The NieR Replicant version of Kaine will once again appear as a figure, and this time Flare is the company behind it. Square Enix shared an image alongside an announcement. As it is still so early in development, there isn’t even a prototype yet. Instead, only the model images showed up on social media.

Since things are so early in development, we can’t see an accurate real-world example of the NieR Replicant Kaine figure. The models shared are all in greyscale as well. However, the pose is quite telling. It shows the character’s iconic one in which she’s leaning over and resting on her swords. She also has the Lunar Tear Nier gave her in her hair. This suggests it is designed to represent her Act II appearance.

It’s been quite a while since we heard about new NieR Replicant merchandise, but now we have two updates in quick succession. Prior to this, one of the last figures revealed was the Play Arts Kai version of Kaine. That launched in 2023. More recently, Good Smile Company confirmed it would rerelease the Brother Nier Nendoroid in September 2025. That first debuted in 2021.

The NieR Replicant Kaine figure by Flare is in development, and that ver.1.22474487139 release of the game is available on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

A new version of the Rei Ayanami Flare figure from Evangelion will appear for the first time in 17 years. The new figure costs 22,880 yen (or approximately $160.43) and will go on sale at the official Evangelion online store on September 26, 2024 .

The figure is scheduled to release in Japan sometime in August 2025. The rerelease of the figure by Flare will be a collaboration between illustrator Shunya Yamashita and sculptor Mitsumasa Yoshizawa. The duo worked together for the figure after deg the illustration and original garage kit back in 2007.

The figure depicts Rei Ayanami in a revealing dress version of her plugsuit. Her right eye is covered in bandages, just as it is during certain points in the anime. She is striking a dynamic pose, with both her arms raised and her hands crossed above her head.

As a reminder, Sen-Ti-Nel announced a new Evangelion figure of the Eva Unit-01 that turns the mech into a warrior clad in samurai armor. Pre-orders for the figure closed back on September 17, 2024.

The new Evangelion figure of Rei Ayanami by Flare costs 22,880 yen (~$160.43) and will release in Japan on August 2025. The figure will go on sale from September 26, 2024.

Square Enix is selling a new statuette based on NieR: Automata character A2. The figure prototype was designed by sculptor Mitsumasa Yoshiwaza (a.k.a. Reflect). It's available for pre-order on Square Enix's Japanese e-Store and s a previously announced 2B figure in the lineup. Both are manufactured by figure maker Flare.

While the 2B figure has a single configuration, the Flare NieR: Automata A2 figure comes in two distinct variants: Standard and Short Hair. Both figures stand 280mm (about 11" inches) tall.

The standard configuration displays Yorha Type A No. 2 as she first appears in the story. She wears a heat-dispersing camisole and sports a head of long, back-length silver hair. She also comes with a Type-4O Sword to hold in her hand. Interestingly, though A2 wields the Type-4O sword in NieR: Automata game cutscenes, actually getting it for play can only be done in 2B's story routes.

The Short Hair variant of the Flare NieR: Automata A2 figure shows A2 as she appears in other story routes, with her hair in a bob cut. She's also shed her camisole to reveal more of the lining on her torso. The Short Hair variant also wields a different weapon: A unique gold-accented variant of the Cruel Arrogance spear weapon.

Both variants are sold separately for 21,780 Yen each (about $162 USD), but a DX (deluxe) edition of the NieR: Automata A2 figure is available for 38,280 Yen (about $285 USD). The DX edition includes weapons and parts from both variants. This way, buyers can change the pose, hairstyle, and clothing of A2 to suit their tastes.

The Flare NieR: Automata A2 figure is available for pre-order, with an expected delivery date of May 27, 2023. Fans looking for a short-hair A2 at a lower price point may consider Good Smile Company's short hair A2 Nendoroid. NieR: Automata itself is available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.

Flare announced two Odin Sphere Leifthrasir figures, with one being a rerun of Gwendolyn and the other a new model based on Oswald. Gwendolyn will return first in April 2022. Oswald will follow in May 2022. Gwendolyn will cost 17,050円 (~$155), while Oswald will be 19,580円 (~$179). [Thanks, Dengeki Hobby Web!]

Both the Gwendolyn and Oswald Odin Sphere Leifthrasir figures are non-scale, static characters. Each of them has notable accessories with them. He will be about ten inches tall, while she’ll be just over nine and a half inches.

In the case of Gwendolyn, she’s wearing the dress she married after marrying Oswald. She has the Ring Titrel on her finger. An optional part allows her to have one of the blue birds approach her. One of her skirts can also be removed, so she can be displayed with the hoop skirt shown. This figure originally appeared in Japan back in January 2019.

As for Oswald, he’s in his standard Shadow Knight armor. He’s wielding Belderiver, his signature weapon.

These are two of many Flare Odin Sphere figures. For example, it has a Maury’s Catering Service line that pairs the chef with figures of Gwendolyn, Mercedes, and Velvet.

The Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Gwendolyn and Oswald figures will appear in Japan in April 2022 and May 2022, respectively. Odin Sphere is available on the PS2 worldwide, while Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is available on the PS3, PS4, and Vita.

The PlayStation 2 classic Odin Sphere is known for a lot of things, like being one of the most notable of developer Vanillaware's early releases and championing a lavish, singularly stylish 2D aesthetic. It's also known for delicious food, and now you too can bring that energy into the physical realm with a new set of figures from Flare. The sets depict a feature from Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, the PS4 and Vita enhanced remasters of the original games. The figure sets are up for preorder, according to an announcement on Twitter, with an expected delivery window of February 2021:

The full figure sets comes in three varieties, each with a different Odin Sphere character as a customer. The characters are the game's female leads: The swan-winged Valkyrie Gwendolyn, the fairy princess Mercedes, and the mysterious witch Velvet. All three options include Maury, the Pooka chef, and his Traveling Restaurant, an interdimensional eatery that can be summoned by ringing a special bell. When summoned in Odin Sphere, Maury cooks dishes that can convey all manner of stat boosts and beneficial combat effects. The Traveling Restaurant set also includes a table, stool, cooking tools, Maury's backpack and bell, and various dishes modeled after their in-game artwork. The dishes include Egg on Toast, Napple Sorbet, Herb-Roasted Shrimp, Lamb Steak, Cream Stew, Vichyssoise, an Omelet, Pancakes, and a Ginger Biscuit. There are even ingredient items, like a Jug of Milk, a Lobster, and a selection of Odin Sphere's walking Mandragora creatures: The Onionne, Carroteer, Cubsbane, Turny, and Habaneristo.

Unfortunately for wallets everywhere, the full set of Flare's Odin Sphere figures won't come cheap. The asking price is 26,000 yen (about $250). Thankfully for more cash-strapped fans, the individua Gwendolyn, Mercedes, and Velvet figures (and their chairs) will also be sold individually for 7,000 yen (about $67) each. Someone looking to get everything on offer could theoretically order a single full set, and then buy the remaining two characters separately, so as not to wind up with duplicate kitchen sets. Then the three Odin Sphere girls could have a nice meal together at the ultimate pop-up dining experience.

Flare's Odin Sphere Maury figures are available to pre-order from the official website and at retail locations in Japan until December 23, 2020. Their expected delivery date should fall in February 2021. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is immediately available on the PS4 and Vita and includes a playable version of the original version of Odin Sphere as part of the package.
