After Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail launched, a new Arcadion 8-player raid series started, with two of the AAC Light-heavyweight bosses being Sweet Poison: Honey B Lovely and Vile Heat: Brute Bomber, and now we have official concept art for each of them via FFXIV Online Official Blog. PR team member Miyamiya also teased that AAC Cruiserweight concept art could be shared as well.

Editor’s Note: There will be spoilers for the FFXIV Dawntrail AAC Light-heavyweight M2 Honey B Lovely and M3 Brute Bomber fights below. t2p48

For those unfamiliar, the FFXIV Dawntrail AAC Light-heavyweight Arcadion raid series is treated as championship fights at Solution Nine. Each of the bosses we face are people who use souls from different types of monsters. This alters their appearances and allows them to gain access to abilities during fights. In the case of Honey B Lovely, she uses a Queen Bee when she fights in FFXIV, while Brute Bomber taps into a Bomb King’s abilities.

In the case of the FFXIV concept art for each, we only see these transformed versions of the characters. Color art of both Brute Bomber and Honey B Lovely appear showing the full version of the design that inspired the in-game model. There are also more monochromatic images to highlight specific details or show elements and accents from the monsters implemented in the characters.

Here are both pieces of concept art:

While the AAC Light-heavyweight fights appeared in FFXIV Dawntrail in July 2024, the AAC Cruiserweight ones didn’t launch until March 2025. They appeared after 7.2 and introduced four new competitors.

Final Fantasy XIV and its Dawntrail expansion are available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

FFXIV Outrunner Plush Keychains Head to Japanese Arcades

Taito announced another new type of Final Fantasy XIV merchandise, this time being a collection of four Outrunner plush keychains based on the FFXIV Dawntrail enemy and mount. These will debut around the second half of May 2025. The only store that ships worldwide and offers a listing for them so far is Aitai Kuji, which is selling them for ¥2,500 (~$17) each.

By default, an Outrunner in FFXIV Dawntrail is a machine with a purple face that has two white eyes in it. However, that expression can change during fights or play, as seen during the applicable Hunt or mount. The three other options act as a nod to those different looks, with one being angry, another confused, and one knocked out. Each one is just under three inches tall (7cm) and has a ball-chain keychain cord attached.

Here’s the official photo showing how they will look:

This is the second recent piece of Final Fantasy XIV merchandise Taito announced, with the last one being a FFXIV world map rug. That showed up in Japan in April 2025

The Final Fantasy XIV Outrunner plush from Taito will appear in Japanese arcades at the end of May 2025, and FFXIV and its Dawntrail expansion are available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices.

Final Fantasy XIV World Map Rug Is a New Taito Prize

People in Japan will be able to bring the Final Fantasy XIV world map home by heading to Japanese arcades. Taito announced its latest prize based on the series. It is a FFXIV World Map Rug Mat. People will only be able to get it as an arcade prize starting on April 26, 2025, and the official site updated to show real-world locations and online crane games that will offer it. So far the only store that ships online that offers it is Aitai Kuji, which is selling it for ¥4,700 (~$33).

This isn’t a terribly large rug, which is probably why it is also described as a mat. It is 70cm (~28 inches). There will only be one style, which depicts the continents and regions in color. Some areas are obscured, just like the in-game map.

Here’s a closer look at the rug, and the photo also included some shoes nearby to offer a sense of scale.

We’ve actually seen some Final Fantasy XIV merchandise tied to the world map before, and Square Enix even sold it in the FFXIV section of its official storefront. Years ago in 2021, it shared a storage box with the map at the time.

Taito frequently releases Final Fantasy XIV merchandise for arcades. One of the more recent additions were Materia keychains. Those debuted in Japan in March 2025. Prior to that, you could get a Pictomancer-themed brush and drawing pad.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the FFXIV World Map rug will show up in arcades in Japan on April 26, 2025.

FFXIV Cosmic Exploration Begins With Patch 7.21 Launch

Cosmic Exploration now lets Final Fantasy XIV players head to Source’s Moon, as the FFXIV Dawntrail patch 7.21 debut added the new feature, its sidequests, and new activities and rewards for helping to develop Sinus Ardorum. As long as you’re currently on your home world and not traveling to another one on the Data Center in the MMORPG, you can go through Stellar Missions, help the Lunar Development Initiative, get Disciples of the Hand and Land tools, and get new equipment, dyes, a mech mount, and a robot minion. All this first came up in the 7.2 Letter from the Producer Live before its debut, and the official patch notes are live.

To start, Square Enix noted we can only get to the Sinus Ardorum base camp on the moon once we finish the main scenario quest “Endwalker” and start the new side story quests. Drivingway in Mare Lamentorum (X:21.9 Y:13.2) will let you go between the planet and moon. When you land, you can pull up your new Exotablet tool to contribute to the Lunar Development Initiative with Stellar Missions. These involve gathering materials to develop facilities and your camp. So one mission the company highlighted is a Northwestern Vicinity Survey that involved gathering 25 items from select gathering points in three minutes. You’ll then get a star score based on it. Items you get will be put in your Cosmopouch, and you can then use your Cosmic Crafting Log to make new items. Some of these tasks could be sequential or be limited by the time of day, if there’s a red alert, or a certain type of weather is happening.

