Tenshabi revealed the Tokyu Fortnite Project, where it produces an accurate map of Shibuya using the same game. The company works on the project together with Tokyu Corporation, and they also plan to regularly update it by adding more features like mini-games and synchronizing with any real-life building updates.

The map will primarily cover the area in front of the Shibuya Station. People will be able to use Fortnite avatars to explore the virtual representation of the real-world area. Tenshabi and Tokyu also project the map to be utilized in educational use cases, including disaster evacuation simulations.

In addition, Tenshabi mentioned that it will also expand the project worldwide to let prospective foreign tourists experience the accurate Shibuya map. However, it added a disclaimer that it runs the project entirely on its own without any sponsorship or from Epic Games.

Tenshabi has also published an official trailer for the Tokyu Fortnite Project's Shibuya map on its YouTube channel:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MuXcn_2VSY

The original Fortnite is a battle royale shooting game available worldwide on Windows PC, macOS, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, Android, and iOS. Epic Games will also release a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of the game on the same day the new console launches on June 5, 2025.

Tenshabi and Tokyu will showcase the Tokyu Fortnite Project's in-game Shibuya map with a playable tag game build at the SusHi (Sustainable High City) Tech Tokyo 2025 event, which will take place at Tokyo Big Sight on May 8-10, 2025.

Epic Games unveiled a crossover event with Cowboy Bebop for Fortnite's latest season, Chapter 6 Season 2: Lawless. The collaboration will include Cowboy Bebop-themed Quests with free cosmetic rewards, as well as Spike and Faye skins based on the anime in the Item Shop.

Spike Spiegel and Faye Valentine will be available to purchase with V-Bucks in the Item Shop at 4pm PT/7pm ET on February 28, 2025. Both skins implement cel-shading to mimic their appearance in the anime.

Starting March 1, 2025, players can complete Cowboy Bebop Quests that contribute toward limited-time Bonus Goals. Rewards for these bonus goals include a Cowboy Bebop Wrap and the Bebop Legends Loading Screen shown above. The Cowboy Bebop Quests and free rewards end on March 18, 2025.

Epic Games have yet to reveal the prices for the Cowboy Bebop skins. Based on the prices of previous anime collaborations, such as Dragon Ball Z and Attack on Titan, Spike and Faye will likely cost 1,500 — 2,000 V-Bucks to purchase separately. A bundle at a reduced price is also likely, though unconfirmed.

The Fortnite x Cowboy Bebop collaboration arrives at the perfect time with the launch of Fortnite's new crime-themed season, Lawless.

Players can expect to see Faye and Spike bounty hunt around the Island with Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat and Big Dill, a rapping pickle involved in a feud with T-Pain. They can also jam out with Hatsune Miku during the ongoing Miku-themed Fortnite Festival season.

Fortnite is free to play on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and select mobile devices. Cowboy Bebop is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu in the US.

Halloween is one of the best times of year for in-game events in video games. This spooky time of year leads to some of the most creative and wonderful events and rewards. From minigames to special cosmetics to new quests and content, these are the best Halloween events happening in various games in 2024.

Best 2024 Halloween Events in Games: Fortnitemares 476p4m

The classic and wonderfully named Fortnitemares is back in Fortnite for another spooky season. Available until the end of the current Season 4, there are decorations all throughout the island and numerous quests to complete for rewards like Great Scarecrow Glider. In addition, there are excellent new skins like the Saw series crossover in Billy the Puppet, some Disney villains, Leatherface, and more.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure Spooky Celebration 445s17

Hello Kitty Island Adventure has one of the most adorable Halloween in-game events this year. There are plenty of decorations like ghosts, pumpkins, and more to customize the island with. In addition, there are cutesy outfits for your character to wear as you complete some fun quests.

