Square Enix announced a collection of Kingdom Hearts Art Museum trading cards, which will launch in Japan on August 30, 2025. A single pack of six cards will cost 550円 (~$4). It is also possible to buy a box of 20 packs for 11,000円 (~$76). As a reminder, these and other items aren’t up for pre-order in the US storefront, as Square Enix paused purchases as a result of the Trump tariffs. 

The company offered a bit of a breakdown of the different types of cards in the set. There are 228 total. Some are considered normal types, and it seems there are 93 like that in the set. Others have foil effects. These can be broken down into heart, , and kingdom ones, with rares available mong them, and the list and images also note there are two secret, special cards. 

The official product pages on the Square Enix eStore already shared images of the cards we can expect to see. Many focus on main characters like Sora, Donald, Goofy, Riku, and Kairi, with Sora, Donald, and Goofy’s special forms for different worlds showcased. Enemies appear too, like Organization XIII . There are also cards that have Disney movie and show characters on them and some Final Fantasy character cards.

Bandai Namco announced that Furyu’s plush dolls of Kingdom Hearts series characters Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, and Ventus as are now available as prizes in Japan. This applies to both physical arcades and Namco Online Crane games. As of time of writing, the only store that ships worldwide that seems to be selling them is Aitai Kuji, which is selling them individually for ¥2,800 (~$19) each. 

On the official Bandai Namco sites, the plush Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, and Ventus are being referred to Kingdom Hearts Mascot groups 2 and 3. The second one features Sora, Riku, and Kairi in in their outfits from the first game. The third shows Aqua, Terra, and Ventus as they appeared in Birth by Sleep.

Here are the two photos Furyu and Bandai Namco released. In each case, the plush toys are about 5 inches (~14cm) tall.

This comes after two major series announcements. The first is that Square Enix canceled Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link. The second involved Kingdom Hearts 4 screenshots showing a playable Mickey Mouse.

Graniph announced it will sell Kingdom Hearts shirts, pants, boxers, bags, and other accessories. Items will launch in stores and online on May 20, 2025, and pre-orders are available now online. The official site can be viewed in English and the company ships to the US. However, some of the items are already sold out. 

To start, there are 12 different Kingdom Hearts shirts, with eight being t-shirts. These are all unisex items, and all are available in sizes S through XL. In the cases of some t-shirts, SS and XXL are also options. Standard t-shirts cost ¥4,500/$39. The two button-up, short sleeve shirts are ¥6,900/$60 each. There is also a Timeless River Pete set that includes a t-shirt with matching shorts for ¥7,900/$68. A zip-up, short-sleeved jacket that can be worn as a shirt is also ¥6,900/$60. In addition to characters like Sora, Donald, Goofy, Pete, Kairi, Chip, and Dale, they also reference worlds from the game.

The other items in the collection are more varied, and they can feature iconography in addition to characters and familiar elements like Keyblades. Two pairs of pants are available for ¥7,900/$68. These are both black with designs from the series and appear in sizes SS through XL. Keyblade and Timeless River boxers are available in M through XL, and as there is no front opening they could be worn as shorts. Those are ¥1,900/$17. As for accessories, there’s a ¥3,900/$34 hat with Mickey holding a Keyblade, a bag with Mickey in the Organization XIII coat for ¥6,500/$56, a ¥3,900/$34 drawstring bag with Chip and Dale on it, and two pairs of ¥1,200/$11 socks in S and M sizes.

This isn’t the first time Graniph sold items based on the games. It happens rather regularly. One of the last times came up in May 2023. 

The Graniph Kingdom Hearts shirts, pants, and accessories are available to pre-order from the official site now, with shipping to the US, and they will appear in-store and online on May 20, 2025. While some online pre-orders sold out, it is possible more will appear at launch.

