Heaven Burns Red's global version pre-registration has exceeded 100,000 s. Developer Wright Flyer Studios and publisher Yostar Games announced the mobile game's global release in July 2024. It only just cleared its latest benchmark.

The game is a mobile gacha RPG written by Jun Maeda, responsible for the story of Clannad, Angel Beats, and Little Busters. It originally released in February 2022 in Japan. The global version was announced during Anime Expo 2024. Since September 2024, pre-registrations have been open.

Wright Flyer Studios made a post to the official X to celebrate the achievement of the 100k pre-registrations milestone which you can see here:

The current rewards of the milestones are as follows:

• 10,000 registrations – 500 Quartz
• 20,000 registrations – 500 Quartz
• 40,000 registrations – 1,000 Quartz
• 60,000 registrations – 1,000 Quartz
• 100,000 registrations – 10-Roll Ticket Recruitment x1
• 150,000 registrations – SS Ruka Kayamori
• 200,000 registrations – 10-Roll Ticket Recruitment x2

As of right now, the next milestone is 150,000 for the SS character Ruka Kayamori, with the current tally of pre-ed s being 113,361. The game opened its pre-registration in September of 2024 ahead of its official release date, with rewards for all players who before the expected launch.

There is currently no official release date for Heaven Burns Red, but the Apple Store states that the expected release date is November 15, 2024. The official site has no confirmed release window at this time. The game will be available on iOS, Android and Steam.

Pre-registration has now opened for the English version of Heaven Burns Red. Players can now through the official site ahead of the game’s release. Registration is available for PC, iOS and Android.

Yostar Games has also revealed the pre-registration rewards available for Heaven Burns Red players. There are seven tiers of rewards, with the penultimate goal potentially awarding all players an SS Ruka Kayamori after clearing Day 3 in the game.

Here are all the pre-registration rewards that have been confirmed:

• 40,000 registrations – 1,000 Quartz

At the time of writing, only the first tier has been achieved, guaranteeing 500 Quartz for all players when the game launches.

Heaven Burns Red is a free-to-play turn-based RPG featuring up to 48 characters. The game is led by Ruka Kayamori, a former singer now battling to take on The Phage, a mysterious force that threatens humanity. The game released in Japan in 2022, while a Western release was confirmed at Anime Expo 2024. While pre-registration for Heaven Burns Red is now open, a release date has yet to be confirmed.

The English version of Heaven Burns Red is on its way, courtesy of publisher Yostar Games. The announcement was made at Anime Expo 2024.

Heaven Burns Red first released in 2022 to great acclaim. This free-to-play RPG stars Ruka Kayamori, a former singer now fighting for humanity against a mysterious force known as The Phage. Ruka and her fellow squad mates are capable of using powerful weapons and abilities known as Seraphim, the only thing that can stop The Phage. The game features turn-based battles where players choose a team from up to 48 characters, while the story is told through visual novel sequences.

A full trailer for the game’s English release was revealed at Anime Expo 2024. No release date has been confirmed for this release, and no platforms were announced either. However, the game released in Japan for PC, iOS and Android, so these will likely be the same platforms when it releases for a Western audience too.

Heaven Burns Red was developed by Key and Wright Flyer Studios, while Yostar Games will be publishing the English version of the game. It is the latest work from Jun Maeda, the creator of the visual novels Air and Clannad, as well as the writer for the Angel Beats anime. Heaven Burns Red also featured a crossover event with Angel Beats, where three characters from the anime made an appearance in the game.

Key and Wright Flyer Studios, developers of Heaven Burns Red, unveiled a special event for the game's first anniversary: A crossover with classic 2010 anime series Angel Beats!. The Heaven Burns Red x Angel Beats! crossover begins on Friday, February 10, 2023 in Japan [Thanks, Ryokutya2089!]

The official for Heaven Burns Red also posted promotional art to accompany the announcement. The art shows Heaven Burns Red protagonist Ruka Kayamori standing alongside three Angel Beats! characters: Yuri "Yurippe" Nakamura, Kanade "Angel" Tachibana, and Miyuki Irie. The event is titled "The Place Where The Cosmos Continue to Bloom" in Japanese.

According to the announcement, the Heaven Burns Red x Angel Beats! crossover event will be written by Jun Maeda, who created Angel Beats!, as well as serving as creative lead for Heaven Burns Red. Released in February 2022, Heaven Burns Red was developed as a collaborative project between Wright Flyer Studios and Key for Key's 21st anniversary. It stars young women who can wield weapons called "Seraphs" against an alien enemy called "Cancer", and blends visual novel storytelling elements with 3D battles.

