Hololive Vtuber Nanashi Mumei announced she will be graduating from Cover's company on April 28, 2025. She cited issues with her health, as well as "internal misalignment in the company" as reasons for her departure.

Known for her singing, drawing, and live performances, Mumei suffered from chronic health problems including a persistent cough that have affected her ability to stream and perform. She also was attending college while performing as a Vtuber. She stated that she intends to take part in multiple collaborations with other in the time before her graduation.

Mumei debuted back in August 2021 as part of Hololive English's Council generation. After the graduation of member Tsukumo Sana in 2022, the unit merged into a new unit called Hololive Promise alongside Vsinger IRyS. As of the time of Mumei's graduation, Hakos Baelz and Ouro Kronii are the only original of Council still remaining.

Fellow Hololive Promise member and Council alumnus Ceres Fauna also graduated earlier in 2025. Meanwhile, Hiodoshi Ao of Hololive DEV_IS ReGLOSS is taking a break to focus on her personal health.

Hololive Vtubers Fuwawa and Mococo Abyssgard, known together as Fuwamoco, announced they will be taking a brief hiatus to deal with personal obligations. The twins didn't announce a firm date for their return, but they do have a return stream scheduled for March 30, 2025. That date could change in the future.

The announcement came via social media, but the pair also discussed it briefly during the final portion of a recent Phasmophobia stream. The trip is expected to last "a bit more than one week," during which time they will be meeting with their parents, but they also clarified that this hiatus is not a vacation. The twin Vtubers will be performing some important obligations during that time as well. Their next expected stream is scheduled on their Youtube channel, along with a stream meant to serve as an open chatroom for their fans to use while they are away.

Sega revealed that it has released new crossover goods featuring Hololive English Vtubers and Sonic the Hedgehog characters in South Korea and Taiwan. People living there can find the merchandise in select Animate Cafe outlets.

This collaboration features the following five pairings between Hololive English Vtubers and Sonic series characters:

1. Ninomae Ina'nis with Sonic the Hedgehog
2. Ouro Kronii with Miles "Tails" Prower
3. IRyS with Knuckles the Echidna
4. Koseki Bijou with Amy Rose
5. Shiori Novella with Shadow the Hedgehog

On a side note, the Sonic characters are specifically modeled after their appearances in the TikTok short animation series Sonic & Friends. This also marks the first time Animate sells merchandise based on this title in its Asian cafe outlets outside Japan.

Prices for the merchandise range from 7,500 won (~$5.10) for a pin badge to 25,500 won (~$17.30) for a large acrylic stand of each Vtuber in normal proportions holding the respective Sonic character plush. In addition, the cafe is selling a set of crossover cakes at 12,000 won (~$8.15) and two types of drinks themed after Kronii-Tails and Shiori-Shadow priced at 7,000 won (~$4.75) each.

In the same Japanese press release, Sega added that it has been collaborating with Hololive Vtubers to promote its games on their streams. Ninomae Ina'nis, who went on a hiatus in October 2024, has since returned and published a gameplay stream of Sonic X Shadow Generations in December 2024.

The crossover merchandise between Hololive English and Sonic & Friends is available at Animate Cafe outlets in South Korea's Busan and Hongdae, Seoul, as well as Ximen in Taipei City, Taiwan, until Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Hololive English Vtuber Ceres Fauna announced that she will graduate from the agency on January 3, 2025. The announcement came in a short stream followed by a statement from parent company Cover. It appears she will not become an "" of the company like some previous , such as Amelia Watson, have.

Ceres Fauna originally debuted back in August 2021, as part of Hololive English Council, the branch's second generation. After the graduation of gen-mate Tsukumo Sana, the group was reformed with the addition of VSinger IRyS as Hololive English Promise. Fauna was known for her ASMR videos, but also streamed games from a variety of genres, including horror and Strategy.

Cover has stated that information regarding merchandise will be released at a later date, but that the deadline for fan letters is the same as her graduation date and that Youtube channel hip will remain until April 4, 2025. Interestingly, it seems that this is a graduation and not a move to status like Amelia Watson and Sakamata Chloe, who also recently ceased streaming activities with the company.

