Bandai Namco announced that Furyu’s plush dolls of Kingdom Hearts series characters Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, and Ventus as are now available as prizes in Japan. This applies to both physical arcades and Namco Online Crane games. As of time of writing, the only store that ships worldwide that seems to be selling them is Aitai Kuji, which is selling them individually for ¥2,800 (~$19) each. 

On the official Bandai Namco sites, the plush Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, and Ventus are being referred to Kingdom Hearts Mascot groups 2 and 3. The second one features Sora, Riku, and Kairi in in their outfits from the first game. The third shows Aqua, Terra, and Ventus as they appeared in Birth by Sleep.

Here are the two photos Furyu and Bandai Namco released. In each case, the plush toys are about 5 inches (~14cm) tall.

This comes after two major series announcements. The first is that Square Enix canceled Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link. The second involved Kingdom Hearts 4 screenshots showing a playable Mickey Mouse.

To commemorate the 15th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (BBS), which launched on January 9, 2010 in Japan, Share Enix once again shared the secret ending video from the second game and a message from Tetsuya Nomura about the series. At the end of the statement, the director suggested that we still have yet to hear about what the Lost Masters gained and lost when they met at a crossroads in Kingdom Hearts III. 

First, here’s the full Kingdom Hearts II secret ending, which marked the first appearance of Kingdom Hearts BBS heroes Aqua, Terra, and Ventus. In it, all three were wearing full suits of armor, meeting at X-shaped crossroads while grabbing their keyblades.

And here is the full Tetsuya Nomura statement in which he discussed the importance of crossroads in the Kingdom Hearts series and hinted that we still haven’t heard the story about the Lost Masters yet.

There are two Kingdom Hearts games in development that we know about at the moment. One is Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link for mobile devices. That was supposed to launch in 2024, but ended up delayed. The other is Kingdom Hearts 4, which was teased at the end of the third entry.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep first appeared on the PlayStation Portable worldwide, and it is now available on the PS3, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC via Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix.

The official Kingdom Hearts soundtracks for HD 2.5 ReMIX, Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, Dream Drop Distance, and HD 1.5 ReMIX are now available via the Square Enix Store. Each comes as a three CD set except for HD 2.5 ReMIX, which contains four CD's.

There are four soundtracks in total, including music from across seven games in the franchise. The music is created by composers such as Tsuyoshi Sekito, Yoko Shimomura, and Takeharu Ishimoto. Each is a re-release of products that originally debuted between 2011 and 2014, while the Birth by Sleep & 358/2 Days CD set also includes some extra music from the Japanese exclusive Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX release. The soundtracks for Birth by Sleep & 358/2 Days, Dream Drop Distance, and HD 1.5 ReMIX are available for $30.99 each, while the one for HD 2.5 ReMIX costs $42.99. Each is expected to ship sometime in September 2024.

Back in July 2024, Square Enix showed off some new hair clips themed around Halloween Town from Kingdom Hearts II. More recently, the company also announced the return of 4 metallic keychains shaped like the series' signature Keyblades.

The original soundtracks for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, Dream Drop Distance, and HD 1.5 ReMIX are now available via the Square Enix online store. Each product is expected to release sometime in September, 2024.

Square Enix will re-release the Wayfinder necklaces from Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. You can pre-order them from the Japanese Square Enix website and they’ll ship out from April 27, 2024.

Each necklace costs 2750 JPY, which is about $18.90. However, the Square Enix e-Store does not offer international shipping, and the North American store doesn’t have the Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Wayfinder necklaces. Those outside of Japan who wish to purchase it will likely need to employ some sort of proxy service.

There are three variations of the necklaces for the three main characters: Ventus, Terra, and Aqua. Ventus’s is green, Aqua’s is blue, and Terra’s is brown. Each pendant is about 45 x 45 millimeters, and the cord portion that goes around your neck is around 200 millimeters long.  In the game, the Wayfinders are star-shaped necklaces that the characters wore out of friendship and so that they could stay with each other. The idea of star-shaped object serving as a charm to keep your friends with you is in the first game as well with the paopu fruit.

The Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Wayfinder necklaces will come out again on April 27, 2024. These necklaces originally appeared in 2021.

Square Enix announced new Kingdom Hearts Wayfinder necklace designs inspired by Birth by Sleep. In April 2022, it will sell jewelry inspired by Aqua, Terra, and Ventus' necklaces.

Each of these Wayfinder necklaces are designed to resemble the ones in-game. Each one is about an inch and a half wide and long. They’re made of zinc, with resin in place to resemble each character’s colors. Aqua’s is blue, Terra’s is yellow, and Ventus’ is green. All three arrive on a leather cord.

Unlike some other Square Enix game jewelry, these necklaces will be more affordable. Each necklace will cost $29.99. The other recent Kingdom Hearts necklaces come from U-Treasure and involve Trinity Rings. Those are custom-made. While the basic silver version of them will be 22,000 yen, there will also be 66,000 yen variants made of yellow gold.

Square Enix’s Aqua, Terra, and Ventus Wayfinder necklace designs will appear in April 2022. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep is available on the PSP. It is also available on the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, perhaps one of the most anticipated PSP games in 2010, is only available on a UMD and in stores. That means PSPgo owners won't get to play the Kingdom Hearts prequel or visit Stitch in Deep Space.

Why? Tetsuya Nomura said to Dengeki in a Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy interview that he does not want any misunderstandings. The problem does not lie with Square Enix, Disney or Hikaru Utada who performed the game's theme song. "It's difficult because of a reason I cannot say," Nomura explained. Nomura says he is thinking about how to make a able version available, but he needs more time.

Square Enix published Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep in Japan over a year ago. Recently, the publisher has begun to make their PSP back catalog available on PlayStation Network. Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, and Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions are all coming to Sony's online store. Other Square Enix titles such as Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth are also not available as PlayStation Network s.

Last week saw the release of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix in Japan, and sales tracker, Media-Create, have some interesting facts to offer about the game, as well as data on how it compares to previous Final Mix titles.

Final Mix titles are re-releases of Kingdom Hearts games with added content and English voiceovers. According to retailer reports, several of the people that bought Birth by Sleep Final Mix were women. Media-Create high interest amongst women in their 20s in particular, which is a trait the game shares with Ni no Kuni on the Nintendo DS.

The more interesting fact, however, is that sales of the Final Mix titles -- and only Final Mix, not the original games themselves -- are in decline. The original Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep sold 446,000 copies in its first week. Birth by Sleep Final Mix sold 77,317 copies in its first week, or 17.34% of Birth by Sleep’s sales.

In comparison, Kingdom Hearts Final Mix sold 30.8% of the initial first week sales of the very first Kingdom Hearts game. Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ sold 23.81% of Kingdom Hearts II’s first week sales. Birth by Sleep Final Mix’s numbers are the lowest yet.

The week of January 17th - 23rd saw the release of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix, finally ending the Birth by Sleep chapter of the series. (Then again...) Birth by Sleep Final Mix moved 77,000 copies, taking the place of Another Century's Episode Portable at #1, above Monster Hunter Portable 3rd at #2.

Another Century's Episode, in the mean time, saw itself bumped down all the way to #11 in the span of a single week. Two new Namco Bandai releases in the form of Kaiju Busters Powered and Venus & Braves, along with consistent top-ten regulars like Donkey Kong Country Returns and Pokémon Black/White dominated the first half of the week's sales chart.

Also in the top-ten was Inazuma Eleven 3: Challenge the World – The Ogre, which shot up all the way from #28 to #7. A new shipment, perhaps? Also making its return from beyond the top-20 was Taiko no Tatsujin Wii: Everyone’s Party Sandaime.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix, like every other Kingdom Hearts game, has a brief teaser pertaining to a new chapter in the series at the end of the game. KH13.com have managed to get their hands on this ending/teaser, and it makes mention of a "Birth by Sleep Volume 2."

The teaser shows clips from Kingdom Hearts games that take place after Birth by Sleep, including scenes from 358/2 Days. Could a potential Birth by Sleep: Volume 2 story take place after or perhaps during these events?
