Nintendo announced that the another Indie World Showcase will air on November 14, 2023. The stream itself is set to last 20 minutes and is scheduled to go live at 9am PT, 12pm ET, or 6pm CET.

The showcase will give us a look at the indie games scheduled to come to Nintendo Switch over the next year or so, but may also include "shadowdropped" games that become available immediately or shortly after the stream.

At the previous event back in April 2023, we saw the announcement that games such as Mineko's Night Market, Oxenfree 2, and Blasphemous 2 would be coming to Switch. Meanwhile, last year's November stream saw Nintendo Switch launches confirmed for Inscryption, A Space for the Unbound, and World of Horror . Nintendo also recently denied rumours of a Nintendo Switch 2 that were circulating, while also announcing the production of a The Legend of Zelda live-action movie with Wes Ball slated to direct.

The Nintendo Indie World Showcase is scheduled to air on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 9 am Pacific, 12 pm Eastern, or 6 pm CET.

Now that the April 2023 Nintendo Indie World showcase aired worldwide, we have a better idea of all the Switch games on the way. As expected, the goal of this presentation was to essentially prepare people for titles for the rest of the year. Also, as expected, a few games did immediately appear on the eShop as shadowdrops. People can now pick up Teslagrad 2, Teslagrad Remastered, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, and Shadows Over Loathing.

There will be a Nintendo Indie World showcase on April 19, 2023. As usual, it will go over new and Switch indie games. The North American, European, and Japanese branches all shared the announcement. These presentations tend to include both shadowdropped games that are immediately available and looks at titles that will appear throughout the rest of the year. People can tune in at 9am PT/12pm ET/6pm CET.

The last presentation went over some games that still aren’t available yet and could show up during the showcase. For example, we could get new release windows or launch dates for Botany Manor, Dordogne, Pepper Grinder, Venba, Wrestlequest, and World of Horror could all show up again.

This is one of two showcases that will be held on April 19, 2023. Capcom also announced a presentation going over the next Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Switch and PC patch. That will discuss the fifth free content update's new features.

A Nintendo Indie World Showcase presentation will appear on November 9, 2022. Both the North American and European Twitter s shared the announcement. People will be able to tune in at 9am PT/12pm ET/6pm CET. As usual, Switch indie games will be shown off during the event.

The placeholder page is already live on YouTube. It noted that the November 2022 Indie World Showcase will come in at just under 30 minutes. There's a 25 minute run-time. As usual, this will mean announcements for new games, looks at already announced games, video footage, and perhaps even developer commentary.

This is only the second Nintendo showcase looking at independent developers' titles for 2022. The first one appeared in May 2022. Some of the games that showed up there and had a Fall or Winter 2022 release window included Batora: Lost Haven, A Guidebook of Babel, and Wildfrost. We could also learn more about Hollow Knight: Silksong. As these presentations tend to include shadowdrops, there will also likely be at least two games available immediately following the video presentation.

There won't be any first-party or major releases showing up here, however. Those are reserved for full Nintendo Directs. The last one focusing on games appeared back on September 13, 2022.

The next Nintendo Indie World Showcase will show off Switch games at 9am PT/12pm ET/6pm CET on November 9, 2022.

Time to learn about more indie games. On May 11, 2022, a Nintendo Indie World Showcase will appear. People can tune in to learn about games heading to the Nintendo Switch at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET/4 p.m. CET/11 p.m. JST. The official site also has the video folks can bookmark ahead of its debut. All regions will show one, with even the Japanese Twitter noting it.

Here's where you can watch the Indie World Showcase tomorrow.

As expected, we already know about how long the presentation will last. It will be about 20 minutes long. No titles were confirmed. However, all past Indie World streams all involved at least one shadowdrop game that appeared on the eShop later that day. For example, the Chicory Switch port was a December 2021 installment shadowdrop.

We do have a general idea about some titles that could appear this time around. During the December 2021 one, games like Afterlove EP, Aliisha, and Omori could get actual release dates. In the case of Omori, physical copy pre-orders already suggested a June 2022 release window. We could also learn more about anticipated titles like Hollow Knight: Silksong. However, the April showcases also tend to offer an idea of what people could end up seeing for the rest of the year.

The May 2022 Nintendo Indie World showcase will be held at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET/4 p.m. CET on May 11, 2022.

The latest Nintendo Indie Showcase for December 15, 2021 came and went. As usual, it went over titles expected to show up on the Nintendo Switch. While there were a few shadowdrops, the majority of the games are ones we won’t get to play until 2022. Those aside, Chicory, Dungeon Munchies, and Let’s Play Oink Games will appear on the eShop today.

Nintendo is closing out 2021 with one last presentation. As usual, the video won’t be a Nintendo Direct. Rather, the December 2021 affair will be an Indie World Showcase. People can tune in at 9am PT/12am ET/6pm CET on December 15, 2021. It will be available on YouTube.

Here’s the official announcement. As usual, only Switch games will be covered in the December 2021 Indie Showcase. Also, Nintendo confirmed it will be about 20 minutes long.

This isn't at all uncommon. The December 2020 Indie World Showcase was held on December 15, 2020. In 2019 it appeared a bit earlier, as it was held on December 10, 2019.

As for what games we might expect to see, it's a bit of a mystery. Usually, a title from previous showcases in the year appears as a shadowdrop. However, most of the titles in past showcases either are already out or won't appear until 2022. However, Hundred Days: Winemaking Simulator does have a Holiday 2021 release window.

