Square Enix is re-running several plush dolls from the Kingdom Hearts series, including ones of Roxas, Axel, and Xion from Kingdom Hearts III. The North American Square Enix store is offering these plushes as well.

The only Kingdom Hearts plush that isn’t available in the North American store is the one depicting Halloween Town Sora from the second game. However, the North American store does feature Christmas Town Sora, in which he’s wearing a black Santa-like outfit. This look was an addition to the Final Mix version of II. Originally, even when Sora went to Christmas Town from Halloween Town, he was still sporting his Halloween Town look.

The plushes cost around $43.99 via the North American Square Enix store and 4180 JPY on the Japanese one. Both stores price King Mickey a little higher, likely because Square Enix has to pay an additional fee or royalty of some kind to Disney.

The Japanese store offers them as a pre-order, and they’ll come out on September 14, 2024. Meanwhile, perhaps because the North American store never ran out of the plushes and needed to re-run them, they’re readily available there.

Kingdom Hearts III, the latest mainline entry in the series, is readily available on the PS4, Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.

Square Enix took to social media on the Steam product page for Kingdom Hearts III and its Re Mind DLC to share how the exclusive Keyblade for that storefront will look. The only way people can get Dead of Night is if they go through that retailer, just like how Epic Games Store has its own Keyblade. 

Here’s the official announcement showing off the exclusive Dead of Night Kingdom Hearts III Steam Keyblade. The other forms aren’t shown. We also don’t know what its stats or Shotlocks will be. 

As a reminder, this is one of multiple exclusive Kingdom Hearts III Keyblades tied to specific platforms or stores. For example, the Epic Games Store exclusive weapon is called Elemental Encoder. If you played the Cloud versions of the game on the Switch, you could grab Advent Red. The PlayStation 4 one is Midnight Blue, while the Xbox one is Phantom Green. There was also the former 7-Eleven Dawn Till Dusk Keyblade.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re MindDLC will come to PC via Steam on June 13, 2024. The games are also available on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store now.

Square Enix announced that the Kingdom Hearts series is coming to PC via Steam on June 13, 2024. The series already appeared on PC via the Epic Games Store back in March 30, 2021, with a temporary exclusivity arrangement that is now about to expire.

First, these are the Kingdom Hearts games coming to Steam on June 13, 2024:

• Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX
• Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
• Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind DLC

Meanwhile, the Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece bundle that includes all the titles listed above. Additionally, by purchasing Kingdom Hearts 3 or the Integrum Masterpiece bundle, players will receive the platform-exclusive Dead of Night Steam-themed keyblade in the third game.

The first title features four games in the KH series, as well as two of the portable games available as HD remastered cinematics that retell the events of the games. The four playable games are Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix. Meanwhile, the HD cinematic titles are Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded.

As for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, the game includes Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, the Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary age- short story, as well as the Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover movie.

However, there is no mention of the rhythm spin-off title Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory as being one of the games appearing on Steam. At the time of writing, the PC version of Melody of Memory remains exclusive to the Epic Games Store.

Three Kingdom Hearts games will arrive to PC via Steam on June 13, 2024 after the exclusivity arrangement with the Epic Games Store ended. The games are also available for the PS4, Xbox One, PC via Epic Games Store and Nintendo Switch via cloud streaming.

The third batch of Kingdom Hearts wafers with cards will come out in Japan on June 3, 2024. You’ll be able to purchase them from the snack corners of stores all across Japan.

In total, there are 28 possible cards to get from the wafers. There are 8 world cards, 10 story cards, and 10 special art cards. The story cards use scenes from the game and the world cards show a visual of Sora and his friends posing with the characters from the Disney films. Finally, the special art cards use key visuals or promotional images. Aside from a card, each bag will contain a cocoa cream wafer. It’ll cost 150 JPY (less than $1) for a bag.

Similar to blind boxes, these wafers are quite popular among anime and video game fans in Japan. Not only do you get a snack, but you can also experience the thrill of opening up a blind box for a relatively low price. Bandai has released these wafers for other series, such as Genshin Impact, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Jujutsu Kaisen.

