A pop-up shop for Yu-Gi-Oh GX will appear in several locations in Japan between January 25 and March 30, 2025. Entering the shop is free, and you can receive a special random bromide for every 2000 JPY you spend there.

The key visual for the Yu-Gi-Oh GX pop-up shop has Judai, Winged Kuriboh, Ed, Manjoume, Asuka, Johan, Ryo (Hell Kaiser) and Yubel. As a note, Judai appears as he does at the end of the series. Fans refer to this version of him as “Nijudai,” which is a joke on how “Judai” is a way to refer to teenagers and “Nijudai” is the word for one’s twenties.

Here are the dates and locations of the Gee stores you can see the pop-up shop at:

• January 25 to February 2: Akihabara (Entas)
• February 8 to February 16: Osaka
• February 22 to March 2: Kokura
• March 8 to March 16: Nagoya
• March 20 to March 30: Sendai

Merchandise includes the usual acrylic stands, pins, T-shirts, and tote bags. You can also purchase stickers for your smartphone, or a giant black-out sticker that you can stick to your windows to block out sunlight. There are three variations of T-shirts to get, with two of them based off Judai and one of them based of Ryo. Prices range between 605 and 3300 JPY.

The Yu-Gi-Oh GX pop-up store will open its first location from January 25, 2025, and you can check out more information on it via the official website. A remastered version of the anime will start airing in April 2025.

A remastered version of the Yu-Gi-Oh GX anime will start airing in April 2025. This is to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the show.

The original show lasted for three years, which means that the remastered version of Yu-Gi-Oh GX should end in 2028. It’s unknown if the studio plans to release a remastered version of Yu-Gi-Oh 5D’s after that. KENN commented that he’s been able to spend half his life playing Judai thanks to everyone’s , and the more experience he gains as an actor, the more he realizes how amazing the staff and cast were at the time.

Studio Gallop has released the cast for Judai, Asuka, Sho, Manjoume, and Ed. All of these characters will retain their original Japanese voice actors. This includes Taiki Matsuno, who voiced Manjoume. Matsuno ed away in July 2024.

Yu-Gi-Oh GX is the direct sequel to the original Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters. It follows Judai Yuki, a new student at the Duel Academia, which Kaiba from the first show founded. The story starts with Judai’s adventures at the school, interspersed with the occasional villain attack or magical threat. However, the show has a tonal shift in its final season.

The anime adaptation of Me & Roboco will appear on Netflix starting on May 1, 2023. As of the time of writing, there are already six episodes, since the show started airing in December 2022. Me & Roboco is sci-fi comedy about the misadventures of robot maid Roboco and ten-year-old everyman Bondo Taira. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

The general plot of Me & Roboco follows average boy Bondo and his robot maid Roboco. She is very clumsy, buff, and powerful, and generally makes Bondo’s life weirder and more chaotic. Me & Roboco is like a combination between Amelia Bedelia and Doraemon. It’s actually like a parody or modern homage of Doraemon, since all of the main characters take physical cues from the cast. Gachi Gorilla and Motsuo Kaneo are essentially much nicer versions of Gian and Suneo, for example. The series also makes lots of references and parodies to other works.

The anime is airing on TV Tokyo in Japan and the manga has been running in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2020. Viz Media has licensed it in English. It is very popular in its native Japan. Over a million copies of the manga are in circulation as of 2023. As well, in 2022, it was #11 on a list of manga series recommended by bookstore employees around Japan.

Me & Roboco will start airing on Netflix from May 1, 2023.