The patch notes also went over some other unique experiences that come from heading to the moon. There will be Mech Ops, which allow us to either be ground for a pilot or a mech pilot for a certain Duty. You do need to pay Lunar Credits for a Pilot Application, and only five random players will be picked as pilots and not ground . However, if you aren’t picked as a pilot, you get your application fee back and get better odds of being picked next time. We can also FATE to take on a “large-scale project” on the moon. Both of these can involve special rewards and currencies.

Here is how to start all of the Cosmic Exploration sidequests in Final Fantasy XIV, though note that you must be at Disciple of the Hand or Land level 10 and have finished the FFXIV Endwalker MSQ storyline to start.

  • “A Cosmic Homecoming” - Meet Namingway at Old Sharlayan (X:12.6, Y:13.6). (Note that finishing this gives you a Cosmic Prototype Coffer that gives you a cosmic tool for your current class.)
  • “ion, Thy Name is Ardorum” - After finishing “A Cosmic Exploration” and clearing a requisite Cosmic Exploration rank, you’ll be notified that you can speak to Searchingway at Sinus Ardorum (X:20.4, Y:20.0).
  • “A Manager's Patience” - Finish “ion, Thy Name is Ardorum” and continue Cosmic Exploration work until you can meet with Mumukko at Sinus Ardorum (X:21.6, Y:21.1).
  • “A Manager’s Persistence” - After “A Manager’s Patience” is done, return to Mumukko at Sinus Ardorum (X:21.6 Y:21.1).

Here are some new Cosmic Exploration screenshots from Square Enix:

FFXIV Azeyma Attire Outfit and Hairstyle Added to Online Store

Square Enix updated the Final Fantasy XIV Online Store, and it now includes a The Warden’s Attire and Modern Aesthetics item that recreates the outfit and hairstyle worn by the goddess Azeyma in-game. It appeared alongside a Far Eastern Performer’s Attire outfit and

In the case of the Azeyma outfit and hairstyle, the FFXIV The Warden’s Attire and Modern Aesthetics - The Warden items are designed to allow someone to exactly replicate her look. The clothing can be dyed, with Square Enix showing how it looks, as can the hairdo. None of the items are gender-locked. If your avatar is a species with a tail, it won’t appear with the outfit. The Warden’s Attire Coffer costs $18, while the manual is $5. The exact names of all the parts to the outfit set weren’t named yet, but it consists of six pieces. Here’s how that looks:

ffxiv crystal candy

Kohakutou (Japanese crystal candy) based on the crystals from Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) will come out in Japan in August 2025. You can put in your pre-orders through Isetan’s online store, and you’ll have until April 25, 2025 to do so. Worldwide shipping is available. The last time this candy came out was in December 2021, and they sold out on the first day. So if you're in Japan and you're interested in this candy, you should make sure to get it while you can.

The kohakutou will come in a box that has the FFXIV logo on the cover, as well as a little chart of the crystals inside. It costs 3,201 JPY ($21.65). The candy inside resembles crystals that Warriors of Light in the game can collect or mine for. As a note, Moo:D Mark does offer international shipping via WorldShopping. However, the pop-up doesn’t appear on the page for the kohakutou. This is likely because it’s food, which is one of the items that Isetan has shipping restrictions on even within Japan.

This candy is a collaboration with harapeco, which is a candy company in Japan that specializes in kohakutou. Kohakutou, or Japanese crystal candy, is a traditional sweet that you can make with agar agar powder, water, and sugar. It creates crystal shapes with a crunchy exterior and a soft interior. Because of their fragile nature, Isetan warns that you may see some damage such as cracks on the candy, which is a result of shipping. However, it does not accept any exchanges and reassures customers that this kind of damage has no negative effect on the candy’s taste.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and macOS. game events include Hatching-Tide, which will run from April 9-24, 2025.

FFXIV Hatching-tide 2025 Includes an Easter Parasol

Square Enix announced the 2025 iteration of the annual Final Fantasy XIV Hatching-tide Easter event, and this year we can earn a new FFXIV parasol accessory in the MMORPG. The event starts on April 9, 2025. We then have a new quest to undertake. Finish it by April 24, 2025, and the new item is ours.

If you want to get started, you need to head to Old Gridania. An NPC named Jihli Aliapoh is waiting there at X:10.2, Y:9.4. Talking to the character will kick off “In Pursuit of Eggcellence,” provided you’re at level 15 when you do. Completing that nets you the new parasol called the Archon Egg Parasol.

Here’s how that FFXIV Archon Egg Parasol looks:

There's a whole new parasol to pick up in Final Fantasy XIV, as one was added for the 2025 FFXIV Hatching-tide Easter event.