Kingdom Hearts III is the latest mainline title from the Kingdom Hearts series, and it came out in 2019. It continues the story of Sora as he explores the various Disney worlds with Donald Duck and Goofy. This time, their goal is to stop Xehanort before he can start another Keyblade War. Unlike previous games in the series, this one did not have any Final Fantasy characters appear.

The Kingdom Hearts wafers will appear in stores across Japan from June 3, 2024.

Square Enix has released an update that will now display the server congestion status for the Kingdom Hearts cloud versions released for the Nintendo Switch. This will allow consumers playing the Kingdom Hearts cloud versions on the Nintendo Switch to check server congestion. As server congestion could potentially affect gameplay. Additionally, the Version 1.0.3 update for the Kingdom Hearts cloud versions has added an additional feature to Kingdom Hearts III + ReMind Cloud Version.

Players will now have the opportunity to pick between "Performance" and "Graphics" modes when playing the Nintendo Switch version of the game. However, it will still function off of the same system as the other Kingdom Hearts Cloud Version games, which means server congestion could still affect performance.

The cloud versions are bundles that include more than a handful of Kingdom Hearts games. For example, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix includes Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix. However, the Kingdom Hearts III Cloud Version only comes with the ReMind DLC. Additionally, consumers can purchase all of the games available through the cloud with the Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud collection.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + ReMind Cloud Version are available for Nintendo Switch. The standard versions of the games are also available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

What’s better than playing Kingdom Hearts on a PlayStation or Xbox platform or PC? Kingdom Hearts it on one of those other options and the Switch. In many circles, Kingdom Hearts coming to the Switch was long discussed. Considering the series began 20 years ago and has been available on seemingly every new generation of consoles, it makes sense that a Nintendo release would be the next step. What came as a bit of surprise, though, was that installments would arrive on the Switch as Cloud-based games. Rather than ing them to your system, you play a streamed version that just isn’t as reliable as having the game directly on it, ready to play whenever and wherever.

Square Enix divided the games into three packages – Kingdom Hearts - HD: 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind DLC. However, I didn’t pick a single one up until the day one patch had been out, so I could ideally play the optimal versions. As it turns out, it was still a frustrating task and waiting for the patch didn’t matter all that much.

The accessibility that comes with the Switch versions is great. As is the ability to play an entire series on a console that’s newer and in the hands of millions. This is a nostalgia grab that works. Even I’ll it that watching the Kingdom Hearts opening again and listening to “Simple and Clean” almost had me hooked. There's also something nice about seeing the games that defined gaming for you get newer console releases and upgrades. It's validating when the things important to you receive some love.

For the most part, the opening movies for each game looked great. Outside of the release weekend, I didn’t experience much stuttering or lag during them. The more recently released games also seemed to be the most consistent, in of gameplay. Gameplay wasn’t perfect, mind you, but it definitely became more playable after that initial launch period. Unfortunately, that’s about all I can say regarding the benefits of these games on the Switch.

The biggest problem with Kingdom Hearts on the Switch goes back to the Cloud service. Even after the patch, the games can lag depending on the state of the server or, more importantly, the state of your internet. Losing connection as you play means losing any progress you’ve made. These are old games. Which means there isn’t a guaranteed autosave to cover you if your internet decides to go out or stutter. Related to that is the fact that you can’t pause the game and put your Switch in sleep mode for a minute or let it go to sleep on its own. I often play games as I’m multitasking, and letting my system fall asleep while I take a break is something I do often.

I also love having a Switch simply because it gives me the ability to play games freely no matter where I am. The Cloud takes those options away completely. Time with the games is tethered to a strong internet connection and play sessions that lack freedom.

Connection and Cloud issues aside, even movement was off in a lot of the games. Trying to jump and run around was awkward. Hitting combos and finishing moves during fights felt oddly slow. I’ve played the Kingdom Hearts games on other consoles, and I know the controls sometimes feel weightless. This was different. It felt like a system struggling to keep up with inputs.