Nintendo has a new presentation planned. On April 14, 2021 at 9am PT/12pm ET/6pm CET , the next Indie World Showcase will appear. The 20 minute long presentation will focus on new games coming to the Nintendo Switch. If it follows the same pattern as the last few presentations, it will also include a few “shadowdrop” games that will be available sometime after the presentation airs that day.

As for what people might see, there are quite a few titles from the December 2020 presentation that could come back again. We could get release date updates for games like Alba: A Wildlife Adventure, Finding Paradise, and Spelunky and Spelunky 2. Mineko’s Night Market could get a release window too. And we still haven’t seen things like Bear and Breakfast or Garden Story, which showed up in the August 2020 showcase. Also, Hollow Knight Silksong is still in development and among the indie games for the system.

With the Grindstone Switch port, one of Apple Arcade's most compelling exclusives is available to more players. It took some adjustments for it to fit and control well on its new platform! Still, it's as engaging and addicting as ever in its new form.

In Grindstone, you ascend a mountain through hundreds of puzzle levels. Its closest peers are games like Puzzle & Dragons: you study the board and find the best path to move through color-coded foes for the biggest combo. Jorj, the main character, can move and attack through any number of “Creeps” of the same color. Special items and foes can let you switch colors. Longer combos reward you with more items when the board refills.

Both the refined balance and the sense of progression in Grindstone show the expertise the team at Capy has built in the puzzle genre. Don’t get us wrong: we still badly want another Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes! But Grindstone carries on that tradition. It gives you colorful puzzle boards with interesting choices. It gives you interesting powers to use through collectible items and equipment. Perhaps most importantly, it gives you a really fun time for a really long time.

The Grindstone Switch port takes full advantage of the hardware, offering a hybrid option that lets you play how you want. Though there were ways to play the game on a Mac or Apple TV, it was largely and originally designed as a portrait mobile experience. Capy has reworked the interfaces and controls to feel more natural and better fill the screen. The board’s still vertical, of course! So the left and right of the screen show you the information you need and give you buttons for your equipped items that were below the board on mobile.

You can use buttons to play, or completely rely on the touch screen if you’d like. Is the Switch touch screen as accurate or reliable as a phone screen? No. No, it definitely isn’t. But it’s still a natural enough way to play. Buttons work fairly well too! Though this is a game that often needs you to move diagonally on the board, so you’ll have to use the somewhat more finicky option, the analog stick, at least sometimes. If you’ve played the game on Apple Arcade, it’s not exactly refined enough to coax you into a second playthrough. For new players, it should be fine.

Grindstone’s stint on Apple Arcade has brought with it a number of content and feature updates, and all of those are packed into the Nintendo Switch release. The game quickly offers you variety in equipment and strategies! If you’re, say, someone who prefers items that don’t break or deplete on your runs? There’s still some variety there that wasn’t at the Apple Arcade launch. Having trouble with a particular stage? You should have a host of weaponry to bust out for the occasion. As if the core adventure weren’t enough, Grindstone also offers daily generated runs and leaderboards.

Since it takes a lot of time and talent to make a game as good as Grindstone, Switch players should be psyched to have the game on the system. It does so many things right, and keeps you coming back with new ideas and challenges.

Grindstone is available now for $19.99 on the Nintendo Switch eShop. It's also available on Apple Arcade.

A free update for Untitled Goose Game, the indie hit from developer House House, was announced in Nintendo's Indie World presentation on August 18, 2020. The update, which is slated for release on September 23, adds two-player cooperative play.

The free update will be released on all platforms, allowing players to work together through the entirety of the game's campaign. Also releasing on September 23, 2020 are the Steam and Itch.io versions of Untitled Goose Game, co-op update included.

Untitled Goose Game co-op gives players a new excuse to return to a game that sold over a million copies. We took at look at the game at its initial Nintendo Switch release, and found it to be a great simulation of being a jerk. Now you can be a jerk with a friend!

The Untitled Goose Game co-op update announcement was featured in Nintendo's August 2020 Indie World presentation, a 20-minute video that covered Nintendo Switch games from smaller developers. Also featured at the event were Hades, Hypnospace Outlaw, Spiritfarer, Garden Story, Subnautica, Takeshi & Hiroshi, Raji: An Ancient Epic, Bear & Breakfast, A Short Hike, Card Shark, Torchlight III, Manifold Garden and Evergate.

It’s not a Nintendo Direct, but it is a Nintendo-themed video presentation. The next Nintendo Indie World video has been announced. On August 18, 2020, people can pop on at 9am PT/12pm ET/6pm CET to find out about new Switch indie games on the way. (Or, as the company would call them, Nindies.)

A few details were revealed for this Nindies presentation. It will be a 20 minute look at Switch indie games. We also don’t know exactly which titles could appear. However, during the last presentation, some indies that are on the way and haven’t show up yet are Cyanide and Happiness: Freakpocalypse, Best Friend Forever, Dicey Dungeons, I am Dead, Pixeljunk Eden 2, and Sky.

August Nintendo Indie World presentations aren’t uncommon. There was one on August 19, 2019, in fact! That’s when we found out about Blasphemous, Dungeon Defenders: Awakened, Hotline Miami Collection, Ori and the Blind Forest, Spiritfarer, Torchlight II, and Superhot. Hotline Miami Collection and Superhot were the shadowdrops. The last one in 2020 was the March 2020 Nindies report.

The new Nintendo Indie World video will show up at 9am PT/12pm ET/6pm CET on August 18, 2020 and last for 20 minutes. It might be a good idea for people to expect at least one shadowdrop announcement.
