Cover and Bushiroad shared previews for some of the cards that will be available in the new Hololive Official Card Game booster pack, Curious Universe. The companies will release the new booster pack in Japan and Asia in late June 2025.

The new booster pack will add cards based on more Vtubers from the multinational group. The preview list features Natsuiro Matsuri, Oozora Subaru, Yukihana Lamy, Momosuzu Nene, La+ Darknesss, and Hakui Koyori from the original JP generation groups, as well as Ichijou Ririka and Juufuutei Raden from the newer DEV_IS group. It also includes Koseki Bijou, Cecilia Immergreen, Shiori Novella, and Raora Panthera from Hololive English, with the two Indonesian Vtubers Anya Melfissa and Kaela Kovalskia completing the lineup.

In addition, Curious Universe will have new cards for nine Vtubers who have already been featured in prior starter decks and booster packs. The Vtubers in question will be Shirakami Fubuki, Murasaki Shion, Ookami Mio, and Houshou Marine from Hololive JP, as well as Moona Hoshinova, Kureiji Ollie, and Pavolia Reine from Hololive ID. Calliope and IRyS from the English branch will complete the list.

The Curious Universe booster pack for Hololive Official Card Game will be available in Japanese language on Friday, June 20, 2025. A global English localization of the cards is also in the works.

Cover and Bushiroad have released the third wave of starter decks for the Hololive Official Card Game. There are three new decks available, and each of them respectively features the Japanese Hololive Vtubers Todoroki Hajime, Kazama Iroha, and Shiranui Flare.

Just like the first two waves, the Hololive Official Card Game starter decks are available at ¥990 (~$6) per package. Each deck contains a total of 71 cards, which consist of an Oshi HoloMem Card of the featured Vtuber, 50 cards that comprise the main deck, and 20 single-colored Yell Cards.

In addition, Cover revealed the third booster pack for the card game, which will be titled "Elite Spark." It will release the new booster pack on March 21, 2025. This pack will also be the first to feature yellow-colored cards that are also included in the newly released Shiranui Flare starter deck.

Cover and Bushiroad have announced that they will produce an English version of the Hololive Official Card Game. The companies will release the localized cards worldwide with a focus on the Anglosphere within 2025.

The news post on the title's official Japanese website noted that the original Japanese version released in September 2024 was made available in not only Japan but also in the rest of Asia. The new press releases added that the companies will sell the English cards and hold events worldwide, with a specific focus on North America.

As this announcement is still very fresh, it is yet to be known how the English version will catch up with the original Japanese release. Cover and Bushiroad released the second wave of starter decks and booster packs for the trading card game in December 2024 in Japan. As of the second wave, the starter decks available for this TCG feature the following five Japanese Vtubers: Tokino Sora, AZKi, Nakiri Ayame, Nekomata Okayu, and Yuzuki Choco.

The companies have also set up a new official X for the English version of Hololive Official Card Game, with the first announcement tweet as follows:

Cover announced that it will give away free TCG decks from its Hololive Official Card Game at the Hololive Super Expo 2025. People will be able to find the giveaways at the "Holocard in Wonderland" booth in the event's venue at Makuhari Messe.

The TCG giveaways at the Hololive Super Expo 2025 will consist of two types of sample decks and four kinds of Special Yell Cards. When a visitor receives one of the decks for free, they will get a total of 74 cards. Other than the Special Yell Card, which is also given at random, the deck will consist of 50 primary deck cards, 20 regular Yell Cards, 2 Oshi HoloMem Cards, and a manual card explaining the gameplay basics.

Despite handing out free decks, some of the cards included there will be banned from the TCG's official tournaments. The exact decks will be instead allowed at starter deck-exclusive gatherings, which Cover will hold at card game shops across Japan starting from March 2024.

Hololive Super Expo 2025 will take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, on March 8-9, 2025. People will be able to get a free Hololive Official Card Game deck and card at the "Holocard in Wonderland" booth while supplies last.

Cover has released the second wave of starter decks and booster packs for Hololive Official Card Game on December 20, 2024. The new packs contain more new cards that feature talents from the Vtuber group.

There are three new starter decks for Hololive Official Card Game, and each of them will contain 71 cards at ¥990 ($6). The three decks will star Nakiri Ayame, Nekomata Okayu, and Yuzuki Choco, respectively.

Ayame's deck will have spot appearances by Shirakami Fubuki and Ookami Mio, while Inugami Korone and La+ Darknesss will show up in Okayu's deck. Oozora Subaru and Himemori Luna will complete the guest roster in Choco's deck.

In addition, Cover simultaneously released the second booster pack series, which is titled "Quintet Spectrum" with 107 regular cards in the list. Just like the first pack "Blooming Radiance," a single pack containing eight cards will be available for purchase at ¥440 ($2.67) apiece. But while "Blooming Radiance" only contained 20 parallel cards with Hoshimachi Suisei as the only Oshi HoloMem, the new "Quintet Spectrum" lineup will boast 112 parallel cards with 7 new primary Oshi HoloMem cards.

Other highlights in the new booster pack include character designs from Magical Girl holoWitches appearing as Spot HoloMem Cards. The list also includes Sakamata Chloe, who will withdraw from both the aforementioned project and general public activities including live streams in 2025.

Cover has published more details about Hololive Official Card Game, including its release date. After previously teasing the trading card game in April 2024, the company will start formally releasing it on September 20, 2024.

In this new card game, the player will act as a producer and fan who is tasked to set up a stage for the Vtubers to perform while sending cheering yells to them and make them outshine the competing side.

Cards in this game will be available in the following four categories:

• Oshi (Favorite) HoloMem Card: A key character card that the player will place permanently on their stage area and separately from the deck. This card will also have a Life value that determines the character's durability.
• HoloMem Card: Regular talent character cards that will help the Oshi HoloMem hype up the player's stage by performing Arts.
• Card: Item or fan character cards that will give ing effects to the player's stage and HoloMems.
• Yell Card: Cards that HoloMems must equip to perform their Arts. Each card type will also have additional effects, making them similar to Special Energy Cards in Pokemon TCG.

The first starter deck for this card game will feature Tokino Sora and AZKi as the two available Oshi HoloMem cards. It will also consist of 20 Yell cards and 50 more cards from the HoloMem and categories that will complete the basic deck. This set will cost 1,980 yen (~$12.55).

Cover will also sell the first booster pack set "Blooming Radiance" at the same time. A pack will cost 440 yen (~$2.80), and the set will have a total of 133 cards. This number only counts cards with unique effects, but there will also be Parallel versions of the cards with alternative illustrations or glittering effects.

Cover Corporation revealed that it will release a new trading card game based on Hololive Production Vtubers. The game's title will be Hololive Official Card Game, and Cover will also receive assistance from Bushiroad when developing and releasing it.

Cover has also ed a teaser trailer for the new trading card game on Hololive Production's Japanese official X . The company so far only published the title's logo and the tentative design for the cards' back side. However, in the Japanese press release, it promised that the cards will feature both new and existing illustrations of the Vtubers.

This is not the first time Cover and Bushiroad have co-operated in releasing Hololive TCG cards. The company had previously worked together to release Hololive Production booster packs for the crossover trading card game Weiss Schwarz in 2022. The lineup back then featured 53 Vtubers from the Japanese, Indonesian, and English branches who were active at that time.

While Weiss Schwarz was primarily designed by Bushiroad, Cover will take the primary role in deg the gameplay system for the Hololive trading card game and developing the cards. Bushiroad will assist the company in distributing the cards to multiple shop outlets and organizing tournaments for the game.

Hololive Official Card Game will be available in September 2024.