Really, I didn’t enjoy my time playing any of the games. I don’t believe they’re worth the time and money they require, and I doubt I’ll ever pick them up again. Regardless, I can see a lot of people looking for that nostalgic experience wanting these ports. Square Enix has been able to successfully port the series multiple times for a reason. When it comes to a beloved series, a lot of fans will understandably buy it whenever, and however, they can. The Cloud versions also give those without access to the other console releases a chance to finally play Kingdom Hearts. But again, I can’t say this is the version of the game new players should start with or one long-time fans should settle for. Plus, if something doesn’t work as well as it should, is it accessible? Not really.

Kingdom Hearts - HD: 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind DLC are currently available on the Nintendo Switch as Cloud Versions. A complete edition that includes all three collections, titled Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece, is also available.

Square Enix will release a Kingdom Hearts III glasses case in June 2022. The glasses case will feature several major motifs found throughout the Kingdom Hearts series. These include the Kingdom Key and Heartless symbols. The Kingdom Hearts III glasses case will cost 3,850 yen ($33) and is immediately available to pre-order. [Thanks, Gamer!]

The case itself is available to be folded and flattened down. This will make the case easy to carry. Additionally, the case is made out of synthetic leather. Other motifs that appear on the case include the Organization 13 logo, the symbol of the Unversed, and the Lucky Emblem design. Each of these symbols appear not only on the front of the case, but down the back.

Square Enix has announced more than a handful of merchandise leading up to the 20th anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts series. This has included a line of Kingdom Hearts suitcases. Additionally, the Tokyo Disneyland Resort has Kingdom Hearts-themed rooms available to rent. These rooms will be available until April 27, 2022. Not only do the rooms feature motifs from the Kingdom Hearts series, but consumers will be given a special room key. The room keys are shaped like various keyblades found in Kingdom Hearts.

This new glasses case is scheduled to release on June 25, 2022.

Nintendo Switch owners got a taste of Kingdom Hearts when Sora ed the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, but soon it'll be time for the full meal. The previously announced Switch port of the Kingdom Hearts games will release on February 10, 2022, according to an announcement from Square Enix. The company also ed a Kingdom Hearts Switch trailer to promote the launch.

Though the Switch already hosts the rhythm game Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, the new Switch collection adds the rest of the franchise. That consists of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix Cloud Version, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue Cloud Version, and Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind Cloud Version. All can be purchased separately, though they're available as a bundle called Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud.

The "cloud version" distinction is key, as all the Kingdom Hearts Switch games (other than Melody of Memory) require an internet connection to play. This means that the game will stream in on a server rather than being ed and installed to the Switch console's local storage. Other Switch cloud games include Hitman 3, Control, and A Plague Tale: Innocence.

Square Enix has opened pre-orders for new suitcases modeled after characters from Kingdom Hearts III on its Japanese web store. It will officially release the items on June 25, 2022.

The suitcases will be available in five different designs based on Sora, Riku, Kairi, Axel, and King Mickey. All of them will have the same price tag of 52,000 yen (~$460). As of this writing, Square Enix has only opened pre-orders for these suitcases in Japan.

All of the Kingdom Hearts suitcases will have the same dimensions of 37 x 25 x 60 cm (~14.5 x 9.8 x 23.6 inches). The will be able to extend the handle up to 53 cm (~20.8 inches). They will also come with TSA locks.

Square Enix has been releasing various kinds of merchandise based on the popular Kingdom Hearts. The company has previously revealed items like Kingdom Key-shaped ice trays and the necklaces worn by Birth by Sleep characters. Meanwhile, Tokyo Disneyland will offer special hotel suites decorated with Kingdom Hearts-related items from January to April 2022.

The entire Kingdom Hearts video game series is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store. Square Enix will also work with Nintendo to release cloud versions of the games on Nintendo Switch.

After a little over four months since the first announcement of the Kingdom Hearts III Nendoroids, Good Smile Company finally has Aqua in their online store.  The Aqua Nendoroid is available for pre-order until July 29, 2021. She will release in February 2022 for Japan and April 2022 for North America. She costs 6500 JPY/$64.99.