Ninomae Ina'nis, a Vtuber from Hololive English's Myth group, announced on October 9, 2024 that she will be essentially going on hiatus due to being unable to stream or post on social media "until further notice." She hopes to be able to talk about it sometime next week, after her flight home.

While Ina did not elaborate, she did say it was due to an internal logistical issue that she tried to overcome. She also left a follow-up tweet stating that she "wasn't going anywhere," likely to assuage fears of a graduation following the departure of Amelia Watson. A Hololive Production tweet stated that her manager would be operating her social media during the period. In the meantime, she has said she will likely have to cancel her streams and pull out of events, which may include the 7 Days to Die collaboration she was scheduled to participate in alongside many other Hololive English .

Back in July, 2024, Ina appeared as part of the Halloween themed Hololive Figure Collection Volume 2, alongside the rest of Hololive English Myth. Meanwhile, last month fellow Myth-member Amelia Watson announced she is stepping back from her streaming activities and will only be a Hololive .

Hololive English Myth member Amelia Watson has announced she will be concluding her streaming activities, though she will remain an of Hololive Production. Her last stream will be on September 30, 2024, while her Youtube hip will stay online until October 31, 2024. You can read Cover's official statement and find more details here.

Amelia Watson debuted back in September, 2020, as part of the first generation of Hololive English talents, known as Myth. She became known for playing FPS games, as well as for organizing events such as Myth's unofficial 3D debut in VR Chat for the group's first anniversary.

Amelia also took to Youtube with a short stream explaining what was happening, and stated that it was "technically not a graduation by name". In a comment under the stream, she clarified that this means that while she will not be streaming she may still participate in Hololive projects "every once in a while".

Amelia Watson debuted her 3D model back in March, 2023, as well as starring in the animated short series Hologra. She also featured in a line of Halloween-themed figures based on Myth's appearance in the 'Myth or Treat' music video.

Hololive English Myth member Amelia Watson will conclude streaming activities on September 30, 2024. Cover will accept fan letters until November 29, 2024, and her Youtube hip will be available until October 31, 2024.

The stable of talent for Hololive English is getting pretty packed, with 4 full generations currently active under the branch. It should be no surprise, then, that they had more than enough skilled singers to hold their own annual concert in a prominent venue. But what was a pleasant surprise was how the Hololive Breaking Dimensions concert didn't just lean on the agency's strongest singers and most popular like Gawr Gura or guests like Hoshimachi Suisei, but let the less accomplished or newer performers have their own time to shine and show how much they'd improved.

Taking place at New York's Kings Theatre on August 25 and 26, 2024, the Breaking Dimensions concert was the second official Hololive English show after 2023's Connect the World. Performing this time were the entirety of Hololive English's first 3 generations: Myth, Promise (née Council and Project: Hope), and Advent, alongside four guests from the Japanese and Indonesian branches. Together they performed over 30 songs both solo and in groups, broken up by short breaks where some of the girls would lead the crowd in call and response. The concert did not include the more recently debuted group Hololive Justice, but in a nice touch they provided voiceover both before and after each show.

Both days of the Hololive Breaking Dimensions concert started off with some real crowdpleasers: HoloMyth took pride of place with 'ReUnion' followed by IRyS' eurobeat-inspired 'Carbonated Love' on day 1, while day 2 started with Advent singing their original song 'Rebellion' with Hakos Baelz' 'Gekirin' afterwards. I'd seen Bae perform before at DreamHack Melbourne but her skill at dancing still took me by complete surprise, even if I didn't completely vibe with the song itself. Other highlights included noted Hatsune Miku fan Gawr Gura singing 'World is Mine', and Moona Hoshinova being ed by Suisei, IRyS, and Baelz for powerful performance of 'High Tide'.

But beyond those established vocal powerhouses, what really impressed me was how the less musically-focused had improved, and even stepped up to perform excellent solos. Ninomae Ina'nis, sometimes something of a shrinking violet, stunned when she began belting out the falsetto for 'Synchrogazer'. Meanwhile, Ceres Fauna not only debuted a new song alongside gen-mate Nanashi Mumei, but also took to the stage solo with a rendition of 'Mayonaka no Door (Stay With Me)'. Thats not to say they haven't performed well before, but the confidence they displayed at Breaking Dimensions was on another level and wonderful to see, especially having followed some of them since debut.