Haunted by Daylight 3g17s

I always enjoy when a Halloween event goes beyond some decorations here and there, some skins, and some quests. Fortunately, Dead by Daylight does just that with the Haunted by Daylight event. This horror multiplayer game has a new mod that swaps out the one hunter versus four players for two hunters going up against eight players in ridiculous chaos.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Halloween Quests 5b4f48

New Halloween quests are available in Disney Dreamlight Valley for a limited time. These involve fun autumn activities like finding candy, planting pumpkins, and more. The quests reward players with some fantastic additions, too, like the Mickey Mouse-themed pumpkin.

Diablo IV Meat or Treat 6x3225

Diablo IV begins its own spooky event on October 29, 2024. Every day for four days in total, there will be a new item for players to get ranging from mount trophies to mount armor and more. There is also a new Meat or Treat event that will happen in dungeons where shrines will have new surprising effects to either trick or treat players.

Let us know what your favorite Halloween themed in-game events are below!

Lego Fortnite takes the original skins from battle royale and smushes them into adorable, block-shaped caricatures of themselves. Unfortunately, not every battle royale skin has a Lego version yet (poor Deku). Thankfully, there are quite a few already available. Here are the best Lego Fortnite skins, including both original and licensed characters alike.

Best Lego Fortnite Skins: The Mandalorian 2j6w3v

If you’ve read any of my Lego Fortnite coverage here, there is a strong chance you’ve seen me wearing The Mandalorian skin. Besides being super biased about this one, I appreciate the customizable nature of this crossover skin. If you unlocked this skin during Chapter 2, you can swap the different armor sections for Mando. This gives a lot of possible variation for using this skin. Plus, he looks super adorable rather than menacing in Lego form.

Raven 54965

Raven is one of the most iconic skins of all time. This Chapter 1 skin takes a few liberties in its Lego version. I would argue that it opts for a darker color scheme than its usual purple style, but it works. This makes Raven one of the more mysterious and detailed skins in Lego form. I really appreciate the glowing eyes, which stand out well in this survival game.

Spider-Man 44388

There aren’t a ton of crossover skins that have made the switch to Lego Fortnite thus far. This is possibly due to the licensing issues. Spider-Man, thankfully, is one of the few available right now. He is one of the best superheroes for a reason and the Lego skin version looks fantastic. The blue and red suit is sharp and bright, while the spider emblem in the middle is large and noticeable as it should be.

Screenshot by Kirill

Galaxia 2i70t

Galaxia takes on a quite different style in her Lego version. While not quite as magnificent as her original skin, which I would argue is one of the best in all of Fortnite, it still retains some of its signature effects. You can see the sparkly stars across her outfit, plus her colorful hairstyle. Then there are her feet, which shine brightly in a way no other Lego skin does.

Plague 523a72

This is one of the spookier Lego Fortnite skins players can use. It is the prime example of a Lego skin taking the original and making it much better. I would argue the original Plague Doctor is pretty forgettable. But his downsize into blocky form turns out quite well, with the memorable gray hat, detailed overall outfit, and neat accents throughout like the glowing green eyes.

Lego Fortnite is available on Android, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC entirely for free.

Lego Fortnite Sets Prices Range From $15 to $100

Lego released its four Fortnite sets. These range in price from $14.99 to $99.99. While they are Lego Fortnite, they are not based on the in-game mode. Instead, each set allows you to build items and designs based upon the original game. However, the minifigs present in Battle Bus set may be found as playable characters in that mode.

The least expensive set is the $14.99 Durrr Burger. It consists of only 193 pieces. When put together, you create the burger with eyes and a tongue that appears in-game. The Supply Llama is the second most elaborate at $39.99. It involves 691 pieces and allows you to build the pinata llama. It also comes with a number of actual supplies you can build and place inside of it, like a Back Pack, Dynamite, and Slurp Juice.