Square Enix announced the release of new Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts goods for the SQEX Pets brand, including a FFVII Buster Sword toy and a Slime pet stroller. The goods are now available for pre-order from the Japanese Square Enix online e-store, and they will release on September 4, 2025. There’s no word yet in a worldwide debut. [Thanks, PR Times!]

The new goods are divided between the Dragon Quest PETs collection, with 10 goods available; the Final Fantasy PETs collection, which offers only 3 new items; and the Kingdom Hearts PETs line, with 8 items on sale.

The Kingdom Hearts series celebrated its 23rd anniversary on March 28, 2025, and series creator Tetsuya Nomura shared a secret about the name of the Paopu fruit. A post by the official Kingdom Hearts social media in Japan revealed the origin of the fruit’s name over two decades after the release of the first game.

In the post, the Square Enix PR team asks Nomura if there are any undisclosed stories about the Paopu fruit, to which Nomura replied with “About the Paradise of promise?” The developer then questioned himself on whether it was “paradise of promise” or “paradise of pure.” The message revealed that “Paopu” is a blend word. Aside from sharing this trivia, it seems like Square Enix doesn’t have any plans to celebrate the series’ anniversary this year.

In the Kingdom Hearts games, the star-shaped Paopu fruit grows exclusively on the Destiny Islands, where Sora and Riku grew up in and where Kairi moved in as a child. The legend tells that if two people share one their destinies become linked forever. Sora and Kairi shared a fruit in Kingdom Hearts 3.

The Kingdom Hearts series is readily available on PS4, Xbox One, Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and Nintendo Switch via cloud streaming.

Square Enix is set to release a total of three different types of Kingdom Hearts apparel, which includes two jackets and a hoodie, based on Halloween Town. Consumers can pre-order these items ahead of their release on February 1, 2025.

As mentioned above, a total of three different items are available to pre-order. This includes a long hoodie, which will retail for 19,800 yen or $127, that features a Halloween Town print on the back. The print on the back of this Kingdom Hearts hoodie is artwork of Sora, Goofy, and Donald in their Halloween Town costumes.

The two jackets, a long nylon coat that will cost 23,100 yen or $148 and a souvenir style bomber jacket that will cost 29,700 yen or 190, each come with unique detailing to fit the theme of the Kingdom Hearts level. The bomber jacket has a bit more detailing, which includes a special silk lining featuring various Halloween Town themed designs inside.

Square Enix has continued to release a slew of Kingdom Hearts merchandise. In January 2025 it announced the production of Kingdom Hearts stained glass pins based on the stained glass seen in Dive to the Heart. The pins are available for pre-order and are set to release in April 2025.

Square Enix will add new Kingdom Hearts stickers and stationery goods based on the world of Atlantica from The Little Mermaid film to the game’s stationery collection. The items are now available for pre-order from the Square Enix online e-Store and they are expected to release in Japan on June 28, 2025.

The new Atlantica stickers come in a pack of 10 and they cost 880 yen (or about $5.63.) Meanwhile, other goods include a notebook refill that costs 1,320 yen ($8.45,) as well as washi tape and a sticky notes set, both of which costing 880 yen (~$5.63) each.

The Kingdom Hearts stationery collection originally appeared in June 2024 and it includes goods inspired by the Disney worlds of Agrabah, Wonderland, Olympus Coliseum, as well as the original worlds of Traverse Town and Destiny Islands. Most recently, Square Enix added new items to the line, including a notebook based on Roxas’s Diary from Kingdom Hearts II.

The Kingdom Hearts Atlantica stationery and stickers are now available to pre-order from the Square Enix online e-Store. They will release in Japan on June 28, 2025.

Square Enix opened up pre-orders for a collection of Kingdom Hearts pins that look like the stained glass displays you see in Dive to the Heart. These will come in individual blind boxes. At the moment, they're only available in the Japanese eStore.