Similarly, each member of Hololive Advent got their own solo at Breaking Dimensions, on top of ing various combinations of other . Rising stars FuwaMoco even got two solos (duos?), proving their performance chops with their original song, 'Born to be a "BAU"DOL!', and a cover of Houshou Marine and Gawr Gura's 'Shinkiro'. Meanwhile, Nerissa Ravencroft struggled not to steal the show in every song she appeared in and Koseki Bijou put on a pretty stellar performance of 'Koi wa Sensou'. It was a very strong showing considering they hadn't even debuted by the time of last year's concert, and I look forward to seeing what newcomers Justice will bring when next year's event rolls around.

If I had to criticise something, it's that the expressions on the models during the MC sections could look a little stiff. They were fine during the performances themselves where they could possibly have been pre-programmed to match the choreography, but during the more freeform sections the tech they used couldn't seem to keep up with their expressions.

But despite that, the Breaking Dimensions showed off a major part of the appeal of Hololive, and Vtubers in general. It's not just the talent and hard work of the performers that is compelling, though it is plenty impressive, but the personal touch gained by watching them adapt and grow. That's what keeps me, at least, coming back to see them and it's why I'll be looking forward to the next EN concert in 2025.

Cover announced volume 2 of the Hololive Collection series of figures, this time featuring the English Myth Vtuber generation wearing Halloween costumes. The figures will cost 1,320 JPY (~$8.40) each and will be available to order on July 24, 2024.

The figures depict each of the of Hololive English's first generation wearing the Halloween costumes used in the 2021 music video "Myth or Treat." Gawr Gura wears a dinosaur costume, itself a reference to a dinosaur mask worn the previous Halloween, while Kiara Takanashi dresses as a vampire. Calliope Mori is a blood-stained nurse, Ninomae Ina'nis is a mad scientist complete with lab coat and swirly glasses, and Amelia Watson is a pumpkin.

Each of the Hololive English Myth Halloween figures will come with a base and stand, and they will be be able to have their heads tilted upward. They keep the same "smol" art style as the previous collection, but won't be sold as blind boxes this time. Instead, fans will be able to choose which character to receive when they go on sale via Geekjack on July 24, 2024.

Cover has announced the debut stream dates for the 3D models of Hololive English -Advent- Vtubers. All five Vtubers in the group will gradually reveal their 3D models throughout early August 2024.

The Advent group comprises Shiori Novella, Koseki Bijou, Nerissa Ravencroft, Fuwawa Abyssgard, and Mococo Abyssgard. While each Vtuber would usually have their own debut stream, Fuwawa and Mococo will have a single stream since they also share the FUWAMOCO channel.

Here are the 3D debut stream dates in American time zones. Also note that despite the different dates, all streams will start at the same hour at 8am PDT / 11pm EDT.

Cover has been gradually giving 3D models to Vtubers under its Hololive Production. It first announced the 3D debuts of Hololive English -Advent- on the same day it confirmed the June 2024 3D debut dates of Holostars English Tempus Vanguard Vtubers in late May 2024. Roughly a whole year will have ed from the initial debuts of Advent Vtubers in late July 2023 until they get their 3D models.

The Hololive English -Advent- 3D debuts will begin with Shiori Novella's stream on August 2, 2024, and conclude with the FUWAMOCO sisters on August 10, 2024.

The Suicide Squad ISEKAI anime released its full opening theme song, featuring vocals from Hololive's Calliope Mori. The anime is set to premiere on June 27, 2024, and the opening was released on YouTube via Warner Bros. Japan's channel.

The Suicide Squad ISEKAI opening theme, "Go-Getters," is composed by Giga and TeddyLoid with lyrics by Calliope Mori and Yuki Tsujimura. 

The video highlights the titular Suicide Squad : Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, King Shark, and Amanda Waller. The accompanying video showcases the cast dancing to the song, with Waller, the hardcore government official in charge of the team, prominently displaying intense dance moves and poses reminiscent of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. In contrast, the squad is showing off their style with poses reminiscent of Vogue magazine, with Harley Quinn prominently displaying center stage.