As usual, some past items will be available via the Dreamer. In addition, other old Hatching-tide items for FFXIV will be sold in the Final Fantasy XIV Online Store.

Last year, there wasn’t a dedicated Hatching-tide. Instead, Square Enix combined it with Little Ladies’ Day. The item we could get was the Peatie mount. That mount later appeared in the Online Store for actual money, which allowed people who missed it to still pick one up.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the FFXIV Hatching-tide Easter event will run between April 9-24, 2025.

While these are some of the most extensive adjustments for the Pictomancer in FFXIV recently, we’ve seen job changes for the class before. For example, immediately in 7.01, there were some Aetherhues and Subtractive Palette updates. There were also alterations to the Hammer Motif, Pom Motif, and Starry Sky Motif abilities in 7.1.

Final Fantasy XIV and its Dawntrail expansion are live for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the FFXIV 7.2 patch and job changes will be live on March 25, 2025.

See 7.2 FFXIV The Arcadion: Cruiserweight Division Raid Screenshots

Ahead of the 7.2 Final Fantasy XIV update, Square Enix updated the official Seekers of Eternity site with The Arcadion: Cruiserweight Division Raid screenshots and FFXIV Fan Kit with wallpaper images. Both are designed to highlight the NPCs and opponents we’ll face after the next Dawntrail update.

In the case of the The Arcadion: Cruiserweight Division Raid screenshots, it doesn’t feature any major FFXIV spoilers. The images start with event scenes of characters and highlights of the three major bosses in the fight. Only one of their in-game forms is shown. The eighth one in that batch does reveal the equipment that we’ll be able to earn by going through the new Raid.

Here’s that batch. As we can see in the images, many of them are wearing the Regulator from Dawntrail, which is now being sold in real life by Square Enix.

In the case of the FFXIV Fan Kit, the wallpaper update is showing only on social media at the moment. The official site for it doesn’t show the new images yet. However, there will be 7.2 wallpapers for mobile devices and PCs. You can see how both of those look in the images Square Enix shared below:

These aren’t the only recent updates to the 7.2 Final Fantasy XIV site and FFXIV Fan Kit. At the end of February 2025, the media kit added new items tied to Dawntrail additions and jobs. And ahead of the Letter from the Producer Live LXXXVI (86) that went over the new update, the special site opened the first week of March 2025

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the 7.2 patch arrives on March 25, 2025

Final Fantasy XIV FFXIV new whiskey bottles based on Ancient Primals Hydaelin and Zodiark

Nagahama Distillery revealed that it is continuing its collaboration with Square Enix, which means it will produce more Final Fantasy XIV-branded whiskey bottles. The second wave of the FFXIV whiskey products will feature the Ancient Primals Hydaelin and Zodiark.

The companies first collaboration appeared back in late 2023, when the two revealed three whiskey bottles themed after three locations in the FFXIV world. These brought Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, and Ul'dah into the real world. The new wave will instead feature the two contrasting Ancient Primals, which are the Divine Light Hydaelin and the Eternal Darkness Zodiark.

Hydaelin's whiskey will be completely made in the UK with grain and malt. Meanwhile, the Zodiark drink will only consist of malt, with combined productions from the UK and Japan. Both bottles will contain 700ml (~23.67 oz) of liquor with 47% alcohol, and they also have the same price tag of 8,000 yen (~$53.35) before tax.

Here are the sample images showing the whiskey bottles and their packages:

The Final Fantasy XIV Amahagan whiskey bottles modeled after Hydaelin and Zodiark will be formally available for sale on May 13, 2025. Nagahama Distillery will hold early-bird sales on Isetan's MOO:D MARK website from March 26, 2025, until April 15, 2025. The latter will also sell a new batch of the first three whiskey bottles during the same period. This is not the first time the location-based whiskey got restocked, as Nagahama did it previously in 2024.

These collaborative whiskey bottles take inspiration from Final Fantasy XIV, the MMORPG available to play on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Final Fantasy XIV Minion LINE Stickers Include Fat Cat

Square Enix released a new pack of Final Fantasy XIV stickers for the LINE messaging app featuring various recognizable minions from the MMORPG, including the Fat Cat or the Sand Fox, among others. [Thanks, aitaikimochi!]

The new FFXIV LINE sticker set is the fifth pack to come out based on the online RPG, and it costs 250 yen (or about $1.69.) The set includes 40 different stickers, and some of them include captions with text in Japanese. Most of the stickers focus on Minions looking cute, emoting, or making humorous expressions. However, some miscellaneous stickers are also included such as a dialogue box, a thought bubble, a Brink of Death status effect icon, and the "Level Up!" text.

You can take a better look at the various Final Fantasy XIV LINE stickers in the Volume 5 set here:

Other FFXIV LINE sticker sets have previously focused on iconic characters in the game and have been more text-heavy, with a lot more Japanese dialogue. However, some other LINE stickers have been inspired by community jokes, such as the infamous hexagonal low poly grapes. Yoshi-P even commented on the grape sticker back when it first released.

Final Fantasy XIV is readily available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