The two most expensive sets are the Battle Bus and Peely Bone. Both are $100. The Battle Bus involves 954 pieces. You can attach the balloon to the top, and place the nine included minifigs inside. The exact characters you get are Adventure Peely, Battalion Brawler, Brite Bomber, Cube Assassin, Cuddle Team Leader, Drift, Meowscles, Raven, and Treser Elite. The Peely Bone set features the most pieces, at 1,414, and is the only one recommended for ages 18 and up. It lets someone build the Epic Outfit, which features one half Peely and one half skeleton. Once finished, it can be posed and equipped with items like a Banana Bag Back Bling and Peely Pick.

Here’s the full list of all four Lego Fortnite sets that are now available, as well as the prices for each one.

Here’s how all four sets look:

As a reminder, direct purchases from the Lego store include a bonus. If someone spends over $120, they also get a Halloween Pumpkin set. This lets someone build a Jack-o’-lantern and ghost. That is a 254 piece set that is normally $19.99. That promotion is only available until it runs out or available or until October 14, 2024 arrives, whichever comes first.

Lego Fortnite is available in Fortnite now. The four sets are also now available. Fortnite is available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and mobile devices.

Lego Fortnite is gaining a massive new feature for fans of local multiplayer, as official splitscreen is coming soon. The new splitscreen mode option was announced during the PlayStation State of Play event on September 24, 2024.

For now, we know splitscreen will be available for both PS4 and PS5 in the near future. No exact release date has been announced at this time. The feature will allow two players to play on the same console and TV screen in the same world simultaneously. The feature has an intriguing split perspective where it shows each player’s avatar next to their horizontally-centric screen.

Some details are still unknown about the Lego Fortnite splitscreen mode, such as whether or not the second player will be able to use their existing Epic Games . This would allow them to play on the same console as friends or family and still earn levels towards the Battle . Furthermore, it is uncertain if this splitscreen feature will be available for other consoles like Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

In addition to the splitscreen option, there is also a new limited-time Fortnite-themed DualSense controller. Epic Shares How to Watch Disney D23 Showcase in Fortnite

Disney and Epic Games announced that people will be able to watch a portion of the D23 showcase in Fortnite. The part shown will involve reveals related to both Disney properties and the game. It will happen both as it airs on August 10, 2024, as well as be available on demand, and people who turn up will get a Wolverine-themed cosmetic called the Peelverine Plush Back Bling.

There are basically two ways to watch a portion of the presentation while in-game. One is to do so live, as it happens, and the other is to catch up with it later after the fact. Depending on how you plan to tune in, the method to do so will probably change.

If you plan to watch the Disney D23 Showcase in Fortnite live, as it happens, then just open up the game. When you do, there will be a Discover menu icon in the Home Bar for Disney Horizons Live. This will first appear at 7:30pm PT/10:30pm ET on August 10, 2024, with the presentation beginning an hour later. So as long as you get there by 8:30pm PT/11:30pm PT, you’ll be fine.

After it airs, you’ll be able to view the archive on-demand. To do so, your best bet is to enter the Fortnite Island Code 7908-6413-2516. This will take you to the Disney Horizons Live island. That will only be available until August 16, 2024.

Basically, you need to head to Disney Horizons Live to get this new cosmetic for free. Whether you watch it as it airs live or on-demand, you get it for free. The only catch is that you must stay at that island for a minimum of 10 minutes. (To be safe, I’d recommend waiting around there for 15.) If you do that, Epic Games will then send you the Peelverine Plush Back Bling in-game for free in September 2024.

If you miss the D3 2024 event, there will still be a method to get the Peelverine. Epic announced it may also sell it in the Fortnite Shop.

Fortnite is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Disney will air its usual D23 showcase on August 10, 2024.

Mobile Suits from Requiem for Vengeance, the Gundam and the Zaku II, arriving in Fortnit

During San Diego Comic Con 2024, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the new Netflix Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance movie will inspire its own tie-in Fortnite game mode. There’s no release date for it yet, but it will be developed in the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and bring the movie's Universal Century battles to Fortnite.

