Type-Moon will publish a new title in the Fate series. Comptiq has revealed on Twitter that the prologue for the new Fate title will appear as a novel in the 14th volume of Type-Moon Ace. It will feature new characters in a new setting, and the publisher has also shown one of the new characters in the teaser tweet.

Comptiq also announced that Hikaru Sakurai and Shirow Miwa will comprise the key staff composition of this new title. Hikaru Sakurai is a writer who has also been involved with the Fate series since the 2014 novel Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver. Shirow Miwa is an illustrator who had also designed characters in Sega's 7th Dragon series and Atlus' title, Soul Hackers 2. Miwa also took part in Fate/Grand Order by deg Brynhildr and Sigurd.

Fate is a series of stories that primarily depict fictional wars between modern-day mages who can summon Servants based on historical or mythological figures. The franchise began with Fate/stay night, which originally appeared as a visual novel on PCs in 2004. Its popularity rose after an anime adaptation aired in 2006.

Type-Moon has since created more novels, games, and anime shows based on the franchise. Its largest title to date is Fate/Grand Order, a mobile game that has been available on Android and iOS mobile devices since 2015.

The new Fate novel will appear in the 14th volume of Type-Moon Ace magazine, which will release in Japan on April 12, 2022.

Type-Moon started out as a doujin soft visual novel group that released its first commercial work, Fate/stay night, in January 2004. Fate/Grand Order is available on iPhone and Android.
