We have a trifecta of mecha titles releasing in Japan this week, between the PS4 Virtual-on ports, the latest Gundam strategy game SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays, and the RTS-style 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. While the Virtual-on games are as they were with added online functionality, online team battles, and online tournaments, the other are two entirely new titles.

SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays builds off the base of the orevious game, Genesis, but trades the UC focus for focus on the alternate timelines based on Gundam SEED, Gundam 00, Iron-Blooded Orphans, and Gundam Wing. Additionally, there are some new features such as the Raid Unit formation that has units moving around separately without a battleship to act as .

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is Vanillaware's latest game, focusing on thirteen different protagonists who become able to pilot the mysterious iron giants, the Sentinels. They have to figure out just what's going on, as something has caused the timeline to go out of wack. It's a story-based game which RTS-style battle scenes.

In non-mecha related business, the DanMachi dungeon crawler is finally coming out after more than a year of delays.

Prototype announced this week that the Flowers, the shoujo ai visual novel made by the same team as Kara no Shoujo, is coming to the Nintendo Switch on November 28, 2019.

The game originally received a compilation port for PlayStation 4 this year, which this port is based off of. The game will be in full HD, and touchscreen is enabled in Handheld mode.

The visual novel is comprised of four arcs, which originally each released individually on PC. Only the first two arcs have been localized into English at the moment.

Flowers is available on PC and PlayStation 4, and is coming to Nintendo Switch on November 28, 2019.

Apart from planetarian, Japanese publisher Prototype announced that Flowers, the shoujo ai visual novel by the Kara no Shoujo developer, is getting a PlayStation 4 release that collects all four “season” arcs into one game.

The game will be in full HD, and have even higher quality voices and music. The game is set to come out sometime in 2019.

Flowers is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2019, and is currently available on PC in four arcs. Flowers has also gotten a localized release back in 2016, which you can read more about here.

JAST USA and developer Innocent Grey have released the localized demo of the shoujo-ai visual novel Flowers -Le volume sur Printemps-. You can it for Windows on Steam.

Flowers follows a shy girl with a mysterious past called Suoh Shirahane as she starts her first year at Saint Angraecum Academy, an all-girls school.

Suoh starts to make friends due to the school’s “Amitiė” partner program and love begins to blossom. She also gets caught up in unravelling the mysteries of the academy in between classes – this includes occult rituals and the mysterious disappearance of students.

The demo lets you experience the middle of chapter two, after Suoh has ed the academy. “Still uncomfortable with the newness of everything, she tries her best to make new friends, but her shyness gets the better of her. That is, until she is faced with a mystery that she alone can solve to help her Amitiė partner,” reads the demo’s description.

Online store J-List now also has the Limited Edition of Flowers up for pre-order at $39.95 to receive a DVD-ROM of the game, a Steam key, two 3.5-inch acrylic figures, and three dual-sided laminated postcards with backgrounds and illustrations from the game. Flowers is expected to come out in March 2016.

JAST USA are localizing Innocent Grey’s Flowers visual novel. As previously reported, Flowers is a mystery game that takes place at an all-girls academy where communication and friendship are forced upon students for a better future.

During all of this, one of the students at the academy disappears, and this is the mystery the game revolves around.

Innocent Grey released Flowers in four parts in Japan. JAST USA will publish the Spring arc this Fall in North America. You can read more about the game here.

The first installment of Flowers by Innocent Grey—makers of the Kara no Shoujo games—will be out in about a month. In the meantime, Innocent Grey have ed a video of one of the illustrations for the game being drawn.

Even sped up five times, the over eight hour illustration (of which we are spared the one and a half hours of painstakingly doing the background alone) still takes up just under an hour anda half of YouTube video footage.

Flowers' story will follow Suoh Shirahane as she’s enrolled in Saint Angraecum Academy, an academy where communication and friendship are forced upon the students for a better future. The Spring chapter of Flowers will release April 18th.