Developed by the studio Look North World, the developers behind ARK: Survival Evolved and numerous games developed within Fortnite, the new Gundam-themed game mode will be a Team Deathmatch mode. It will be free for all players to access.

In addition, a new trailer for the movie that revealed the October 17, 2024 release date appeared. It showcased the new designs of classic mobile suits, like the Zaku II and the Gundam, as well as gave a sense of the story. You can watch it here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9-TRoEa0jk

This is not the first multiplayer shooter to get a Mobile Suit Gundam crossover. Earlier this 2024, Call of Duty received a Gundam crossover. It resulted in skins based on the RX-78 Gundam, Char's red Zaku II, and the Gundam Aerial from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury. This year also marks the 45th anniversary of the original Mobile Suit Gundam.

Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance will be released on Netflix on October 17, 2024. The Fortnite game mode by Look North World will be releasing shortly after the film on the PC, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and mobile devices.

The Cybertruck Is Coming to Fortnite and I Don’t Like It

I got the biggest laugh this morning. The Fortnite social media shared a teaser for the debut of the Tesla Cybertruck in-game, and it showed Fishstick driving it and pulling a bus, truck, and tank. I find it funny, given the fact that we’ve seen video proof of it not being able to do things other trucks can like climb Hollister Hills State Vehicle Recreation Area steps, its bulletproof windows crack, and lots of other noticeable failures tied to it. Raccoons are mistaking Cybertrucks for dumpsters. Humorous initial reaction aside, I don’t like it, and I think at least some of my reasons are valid.

First, I’m just generally not a fan of these types of real-world elements coming into games. I’m not a fan of this type of marketing approaches. (I hated the Mercedes-Benz car in Mario Kart too!) Of course, Epic already goes all-in on in-game advertising. We’ve seen them promote influencers, the NBA and NFL, movies, singers, Nerf toys, Nike shoes, Fender guitars, and other car companies like Lamborgini before. However, when it comes to the Tesla Cybertruck in Fortnite, it somehow seems especially egregious. Perhaps it is the fact that the teaser trailer for the truck involves such an extreme and glorifying portrayal, which is contradictory to some real-world footage we’ve seen, that repulses me and makes me even more against the crossover.

Another reason I'm not keen on the Fortnite Cybertruck crossover is because it might be paid content. Early leaks for it suggested it would be a skin someone would need to buy with V-Bucks in the Item Shop. And while this isn't confirmed, if it this does end up being the case, I just don't like it! When comes to something that is such a blatant in-game ad, it should at least be free content that we’re not paying companies for the right to use. (Like I didn’t care for that aforementioned Mario Kart Benz, but at least I didn’t need to pay to put a character into it.) With other companies, like say Ubisoft or Square Enix, we aren’t seeing them charge people for the honor of getting to see or use their in-game ads for things like Black Friday sales or KFC.

https://twitter.com/RocketLeague/status/1815386430710874530

But the blatant advertising for Tesla aside, I also don’t like the Cybertruck Fortnite crossover because it just doesn’t look good. The Fortnite teaser itself doesn’t make it as obvious. The trailer only offers a brief glimpse of the new vehicle. However, the Rocket League teaser for the Cybertruck shows that it just doesn’t look good in-game. Especially since we know how detailed and incredible car models can look in Rocket League. The polygonal approach doesn’t fit in with other vehicles in the game. Many people referred to it in the reveal as the “hitbox car,” and I agree. And considering that too could be a paid product, it’s disheartening.

The only thing I feel like the Cybertruck Fortnite crossover would be good for is the memes. People are going to 100% take advantage of this as an opportunity to dunk on the truck and Musk. Frankly, I’ll be here for that element of it. I’m just disappointed that it might also mean some people potentially wasting money on a bad skin or Rocket League car for that to happen. Not to mention it, well, giving positive of any kind to what I feel like is the ugliest and most unnecessary vehicle ever.

