that can damage all enemies, as well as reduce their critical rate chance for three turns.

Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices. Miyamoto Musashi (Berserker) will only return on the Japanese server of FGO, and her banner will end on January 9, 2025.

fate/grand order year 11

In an interview between Famitsu and Takashi Takeuchi, who is a designer, illustrator, and producer for Type-Moon, he stated that Fate/Grand Order would go on past Year 11. He also stated that Part II, which is Cosmos in the Lostbelt and Ordeal Call, will end soon, though there’s no concrete date for that yet. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

This information comes at the end of the interview with Takeuchi. He stated that unlike most live-service games, the development team’s focus was on finishing the story rather than making the game last for X amount of years. So it feels like ten years ended up ing, rather than them planning on the game lasting this long. He wants to come up with a special and memorable event, both in real life and in the game, to thank fans for their years of . This event will also hype up the final chapter of Part II, so he considers it his greatest challenge yet.

When the Famitsu interviewer asked if Fate/Grand Order would see a Year 11, Takeuchi said, “Of course it will.” However, the timing of when that happens will also depend on the players. So far, we know that Ordeal Call IV will come out in Spring 2025 on the Japanese server. It’s unknown if the chapter after that will usher in the end of Part II. Takeuchi also didn’t say whether the story will continue into Part III.

Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices. The Japanese server featured debuted Richard I the Lionheart (Saber) as its New Year Servant.

richard fate/grand order

Richard I the Lionheart from Fate/Strange Fake, the new anime, is the 2025 New Year’s Servant on the Japanese server of Fate/Grand Order (FGO). He is a five-star Saber unit.

You can see an animation of him at the end of this commercial released in Japan.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dphoRPgBsTI

Unlike the GSSR Servants, you don’t need to use paid Saint Quartz to pull for him. People who don’t read Fate/strange Fake don’t need to worry about spoilers when raising him, either. Ryogo Narita, the author for Fate/strange Fake, said on X (formerly Twitter) that both his third ascension and his Noble Phantasm were created specifically for his appearance in Fate/Grand Order.

Yuki Ono reprised his role as Richard for Fate/Grand Order. Ono’s previous roles include Kagami in Kuroko’s Basketball, Gran in Granblue Fantasy, and Josuke in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable. In the game, Richard’s Active Skills focus on buffing himself and the party, as well as charging his own NP and increasing the performance of his Buster cards. His Noble Phantasm, Utopia Purgatoire, deals Buster damage to all enemies after increasing his critical damage. He can also inflict Burn for 5 turns to all enemies.

Fate/Grand Order is available on mobile devices, and Richard I the Lionheart from Fate/Strange Fake is only on the Japanese FGO server. As a limited New Year’s Servant, he will not be in the normal gacha pool after his banner ends on January 15, 2025. Fate/Strange Fake is available to watch on Crunchyroll.

fate/grand order arcade

In May 2023, Sega and Lasengle announced that they would no longer add new playable Servants to Fate/Grand Order Arcade. At the time, I thought that this meant we would soon see a PC or home console port of this game, which is exclusive to Japanese arcades. More than a year has ed since with no such announcement. My predictions obviously did not come to . Considering that 2025 will be the 10th anniversary of Fate/Grand Order though, I sincerely hope Sega and Lasengle will bring this game overseas, even if it might not be feasible.

For the longest time, I was under the impression that the GPUs inside arcade machines are more advanced than a home console. This was mostly due to Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. The graphics were so pretty that I thought it could only exist on arcades, and none of the YouTube videos I saw at the time showed the PS4 or Windows PC versions. Now, of course, I understand the processing power in an arcade cabinet and how it can compare machines like the PS4. Fate/Grand Order Arcade requiring too much processing power for a home console is not, in fact, the reason behind why there isn’t a port.

But what is? I'm not sure. Maybe it’s for financial reasons; perhaps the projected profit simply isn’t worth the loss. Or perhaps the companies thought that people wouldn’t be interested in the title. If that’s the case, then I hope the widespread interest in 2024 releases like Tsukihime and Fate/stay night will change their minds.

“What’s the big idea with this anyway?” You might be asking. “Isn’t Fate/Grand Order Arcade just an arcade version of the mobile game?” Well, yes and no. It uses a similar setting and gacha system. You have Servants that have three active skills, multiple ive skills, and a Noble Phantasm they can unleash after their NP gauge is full. Craft Essences work as weapons in that you can equip them to Servants to boost stats or impart useful buffs and effects. Mechanics like Critical Stars and Command Cards still exist, with some alterations.

However, there wasn’t a story for the first three years of service. Instead, Fate/Grand Order Arcade is a more of a 3v3 PvP. While you can go grind in the single-person mode, the main meat of the game is the PvP. Now, I can understand some reservations. Some fans might not want to play a PvP Fate game. Sega and Lasengle might worry that it won’t have enough players to sustain the servers, especially since it would be competing against other team-based PvP games like Apex Legends or League of Legends or whatnot.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RinP2Ze0FPU

There are ways that Sega and Lasengle could secure a player base. Unlike with Concord and hero shooter games like Overwatch and Apex Legends, Fate/Grand Order Arcade is unique enough that it’s not stepping on other games’ toes. Considering it’s part of the Fate franchise, it can guarantee that a percentage of existing Fate fans would pick it up, versus how Concord had to try and make you care about a roster of new characters.