Kara no Shoujo studio Innocent Grey has recently been talking about their game, Flowers, a visual novel story about love and mystery at an all-girls academy. During a Tech Gian magazine interview about the game back in December, Innocent Grey artist Miki Sugina also mentioned the prospect of a third Kara no Shoujo title.

On the subject of “mystery” genre Innocent Grey chose for Flower, Sugina says that unlike past titles, the won’t be about the deaths of characters, but closer to depicting the everyday life of the female students, who will be working together to solve mysteries.

Siliconera previously caught up with Sugina, who talked about not having an interest in making “happy” games, so keep in mind that Flowers might not be as cheerful as it initially sounds.

While Flowers will be released on April 18th in Japan, the game will be split into four seasons, starting with the Spring season release of the game as part 1. The Summer part will be released sometime after summer 2014.

Finally, when asked about the status of Kara no Shoujo 3, Sugina said that Innocent Grey may immediately begin working on the third instalment upon completing the development of all four seasons of Flowers.

Innocent Grey have shared the opening movie for Flowers, their next visual novel. As previously reported, Flowers is an all-ages mystery game that takes place at an academy for girls. You can read more about the game’s story and characters in this report.

Translated literally, the term means "original picture," but just what this position involves differs from company to company.

Innocent Grey, the studio known for making the Kara no Shoujo games, are working on a new visual novel by the name of Flowers. The story is about an anti-social girl who enters an academy where communication and friendship are forced upon the students for a better future.

Here’s an introduction to the game from its official website:

Surrounded by immense walls in the middle of a forest, lies the Saint Angraecum Academy. Suoh Shirahane, a girl with a wounded heart, enrolls in the academy that is teeming with young beauties.

 

Due to certain reasons, this young girl has always remained indoors, and has never been touched by anyone outside of her family. She’s not the most social person, but her new school’s experiment, called “Amity,” will require her to make friends with others, as the program’s goal is to optimize the ability of communication.

 

The “friends” provided by the academy, and a faint feeling of love towards them. In the midst of a quiet academy life, the strange disappearance of an academy student occurs...

 

What will the young girls see in the academy? What will they find there?

Before you start imagining dismembered limbs and gore, one should point out that Flowers is an all-ages game. It looks like a change of pace for Innocent Grey, but given the studio’s portfolio, there’s probably more to see here than meets the eye, especially since the game is described as a mystery title.

Suoh Shirahane:

Suoh is a timid girl who doesn’t talk much, and she can be a little bit of a worrywart at times. Prior to enrolling in the academy, she lived with her grandfather, where she was homeschooled, so she never had much of an opportunity to interact with others.

It’s not that she doesn’t like people, as she, more than anyone, would love to make friends. However, her shy nature gets the best of her and she can get a little too nervous when approaching others.

Her best friends were books and movies, so she has a habit of reciting quotes from films and novels in the middle of conversations. Her “Amity” partners are Mayuri and Rikka.

Mayuri Kousaka:

Mayuri is a forward-looking girl with an optimistic personality. She is loved by everyone around her in class because of her bright personality. She’s a hard worker, and whenever she sets her mind to something, she does a great job at it.

She decided to enroll in the academy of her own will, due to a certain problem she had. While she is quite the sociable girl, she’s careful not to let her problems be seen by others, even her Amity friends.

Rikka Hanabishi:

Rikka is a calm and earnest young girl who likes to take care of those around her. She is considered the mother-like figure of the class, not only because she’s kind and gentle, because she’s also strict when needed. Mayuri is the central figure of the class, but Rikka is at the same level in of respect and influence.

Rikka got the top place in the university’s entrance exams, and thanks to her personality and how she actively helps her classmates, she has been designated as the class chairwoman. She prides herself in being a reliable person with high expectations, and works hard to continue taking the initiative.

Flowers will be released for PC on April 18th in Japan.