Angel Beats! was first released in 2010, as an anime series produced by ASCII Media Works. It featured writing from Jun Maeda, and involvement from of Key in prominent positions such as character design and music composition. It's set in the afterlife, which takes the form of a Japanese high school. Yuzuru Otonashi, an amnesiac boy, wakes up in this afterlife, only to be recruited by Yuri Nakamura into the "SSS" (the "Shinda Sekai Sensen", or "Afterlife Battlefront"), a guerilla organization dedicated to rebelling against the unseen "God" that runs the afterlife. Representing God is the "Angel", another student who has supernatural powers, and who the SSS attack regularly with hand-crafted weapons. The anime was adapted into a manga, and received its own visual novel version developed by Key in 2015.

Heaven Burns Red is available on iOS and Android devices in Japan. The Angel Beats! crossover event kicks off on February 10, 2023.

Heaven Burns Red, a new RPG from Clannad and Angel Beats! developer Key, will launch on February 10, 2022. The information comes courtesy of the game's final pre-release trailer, which Key ed to its official YouTube channel.

The trailer sets up the premise of Heaven Burns Red. A mysterious alien life form called "Cancer" is attacking humanity, and conquered most of the Earth's surface. With mankind on the brink of calamity, it develops a new weapon called Seraph. Only young women with certain talents are able to wield Seraphs, and those capable are assembled into Seraph Units to go to war against the Cancers.

One such Seraph-wielder is Ruka Kayamori. She's the captain of Seraph Squad 31A, and former guitarist/vocalist for the famous rock band She Is Legend. She needs to balance her duties as a Seraph-wielder with her desire to return to her band alongside her squaddies. The game itself will feature visual novel-style storytelling segments. These will include character dialogue, bespoke event art, and choices. Field exploration segments will allow characters to explore the areas of humanity's last refuge, and 3D battles will show off the characters' abilities against the Cancers.

Heaven Burns Red was first announced in 2019 as Key celebrated its 21st anniversary. As the game is a mobile RPG, development was a collaboration between Key itself and Wright Flyer Studios, which developed Afterlost - Shoumetsu Toshi. The announcement also touted the return of Jun Maeda as creative head for the first time in 13 years. Maeda's previous work was Little Busters! Maeda wrote the main scenario and produced music for the game. After several delays out of its initial 2020 launch window, Key confirmed a final February 2022 window, then narrowed to next week as of this trailer.

Heaven Burns Red launches in Japan for iOS and Android on February 10, 2022. Localization plans have not yet been detailed.

Announced in 2019, it was revealed that Heaven Burns Red would be an RPG that would arrive on Android and iOS devices. However, details regarding the development of the title have remained scarce until now. Jun Maeda will lead the project as its creative head, as revealed during the original announcement of the title.

However, information regarding the livestream indicates that Heaven Burns Red will reappear as an entirely new title, as development as effectively restarted on the project.

First announced in 2019, Heaven Burns Red is currently in development for Android and iOS. It does not currently have a potential window of release.

Visual novel maker Key announced that their next game Heaven Burns Red, an RPG developed by Wright Flyer Studios, has been moved back from 2020 to a 2021 launch date.

As previously discussed, the game is the first full return of Jun Maeda as full creative head in 13 years since Little Busters!, and features Yuugen (character designer for the Mysterious subseries of the Atelier series) as character designer. The game’s theme song is ‘Before I Rise’, sung by Nagi Yanagi.

According to the team behind the game, the decision to delay the game is not being made lightly, and is being done to incorporate from fans since the announcement. They wish to reconsider the best way of providing Jun Maeda's signature storytelling to fans as an RPG, and whether it works as Key's first smartphone RPG. In order to pursue that ideal, they decided to delay the game to 2021.

Visual novel maker Key announced that they would have some news to celebrate their 21st anniversary (rather than their 20th anniversary) earlier this week, and it has been revealed to be Heaven Burns Red, an RPG genre game headed to iOS and Android.

The game is a collaboration between Key and Wright Flyer Studios, the studio behind smartphone hits such as the Shoumetsu Toshi series, and the developer of ForwardWorks' Wild Arms: Million Memories (which is ending service soon).

The game is being touted as the first full return of Jun Maeda as full creative head in 13 years since Little Busters!, and features Yuugen (whom you might know from the Mysterious subseries of the Atelier series) as character designer. The game's theme song has been revealed, and it's 'Before I Rise', sung by Nagi Yanagi.