Aqua will come with the standard three face plates. The expressions are a normal smile, a fierce look, and a praying face with her eyes closed. She will also come with her keyblade and her Wayfinder. You can make her pose peacefully or aggressively depending on which item she holds. Unfortunately, Good Smile Company has not announced or released Nendoroids for Terra or Ventus, so Aqua will have to keep searching for her friends.

The other Nendoroids released for Kingdom Hearts III are Sora, Riku, Roxas, Axel, and Kairi. With Aqua now available for online pre-order and purchase, we have seen all of the Kingdom Hearts III Nendoroids Good Smile Company showed off at WonHobby 32 earlier this year. Good Smile Company revealed the painted Aqua Nendoroid at WonHobby 33 in May. Other properties that will receive Nendoroids or other figures include Genshin Impact, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Touken Ranbu.

The Aqua Nendoroid from Kingdom Hearts III is currently open for pre-order. She will ship out in February 2022 for people in Japan and April 2022 for those in North America.

It’s time to reunite the Destiny Island trio yet again as Good Smile Company plans on releasing a Nendoroid of Kairi from Kingdom Hearts III. The Kingdom Hearts III Kairi Nendoroid is available for pre-order from May 20 to July 1, 2021. She will ship out in December 2021 for Japan and January 2022 for North America. She will cost ¥6200/$61.99.

Kairi’s three face plates include a standard expression, an angry fighting expression, and a gentle smile. She also comes with several optional parts, such as her keyblade, Destiny’s Embrace, a sea salt ice cream, and a paopu fruit. As well, she has hand parts that will allow you to display her with the Kingdom Hearts III Sora and Axel Nendoroids. You can pose Kairi and Sora so that they’re holding hands, or pose Kairi and Axel so that Axel is giving her ice cream.

This is a launch offer that will only be in effect until April 6, 2021. It will also retroactively apply to any pre-orders people might have placed.

The Epic Games Store hub product page for all four Kingdom Hearts PC entries is now online. The cheapest game will be Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 HD Remix at $49.99. That gives you Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix, and then the cinematics from 358/2 Days and Re:coded.

The other three are all $59.99 each. Those four Kingdom Hearts games will come to PCs on March 30, 2021. The announcement didn’t mention when or if the exclusivity will expire and they will eventually come to Steam.

Good Smile Company wants you to be able to turn your figure shelf into a veritable Traverse Town, judging by the number of Kingdom Hearts III Nendoroids just announced. With WonHobby 32 under way, the company is throwing out waves of new product announcements, and the latest beefs up the Kingdom Hearts contingent substantially. Good Smile announced four new Kingdom Hearts III Nendoroids to supplement the existing figures of Sora and Riku, adding Aqua, Axel,

Roxas and Axel will show up wearing their Organization XIII coats. Roxas will be able to dual-wield the Oathkeeper and Oblivion Keyblades in his prototype shot. Meanwhile, Kairi will appear in her Kingdom Hearts III costume, while Aqua will arrives to represent Birth by Sleep. Aqua's concept art shows her holding the Master's Defender Keyblade model as well.

The four new Nendoroids are still technically in development status, with a planned October 2021 release window for Roxas. Axel, Kairi, and Aqua's release windows are as yet undecided, but given the timing of the other figures, it's reasonable to assume they won't be out until 2022. The Riku and Sora figures, though, are available for pre-order now, and slated for release in July 2021.

The previously announced Kingdom Hearts III Riku Nendoroid is now available to pre-order. Good Smile Company has shared more information, along with images, of the Nendoroid. Originally announced in October 2020 consumers will now be able to pre-order the Kingdom Hearts III Riku Nendoroid until March 4, 2021. The Nendoroid will cost $59.99 and is expected to ship in August 2021 for North American consumers.

As you might imagine, the Riku Nendoroid will also come with a handful of accessories. This includes his signature keyblade, the Braveheart, two face plates, and a King Mickey acrylic standee. You can take a look at the Riku Nendoroid below.

The Good Smile Website does mention that while the Riku Nendoroid is full articulated, it cannot stand on its own. Consumers are advised to use the stand provided when displaying the Nendoroid.