If they're worried about the online PvP element not working out too well, such as a lack of match-ups, they could also try to incorporate more of the mobile game’s story to provide a more engaging solo mode. Of course, that would be quite a bit of work and money, and maybe Sega and Lasengle don’t want to take that risk. I’m sure they can conduct market research into player interest though, as well as whether an F2P with microtransactions or a priced game with DLC would be more profitable.

As someone who enjoys Fate more for the story and characters than the mechanics, it kind of sucks that Arcade is exclusive to Japan. I really like how the Servants appear in your room as 3D models, complete with animations and dynamic facial expressions when they say their voice lines. That was one of the draws for me, and it still is the main reason why I really want to play Arcade. There are also some Servants who are exclusive to the arcade version, such as Jacques Molay. While formerly exclusive Servants like Proto Merlin and Tiamat have debuted in the mobile game, Molay and Summer Suzuka Gozen are, as of the time of writing, still locked to Arcade.

A common criticism I see online for Fate/Grand Order is that it has very dated mechanics. The lack of auto-battle is a personal strike against it, especially during events that require you to farm until you run out of AP and apples. Of course, Arcade is a separate game so it’s not as if it’s going to change anything in the mobile version. But it would certainly be a nice way to introduce more players to Fate/Grand Order, especially now that it’s easier than ever to get into the Nasuverse.

fate/grand order king tutankhamun

Mystery House Crafters is a new event that started on the Japanese server of Fate/Grand Order, introducing a free version of Van Gogh and a new Archer, King Tutankhamun. The event is only on the Japanese server for now and it’ll run until December 4, 2024.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBSEuXIUWl8

For starters, you will receive a 4-star Van Gogh (Miner) after completing the main quest of the event. Van Gogh (Miner) is a Lancer whose Skill set lets them the party. Their Noble Phantasm, Cafeterras Bij Nacht, deals Quick damage to all enemies and has a chance to Stun them for a turn. Similar to event Servants like Leonardo da Vinci, you will need to meet certain requirements in order to permanently obtain Van Gogh.

As for Tutankhamun in Fate/Grand Order, he’s a limited 5-star Archer with Skills that charge NP for the party, as well as bestow buffs upon himself. His Noble Phantasm deals Arts damage to a single enemy, as well as inflicts Curse upon them. Curse seems to be Tutankhamun’s particular niche.

You can check out his Noble Phantasm here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6Gg2jpp0lY

Rika Abe voices Tutankhamun. Abe’s previous roles include Mizuki in The Idolmaster Million Live!, Z23 in Azur Lane, and Hazuki in Extreme Hearts. As for King Tutankhamun, he is one of the most well-known Egyptian pharaohs in history. Not only did he become pharaoh and die at a very young age, but the discovery of his tomb in the 1920s was a widely publicized event. Some of the people who were part of the discovery died in ways that made people believe in the curse of the pharaohs. This curse is likely the inspiration behind the Noble Phantasm.

Fate/Grand Order is available on mobile devices. Tutankhamun is only on the Japanese Fate/Grand Order server for now.

fate/grand order tea

Kyoto Rikyuen will release a second line of Fate/Grand Order tea blends. This time, it’ll feature Merlin, Nero Claudius, and Taigong Wang.

The teas will be available via the Kyoto Rikyu-en website until October 20, 2024. People who bought them can expect to see the teas some time near the end of December 2024. The timing of the teas makes it perfect for a late Christmas present for a loved one, friend, or even yourself. When you purchase a box of tea, you also get an original paper sleeve and acrylic stand.

Each Fate/Grand Order tea box costs 7700 JPY ($53.50) and you get two blends with it. One is the basic dark hojicha that Kyoto Rikyu-en is known for. The other one is a special blend that draws inspiration from the character in question. The Merlin blend’s name can translate to “Dream of Flowers,” and it combines white sencha with the fragrance of grapes and edible flowers. As for the Taigong Wang tea, it’s based on the xiantao (peach of immortality) from Chinese mythology. It’s a peach-flavored pu’er tea. Finally, the Emperor of Roses tea for Nero is a Japanese black tea with the fragrance of roses.

Previously, when Kyoto Rikyu-en last had a collaboration with Lasengle, it featured the Servants Douman, Katsushika Hokusai, and Morgan. Those teas were also open for pre-order from September to October, with a release window of December. It’s possible that this will become a yearly tradition with Kyoto Rikyu-en.

Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices.

fate/grand ordeal call iii

Kinoko Nasu wrote an entry on the Type-Moon blog on September 18, 2024 to discuss Ordeal Call III in Fate/Grand Order. The short blog post details the length of Part 3.

In the post, Nasu states that Part 3 will have around the same amount of text as Part 1. It’s not too long, so it’s possible to play through the entire thing in one day. You can also play an hour a day and get through it comfortably. Nasu also commented that when talking about Ordeal Call III in a past interview, he was actually talking about Ordeal Call IV. At the time, he couldn’t say anything about it so he played dumb. The interview in question is likely the one with Famitsu in regards to the ninth anniversary of Fate/Grand Order.

Ordeal Call III is the sequel to the current summer event, Celebrity Summer Experience. Both of them are available for a limited time. Celebrity Summer Experience will end on October 2, 2024. Meanwhile, Ordeal Call III will stop being available on October 31, 2024. However, both of them will eventually return to the Main Interlude (permanent content) in several months’ time. So even if you can’t play through the stories now, you can wait.

Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices, though Ordeal Call III and Celebrity Summer Experience are only on the Japanese server for now.