Suicide Squad ISEKAI  features , Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S., assembling a group of notorious criminals for a mission. Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark are sent into an otherworldly realm, an "ISEKAI" filled with fantasy creatures such as orcs and dragons.

"Go-Getters" by Mori Calliope will be streaming from July 5, 2024 alongside the show, and can be found on various music platforms here.

Hololive Production has confirmed that Calliope Mori's second album, titled Phantomime, will be available on August 16, 2024. The agency also revealed details about the album's physical releases that are available for pre-orders internationally via the Vtuber's official web store. The album's CDs will contain ten tracks at default, but some of the packages may add a bonus track.

The standard edition CD will be available at $31, and it will simply contain a CD that includes a bonus track. The limited edition will bundle the basic 10-track CD with a folder poster and three alternative covers inside a frame-styled packaging at $53. There will also be a Limited Dead Box with even more content. At $76, the hardbook-styled packaging will contain a CD with a different bonus track, a folded poster, a random postcard, a random trading card with its holder, and a hip of the Dead card.

Hololive Production is also holding a limited-time pre-order window for a standard edition of "Phantomime" that includes an exclusive signed card. This version has the exact same price tag as the regular one at $31, but people can only place pre-orders for this edition by June 4, 2024, at 10:59 AM JST (June 3, 2024, at 9:59 PM ET).

Calliope Mori is one of Hololive Production's Vtubers who is widely known for her musical skills. In December 2023, she collaborated with fellow Hololive English Vtuber Kiara Takanashi to produce the song "Fire N Ice." Calliope also held a free online concert on her birthday on April 4, 2024.

I confess that I've never really bought in to the whole "Vtubers as idols" thing. I've always thought of them as streamers first and musicians or performers second, despite liking a good amount of the music they've produced. But after sitting down to watch the Hololive x DreamHack: Down Under concert, I'm starting to see the appeal, especially after only six Vtubers covered so many styles and songs.

Taking place on the April 27, 2024 during DreamHack Melbourne 2024, the concert was a return to old stomping grounds for Hololive EN's Hakos Baelz. Performing alongside her was fellow EN member Calliope Mori, with Pavolia Reine and Kureiji Ollie from the Indonesian branch and Houshou Marine and Tokoyami Towa representing the Japanese side. The concert was a much smaller and more manageable affair than the multi-day behemoth that was the Hololive 5th Fes back in March 2024, but there was still a good spread of powerful singers and natural entertainers. Plus, it's always nice to see representation from all the branches together.

Even before the show itself started, the crowd led a touching moment. As the camera lingered on an audience member's plushie of Hololive alumnus and fellow Aussie Tsukumo Sana, a chant went up for the streamer who is clearly sorely missed almost two years after her graduation. It's always fun to see of the audience displaying their merchandise or handmade signs, and like in their streams the talents had a few moments of interaction. For example, during an intermission, Mori Calliope disproved the idea of the show being recorded by calling out another audience member who had mimed a kiss between a plushie of her and gen-mate Takanashi Kiara.

When the concert truly began, it was with Towa, Calli, and Bae singing "Journey Like A Thousand Years," which was the first original group song produced for Hololive English Myth. It was a rousing introduction to be sure, and yet the follow-up would only intensify the atmosphere as Kureiji Ollie brought her signature frenetic energy to the stage. Performing her original song "Jollie Jollie," she somehow managed to to match the stage presence of the previous three all by herself.

The first segment of the show, which is available to watch for free on Youtube, was rounded out with Hololive mainstay Houshou Marine and her song "Bishoujo Muzai Pirates." Marine's music runs the gamut from hypnotic rhythms to piratical anthems and raunchy swing tunes, so this medley of different styles allowed her to show off her range. But one thing I really appreciated was seeing parts of the music video shown on the stage backing. It's a nice simple way to fill some space, sure, but a lot of Marine's MV's in particular have some charming visuals and it's nice to seem them shown off again.

