Aniplex has announced additional platforms for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board. The Demon Slayer board game, which is initially available on the Switch, will also come to the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on July 17, 2024.

Digital pre-orders for the game on the new platforms will be available starting from May 16, 2024. The board game will, however, be mostly available digitally. Only the Nintendo Switch version has had physical versions released both in Japan and internationally.

In addition, Aniplex also announced that CyberConnect2 will release a free update patch for all platforms in Summer 2024. This update will add Genya Shinazugawa and Kanao Tsuyuri as new playable characters. The game's initial roster has already featured Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and all nine Hashira .

Sweep the Board is a digital board game that can up to four players. The players will compete to collect points by playing mini-games in the day phase and slaying demons in the night phase. Aniplex is handling the original release in Japan, while Sega brings localizations of the game elsewhere globally.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board will be available on the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC on July 17, 2024. The Nintendo Switch version of the game is readily available worldwide.

The release date for Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mezase! Saikyou Taishi, a game known as Demon Slayer: Sweep the Board internationally, has allegedly been set for April 25, 2024 in Japan, said leaker ryokutya2089 in a post on their blog. Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mezase! Saikyou Taishi was revealed back on September 10, 2023 by Aniplex as a Damon Slayer board game-style party game for the Nintendo Switch. At that time, a release date for the game was not revealed beyond the 2024 release window.

Players will be able to use various characters from the Demon Slayer series and move them around on a board modeled after locations from the manga and anime. Tanjiro, Nezuko Zenitsu, Inosuke, and all nine Hashira are the characters currently announced to be in the game. As the player explore locations during the daytime through rolling the dice, minigames can be triggered in order to gain strength. At nighttime, players will have to hunt and slay demons. The winner of the game is declared the strongest Demon Slayer. Up to four players can play together both online and locally.

The English language version will be published by Sega outside of Japan under the name Demon Slayer: Sweep the Board. Sega announced back on September 13, 2023 that the game is set to release worldwide in 2024.

Currently, this game is the second Demon Slayer game to be released on the Nintendo Switch. The first game that came to the Nintendo Switch was the port of The Hinokami Chronicles, an arena fighter game developed by CyberConnect2.

The Japanese website is live for Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mezase! Saikyou Taishi. The English language website for the game is live, although it is just a placeholder website and has no information about the latest Demon Slayer game present on it.

Sega announced the Demon Slayer: Sweep the Board Nintendo Switch board game will appear worldwide and not just in Japan. Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mezase! Saikyou Taishi was originally announced on September 10, 2023. However, at the time only a Japanese version appeared. Now we know it will appear in every region when 2024 rolls around.

In Demon Slayer: Sweep the Board, players will use various characters from the series and send them around boards throughout the game based on places from the manga and anime. So far, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, Zenitsu, and the nine Hashira are confirmed as playable characters. As you “explore” places like Asakusa by spinning, you can trigger minigames and face demons. The winner ends up becoming the strongest Demon Slayer in the Corps.

The English language website for the game is already live. However, it is primarily acting as a placeholder at the moment. It doesn't show any information about the title yet. However, the Japanese trailer is available and offers an idea of what to expect from the Mario Party-like game.

This is the second Demon Slayer Switch game so far. The first is a port of The Hinokami Chronicles.

Aniplex revealed that it will release a new Demon Slayer board game for the Nintendo Switch in 2024. The game is currently known by its Japanese title Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mezase! Saikyou Taishi!, which we can also translate directly to Demon Slayer: Aim to be the Strongest Soldier!

This board game will up to four players in both offline and online modes. Each player will move around the board by using dice rolls. The game will have two time phases. Daytime will feature various mini-games to help players muster their strength. Nighttime will have them find and slay hostile demons.

The Japanese press release revealed that the board game will feature Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and all nine Hashira as playable characters. Tanjiro's sister Nezuko will only appear as a ing character, as she would not be able to do activities in the daytime.

Aniplex has published the reveal trailer for Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mezase! Saikyou Taishi! on its YouTube channel. This video is also available to watch outside of Japan.