The entire collection, which consists of 14 pins, costs 12,012 JPY. That would convert to approximately $77.20. As a disclaimer, Square Enix noted that while the box collection comes with 14 different blind boxes, it doesn’t guarantee that you can collect every individual design by buying a box. This is because the manufacturers themselves likely don’t know which blind box contains which badge. So you should keep that in mind before you order the entire collection. As a note, these pins do not appear on the North American version of the Square Enix store.

Each Kingdom Hearts stained glass pin has a holographic effect over the design, and it’s quite large at around 75 millimeters in width. Barring King Mickey, none of them contain the stained glass s of the Disney princesses or worlds. They all focus on characters who originated from the Kingdom Hearts series.

The stained glass designs from the Dive to the Heart are a popular motif in Kingdom Hearts merchandise. In January 2024, Bandai Spirits released a statue of a Station of Awakening from the second game. A few months later, the Square Enix store released acrylic mirrors featuring female characters from both Disney and Kingdom Hearts.

The most recent major release for Kingdom Hearts was a Steam collection that came out in May 2024. The Kingdom Hearts stained glass pins will come out on April 26, 2025.

Bandai Spirits announced that the Kingdom Hearts Linking Hearts Ichiban Kuji merchandise lottery will return and once again include a Sora figure as the top prize. The campaign will appear at select convenience stores throughout Japan from May 23, 2025 and each entry costs 790 yen (or about $5.)

Square Enix revealed a line of Kingdom Hearts stationery, including washi tape of the different worlds you can visit and a replica of Roxas’s diary from 358/2 Days. The items will come out in June 2025, but a pre-sale will occur at Loft stores around Japan between January 18 and March 16, 2025. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The Roxas’s diary replica is a daily diary that uses the same dates as in Roxas’s from the game. Inside, you can read his journal entries, and the key visual for 358/2 Days appears behind the front cover. Other Kingdom Hearts stationery you can purchase from Square Enix include loose leaf refillable notebook pages, stickers, memo pads, and washi tape. Aside from the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days merchandise, you can also get goods of Disney and Kingdom Hearts characters from worlds like Agrabah, Atlantica, and Wonder Land.

Items that are part of this collection include:

To commemorate the 15th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (BBS), which launched on January 9, 2010 in Japan, Share Enix once again shared the secret ending video from the second game and a message from Tetsuya Nomura about the series. At the end of the statement, the director suggested that we still have yet to hear about what the Lost Masters gained and lost when they met at a crossroads in Kingdom Hearts III. 

First, here’s the full Kingdom Hearts II secret ending, which marked the first appearance of Kingdom Hearts BBS heroes Aqua, Terra, and Ventus. In it, all three were wearing full suits of armor, meeting at X-shaped crossroads while grabbing their keyblades.

And here is the full Tetsuya Nomura statement in which he discussed the importance of crossroads in the Kingdom Hearts series and hinted that we still haven’t heard the story about the Lost Masters yet.

There are two Kingdom Hearts games in development that we know about at the moment. One is Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link for mobile devices. That was supposed to launch in 2024, but ended up delayed. The other is Kingdom Hearts 4, which was teased at the end of the third entry.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep first appeared on the PlayStation Portable worldwide, and it is now available on the PS3, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC via Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix.

Sega Plaza will stock Kingdom Hearts Heartless dolls in its crane game machines starting on January 24, 2025. There are three different types to collect.

Since these Kingdom Hearts Heartless dolls are crane game prizes available via Sega Plaza, you will have to find either a proxy service that can deliver them to you, or try to win them yourself if you live in Japan. The three variations of dolls to collect are: Shadow, Soldier, and Large Body. All three of these Heartless are ones that should be familiar to any Kingdom Hearts player. They’ve appeared in pretty much every game as some of the most basic enemies Sora, Donald, and Goofy encounter.

Despite being the enemies of the franchise, Heartless are popular motifs for Kingdom Hearts merchandise. This is likely due to a combination of their cute and iconic designs, as well as their aforementioned familiarity among players. Some examples of previous Heartless goods include a Shadow plush, a ring depicting a swarm of them huddling together, and a mug that depicts a Shadow’s face. All three of these are official merchandise from Square Enix.