About a third of the way through the Hololive x DreamHack concert, an intermission MC'ed by Calli and Bae saw the return of the notorious "EN Curse," as some technical troubles ensued with one of their mics. Swiftly sorted out, the moment and the intermission as a whole served as a palette cleanser before the next part of the show. Kicked off, fittingly, by Towa performing "Palette." A significant shift in tone, this act was a more crooning and mellow affair with the audience's attention held not by active choreography but simply Towa's powerful voice. Afterwards, she was ed on stage by Pavolia Reine for a duet cover of Moona Hoshinova's "High Tide," prompting a big cheer from the crowd.

Moona is known as a bit of a songstress herself, but if there were any to keep up with her it was these two. I don't think I'd heard the two Hololive talents sing together before so I was surprised by how their voices worked so well at DreamHack, with Towa's deeper voice providing a nice contrast to Reine's as they each switched who took the lead on vocals.

The next set was an EN branch double bill with Calliope's "Wanted, Wasted" and Bae's "Mess," and while both were very well performed I was drawn again to the choreography and specifically, how it was affected by model and design of the Vtuber in question. I couldn't help but feel like Mori's model, with the long hair, skirt and veil, felt a bit stiff compared to her more active movements. Meanwhile, Baelz' design (which I it took a while to grow on me after I first saw it) felt much better suited to the stage as her baggy sleeves and ribbons accentuated her movements like a cheerleader's pom-poms.

The next few songs wound down the tone with Reine's "Illusion Night," followed by Calli performing her One Piece-themed song "Future Island" alongside Marine. Bae and Ollie followed up with a cover of "Q." It was a particular treat to see how the difference in singers affect those last two, like how Bae and Ollie's twinned energy and attitude gelled excellently with the tone of the song.

The final two songs were both total crowdpleasers. One was "Blue Clapper" with Marine, Ollie, and Reine, with an ensemble finale of "Shiny Smiley Story", complete with a wardrobe change into their proper 'Idol' outfits. As something of a Hololive theme song, "SSS" is at this point slick and well practiced for a lot of the talents but it remains novel since who exactly performs it and how many there are changes with each show. It's always entertaining trying to pick out different voices in the harmonies and hear how the song is split up between each of them.

It's hard not to marvel at not just the multitude of different singers Hololive has gathered together over the years, but also at the range of styles they can perform. Even with only 6 performers, the Hololive x DreamHack concert covered a multitude of genres, from powerful ballads and frenetic rap to Idol anthems. I've said before I'm not much for idols, but I'm still looking forward to seeing what future concerts and other talents can bring to the table.

A new trailer appeared for the Western release of Earth Defense Force 6, confirming a July release date and showcasing new DLC featuring Hololive Vtubers. Takanashi Kiara, Gawr Gura, and IRyS will be available as in-game equipment as part of the Early Purchase incentive. The game, which is already available in Japan and other Asian territories, will now launch on July 25, 2024, after the Spring launch window was delayed.

The Hololive Vtuber DLC will be available to those who purchase the game before December 24, 2024, while those who pre-order will also get 24-hour early access and a Wing Diver jetpack. The Japanese release previously had its own Hololive collaboration, featuring Japanese branch streamers Shirakami Fubuki, Nakiri Ayame, and long time series fan Ookami Mio.

After releasing in Japan back in 2022, EDF 6 ended up with a Western release window of Spring, 2024. This was later pushed back to Summer, 2024, while the English language PS4 and PS5 version launched as planned in Asian countries in March, 2024.

The items include a watch, backpack, jacket, and an acrylic stand designed to link with the one from the previous collaboration with Gawr Gura.

Each of the items display Kiara's orange, blue and white color scheme and are expected to ship in late December, 2024. The watch is available for $250 and features motifs from her sword, shield and beret while the back displays an etching of her mascot Kotori. The jacket, which goes for $230, is available in 4 sizes and also contains several motifs on the arms, breast, and back. The backpack will cost $190 and will fit A4 sized items in the main compartment, and comes with an original lining. Finally, the acrylic stand will set you back $25 dollars and stands approximately 8 inches tall, with a base that interlocks with other stands from the SuperGroupies x Hololive English collection. Pre-orders for these items end on May 6, 2024, and orders of the watch, jacket and backpack also include a clear file with the stand's illustration on it. The illustrations were provided by illustrator Sakura, who also illustrated the ones for Gawr Gura.