I think the Cybertruck is a bad car and don’t like it, but that’s only part of why I don’t like the Fortnite crossover involving it. It’s even more egregious in-game advertising coming to a game packed with it. It might end up being a thing people need to pay for the honor to use. Plus, it seems like it might end up looking as bad in-game as it does in real life.

Fortnite is available on the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices.

Fallout and Fortnite Tease Chapter 5 Season 3 Wrecked

Epic Games is teasing a surprising, timely crossover seemingly coming to Fortnite Battle Royale in the near future. It looks like the two massive franchises Fortnite and Fallout will be coming together for an event, though there is no release window or date for the crossover just yet.

The Fortnite and Fallout tease began with a short tweet from Epic Games with an image. The image appears to showcase one of the Brotherhood of Steel from the Fallout series, but in the Fortnite style. This looks to be hinting at a likely skin players will be able to get in the near future.

In addition to that, the image showcases a factory-like location of some kind underneath the Brotherhood of Steel member. This spot could be a brand new location in the Chapter 5 Season 3 Wrecked. As a result, it is possible this post-apocalyptic-themed season will feature a massive crossover with Fallout.

Here is the official teaser. It also features emojis that recreate the Vault Boy expression of a person winking while giving a thumbs-up sign.

https://twitter.com/fortnitegame/status/1791499072789979575?s=61&t=9YBio6l0V75AlnyR8nX7jQ

This possible Fortnite and Fallout crossover season could feature Wasteland-themed locations from the Bethesda series, plus a Brotherhood of Steel skin possibly in the new Battle . This timing makes a lot of sense, too, with the recent Fallout Prime Video TV series. Fortunately, it won’t take long for players to find out if this is the case, since the new season is coming out in the near future.

Fans can look forward to the release of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Wrecked on May 24, 2024. Fortnite and Fallout fans alike should wait until then for more info on how this teased crossover event will work.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is coming to Android, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Epic Games announced that Star Wars content is coming to all Fortnite modes, including Lego Fortnite. The update will apparently arrive on May 3, 2024.

Star Wars cosmetics already appeared in the game prior to this announcement. For example, people could get cosmetics and equipment based on characters like Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader, Pe Amidala, the Mandalorian, Ahsoka Tano, and Storm or Clone Troopers.

The last major crossover involved the Avatar series. Characters like Aang, Zuko, and Korra showed up in the main mode of the game.

Another Lego Star Wars announcement is coming in May 2024 too. To celebrate May the Fourth, there will be a TIE Interceptor kit released on May 4, 2024. It will cost $229.99.

Kumamon Island Custom Map Heading to Fortnite

Kumamoto Prefecture announced the release of the custom Kumamon Island map for Fortnite. The map is a business simulation game that will appear in Fortnite on January 31, 2024. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The Kumamon Island game map was developed using Fortnite’s Creative Mode tools by the Kumamoto Prefectural government in collaboration with ment company CyberAgent. The map was revealed during a Kumamoto Fortnite Press Conference to promote Kumamoto Prefecture. The custom map will take approximately 40 to 60 minutes to complete.

Kumamon Island is designed to have gameplay similar to that of Tycoon-style games. The setup for the game involves helping various Kumamon in developing a Kumamon robot to promote Kumamoto to the rest of the world, and helping them solve the problems that arise through the robot’s construction. Several of Kumamoto’s tourist landmarks and local products will appear as part of the map, and players will have to build Kumamoto Castle as one of the steps to finish the production of the robot.

You can check out some screenshots from Kumamon Island here:

The decision to make this map is the response of the Kumamoto Prefectural office wanting to promote the burgeoning local semiconductor industry through the Metaverse. An official website explaining more about Kumamon Island and the real-life elements present in the game is also expected to open soon.

