The story of From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke follows social outcast Sawako Kuronuma on her first day of high school. Her similarities to a popular horror character named Sadako intertwined with her timid personality leads others to avoid her. However, Sawako gradually leaves her hardened shell with help from Shota Kazehaya; a boy who treats her like he would anyone else. After being thrusted into new relationships and situations, Sawako must navigate these budding feelings that sprout from within.

Season one of Me To You: Kimi ni Todoke ran from October 6, 2009 - March 30, 2010 consisting of 25 episodes. The first season of this high school romance adapts seven volumes that include 27 chapters of the manga. As the manga was still ongoing at the time, Production I.G, the animation studio, wasn’t able to adapt everything during the original run of the anime. This season of the anime can be viewed on a plethora of platforms. From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke season one is available on Crunchyroll, Hulu, Netflix, and Tubi.

Season two aired from January 4, 2011 to March 30, 2011 in Japan over 13 episodes. With a shorter season than the first, the anime adapts chapters 28 to 46 that are a part of volumes 8 to 11. Similar to season one of this romance series, watch season two on Crunchyroll, Hulu, Netflix, and Tubi. However, season three is slightly different in the viewing experience.

After 13 years, Kimi ni Todoke season 3 officially launched exclusively on Netflix on August 1, 2024 with five initial episodes. This season will adapt Shiina’s manga through 18 volumes, leaving room for another season to adapt the last 12 volumes.

Kimi ni Todoke has been adapted into a light novel, a Netflix live-action show, and an anime. With localizations done by Viz Media, the manga is also available to purchase. There’s finally a release date for season 3 of the Kimi ni Todoke anime, as well as a trailer showing what’s happening between Sawako Kuronuma and Shouta Kazehaya. The show will return on Netflix on August 1, 2024. 

For those unfamiliar, Kimi ni Todoke is a shojo romance series with slice of life elements to it. Sawako is a high school student who is constantly alone and even bullied due to her looking so much like Sadako from The Ring. After a chance meeting with Kazehaya, Sawako begins to find friends, be accepted by people around her, and even find love. As highlighted in the new trailer for the third season, this season picks up with Sawako and Kazehaya finally dating and brings up the new challenges that brings for her.

The first season of the Kimi ni Todoke anime appeared in 2009, with the second showing up in 2011, but it’d been a while with no news about a season 3. Both of those appeared on Crunchyroll and Netflix. The live-action adaptation, which appeared in 2023, is also on Netflix. 

Kimi ni Todoke season 3 will appear on Netflix on August 1, 2024, and the previous seasons are on Netflix and Crunchyroll. The manga is handled by Viz Media outside of Japan.

Alongside their localization announcements this week, NIS America also announced two new DVD/Blu-Ray releases of their anime licenses. The first is anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day Complete Series Edition. This is slated for release on July 3rd for $70.

The Complete Series Edition box will come with 38-page hard cover art book with character sketches, bios, other illustrations and an episode guide. The DVD/Blu-Ray discs will also contain a clean ending for episode 1, as well as commercials and teasers. You can learn more about this release here.

The other announcement was for the third season of Kimi ni Todoke –From me to You- Volume 3 Edition. This, too, will come with a hard cover art book (28 pages), two mini-episodes featuring Kurumi’s interpretation of two classic fairy tales, a special “Episode 0” and clean opening and ending.

Namco Bandai's Banpresto division is working on another Kimi ni Todoke game for the Nintendo DS. Kimi ni Todoke: Communicate Feelings is another visual novel and its on track for spring 2011 in Japan.

There's a teaser site for the game, but that's it for now. The first Kimi ni Todoke game, in case you missed it, had players help Sawako make friends by triggering chat events.

The shojo manga and anime Kimi ni Todoke, also known as Delivered to You or From Me to You is being made into a game, courtesy of Banpresto and Bandai Namco. Even though it is due out October 15, 2009, a lot of information isn't immediately available on the DS game. So far, it's looking like contains a mix of adventure, visual novel and communication game elements.

The manga and anime versions of Kimi ni Todoke follows the adventure of a high school girl named Sawako Kuronuma. All her life, she's kind of been ostracized by her classmates. She's extremely shy, which isn't bad on it's own, except she also is a dead ringer for the character Sadako from The Ring. So, she's become the target of teasing. People only call her Sadako.

When she enters high school, she discovers that her classmate Shota Kazehaya, the boy she's had a crush on for the longest time, likes her as well. Suddenly, people aren't treating her like Sadako the freak. They're actually treating her like Sawako the girl. Thanks to him, she starts to open up for the first time. The series chronicles Sawako's life as she makes friends with her fellow classmates and falls in love with Shota.

The Kimi ni Todoke game is going to follow the original storyline. Sawako is trying to make friends and open up to fellow students. This is accomplished by trying to trigger events with characters to unlock images and build relationships. You can see how well Sawako is doing by checking the "garden" on the top screen, where you're growing and nurturing the seeds of her relationships.

A website's already up, but there's not much there at the moment. It's mainly just an announcement, stating the game is on it's way.
