Behaviour Interactive announced that characters from Five Nights at Freddy’s will Dead by Daylight for a crossover in Summer 2025. The reveal appeared on social media with logos from both titles.

The announcement didn’t include any details about the potential crossover characters from Five Nights at Freddy’s heading to Dead by Daylight. However, these sorts of events often involve a number of elements from the source material. For example, when the Silent Hill Chapter appeared, it added the Midwich Elementary School map, The Executioner Killer based on Pyramid Head, and the Cheryl Mason survivor based on the Silent Hill 3 heroine.

2025 will be a big year for Five Nights at Freddy’s. Blumhouse confirmed that the second movie based on the series will also appear that year. It announced that sequel will arrive in Fall 2025 on social media.

As for Dead by Daylight itself, we already have a roap for some elements of the game for 2024. Behaviour confirmed it will make QOL changes at Midwich Elementary School and adjust The Doctor, The Dredge, and The Nemesis Killers in August 2024. In September and October 2024, people will see The Hillbilly, The Skull Merchant, The Twins, and The Unknown adjustments.

Dead by Daylight is out now for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PC, and mobile devices, and Five Nights at Freddy’s will be added to the game in Summer 2025.

At WonHobby 38, Good Smile Company showed off a Five Nights at Freddy’s figure, highlighting its work on a Freddy Fazbear Nendoroid. It is rather far along in development, as it appeared as a painted prototype at the event.

This latest look only offered an initial example of what to expect from this take on Freddy. He’s wearing a black top hat and bow tie for the figure. The animatronic is also holding a black and silver microphone. As only the one face plate appeared in the example photo, it is unknown if it could come with any jumpscare face plates or accessories.

As a reminder, a new entry in the series in on the way. Mega Cat Studios is working on Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit, which is expected to appear on PCs in 2024. At the end of 2023, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 appeared for VR headsets on PC and PSVR 2 in 2023 as well, with a Meta Quest version arriving in 2024. The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie is streaming on Peacock. 

There’s no release window for the Five Nights at Freddy’s Freddy Fazbear Nendoroid yet, though since the figure appeared as a painted prototype it is possible that pre-orders could open in the next few weeks.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location, which had been mentioned on developer Scott Cawthon’s site a short while ago, now has a new trailer to show off its shiny new animatronic and its Fall release date.

The trailer shows the animatronics in clean condition, showing several close-up as the words “Deep below he ground where memories sleep anger is restless and secrets don’t keep.” appear. It ends with a female voice saying “You don’t know what we’ve been through.”

McFarlane Toys is looking to bring tiny versions of Bonnie, Chica, and Freddy Fazbear into your home in August 2016 with a series of Five Nights at Freddy’s playsets. (thanks Comic Book Resources)

The first announced set, the stage area, is a WalMart exclusive, coming with the three figures shown above (although their designs are not final) along with party balloons, an arcade cabinet, and other items to decorate the set.

The 3 inch, 314 piece construction set is projected to retail for $29.99. Further sets will be released which can be paired with the stage area set, eventually completing the camera map from the game.

Scott Cawthon has teased a Five Nights At Freddy’s novelization on his website and it’s due to arrive on December 22nd 2015.

A new image (pictured above) appeared on Scott’s website that shows Freddy Fazbear and the text “Five Nights At Freddy’s”, “The Untold Story,” and “12/22/15.”

The name of the image file is “FNaF_TheNovel.jpg” implying that this untold story will be coming at us in the form of a novel.

More information was gleaned from the original version of this image – which said “Coming Soon” rather than giving a date – as the source code said “Coming soon to Amazon Kindle,” meaning that it’ll be an ebook rather than a physical one.

The live-action Five Nights At Freddy’s movie now has a director (thanks Deadline). It’s Gil Kenan, who is the director of Monster House, City of Ember, and this year’s Poltergeist remake.

It’s said that Kenan will be writing the script to the film along with Tyler Burton Smith, who wrote and acted in Sleeping Dogs and Prototype 2 (yes, the games). As was previously announced, Warner Bros. has obtained the rights to create and distribute the film from Scott Cawthon.

Speaking of which, Cawthon recently addressed his fans and haters in a post on the Steam Community forums titled “Make a Difference.” He thanks his ive fan base but also calls those who hate on his success “misguided.”

“Did you know that last year I was working at Dollar General? I worked as a cashier. I had three bosses who were all still in high school. Before that I worked at Target in the backroom freezer, unloading frozen foods. I haven’t had a successful life; and now that God has blessed me with some success, I’m doing my best to be responsible with that success,” writes Cawthon.

He also says that those who have decided to make it part of their life to hate on people are not actually changing anything, as much as they may like to think they are. Instead, Cawthon says, if you want to make a difference you should be positive and create and work hard – “Focus on your success, and your story.”

Cawthon is certainly in a position to give advice like this given that in the past year has released four highly successful games and now has a Hollywood movie being produced based upon them.

Warner Bros. has obtained the rights to create and distribute a movie adaptation of the highly popular indie horror game Five Nights At Freddy’s (via HollywoodReporter).

It’s currently being put out to writers so it’s in the earliest stage possible at the moment. However, Seth Grahame-Smith of KatzSmith Productions, one of the producers, says that he’s “looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie.”

The Scott being referred to there is, of course, Scott Cawthon, the creator of Five Nights At Freddy’s. He said that the "story really lends itself to being a movie and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to."

What’s remarkable about Five Nights At Freddy’s success is that the first game came out in August 2014. Since then there have been two more to make a trilogy. And now, in less than a year, it’s got the greenlight to become a Hollywood movie. That’s impressive, especially when you consider it’s the work of one guy.