Kumamon Island is the first Fortnite map created by an official Japanese governmental office. However, in the Japanese entertainment industry, Hololive Vtuber Mori Calliope received a Fortnite custom map intended to promote the Vtuber’s MoriZakura cherry blossom liqueur.

Fortnite is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. The map code for Kumamon Island will appear on January 31, 2024, at 10 am JST.

Building in Lego Fortnite Can Feel Restrictive 22u45 https://siliconera.voiranime.info/building-in-lego-fortnite-can-feel-restrictive/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=building-in-lego-fortnite-can-feel-restrictive https://siliconera.voiranime.info/building-in-lego-fortnite-can-feel-restrictive/#respond <![CDATA[Elliot Gostick]]> Sat, 16 Dec 2023 14:00:00 +0000 <![CDATA[News]]> <![CDATA[Nintendo Switch]]> <![CDATA[PC]]> <![CDATA[PlayStation 4]]> <![CDATA[PlayStation 5]]> <![CDATA[Xbox One]]> <![CDATA[Xbox Series X]]> <![CDATA[Epic Games]]> <![CDATA[Europe]]> <![CDATA[Fortnite]]> <![CDATA[Japan]]> <![CDATA[LEGO Fortnite]]> <![CDATA[North America]]> <![CDATA[Playtests]]> https://siliconera.voiranime.info/?p=1001652 <![CDATA[

Lego Fortnite Building

As well as having reached a concurrent player count of over two million and being a major argument for Fortnite as a media platform, Lego Fortnite also returns to the game's roots as a building game with survival elements. But despite the game's explosive success and charming appearance, there are a few issues with that mar its accessibility focused appeal.

Like its peers Valheim, Ark, The Forest, etc., building is a major part of Lego Fortnite, and to be fair to the game its 'Builds' system serves as a pretty great tutorial. Simply gather your materials, place down a schematic for your building design of choice and snap the components into place. But as useful as it is, many players will want to move on from these ready-made blueprints to deg their own structures and towers, and unfortunately that's where Lego Fortnite falls into a bit of a snare.

See, in say Minecraft nearly everything fitting into that same size of block means most objects are functionally 1x1. You have doors and other things that might be 2x1 or even 3x1 but generally most things work on that framework and it's simple enough you barely have to think about it.

But in Lego Fortnite, you're working with several different dimensions, for example your average wall being 2 Lego studs wide, 16 long, and 12 high. That means all of a sudden you've going to have to be paying attention to these individual little studs because if you get it wrong your house's roof isn't going to meet in the middle. And because everything is in these set dimensions, you can't always just fill it in with smaller roofing pieces because you're stuck working with the sizes given to you. You can't fill a 1x4 gap with only 2x4 blocks, to say nothing of the way many particular dimensions are weirdly progress-gated in Survival mode. Sometimes you'll unlock a new piece of a particular style, only for the half-sized version to be locked behind several more village upgrades.

To top it off are a number of other small annoyances. Once placed down, your structures and equipment must be broken down again if you decide they'd be better situated elsewhere. While you get all the resources back, breaking them requires slowly punching them or using durability from tools that could have been spent gathering new resources. Not to mention, if you were trying to fill in some gap with smaller pieces, you'd have to punch each tiny piece several times individually to clear them up.

So what could Epic do to solve these problems? Well, making placed items easier to break is just as likely to result in accidentally damaging your builds, but a dedicated dismantling tool would work, especially with a wide-range option. Then, a way to measure out lengths would go a long way, since counting Minecraft blocks is a fair bit easier than tiny Lego studs. The dimensions thing is a little trickier, you could simply add more variations, but that would lead to bloat of an already large catalogue and there'll always be some minor style missing. A way to create custom sized pieces or simply click-and-drag to fill a selected space would work, but I've no idea on the implementation feasability. It may just be something that players have to learn to live with, but it's an unfortunate design oversight that goes against the game's greatest strengths: accessibility and simplicity.

Lego Fortnite is available now for the PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