The newest mainline entry to the series, Kingdom Hearts 4, is in development. There’s no information on the release window or platforms. Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link is also in development. Square Enix announced a delay in November 2024 and has not yet revealed the new release window.

Square Enix and Disney revealed that U-Treasure has opened orders for new Kingdom Hearts necklaces and earrings. People in Japan can place orders for the pieces of jewelry modeled after Sora's Crown.

The prices and production times will vary based on the materials used. U-Treasure sets the price for the earring at ¥9,350 (~$60.80) and the necklace at ¥13,200 (~$85.80) when it uses silver, which also only takes a week to produce. The items are also available in K18 gold, which will raise the production time to seven weeks and the prices to ¥60,500 (~$393.25) for the earring and ¥84,700 (~$550.55) for the necklace. As another side note, the earring price is for a single item, so if one wants to purchase a pair, they must prepare double the costs.

Even though the U-Treasure website has a WorldShopping widget to international orders, the new Kingdom Hearts jewelry has been specifically made to be formally orderable only in Japan. That means people who reside outside the country will have to go through an extra set of hurdles if they want to get these items, unlike those from other franchises like Monster Hunter.

The new necklaces and earrings featuring Sora's Crown from the Kingdom Hearts series are immediately available to order in Japan.

Square Enix revealed a new Form-Ism figure of the Kingdom Hearts II version of the series protagonist Sora. This figure will appear worldwide in 2025.

The static figure will show Sora brandishing his Keyblade while stepping on a base shaped after the series' crown icon. Square Enix added that it will use clear parts to produce the base crown.

While Square Enix usually sell its figures on its own web stores, this Sora figure has yet to appear on any of its regional web outlets as of this announcement. The figure is instead spotted first on AmiAmi, which also s worldwide shipping via its English website.

AmiAmi has set March 2025 as the release window for the Sora Form-Ism figure. While Square Enix has apparently set an MSRP of 7,480 yen, AmiAmi is setting a discounted price of 6,730 yen (~$44.25).

There have been many figures based on Kingdom Hearts series characters released in recent years. A majority of them appeared in 2022, when Square Enix celebrated the franchise's 20th anniversary.

The Kingdom Hearts II Sora Form-Ism figure will be available worldwide in March 2025.

SuperGroupies has revealed a new collection of merchandise inspired by Square Enix and Disney's Kingdom Hearts series, which it will release in 2025. The brand has also opened pre-orders for the items on its Japanese website.

This batch will generally consist of three item types. The multipurpose shoulder pouches will cost 13,200 yen (~$88.25) apiece, and the shoes will be available in seven sizes with the same price tag of 15,400 yen (~$103). SuperGroupies will also sell stoles with attached charm keychains at 14,300 yen (~$95.60).

This new collection will be modeled after six Kingdom Hearts characters, which are Sora, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Axel, and Xion. The items will have mostly unique designs themed after each character, but the insides may have a similar design for characters in the same group (Sora-Riku-Kairi, or Roxas-Axel-Xion).

While SuperGroupies also has a separate web store dedicated to the U.S., the official X noted that these new Kingdom Hearts items are only available for pre-orders on the original Japanese site. However, the Japanese web store has been ing worldwide shipments via the WorldShopping proxy service. In addition, WorldShopping is also offering peak season surcharge-free costs for orders placed by October 31, 2024.

This will be the fifth time SuperGroupies is producing Kingdom Hearts merchandise. The brand previously released items to mark the series' 20th anniversary in 2022. It also produced fashion items themed after Kingdom Hearts III in 2020 and 2018.

The pre-order period for the new Kingdom Hearts merchandise lineup will close on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. SuperGroupies will ship the Kingdom Hearts shoulder pouches and stoles first in late February 2025, with the shoes following suit two months later in late April 2025.
